Really amazing, I can’t remember how many tombs in there, there’s lot. It’s a little bit scary its dark I don’t know why they don’t have lamps down below. But it’s a great experience and recommend to visit. The Tomb of the Prophets Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi (Arabic: قبر النبيا Qubur El Anbiyya, lit. "Grave (of) The Prophets") is an ancient burial site located on the upper western slope of the Mount of Olives, Jerusalem. According to a medieval Jewish tradition also adopted by Christians, the catacomb is believed to be the burial place of Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi, the last three Hebrew Bible prophets who are believed to have lived during the 6th-5th centuries BC. Archaeologists have dated the three earliest burial chambers to the 1st century BC, thus contradicting the tradition.

I don't want to write a negative review but I must give it one star to equal out the rating. I visited the site alone and waited 30 minutes for the old man to finish his meal, which is fine. When I asked the sons how much it cost to go inside he said "five or something like that" -- already I could tell this is a family that is sitting on something and intend to gouge visitors. If anything, being situated near the top of the Mount of Olives and overcharging for water on the side should be a sign of things to come. The old man gave me a basic explanation of the complex, gave me time to pray which was appreciated. I had 20 on me and he simply put it in his pocket and said thank you -- he said he is charging more for the "explanation and for sitting while you pray". Others who visited, according to Google maps, paid five for a tour, candle and all. Just be warned and talk about prices before you go in. Experience it with some scepticism as well, pay your respects but understand that the inscription for Zachariah is only about 800 years old and it was only "confirmed" to be the resting place of the three prophets after the six-day war. All the old man told me is that those who confirmed it were "Jewish". The candle light may be cooler in a group rather than in your own, you may also get the normal 5 shekels price too.

Very original entrance to the cave where 50 where burried. 3 of them were reputed to be old testament prophets. VERY DARK. bring a light or buy a candle from the sole priest here.

A beautifully moving place to be. There is nothing like standing in a place that was dug out of honour roughly 2,500 years ago. It cost 10 shekels to get in as it is maintained by those who live nearby. They are protective of it, for obvious reasons, but they are kind to visitors. Inside you will find the places where the Old Testament prophets Haggai, Malachi, and Zechariah were buried, as well as some of their followers. It was definitely worth the hike up the Mount of Olives, not to mention you get a great view from above!

A really nice viewpoint to the Temple Mount and the old town of Jerusalem. If it's possible come early in the morning otherwise it is to crowdedly.

I went here on a Thursday just after noon and afternoon prayer. Times to visit religious sites are very important to know as a visitor, not down vote on stars for being locked. A humbling experience, and definitely worth a visit. You'll find it just half way down a flight of stairs from Rehavam Lookout Point.

One of my new favorite locations! Amazing underground large burial site. Pitch black so you need candles or sone source of lighting to make your way around. Will definitely return!

A fun stop when walking from the a Mount of Olives to the Western Wall. They've got restrooms, a cold water fountain, and even a small sitting area to rest in the shade.

It is the tomb of the prophets Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi, which is located in private property. Then the family opens for tourists. It costs 5 ILS per person. Visitor is given a candle. It is dark and slippery then visitors must be careful when you walk inside. Visitors are allowed to use smart phone attached flash light. It may take only ten minutes. It is unique experience. It is recommended for those who are interested in biblical and historical places.

The old guy is a money grabber, quite pushy to get 10 shekels from me and not give me more change. He gave me a tiny candle which only lit my hand and basically pushed me into various black holes. Avoid it!

The cemetery is a very holy place but it's not the best neighborhood. It is impossible to get there on public transportation and when we wanted to leave we couldn't even find a taxi. Most of the taxis won't go there. We had to call someone to pick us up. It was a little bit scary.

Very exciting and cool (pun intended) experience! Not very busy, as it is not on the plan for most tourist groups. We were all alone in the tomb with a guide. Definitely recommend taking the offered candles for exploring the tombs. They are not very vast, but the atmosphere is great and the guides explanations were quite interesting. All that for just 10 NIS per person.

Most memorable and held communion afterwards. In my mind that is where Jesus died, laid in the tomb and rose again on the third day. He is alive forevermore.

In February 2022 it was closed as it was flooded. It generally looks like a typical countryside backyard, but as I said didn't manage to see the actual tombs because of floods. Check in advance.
