Loved getting to spend a week at Bodhi Surf + Yoga. They create an environment that allows you to completely take a break from the stresses of your at-home-life while creating a schedule that has the perfect balance of activities and rest. The staff and service is really good which definitely contributed to the wonderful experience we had here. The staff are helpful and interesting people who really care about their work. I could not imagine Bodhi without each of them as each brings their own uniqueness to the table. Bodhi is a Benefit Corporation and thus has a mission to connect people to the community and environment in a way that leaves you very grateful for the people around you and wanting to be apart of the good in the community you're apart of. I'm staying in Uvita for a few days and spontaneously decided to try surfing for the first time - contacted Bodhi and I was able to join a beginners lesson. The beach we went to was perfect for beginners and I fully enjoyed the 2 hours of instruction - instructor Spencer was really clear in his explanations, mindful of my issues (coordination!) and very encouraging! Thanks Bodhi for the experience

I stayed with Bodhi back in November and had a great week! Everybody on the staff was so kind, caring, and accommodating, and invested in making it a great stay. Bodhi renewed my yoga practice. And while it was a windy week in rainy season, I learned so much from Travis and Spencer in the water. I got food poisoning one night (from a restaurant in town) and they brought me meals to my door, and Adrianne brought me to the store to help me get supplies. What I enjoyed most was their efforts as a B-corp and their active interest and investment in the local community, and how they make it part of your visit too. Thank you Bodhi! (and sorry this is so late)

I had a fantastic time on my first solo trip to Bodhi! Bodhi is a welcoming and friendly place and the team is very kind and helpful. The combination of great food, good company, and the opportunity to learn how to surf makes it a very unique experience. Slowing down and immersing yourself in a new environment can be a transformative and I would highly recommend this place for it.

Great location, super cool vibes. Travis was very accommodating and worked with my schedule even though we didn’t have the numbers for a class. Luis, my instructor was chill, supportive and just about perfect at pushing my boundaries safely. My only downside was my own. Should have prepared better cardio. I plan on some more individual lessons as soon as the surfs right. Next trip I hope to bring my wife for some yoga classes. I don’t think you can go wrong with these folks.

This was truly an unforgettable experience! The location was unbeatable. The Bodhi staff were passionate and vibrant individuals who shared their expertise with enthusiasm and professionalism. The surf and yoga lessons were top notch. Bodhi truly delivered a robust and impactful experience. I would recommend this camp without any hesitation!

Bodhi walks their talk. If you want to experience community and connectedness, this is the place for you. They have created an experience that is woven into the fabric of the local community, and you'll immediately drop in and feel like you are at home. This is not a corporatized experience; you'll interact with the local community, you'll share meals with the team, and you'll be supporting a number of small businesses. And that's saying nothing about the idyllic location and elegant instruction by all of the team supporting the surfing and yoga. You'll be well supported, well fed, and well taken care of. Get in there and smile while you paddle! Can't wait to come back.

How can I adequately put this into words. Simply put: go! Allow yourself to experience an authentic community of ocean advocates, conscientious individuals who are passionate about offering each guest a unique opportunity to immerse into a culture of love. Love of the ocean. Love of family. Love of the local community. Love of health. Love of the planet. Love of life. I’m not sure I’ve ever felt more cared for in my life. This was the biggest blessing of my time at Bodhi. As a therapist and a mother I often find I am more concerned with the care of others. The opportunity to receive was a huge gift. My experience at Bodhi Surf and Yoga Camp was a perfect combination of relaxation, social time, nature time, and adventure. The entire staff are all wonderful people who are eager to help make your experience great. The accommodations were beautiful, comfortable, and pristine. The food was delicious with plenty of options for all diets. The yoga classes were personalized to each person's level and were the perfect complement to the physical experience of learning to surf. All the teachers both in yoga and surfing were top of the line fantastic and gave personalized attention to each guest. I also appreciated the sustainability efforts and community involvement of Bodhi—a caring business that understands the importance of supporting community and caring for the planet. I loved every moment of my experience at Bodhi. I highly recommend a week or two at Bodhi for any age person and for women traveling solo.

This phenomenal trip to Bodhi consisted of 1) feeling an immediate sense of BELONGING/family with staff and fellow guests that I just met, 2) being TAKEN CARE OF from the my name on a card when picked up at the airport, 1st night at a hotel in San Jose booked that included free breakfast, van transportation with the reliable, friendly and informative Wali, cool coconut water and warm 1st greeting from George when we arrived, the accommodations that feel like an extension of their home with love and thought put into every single detail, the mouth watering and healthy food by Fanny (I will be purchasing the cookbook) and more! 3) LEARNING about the area with the community walk by our knowledgeable guide, going to surf school with Travis to learn about his surfing journey, waves, surfing history, etc so that I felt connected to the community and every day gradually more comfortable with pushing myself more each day at the beach, going on the Coconut Tour with David to see his Pura Vida approach to living life and sharing the amazing coconut with others.4) INSPIRING to learn about Bodhi's commitment to giving back to the community, respecting nature, having staff that 100% align with their values/mission, the yoga classes with the phenomenal Anki helping my body and mind unwind....I could go on and on about Bodhi and there is so much more that is just hard to put into words. Every time I reflect on my experience their my eyes well up with tears of joy and wonder. Bodhi was the perfect place for my first solo trip, I hope to be back and now want vacations that will have a similar impact on my entire being. Thank you, Bodhi!
