Crown Hill Park is a hidden gem of open space on the Westside of the city. This park boasts easy walking/hiking/biking trails that lead around the lake. There are plenty of places to sit and contemplate while taking in the views. There is also a wildlife sanctuary located here that was dedicated on Earth Day in 1990. People like to bring their horses for easy rides as well. This park is hardly busy, and if you are seeking a quiet space to just relax and unplug, this is your go-to.

This is a great “flat lander” park. Crown Hill Lake is the centerpiece of a network of trails. The trail closest to the lake that loops around it is nicely paved, handicap accessible and offers several park benches where you can sit and soak in the beautiful surroundings. The park offers something for everyone. Walkers, joggers, runners and bikers can find trails that give them room to enjoy the day without encroaching on others enjoyment. Glancing west you can take in a panorama of foot hills and distant mountains that include several 14’ers. This is a nice getaway close to Denver for a quick escape to nature. There is plenty of parking. There are even two spaces with charging stations for your electric vehicle.

I love to walk around the lake. This is a small walk it takes around 30 minutes, it is flat and commented. Usually here is windy Every season. Great view towards the mountains. Winter is frozen. It's a busy park. Comfortable parking lot. In the summer period I advise to walk inside the bird sanctuary (no dogs or bike are allowed). It's magical small 15 walk around the pouwn inside of the reservoir, and it's free preserved area!!!! A lot of mosquitoes during spring. Lovely Aspen 🌴 during fall time. You can listen and observe different 🕊️ flying and fighting and playing during the summer and fall period. There is something very beautiful and mesmerizing about this park. Just lovely 🌹

This is such a beautiful lake! Stopped by one day to eat lunch and had to bring the whole family down, we've already been twice and plan on making this a routine outing. The lake isn't too unbearable to walk all around. There are places you can get really close to the water under beautiful trees that make for some great pictures, there is a telescope 🔭 and we saw a lot of people fishing out there.

We've been coming here with the kids to walk after work. We have seen lots of wildlife, including a coyote, bunnies, a variety of birds, fish, insects and butterflies. It is never crowded when we go (5-7pm range) and hosts a fairly regular crowd of dog owners. It's an easy loop with beautiful views and benches positioned perfectly in front of some of the best spots. Definitely a worthy spot of more professional or family photos. Worth noting the bugs do start to come out as it gets closer to 8pm!

one of the more beautiful lake parks around denver, with wide paved or dirt trails to choose from, a small wildlife sanctuary, clean restroom facility (in the main parking lot), and loads of space. It feels quiet even when it's fairly busy, and it's beautiful no matter the weather.

My favorite sunrise spot near Denver. I go here for peace and serenity and to start the work day strong.

Such a Beautiful Park!! We really enjoyed an afternoon walk around the lake. There are a bunch of paths that interconnect so there’s several routes that you can choose to go on! The main path surrounding the lake is pretty wide and nicely paved, which makes it great for biking / rollerblading / skateboarding!

Nice cement paved path around the lake, inner path was about 1 mile. The outer path was about 2.3 miles. Many benches around the lake to sit, relax and enjoy the view, sometimes of the range in the distance. Had a nice viewing scope to take closer look at scenery. Also a nature sanctuary on the opposite side from the parking lot, which I did not walk, had to save something for next time. Not as many birds as expected, except for the Canadian geese and Mallards. Very nice clean bathrooms near the parking lot.

Stunning view. Lovely sidewalk and trail paths. Perfect for all adventurers. Just short of 1.5 miles one time around the water on the sidewalk path.

Nice local spot with an easy, *almost* entirely flat paved loop. Optional multiuser gravel paths (horses, bikes, etc.) Good foothill views. Like any local park with walking paths it gets busy and parking fill up on weekends when the weather is pleasant. Basic, clean restrooms. Neighboring nature preserve closes seasonally (i.e., springtime.)

Superb location in the middle of town to go for a morning walk or short walk after work. In winters this place turns out to be very beautiful.

Amazing park to walk around, very scenic with great views of the mountains. Plant life and tree life is very active and very prominent if you like nature walks. Very popular walking spot for many people. Good spot for taking your dog or dogs. Everyone is very friendly.

This is a nearby park my brother and I drove to for a break from some house work we were doing. It is great because it is flat land for my achy knees, hills get to me after a longer hike. There were some miniature ponies in the corral when we arrived. So cute to see. We only took about 20 minutes to walk partway around it and enjoyed our break immensely. Seeing the water, some fever few and cattails was an awesome natural sight away from the house. I even sat for a moment to listen to the water flow over the spillway. My brother has taken me to this spot before on another visit about a year or more ago. We rode bikes around the lake twice and then had walked all the way around. It's a great nature spot, especially when you want an easier time of walking or biking.
