I am Mary Pace, wife of Jerry Pace, and was referred for physical therapy for low back pain that would not go away and was getting worse. It had gotten so bad I couldn't stand for very long and could walk only short distances without being totally fatigued. Carolina Orthopedic Rehab was recommended to me by several people. When I called, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The therapist very patiently listened and asked a lot of questions about the pain I was experiencing. He then outlined a plan for recovery which included walking, stretches, and traction. After the first week I already had begun to feel more limber and could breath better. The assistant is most patient and stays with me the whole time, making suggestions and explaining the different muscles and what they do. He has new suggestions with every visit. Everyone was so kind! I appreciate how my daughter was cared for and treated. She felt comfortable there! Even when we had to reschedule and work with some insurance issues everything was resolved quickly and efficiently. We have been to another facility in the county but this one is by far the best. I had surgery for a torn rotator cuff and bicep tendon repair in late March. A friend of mine recommended Carolina Orthopedic Rehab and Ken Ellsworth for PT. Ken, Aaron and Kristy did an awesome job during my three and one half months of rehabilitation. I am now back to where I nearly was before my injury working and playing golf. I highly recommend Carolina Orthopedic Rehab because they were patient, knowledgeable and professional throughout the recovery. 5 Stars!!

After breaking both legs which required a massive external fixator, 5 surgeries, 2 metal plates and a dozen screws, we all knew PT was not going to be easy. It wasn't and I didn't want it to be. After each PT session, I was always tired, usually for the rest of the day. That was fine and taken as progress. I slept well at night. The staff was exceptionally knowledgeable and professional in their assessments and recommendations. Regular adjustments were made to the routine as the degree of my mobility steadily increased. More than any other aspect of the therapy, the key points of each session stuck with me when doing my 'homework.' I'd start to get sloppy or careless with some particular exercise and with no one around, I could instantly hear my therapist (in her subtle but convincing manner) to stand up straight or point my foot forward. I would enthusiastically recommend Carolina Ortho...

The professional staff at Carolina Rehab worked hard to help me achieve the goals necessary to completely recover from total knee replacement. Ken and Aaron came up with the right strategy and kept me motivated. The location is convenient, the workout space was always clean and bright and they were always on time and ready for me. The individual therapy is wonderful! I had surgery on my right heel almost six months ago, and wondered when the pain would subside. The surgeon said it could take up to a year. I started PT at a different location, but it didn't seem like it was filling the need. I changed to Carolina Orthopedic Rehab, and that made all the difference. Today was my last session, and while I have exercises to do at home, my heel no longer has that shooting pain. Thank you Ken and Kelly!

I can’t say enough good things about C.O.R.! Aaron is my therapist; he is thorough, listens to what I have to say and adjusts treatment accordingly. Ken did the initial consult to recommend my treatment plan, and he handles the follow-up consults as well. He too is, a good listener, asks the right questions and shows interest in my answers. The treatments for my back worked great! Then we started on my shoulder, but it’s healing too slowly so they advised me to go to my primary care physician again for next-step options. I like that they are looking for the best solution for me rather than for their bottom line! I must include Kristy in my review; she is the Administrative Assistant/ Receptionist. Great personality. always a bright smile; if I want to chat she takes time to do so, but if I want to just be quiet she lets me be. I highly recommend C.O.R.!

I highly recommend this PT practice. They are exceedingly knowledgeable, provide excellent oversight, and are caring. They listen to my questions and address my concerns. Being a small practice, it doesn't feel like a gym. It's actually fun! With Ken and Kelly's help, I "graduated" 11 weeks after my surgery. My surgeon, who had referred me to them, is very impressed with my rapid recovery. Kristy is such a welcoming presence and super efficient. I'm going to miss them!

I had the most wonderful experience with this office! As soon as you walk into the office you’re made to feel like you’re at home. You are greeted by Kristy at the front desk who is always very friendly and genuine. My physical therapist was Jason Morgan. Jason was the most patient, supportive and professional person. I am a 55 year old dental hygienist who happened to have and accident and broke my arm. I developed a frozen shoulder and was in severe pain and discomfort. Jason was my therapist for about 4 months of treatment. He was extremely knowledgeable and understanding of my injury and my ability to get better. He guided me throughout challenging exercises and hands on treatment while being personable and competent. He made my workouts fun yet extremely demanding. Spending months together plugging away every important detail, “we” accomplished something that I never thought could happen. I had an excellent experience at Carolina Orthopedic Rehab recovering from total knee replacement surgery. Over the course of a couple of months, I entered using a walker and left skipping out the door. They provided appropriate exercises all along the way to enable me to increase flexibility and improve my muscle strength. Ken, Aaron and Kristy were pleasant to work with and encouraging. If I ever need their services again, I will not hesitate to call on them.

