Beautiful garden, wish more flowers were in bloom. I visited in the heat of the summer. Still an iconic place to visit.

Wear a nice, comfortable pair of shoes. You will want to walk the Gardens as long as you can. There is a shuttle that can transport you to the Garden itself or you can take the walk. If you choose to take the shuttle, it will drop you off at the Garden where you will begin your journey. In the Rose Garden, the smell of Roses is a fragrant wounder. The smell is not overpowering, but it was a sensory wounder to enjoy such fragrance outdoors. Slow yourself down and take in the surroundings. Entering the Greenhouse is another sensory wounder once again. The plants and flowers are spectacular. Again, slow down and take in the surroundings. There is a wonderful gift shop with may one-of-a-kind items. I hope you enjoy the photos I have posted to share the experience from my vantage point. We will surely be making a return trip to enjoy the other seasons.

Gardens were still in bloom when we were there. Took an hour to walk around the gardens, but I probably didn't see them all.

The Gardens at Biltmore were amazing!! I had a lovely and romantic day with my wife enjoying all the natural colors of spring. Walking the gardens is at least 5 hours if you take your time to take it all in. In the glass house there was a person playing live guitar tunes. It was enchanting to sit and hear her play.

I truly loved the Bilmore Azalea Garden. Although it wasn't in bloom, the landscape was beautiful and I fell in love with its enchantment. I will definitely be back to see it in its glory! The indoor greenhouse was magical! To see so many plants that I love, larger than life! If you're looking to fall in love with foliage, take in the natural aura or to take amazing photos, this is the place to do it!

Absolutely beautiful flowers. Lots of them. I could have spent the whole day. So many vary unusual and interesting. All are well cared for. There is a warm room, a cool room, and lots outdoors too. I could have taken dozens more pictures.

It is a very beautiful place and I would say it needs at least a whole day to explore the house and the gardens. Spring is awesome when the blossoms are another level added to the beauty.

The main gardens outside were not blooming because it is November. The green house was beautiful and it is always so nice and peaceful to walk through the gardens. We got to see the staff planting bulbs for the spring that was really neat. We plan to return in the spring when everything is blooming.

As first-time visitors to the Biltmore House and Gardens, we enjoyed the house where we spent over 90 minutes inside, and the rest of the day wandering around the gardens. We also walked out-and-back on the trail to the lagoon. The gardens were spectacular with the thousands of different trees, shrubs, and plants. The small garden side-trails were intimate and cozy and quiet when compared to the main paths. The conservatory/glass houses were also worth the long time we spent here. The one downside is the around $100 cost for each of us - but with upkeep of the house and gardens we can see how this money is used. The many Chimney Swifts by the house also put on a really good display! Next time we are in the area, we will reserve a day for a second visit.

An anchoring element for a visit to the Biltmore Estate. My wife and I maintain annual passes to the Biltmore just to walk the trails, sit along the French Broad River and walk through these gardens originally designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. I recommend strolling through the upper shrub garden near the house and on through the walled garden and then all the way down the Azalea Garden to the Bass Pond. There is a clean bathroom at the edge of the Conservatory, and a cart to buy a water or drink. The walk down to the Bass Pond is mostly an out-and-back walk, but you can follow different side trails by simply sticking to one side or the other (left or right) to enjoy the small gravel footpaths off the paved main trail. It is pretty all year! Not just when the Azaleas are blooming. It has more diversity in vegetation - flowers, shrubs and trees. And it has some amazing large old trees that I imagine Olmsted placed over 100 years ago.

Unbelievable views of mountains, and the gsrdens. House tour was outstanding and takes about 1.5 hours and requires reservations for the tour. They give military discounts.

We thought we missed the blooms and we definitely missed some of it but it was still amazing. The azaleas were the star of the show. Will have to return for the tulips at a later time.

Even in the winter, the gardens are still beautiful. The green house has some Beautiful flowers. The outside gardens are a little bare in winter though but the landscaping is impeccable as always.

Enjoyed a leisurely stroll in the Azalea Garden today with my dog. Many azaleas were in full bloom, including many species of native azaleas from across the southeast. The settings are very natural & areas of the garden flow easily into each other. There is a paved path, but also some gravel side paths. Bridges & other landscape features blend tastefully with the environment. Biltmore general admission or annual pass are required. Parking is nearby, but expect hills & steps. Would be difficult to enjoy for someone with limited mobility, though you can see a surprising amount of the gardens from the car ride out.

So beautiful even though the flowers outside weren't blooming yet. We headed to the greenhouses and there were so many gorgeous plants and flowers- I don't think I've been anywhere with so much pretty foliage and flora! I can't wait to come during the Springtime.
