Jafra is a traditional coffee shop & restaurant offering local Jordanian specialties & shisha. Finding its location is kind of an adventure. Once you find its hidden place, you would be a regular customer. Every time I am visiting or traveling through Amman, I can't resist going there to enjoy the night with friends over the live music, great food, and smoking shisha. You would feel like home as the waiters there are very welcoming and friendly.

It is a nice place to meet friends and family ... old faction style place with a lot of famous people pictures as a lot of Antiques around the seating ... The menu is Rich with different choices and traditional foods and drinks from different cultures ... There is a painting section and artists if you would like to get a painting of yourself ... Also there is a musician who plays Oud (an arabic musical instrument) ... The only this that you won't like is the AC it was hot inside ... But if you set outside you will see the old city center of Amman.

A friend told me to go to Jafra to try some local food. He told me this was one of his favorite restaurant so I had to come and visit. The food was awesome. I wanted to try everything. The atmosphere was very cool too. The menu is on both Arabic and English.

It is one of the most beautiful authentic nice places at downtown (albalad) in Amman... I've been there way too many times in the past. However (can't find pictures 😕) They have a delicious variety of Arabic food 😋 With some nice Arabic live music show at night 🎶 What I love about them the most is their boycotting policies and how the place is very suitable for families and friends ❤️ Employers are very nice and sweet!

Prices are higher than average but considering the ambiance and quality, it's reasonably priced. The place is considered one of the oldest cafés in Downtown, however the renovation outside and some renovations inside ruined its history a little bit, it has a small balcony overlooking at downtown street. It offers soups, starters, salds, main courses l, desert, soft drinks, hot drinks and cocktails and the infamous SHISHA(HUBBLY BUBBLY). The food quality is good, the portions are fair but it is overpriced for a place in downtown and i believe it became more expensive as it is considered as tourists Café. One of my favourite places in Amman. The theme and overall atmosphere just brings you back home. The food is so good too, and I love visiting early in the day as it is not too crowded, there is AC, and it's too relaxing and beautiful. Highly recommended. PS. Kids below 18 or 21 are not allowed.

We tried the chicken sajiyeh, the kebab and the cheese manakish. Everything was super tasty and I found the prices fair. The staff was super kind, even though their English was not enough sometimes. The balcony is super, we waited ~10 minutes to get a table outside and it was totally worth it.

The whole restaurant has a great open, warm, welcoming atmosphere even when you first arrive you walk past the kitchen, where you can see all of the action! When we arrived the inside was mostly empty but after an hour was packed. The experience was good, you can see some beautiful deserts showcased and a lot of the dishes have arrive in an interesting way (by flame or clay pots). The staff is engaging and attentive, it felt like they really care about your experience. They had some live music playing that fit perfectly with the 'buzz' from all of the tables. Service was quick and the prices were good! The food was great but they also have fresh juices, fruit mocktails, and smoothies that were perfectly refreshing.

I have been to Jafra a few times while visiting the downtown area and was never disappointed. The traditional Jordanian food is very good as is the atmosphere. Sometimes during the evenings there will be live music. It is worth walking around the restaurant to see all the artifacts - it's like an antiques museum. Also, try to get a seat on the balcony where you can see the hustle and bustle of downtown Amman. The prices were very reasonable. Mainly locals frequent this restaurant but every now and then you will see a tour guide bring in his clients to show them a traditional Jordanian restaurant.

Amazing food and a great atmosphere. I had the lamb kofta kebab and my friend had the lamb shoulder. We were both very happy with the food! The presentation of the lamb shoulder was spectacular. It could have fed 3 people.

We always end up going back to it. It's a really nice place with really good food. I like sitting outside, but inside is also amazing. I never tasted something that wasn't good there. They're not super cheap nor super expensive, you can eat there for 12 JODs on average. I highly recommend it!
