This HT is one of the worst locations I have been before. There is no signal on the store, also, at the garage there is no phone signal at all, you won’t be able to receive a call or even a message during your visit at this store. Some employees are very rude, including the lady on this photo that have a very rude attitude, if you don’t like your job just quit!

While they usual get five stars from me, only three this trip. When visiting to stock up, advertised beef products, for the weekend family dinners, they had the beef in the back coolers, but no qualified employees to cut the steaks and roasts. Several of us had to wait, some as long as 2 hours to get what we needed. Hello manager????? Where are you???? Both store and department level????

Drastically overpriced. Not a great selection. Cashier's are good. Store is clean and overall well stocked. Parking is available in a parking garage below. This is a Kroger store, technically. The weekend Customer Service Manager is poorly qualified for the position, prioritizing an inquiry phone call to page's from a cashier and inquiry from the Asst. Customer Service Mgr. after page's failed. The customer's who take the time to actually come to the store and purchase products should always be prioritized over inquiries. Customer acquisition is costly, as are poor reviews. Harris Teeter is a poor choice.

Overall: 4.50. Exceptionally clean & well-stocked store with pharmacy, deli, fresh seafood, bakery (including fresh pizza & breads), floral department, large dining area, etc. Friendly & helpful staff. Two floors with elevators & stair cases. Starbucks on 2nd floor with tables to chill & enjoy a cup of ☕️. Entrances on Wisconsin Avenue by The Flats Apartments & Battery Lane with covered parking garage (free). Check out pics below.

Employee's can’t follow directions when handling money and if you leave a bad review on your survey they call you to take it down. Maybe instead of harassing customers they should spend that time training their employees on what they can and cannot actually do and services they can and cannot provide.

It's the only grocery store in downtown Bethesda and expensive. They have sushi specials on Fridays and regularly have hot food ready to buy and eat at the food bar. Usually only 2-3 cashiers open but cashiers are always nice and dependable. Sometimes self-checkout does not have someone overseeing so may have to find someone to help when assistance required. Some products are not regularly stocked (supplier issues?) but otherwise I always find what I need. Clean store, too. There is a Starbucks when you enter through Battery Ln. You have to go downstairs to access the store but an elevator is available as well.

On February 8 We hosted a baby shower for my best friend in Reston, Virginia and I was responsible to bring the cake and cupcakes. I was frustrated from the poor customer services that I was getting from two other stores with one of them happened to be Harris Teeter located close to the venue. The service we have received here though was beyond words! Everyone is so respectful, polite and helpful. The service here from the time I was there to put the order till l left with my order a week after was exceptional. The bakers, I can not thank them enough for everything! The cake was so beautiful and delicious we got a lot of compliments. It was the center of the event beside the mom to be:) The cupcakes was also gorgeous and tasty as well.Thank you for respecting my feeling and reassuring me as I was a nervous closer to the party day. Especially the baker with beautiful personality who made this cake!

This was my first time at a Harris Teeter, and I'll definitely be coming back. The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful, the produce was very pretty, and no long lines at checkout.

I made an online appointment to get newest COVID vaccine, entering all of my pertinent information including insurance details. They confirmed the appointment by text and email. One week later when I showed up on time for my appointment, the person working there informed me they don’t accept Cigna insurance for vaccines. When I asked why they didn’t bother telling me that beforehand, his lame excuse was “I tried to call you.” That is possibly true since I don’t always pick up calls from unknown numbers. But he was too lazy or indifferent to send a text or email that I would have seen. Youngish white guy, working Sunday afternoon October 8. I won’t go back there because the rest of their pharmacy staff are probably just as useless and inconsiderate.

Great place to do you grocery shopping. High quality products, a lot of organic, interesting stuff you cannot find in other stores. However, not overpriced like Whole Foods. In comparison to quality and price, close to Trader Joe’s. Beautiful inexpensive flowers!

Store is nice and staff is friendly. Price it too high even if you compare to Giant or Safeway. Prices getting higher each week. Donuts and pastries up 50% in 2 weeks. That’s not fair. Not coming back

It's quite a commentary that this is the best grocery store in the 20814/20817 area. The food's fine, shelves are generally stocked. It is, as others have said, getting more and more expensive (more than other stores), there's less attention to detail than in the past (no produce bags today) and no one monitors the parking, so it's tough to find a space in peak hours because of walk-offs and frequently, loose carts. But my review is mostly because I had the worst experience ever with a cashier in this store.. I was the only customer who approached the check out and the woman standing there, honest to God, rolled her eyes and sighed heavily. I'm sorry to interrupt your busy morning of standing around! I pleasantly said "Good morning, how are you," trying to turn things around. No response. May I have bags please? No response--no acknowledgement whatsoever that I'd spoken. She pretty angrily threw my groceries across the scanner and into bags, wordlessly and without eye contact held up my receipt like it was a slug, and shoved my cart at me at the end. "Have a nice afternoon!" I said. Eye roll and skulking off to her post of doing nothing again. It would have been easier if she'd actually told me to go eff myself. HT, train your people. If you're going to overcharge us and make it a little hard to shop here with a lack of attention to detail, at least have your rare cashiers smile and say hello. We all worked all week to afford this--sorry this lady had to go to work today, but join the club.

