One of the most beautiful places that I have seen

Independence Park is a very nice place for jogging, breathing in some fresh air after a tiring work day, and for meet-ups. There are lots of comfortable benches available throughout the park. Independence Park is occupied with hundreds of trees, creating an enjoyably fresh atmosphere. There are two well-known Turkmen landmarks in Independence Park: Independence Monument and Altyn Asyr Shopping Center.

Large and beautiful park, but not crowded

Had gone to the central park restaurant it has nice food and ambience. Whole of Ashgabat can be seen from there it really looks beautiful 😍

Not a lot to do but still interesting. Something to do for about 30+ minutes. Easy to find and reach if you already are in Ashgabat.

Beautiful park with lots of trees and we even discovered (was not far from one of the monuments) trees cultivated by Kazakh and Uzbek presidents. Two breathtaking buildings of one shopping complex with top Terrace where you can get the city view and Independence monument nicely set up here with trees surrounding around and fountains. Highly recommended park to visit for a walk and jog or picnic (during summers).

Nice for stralling around the monuments

I am rating the Central Park restaurant located on an upper floor. Very surprised there were no local beers offered, but if you want to order a Miller, one of the worst American beers there is, for 70 manat, go ahead. I ordered a wine instead, and it was a very light pour.

Ultra clean and huge park with many sculptures and monuments, all comes with tons of history according to our tour guide, but unfortunately I don’t remember much of it. 🤗 It appears there are more workers cleaning and maintaining the park than there’s visitors. 😄