I have nothing but good things to say about Carolina Orthopedic Rehab. They have been taking excellent care of getting my husband back to his new normal, since a tractor trailer truck accident changed his life. He has one on one therapy here and isn’t treated like a number. Jason pushes him and keeps him on his toes. Kristy always greets everyone with a smile and is super helpful making appointments and Ken makes sure I’m kept in the loop so there aren’t any surprises about his care. And the insurance company has already stated they will be referring more of their patients to Carolina Orthopedic Rehab because of the compassion and care they give.

Ken and the team of practitioners and staff are a very caring team, who treat the patient as a human being. I was a patient due to injury and age related wear-and-tear. I felt that they genuinely cared and listened to how I was feeling, altering the course of treatment to focus on and alleviate pain, while strengthening areas of concern. They also did not abuse my insurance, never maxing out the # of allowed visits; they are not like other hospital-based PT businesses which charge outrageous costs and max out your insurable visits. I also liked having one-on-one service, never having to share my time with 3 or 4 other patients (as is done at other PT providers). I can’t say enough about how pleased I was with the services provided to me. I will use Carolina Ortho Rehab in the future and highly recommend them. Thank-you to Ken and his team!

Very professional and courteous people with an excellent facility

Over the last 10 years, my husband and I have used Carolina Orthopedic Rehab PT for all our PT needs (hands, knees, hips, back specifically). Ken Ellsworth and his team (Kelly and Aaron) are very experienced. They generally see only one patient at a time. The space itself is welcoming and comfortable. Ken's office manager Kristie knows all of us by name and is extremely helpful with insurance issues. All physical therapy offices are not created equal and this is one of the best I've seen. I am a physician myself and would recommend COR without reservation.

Lets start with the treatment assessment. Right on target and a plan of care that was just what I needed. I am getting better every day. Now I am following the self care prescribed and together with the professional treatment received, I am excited to see my issues disappear. I must recognize the PT assistant who has magical hands and fingers. I have had massages before but never like this. The spasmed muscle were no match to her skilled treatment. A Miracle Worker! Over the past 8 years Carolina Orthopedic Rehap has resolved problems with my neck, my knee and hip, and my shoulder. In each case after a few visits, and instructions for excises I could do at home, the problems were completely resolved with no need for further treatment. Highly recommended.

They are very aware of how the body works & the muscles it takes to get it to work, & it amazed me how they can identify the problem, isolate it, and devise exercises that specifically target the issue... Their workspace is small & their attention is dedicated...You don't get the sense you're in a rehab factory... One thing, never never utter the phrase "This is easy."..

I admit to being a bit skeptical about how much good therapy would help with my broken wrist. I must admit Ken Ellsworth helped me achieve significant improved range of motion and flexibility in my wrist that I thought I would never have again. I would highly recommend him. Recently completed 3+ plus months of PT with Carolina Orthopedic Rehab recovering from a spinal fusion. I was in Hendersonville for a month. I took my physical therapy prescription from my MD (in Florida) into Carolina Orthopedic Rehab Physical Therapy. Ken, the owner, set up a program and appointments. Kelly treated me and my situation greatly improved. Carolina Orthopedic treated me very well. It was always a pleasure to go in for treatment. I would not hesitate in using them again. They are professional and a well run practice.

We have used Carolina Orthopedic since August. Everyone in the office is very kind and compassionate with patients and their families. Aaron has been fabulous working with my daughter. He has used examples and suggestions that she can relate to when describing how to preform exercises and stretches. If we need pt or rehabilitation services in the future, we will definitely be returning.

I have had back pain and sciatica for many years. I went in looking for relief and some at home exercise that I could easily do at home. I had never been offered massage for either problem and Kelly did wonders relieving my pain with massage. The simple exercises they gave me have made all the difference ( and I don’t do them everyday and when I do remember they make a huge difference). The space is clean, large and bright, music not overwhelming and often not on. The staff knowledgeable and respectful. The whole experience was just what I had needed. I’m very glad I can turn to Carolina Orthopedic when I am in pain.