Basic chain grocery store in the northeast US area. There’s hundreds of these all over the DMV. This location does not have Apple Pay—Very inconvenient. Otherwise fine good selection of healthy food items.

Always well stocked, the employees are cheerful & helpful; if you shop wisely, this is price-competitive option, and you can't beat the convenient location.

Parking is not incredibly easy, but there’s an underground garage to use. They had a nice selection of flowers and we were able to get some for around ten dollars. The cashiers were efficient and able to get us in and out of the store in a timely manner, which was helpful since it was just a quick stop. Definitely would return again.

Best grocery store in Bethesda. Clean, good produce and meat. Always clean, a little more expensive than Giant or Safeway. Never enough checkers. Always have to wait for someone to man the customer service counter.

This is just an observation, it doesn’t make it fact. However; I was unsettled with my observational experience today. On 8-8-23 at 8:15AM or so there was a thick white women with lighter colored hair at the self checkout area. It was very interesting to see multiple times that she greated non-black customers with Good Morning and multiple black customers she didn’t even say a hello to them (including me). Maybe this was just a by chance situation…but an interesting coincidence if so…

Solid store, would have been five stars if not for the super duper confusing underground parking garage.. Everything in the store was labeled well, I wish the parking garage was the same! Fix that and I'll come back and give you all another star... Sorry for any typos or poor grammar, I'm doing this with voice dictation

The store was great. No comment on that. But the bag tax is a real problem. They truly do not understand the taxing issue. The cashier told me that a plastic bag cost $.05, but a paper bag is free. A lot of stores fail on this issue, but today it was this Harris Teeter. The Water Quality Protection Charge is failing at this tax. This blue county in a blue state should make the people for what they voted for. $.05 for EVERY bag, regardless of paper or plastic. Regardless of double bagging. Make the voters pay for this! I spend a lot of time outdoors. I do not see a problem with any kind of bag being in the environment. Yes, you may see A bag from time to time, but is it really a problem?

Easy access to the building, safe garage parking. The store was very clean and organized. Staff at the bakery were kind and helpful.

I go to Harris Teeter for lunch sometimes. They have a small hot bar, sushi, pre-made sandwiches, sandwiches to order, slices of pizza, and pre-made salads to choose from. It is handicap accessible in a great location and the staff is good too. I almost forgot they also have a Starbucks.

I bought the dungeons crab legs. They were on sale for $7.99 per lb. , I bought 2 lbs. . I steamed them and dipped them in Land o Lakes garlic herb butter. They taste so good. I’m thinking about going back there today and buying some more.

I have been shopping at this store since it opened, but my patronage ended today! I brought my service animal into the store and a older black man followed me around the store calling foul names because he didn't like the fact that I had my service dog in the store. I reported him to the manager and the manager was afraid to confront him. He didn't ask the man to leave the store he practically just looked at him. I said to the manager that he reporting the matter to you was a complete waste of time. I will not support a business that doesn't care about the customer safety.

Routine trip. They continue to offer a good selection of quality products and hospitable customer service (mostly). I live equidistant to Harris Teeter, Giant, and Safeway. Harris Teeter is about 10% more expensive*, but the aforemetioned factors make it worthwhile, even with a very tight budget. Tip: Just don't use their food delivery service, with all the fees, you'll pay an extra 30%. *I tested this firsthand in 2019 with the purchase of 8 comparable items from each location

I don't typically use this Harris teeter because I live about 30 minutes from this location. However, there's great parking, the outside of the building looks great, inside was very clean and there was a lot of room to move around. I did not speak to any of the staff members. However, Overall it was a pleasurable experience.

I love this location. It usually has the vegan chicken salad that I really enjoy! The staff as usual are nice and helpful.

Store is nice, the big issue with Harris Teeter is price. Way too pricey. Price doubled in a year. It’s almost impossible to buy here with the same budget as one year ago. Inflation is one thing, getting advantage of it is another

I love this place. They have almost everything you would need even though its a small place. Occasionally, you might find tomatoes which are degraded and has a fungus growth on them but the team is always happy to help and find better from their stock or return your money if they happen to get bad in your home within days.

A great place to get fresh produce and nutritious food.   The self-checkout section is simple to use, and the personnel is always friendly.

It's all pretty great, honestly I like it alot and the free underground parking was super clutch. The only reason it's not 5* is just because of the pricing. It's certainly on the higher end that's for sure, but it could certainly be worse. Considering it's like the only grocery store in downtown Bethesda I think they do a reasonable enough job of not super inflating prices. By the way, super clean and friendly staff too. Like I'd give 4.5* if I could!
