We came here last night for our friends’ 18th birthday and we’re very disappointed we had a horrible time, to start with one of the waitresses was being quite mean to what seemed like a new waitress that shouldn’t really have served our table. Mistakes were made with our starters which got sorted but it was unorganised as a waitress myself I thought they were quite rude. The food as well was awful, the burgers were rock solid, some meals were very spicy that did not state they were spicy, pasta was undercooked and 2 of our guests this morning are very ill from what we think is food poisoning as they did not drink alcohol. For a £422 bill, we are not happy and it ruined their birthday. most of us are waiters and waitresses ourselves and we are not happy with the way the night ended.

Wow, what a fantastic meal. Staff were SO lovely, attentive, friendly, just great and the food was delicious, can't fault it at all and the service was so quick! Location is wonderful and the price for the whole meal had me questioning if we had the right bill it was so reasonable. Would recommend, 10/10. Thanks again to the staff for making my fiancé's birthday so special xxx

Rather impartial. Food was lovely. Service not so good. Ripped off regarding water for the table, and then to add a optional 10% service charge on the bill, which then makes you feel dreadful if you don't participate. Our bill was quite high for 4 due to charging for bottled water on top of drinks started mains. I'd think twice before going again

Popped in with family before going to theatre while walking past. Can only say really glad we sit. Staff were really friendly and the food was outstanding. Had the Philly Steak pizza as not tried before. When it came couldn't believe the size as just seemed so big however the taste was just amazing, the base so light and flavours just perfect that soon found I'd eaten the whole thing. If you get a chance I'd definitely recommend for a truly authentic pizza.

Good service and good food. A nice selection of pizzas and pasta dishes along with some other specials. Atmosphere is nice as well and it's conveniently situated on the high street. If I am being critical I would have liked my pasta is a slightly bigger dish as it was a bit challenging in the dishes provided. We enjoyed our meal and desserts were excellent. I would go again.

On a day trip to Canterbury, we stopped in at the Wildwood Grill for lunch. It was a lovely experience! We were seated in a cozy upstairs space and Maria, our server, was kind and attentive. The food was amazing! Would highly recommend for a delightful meal while visiting Canterbury!

Lovely restaurant in the centre of Canterbury that serves a great deal of choice for vegetarians. Service is brilliant and the food is amazing.

Sunny outdoor dining, with a chilled social area by the River Stour. Would definitely recommend their Mojitos on a warm day, I had the chicken and asparagus risotto whilst my friends had the linguine which we really enjoyed!

Great food and drinks! We enjoyed pizza and martinis! The staff however, was rude and inconsiderate, which is unfortunate! Highly recommend for the food.

Cozy Italian restaurant in a very central location. We felt very welcomed by the staff. The food was very delicious, with good quality ingredients. There is a good selection of pasta and pizza dishes to choose from. Loved my pasta, very well balanced flavours. They seemed to be a busy restaurant, so it is recommended to book a table. There are tables available in the back yard. Recommended.

We were lucky to get a table without a reservation on what appeared to be a very busy wet evening on the 30th December. The service was excellent considering the amount of customers and we can highly recommend the tasty pasta meals.

The food was lovely, the calzone especially. The staff were friendly, and we're able to quickly find us a table in the early afternoon, although I would recommend you book, as it saves the hassle. The strawberry lemonade was interesting, it wasn't my perticular cup of tea, but I'd give it a try anyway. Although time-constrained, it was a lovely birthday treat.

My experience at Wildwood was very much a mixed bag. We were left waiting at the door for five minutes, loitering awkwardly until somebody noticed us. We were originally seated under very bright spotlights, but I asked to be moved due to my autism. We were then sat at a table they promptly moved us from again, as it was booked, until we eventually got third time lucky. Despite this, the servers continued to be friendly and apologetic, and I did not mind atall. Unfortunately, a party of 16 was booked into the room we were in, and we couldn't hear much of what the other was saying. This is however, to an extent, my fault for asking to be moved. The food however was lovely! We had Calimari and Focaccia for starters, and a Cheeseburger and Philly Cheesesteak for mains. Gorgeous! We absolutely intend to return, just perhaps at a quieter time of day and year.

