    I joined SMA for the first time back in 2018. My dad was a founding member of the gym and had encouraged me to sign up not long after. SMA was my first gym experience and to this day my best gym experience. Even after surgeries I would always come back and sign up again to keep training there. My coach Navar is more like a close friend and supporter to me. He motivates me to be a better person as well as to train harder and stronger. The gym community itself is very welcoming and I always feel comfortable around other members. The whole non mirror concept was a huge thing for me and honestly I’m glad it’s like that. Josh Hardy and the other coaches are all super friendly too and love to chat about yourself and your training. I love this gym and love how it has helped me shape myself physically and mentally into a better person. BEST GYM IN THE WORLD!!!

    If you’re searching for a coach who goes above and beyond, look no further than Billy Simpson at Strength and Motion Academy. Their passion for fitness and genuine care for clients is unmatched. They provided me with valuable guidance, helped me push past my limits, and transformed my physique. I highly recommend their coaching services.

    Strength and Motion Academy is an amazing place! I've has pretty mediocre experiences with gyms in the past. A friend recommended I give SMA's group fitness classes a try and I've been hooked ever since. It's an incredibly positive environment where I've felt welcomed and supported. Every coach I've interacted with has been really great. I'd particularly like to shout out Lauren and Dylan as they're the two group fitness coaches I've interacted with the most - they're both incredibly nice to be around, encouraging, and push me to challenge myself. My membership also included an intro PT session with the amazing Josh Hardy. My session with him really helped me clarify my goals and how to reach them via holistic and sustainable means. His knowledge is extensive and his enthusiasm is infectious! I highly recommend this gym to anyone and everyone. :)

    Brilliant gym with great encouraging coaches. Kirsty has been amazing helping me set up a program. My daughter has joined recently also and loves going to Dylan’s classes thinks he’s really funny, tonight’s class was hard for the body but easy on the soul. Great mentor for a 13 yr old. Thanks Dylan and Kirsty and the whole team. 😊🔥♥️

    I recently joined SMA for the group classes and to be honest I can't stop going! the friendliest staff the support you get is incredible! Dylan, and Lauren have been the best coach's, they will give you a good push and so understanding.

    Loving SMA community - coaches are always helpful when I (Anna) have questions and the environment is welcoming. No mirrors is refreshing. Coach Lauren listened to my goals at our first meeting and designed a tailored workout and has been so encouraging. Been going 3 x week for the last 10 weeks and getting the results I want - a stronger body, reducing body fat and improving bone density.

    Love my experience at SMA so far, everyone has been super welcoming and friendly. I've particularly enjoying my coaching from Kirsty who has been incredibly supportive and most importantly, has helped me get stronger and feel more confident at the gym. Thanks so much guys!

    Signed up to the 6 week challenge to loose a bit of weight and get back into a normal gym routine. Billy set me up with a quality 5 day workout plan with movements I’d never done before and it worked really well. Everyone at the gym is friendly and happy to help out and it has good equipment and vibe. Ended up loosing 8kg and gained muscle so would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

    Highly recommend signing up to SMA. A positive culture and welcoming environment for all shapes and sizes. Won't find another gym in Perth whose staff are so deeply invested in their members' success & you'll never want to go back to a commercial gym after coming here! (Josh is also a fantastic coach and will go above and beyond to see you reach your potential)

    The gym feels like home for me. Not many places have I been to where I sense the absence of judgement. Too many gyms make me feel uncomfortable and after a while I lose interest in going. Josh the owner has been really supportive (as have the other coaches) and I have also learnt a lot since becoming a member. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely recommend!     I joined SMA for the 6week body transformation as a kick start 10 weeks ago. From the start Lauren was supportive and encouraging and keeps me accountable. My dog loves that she can come too when I've been at work all day. I've tried all of the classes and they are tailored well with options for all levels. I love how all the trainers are quick give either a smile or encouragement. I'm glad I joined 😀

    SMA is not just a fantastic gym but a great inclusive community which makes such a difference in terms of motivation to remain fit and healthy. Everyone there is friendly and knowledgeable. I train with coach Lauren and her care for her clients and dedication to her work shines through. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to start their fitness journey.

