I was excited to have an authentic croissant and support downtown businesses participating in the Fall for Greenville virtual discount book I purchased. We looked at the menu in advance and were impressed with the variety of selections and good reviews, but when we arrived a much different experience unfolded. We arrived shortly after noon on Sunday and when we went to order were told the kitchen was no longer open (even though the hours state open until 4) but they could make a ham, egg and cheese or a bacon, egg and cheese croissant, those were the only two options. I inquired about a slice of quiche and was told they only sell half or whole quiches, not slices. We were hungry so settled and ordered the bacon egg and cheese croissant. I did inquire as to when we should plan to arrive next time to ensure the kitchen was open and was told that it depends, but usually it closes between 2 and 3. Again, it was about 12:30 PM when we ordered. I also ordered an iced latte and was told they were out of ice, so I passed and got water. When the food arrived, it looked delicious but was very disappointing. The croissant was tough, the eggs were super overcooked and the consistency of hard boiled egg, and the bacon was underdone and chewy. It tasted 100% microwaved and was fairly inedible, despite my best efforts. The photo is what was left uneaten. The service was terrible as well. No one even checked to see how the food was after it was served to us. Another table inquired how the meal was because it looked so delicious and I had to honestly tell them it was not very good and I wouldn’t order it again. The staff heard this conversation and still said nothing, even after most of my meal was left uneaten. I love supporting local businesses, and would love to give it another try because all businesses make mistakes, but the attitude of carelessness I experienced here would keep me from returning.

I'm sure their products taste delicious, but the photos/marketing for the Croquembouche is extremely misleading. I understand when you purchase edible art it will always vary from the photo, but this is not the same product visually by any means. You are not purchasing the beautiful, detailed, unique, high end product from their website photo. In addition, the décor you see in their website photo is NOT included. More importantly they do not communicate that with you nor is it listed on their website that the details vary dependent on the weather, or *the size you purchase* or whatever else excuse that they gave me...which, it was not raining that day nor was it humid and the delivery was 20-30 minutes from their shop. Since Google won't allow me to post the photo from their website for comparison, below is just the picture of the item I received... you can go to their website and look at the Croquembouche for yourself to see how different these items are. I respectfully spoke to the owner in hopes there was an error, or that he would take the right steps to amend the situation and I provided the photo below and was basically given a plethora of excuses summed up with, "it is what it is". So just be aware. In response to his professional comment below, who would want to purchase from a café where the owner is rude, extremely pretentious and berates his customers for politely and respectfully communicating an issue. As for his comment about purchasing the "cheapest" version of this desert, I was purchasing this item for only 2 people and it still cost $95. The only thing cheap about this purchase, was the product I actually received, Vincent, you aren't doing customers a "favor" by selling false advertised goods. No clue how this guy is still in business, the croissants MUST be delicious.

Cute little bakery spot. They close at 4, and I arrived a little after three. I was greeted by a very nice gentleman who explained his products to us. We ended up buying macarons, almond croissants, and a mandarin tart. I ate the macarons and they were pretty good. They were a little dry but were tasty. The almond croissants were horribly dry, and were hard to get down. I did not try the mandarin tart, however, the presentation was beautiful and every bite was eaten by my grandmother. Like a true bakery, I would imagine that if you arrived earlier in the day, the products would be fresher. Arriving at the end of the day, we got the end of the day batches. However, I would definitely come back due to the kind interaction with the gentleman and the tasty macarons!

The almond croissants are the best around gvl!! Giving a 4 star tho because the chocolate croissants are NEVER available no matter what time ive stopped in. Seems like no one working wants to make anymore once the few are sold. The mixed berry ones are just ok. Definitely try the almond and hopefully someday i can find a choc one to try. Ive heard they are good and once ive heard the workers offered to make you one on the spot if you asked but i asked last time and they have just said sold out and sat back down.

Tbh, I wasn't expecting much when I saw a 4.2 review but I was looking for a quick snack/bite for my parents and came across this place. I'd say the offerings here are alot better than a 4.2 rating. I'd consider this place worthy of a 4.5/5 star rating. I ordered all 3 off croissants sandwiches, and plain croissants and was pleased with the way they came out. The croissants were fresh, crispy, and fluffy. They were as good as what you come to expect at a bakery. The sandwiches were great. You can't go wrong with any of them. The only thing I wished were that the sandwiches were little bit cheaper. At $13/14 is a bit of a stretch for the dollar. But anyways, when you're in a pinch or looking for solid croissants/croissants sandwiches then stop by this place.

I’ve been a customer since they opened a few years ago. No, I don’t know the owners personally, but they are always gracious when you walk in. It’s a true taste of France, or at least as close as you can get in the US. I buy probably four entremets at once because they’re fantastic, and the chocolate truffles are a dream come true. Everything is made by hand, and, yes, that is going to create pieces that aren’t the exact same as a picture. If you don’t keep pieces in an environment that will be conducive to their structure and integrity, *any errors are on you*. A few years ago I purchased a chocolate rose in a cloche for my mother. It was a hefty price (she still has the cloche), and it was perfect. It stayed perfect **because I kept it in a cool environment away from direct sunlight as I was instructed to do.** I have never had a bad experience at LPC. Any time I have had a concern, I spoke up and it was handled promptly and with grace. If you treat them as the professionals they are it will be reciprocated.