I enjoyed a lovely meal here with three other family members. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we were given our seats. The staff were very charismatic, friendly and approachable- also having great knowledge of their menu options, including their drink selections. We were told about the 10% service charge being optional but when I asked if this was used for tips and it was affirmed that it was, we happily paid it. It was really nice being made aware of this being optional, however. The food was delicious (genuinely the BEST sweet potato fries we've ever had, lovely and crispy) and the staff were the perfect level of attentive, even with us sitting outside, they gave us time between meals and asked if we'd like water or other drinks between courses. My disabled husband is a slow eater and has small vessel disease and when asked if he'd finished, misheard and thought the staff had asked if everything was okay and was a bit flummoxed that his food was taken but this was our misunderstanding and we took the loss on the chin. We really enjoyed our time here and will be sure to visit again. You're all doing a wonderful job.

Struggled to find a nice place to eat in Canterbury but went into wild wood and wow. The burgers and risotto were amazing and the desserts were next level! Morgan looked after us all night and was so lovely! If we didn’t live in Australia we would be back every night.

I did enjoy the food there the only reason for the lower rating was due to lack of cool air during hot period, also medium steak was over cooked. Food was very nice and well presented. Restaurant is situated in the older part of the city, these buildings were built before the disabilities act. Access to some of them can be a challenge but I am sure staff would offer assistance where needed. There are vegetarian/vegan options on the menu. There is a carpark within easy walking distance.

This is the first time I've been to Wildwood. I found it to be a lovely restaurant. The staff were knowledgeable & helpful. It was very busy when we arrived, luckily we had booked a table, but others who were waiting hadn't! My only complaint was that after ordering our drinks it took 25 minutes to get them. The food however was prompt & delicious. When it came to paying the bill, it was very reasonable. I would definitely visit again.

The food was good but the extra star is for the service; they were friendly, funny and attentive. It was clear they had some newer staff members but they appeared to be supporting them while ensuring we still had excellent service. And the sticky toffee pudding? I just about managed to force it down, 🤤🤤🤤 Great night, thank you

Turned up, lovely warm and inviting not overly busy for a Tuesday post Valentines. Staff member was lovely but feel she was rushing around, was very taken by our youngest and really lovely to him. Wait for a while but expected when a few large parties were in. Orders arrived but our order was incorrect ordered from the grill but they gave my husband the pasta which was nice but disappointing, didn’t seem to know the difference between ice cream and sorbet which is just due to training, food was nice but very high priced for what is basically pizza and pasta. We got the bill but instead of giving us a tip choice on the card machine the waitress asked us at the table if we would like to put the £8+ tip on for our meal. So I didn’t feel we could say no, which is very uncomfortable. Also had charged us for the grill meal when we received a pasta version but happily changed it for us. But 4 people eating and £90 bill is very high, I don’t feel we will be returning unfortunately. Recommend always check the bill and hopefully the poor staff will not be rushed off their feet when you go. We were told it’s gluten free but not sure if it was as the order was incorrect when it was put through so hope it was.

Went there for our work Christmas Dinner. Staff were super friendly, helpful and professional. Nothing was too big an ask. The food was amazing too. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that their wine bundle only offers one choice of red or white wine. Giving a choice between two reds and two whites would have been fantastic. Other than that, we had a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend a visit here.

Food was good but didn't get the right order. Didn't mind as was my second choice but no apology. Didn't seem to know different between sorbet and ice cream as got that wrong too. Pointed out that there was a service charge and asked if we want it on there. Also charged for the order that ordered not what I got. (guessing kitchen got it wrong not waitress) We didn't mind paying it but would been bit uncomfortable if we said no. Waitress was polite and professional.

We had an incredible dinner at Wildwood. The steak was cooked as requested and the risotto was very tasty and creamy. The only thing that could be better was the drinks; we ordered virgin drinks as we do not drink alcohol and one of those had a bit of too much syrup in it. Aside from that, everything was perfect and we will definitely be visiting again soon.

It was a very nice experience. the ambience of the restaurant was very intimate and relaxed, the service was up to standards and the food very tasy and could tell it was handmade. Would recommend it
