1/2/23, I came with my brothers, his wife and cousin. Tried the Apple cider mimosa, goddess smoothie, affogato with vanilla ice cream (pictures below). I ordered the Turkey Cran Pear & Brie Sandwich and I thought it was so delicious, the slices of pear were fairly thin so it wasn’t weird in the sandwich. All the flavors were so good that I would want to recreate this at home because it was so yummy. My brother ordered the Cuban sandwich and he said this is the best he has had thus far! I was impressed. He said the only thing he wished was that the ham was a bit crisper - I told him next time he can request that it be well done. My sister-in-law ordered the Hot Tuna Melt Sandwich and I don’t like tuna but I like it now! I had a piece of her sandwich and I loved how they sprinkled some old bay, never would have thought of that but so delicious! Everyone had a great experience! The food again was phenomenal. I came back to La Gelatteria today on 12/26/22 with my brother and we ordered a bunch of new items. I got the fresh basil egg scramble, strawberry Nutella croissant, a butter cookie latte and salted caramel latte to go. My food was so fresh and delicious, the basil on the eggs hit! My brothers bagel with egg, cheese and bacon was fresh too! Bagel was fluffy and he said he loved the scramble eggs on his sandwich. He also ordered the captain crunch French toast, he really enjoyed the fresh fruit that was added to his meal. We left with full tummies. Another great experience here! Will be back with more friends and family. This place is a hidden gem. On 12/14/22, I ordered the egg sandwich, captain crunch French toast and honey bourbon chai latte. The location was clean, easy to find, lots of parking. Employees were super kind and the food was the best! I want to go back and try more items. Forgot to take pictures because the food was so delicious and beautifully executed.

This is a great coffee and gelato spot with great food to boot. Great and friendly staff and the owner goes above and beyond. He is truly caring and always greats you with a smile no matter how busy it might be. Love it here.

Great Cuban sandwich. Nice spot with plenty of outlets to charge if you need to study or work here. Good Latin playlist too. Coffee and gelato available. At the entrance there’s a faux plant wall and two hanging egg chairs that are great for taking photos in.

Cute concept and decent menu. The inside is okay, not particularly cozy but more comfortable than most spots. Food came quick and was tasty.

Update: At first I gave this place a high rating. You can read my reason why below. However, since then, I have stopped by several times and dealt with inattentive employees, coffees that aren’t good, at all, and breakfast food that is cold and flavorless. I don’t get it. What happened? I have been holding off coming back to my review and changing it, thinking it was just an off day. But after the 5th time, I think the writing is in the walls. I actually have decided to stop coming here because I’ve been so disappointed. I really thought this would become a great coffee stop shop, but unfortunately that has changed. Outdated review: Got the Cuban dulce de leche, (I asked if they could make it less sweet than they normally make it) and the bacon egg and avocado sandwich! So good! Loved how the sandwich wasn’t crazy salty, yet still flavorful. The woman who made my coffee made it perfectly! Definitely will come back!

Run, don’t walk, to this wonderful shop! Excellent selection of coffee (pour over to fancy flavored lattes), sandwiches, and other main dishes. I had the Cuban sandwich which is my litmus test for a restaurant. If they can make that really well then I’ll come back. Folks they knocked it out of the park—best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had! Didn’t save enough room for the gelato so you know we’ll be back. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating but they do get busy. Bathrooms had changing tables and it was a kid friendly place both with regards to atmosphere and food offerings.

Had a positively terrific cappuccino here - better than any other coffee shop I've tried in the Beltway area. Atmosphere is a bit clinical and drab, but easy to forgive.

Cute place with a fantastic lavandar latte and a delicious flaky butter crossiant. Staff is friendly. The line can get long all of a sudden, lots of customers coming in and out. Not an ideal spot to work if you're gonna make calls because it gets loud.

The service here is impeccable that’s for starters. Second is the menu, not only is it a vast assortment of interesting drinks - from regular beverages, to coffees, lattes and season cocktails - there’s really a vast assortment of all my favorite things. Sandwiches, all day breakfast and dessert! I honestly couldn’t stop trying things and didn’t even get around to the gelato because I was too busy ordering lattes and sandwiches. I also ordered from them on Uber eats and the food was just as good. Definitely going back

Wonderful food, excellent service, and kid friendly with high chairs available if your young ones need it. They also have a small section for outdoor seating! Limited parking but totally worth it. We have rode our bikes here before since it is so close to Beach Drive! Excellent coffee and gelato, too! Definitely will be back again!