What a fun find! Having not been to Greenville before, this was a great little surprise. Yummy, buttery 🥐(chocolate, almond, butter) Flakey, crispy and soft. Just like you’d find in a Parisian boulangerie. Macrons in every flavor, fruit tarts, along with coffee and food menus make this a great stop while wandering downtown Greenville, SC. Bon appétit

The croissants are stunning. Rarely have I seen such light, crispy, large croissants. Fresh, perfectly buttered, plenty of variety (almond, chocolate, plain, etc.) - these croissants are well worth the (reasonable) prices.

By far the most delicious item on the menu was the almond croissant. The layers of dough and flavor were spot on. Truly a better croissant than some I had in France. We also enjoyed the Parisian breakfast sandwich and the BEC. Price point is a little high but expected for the high quality. Cappuccino was a little disappointing, just ok. we went back 2 days in a row because we couldn't resist!

This was my first time visiting Greenville along with Le Petit Croissant ( The little croissant) for you none speaking French people. I’ve had croissant sandwiches and other forms from grocery stores and other cafes. This experience was different and much more enjoyable. This croissant was buttery, slightly crispy and smelled amazing. The Pro tip I got from the chef was to dip in my coffee and Oh man was that something else! I enjoyed every second of the croissant and recommend you go try it also. As soon as you walk into the shop on the left hand side you can see all the accolades from the chef and see why the croissant is so delicious. Enjoy! From a vegas local

This is a difficult time, and for my wife's birthday this week we planned a party where we would serve the French dessert croquembouche. Le Petit Croissant was the ONLY place in the Upstate that could make this for us, and even with changed circumstances the Chef still delivered an AMAZING smaller version to our home for our revised family celebration. I can't thank him enough for the service and delightful quality of this unique treat!

The croissants are to die for. We really enjoyed them, perfectly flaky and tasty. I had the almond and my husband plain with our coffees, which were the best in Greenville. Our son had the macarons and he recommends the cookies and cream as it was delicious. Just one cheeky recommendation which is on the interior design which is to move one of the super comfy chairs/settee and table to the front window (rather than at the back) and move the counter to the middle to make it more comfortable and make better use of the space. We thoroughly recommend.

Visited a few times and they never have much of a selection on hand of croissants. Got lucky once on the almond croissant and it was delicious but Its been hit or miss each time. One employee actually said over the phone "the owner isn't here, there are no sandwiches." I dont know what that meant. So why have employees who aren't trained to make any. Its a good spot but Not looking good if this continues this way. After seeing the management's reply, I appreciate their imput although cynical as it was. My business '2 cents' were said as an unappreciated patron. Good luck

Stopped in here on a girls weekend. It was such an amazing experience we went there two more times. Highly recommend a croissant sandwich but the chocolate croissant was pure magic. I could have ate all of them in the case. The croissants were so flaky, I could peel off the layers and eat them one by one. It was magical. Best croissants I have ever ate in America. I originally came for just a latte but after seeing the food options, I just had to indulge. If you are visiting Greenville this place needs to be on your list to eat at!

This place could be really nice with a few changes. I got the Almond Croissant and when you get Almond flavor it is a good croissant. It is flaky and has a nice crunch. Would be better with more almond and warmed.

Wow, a really good French bakery. The baguettes are fantastic (and authentic French baguettes), while the croissants are out of this world! Coffee good as well. I was traveling, not a regular, but I'll stop here again when in the area. I deducted one star for service since it took a while for the croissant sandwich I ordered, but that's a small thing. Really, this place is excellent!!!

Under new ownership! Quite the fantastic French baguette, croissant coffee place. They even have fresh quiche! French trained baker set up in a state of the art kitchen on south Main Street! The French chocolate inside the croissant was amazing! My favorite was the ham and egg croissant with fresh parmesan! The coffee was fresh. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food came out fast! And the line was out the door. A new regular spot for me! Did you see the macarons and oh yeah, they have classes!

yummiest pastries!!! croissants better than i had in paris! fork glided right through tiramisu pastry which melts in your mouth. my mom and grandma got croissant sandwiches, which were delicious and satisfying; my mom struggled to finish the whole thing. yummy coffee, fast service, kind employees!

Not sure why the lower rating. Croissants are excellent. And if you go early in the morning still warm from the oven. The baguette is also exceptional. My understanding from one of the employees, the baker is French trained and the ingredients come from France.

Bacon, egg & cheese crossiant was pretty good! I found it abit pricey, but nice little cafe for breakfast & lunch located in Downtown Greenville.

Maybe we went at a bad time but I didn’t love my experience or food here. I tried the apple tart and a croissant around 9am on a Saturday. Both were dry (especially the tart) and the cappuccino was pretty much just a cup of milk with no foam.

Le Petit Croissant baking class with chef Victor. You are looking at my croissants.I totally enjoyed this class, great meeting new people, and if course I took my croissants home. Baguettes 🙂.

Around $4.95 for a tiny latte (smaller than a Starbuck's tall size) that tasted like burnt espresso and hardly any syrup in it. There is a menu of food items but they don't make them after a certain time, only food that can be purchased is what's in the display...although, avocado toast is on the menu, so it just doesn't make sense. Can't say the service was the best either.

Ok tried several days for croissants & bc it’s in your name - so thought they would be a staple..Nope-nada..came on a Tuesday at 10 am one broken croissant in the case, came Thursday at 11 am none & told come back at 8 am tomorrow. So promptly went down the block to Old Europe Bakery & got lovely croissants & coffee!

Amazing pastries and great service!! I ordered 30 croissants and 30 macarons for a company event, and these pastries were a smash! Not only was every employee very helpful with answering questions and helping find the best items to order, when there were some croissant casualties, they stepped in with great replacements!
