Architecture and decor scream Soviet vibes, but actually the room isn't bad at all. Mine was spacious and clean, with well-stocked amenities - nothing to fault, really. Granted, wifi is virtually non-existent, but that's not to do with the hotel. If anything, they try to cater to foreigners by designating a a 'special Wifi zone' in the Lobby where supposedly all blocked apps (e.g. Instagram, WhatsApp) are accessible, but don't bet on it because it's patchy at best or else so laggy that it's basically de facto unavailable. I had a burger at the lobby bar and it was passable (manage expectations and don't expect the same standards as you'd find at a McD's or any Western restaurant), but actually their breakfast was surprisingly good.

Everything was perfect here except the general problem of internet access countrywide. If you want to use Whatsapp and some other sites you could only do that from the lobby. The service personnel were wonderful and the options at breakfast were incredible.

Views from hotel from front and back are beautiful. Buildings are in white colour and so did the cars in Ashgabat. Even thought set to col temperature on shower, hot water still coming out. Room was hot and try to turn temperature was not fruitful. They should be some food lable on the breakfast room. You can exchage local currency on floor 0 on the coffee bar.