    I have had the privilege of working with a group of extraordinary personal trainers at SMA. You can tell the staff at this gym place significant effort in creating a community environment where everyone is welcome. In regards to the Powherful program, I have found that Kirsty has a profound understanding of fitness needs, combined with a personalised and holistic approach. With her guidance, I not only have achieved physical progress but also gained valuable insights in a more holistic space. Her passion for empowering women on their health journeys is truly inspiring, making her an exceptional personal trainer that I wholeheartedly recommend.

    I am new to Strength Motion Academy and the last month since joining I have really enjoyed my time there. I signed up to the challenge and Christian my PT has been really supportive and keeps me on track. Christian’s guidance and support has been really great. Thanks SMA for getting me to enjoy the gym once again :)

    Been training at the gym for over 18months now. Really enjoy the atmosphere and environment in the gym. All the staff and coaches are really helpful and are invested in helping you set the targets to achieve your goals. Josh has been really helpful in helping me achieve goals and striving to go even further with the programs he sets and other aspects of becoming a better healthier version of myself.

    I have recently joined SMA and am so far impressed with the service. I have been working with Josh to get over a number of injuries and get my body stronger. I am already starting to feel better with the progress. I had initial reservations that this gym would be like other gyms and it's not. It's a lot more relaxed here and coaches are very knowledgeable and helpful. If you're looking for another approach to exercise, one where how you feel matters more than how you look, this is the place.

    Chris is an amazing coach, so supportive and genuine. He’s helped me to learn a mind-muscle connection, that’s helped me isolate particular muscles and aid in better form for all my strength training, especially in my Romanian deadlifts and Bulgarian split squats. He’s supported me to achieve a PB of 90kg for my hip thrusts. I look forward to continue training with him ☺️

    SMA is such a friendly and supportive environment. Chris has been great at keeping me accountable and helping grow my confidence and consistency on the gym floor. I now enjoy going into the gym where before I used to feel anxious going into other gyms.

    I joined for the six week challenge after seeing the ad on Facebook. This is a very good gym with excellent classes and support from the trainers. Navar is an awesome coach and overall a great person to discuss everything health and fitness related. The Mobile apps are really useful and guides you through the training program.

    SMA is the best gym I have ever been to and their holistic approach to fitness is what keeps me coming back. It's perfect if your looking for a supportive, inclusive gym where everyone is super friendly. It also has 24/7 access and an active online community where teams are made for things like true grit! I used to be quiet nervous going to gyms but SMA's supportive culture has made going to the gym something I crave! There is also a good selection of equipment/weights which has also meant that I have made great progress towards my personal lifting goals while going to SMA. If your looking to improve your overall health both physically and mentally then you have to try out SMA!

    Recently joined SMA after coming from another gym and have been blown away by the difference. The coaches from the very beginning have been amazing in their encouragement and have impressed with their knowledge and care for each individual that comes in. My trainer Dylan has taken the time to see how I am travelling in this new environment and is helpful sharing his knowledge as well as taking the extra time to make sure I understand how to use the equipment, what it does and why I need it. I have gone from a boring tiring workout to something I look forward to doing, that's finally working. Great atmosphere and would 100% recommend! Thank you Dylan and the SMA team.

    Kirsty is a great personal trainer who listens carefully to what I want to achieve, and then tailors the program to me. She’s really encouraging, and gives me just the right amount of feedback so I stay on track without feeling overwhelmed. It’s my first time working with a personal trainer and I wish I’d started sooner. The environment at SMA Midland is perfect for me - everyone is normal! There’s no posturing or posing, everyone is just getting on with their own goals. All the staff are helpful and very friendly. There’s a good reason why the sign at the door says, ‘Welcome to the world’s best gym’ - it just could be!

    Love everything about this place right from the moment you walk in the door, the coaches know you by name and are always the first to say hi. Great atmosphere and vibe. Def recommend Coach Billy, super friendly & supportive and always makes an effort to check in with me on how I’m doing. So glad I found SMA & love being part of the community.

    I'm very happy with my membership at Strength and Motion Academy. Josh and his team are very approachable, friendly and accommodative. They didn't require a long term agreement to be signed in order to join and they also agreed I could cease membership at short notice which made them a low pressure option when compared to other gyms. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to test the water and not feel pressured.

    I joined Strength and Motion 9 weeks ago and I have never felt better. Billy has been my coach and mentor from day 1, he has kept in touch regular on how things are going. I really enjoy his classes too, he explains everything in detail. Thank you Billy you have made the past 9 weeks very enjoyable and give me a love for exercise, I hope to continue my fitness journey beyond the 12 week challenge. Linda