Ordered a breakfast delivery from this place. Everything was really well packed and the quality of the food was great. I ordered the famous avocado toast along with a vanilla cold brew coffee. The toast was really filling and all the flavors except the black salt were great. Would definitely order a takeout again.

I discovered and fell in love with La Gelatteria over the last year. It is the perfect local coffee and gathering spot. The owner and staff are amazing...so friendly and on top of it. Love the iced almond milk latte, one of the best I have ever had as well as gluten free breakfast burrito. My kids love the gelato, swings and the milkshakes as a special treat. Ordering online is always efficient and I've enjoyed sitting both inside and outside.

Service was very professional- nice group of folks. Laid back, cool atmosphere with Wi-Fi. The veggie burgers were top rate. Delicious Lattes and Gelato. Park in front to avoid going down the stairs if you park in the back.

The nicest cafe I’ve been to yet! The food was incredible, the shop itself was clean and quiet, and the staff was very kind. I tried their avocado toast, affogato, and honey bourbon chai. All 10/10. Highly recommend!

Got a double scoop of Dark Chocolate Almond Milk and Espresso gelatos today - the flavors were rich and delightful, and the scoops were very generous to boot! My double scoop was more like 4 scoops total. There's plenty of space to sit inside as well as a patio with a few tables outside. Friendly staff as well. Will definitely be coming back!

Such a nice ambience and very polite staff. Music is pleasant, cool but not loud or distracting. I ordered vegetarian lentil soup with half a grilled cheese and the pistachio latte with almond milk. Soup had a unique lemon-sour taste and the latte was delicious and not overly sweet. Such a great place to eat and either work or relax with friends.

Great atmosphere and setup. We only got gelato bu they have an extensive menu for breakfast, coffee and also free wifi. I can see myself working from here for a couple of hours

Delights my taste buds every single time! Today I had the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had, along with an apple cider mimosa. YUM! Nice and strong! Dessert was caramel apple gelato. Highly recommended!! Went with a huge group and everything went smoothly.

So yummy. And my favorite gelato place in the area. The cashier/barista (Hispanic man… sorry I didn’t catch his name) was so friendly and quick to help. Always a great experience here.

Delicious breakfast plates and yummy, unique coffee flavors. Plentiful outdoor and indoor seating with a ton of photo ops, too. When you order they’ll give you a table tent and bring your order out to you, even on their patio.

We love to come here after our runs and is a favorite meet up spot with other friends and businesses associates. The food and coffee are awesome, place is clean and staff are friendly. Great place to eat and hangout.

I stumbled upon this gem seven months ago while my car was being serviced, and I've been hooked ever since. The atmosphere is just right, the cuisine is both unique and delightful, and the lattes are truly exquisite. The owners exude authenticity, humility, and kindness. This establishment has truly captured my culinary heart and soul.

My husband and I booked La Gelaterria for his first book release and our experience working with Elias and his staff was AMAZING! The food and drinks were delicious and our guest had a great time and they loved the place.

Our family loves this place. It has a super European vibe, food tastes amazing and atmosphere is relaxing and calming. Sunday brunch and the entire menu is amazing!! We highly recommend this place.

This is the best lunch place in Kensington. Everything on the menu is excellent. Our favorites our avocado toast and breakfast burrito. Has great Coffee and laid back atmosphere. Highly recommend!!

A great spot for breakfast! Love the atmosphere with the exception of the audio system, which had all sorts of exposed wires and was undersized for the space.

I visited today with my friend to do some work and we really enjoyed it! We were assisted by Kevin, who helped me decide on one of their various drink options. He also asked us if it was our first time there and followed with more information about the place including the wifi password which was very helpful. Only thing is that it got really loud at times and it was hard to hear my friend, but it wasn’t disruptive. We had the ham and cheese croissant, Belgian waffle, and cinnamon toast crunch latte. Our plates were clean by the end. Loveddd it here, will be back!
