I
have
just
finished
my
200
hours
Ashtanga
YTT
at
Abhinam
Yoga
School
in
Goa.
Let’s
start
with
the
good
parts:
- The
school
has
an
amazing
location:
not
far
from
an
international
airport,
close
to
the
beach,
the
accommodation
&
school
&
food
is
all
in
one
building.
- All
3
teachers
(Abhi,
Deepika,
Ankita)
are
there
to
help
anytime
you
have
questions
or
doubts.
- Due
to
her
disciplined
personality,
Abhi
is
an
excellent
and
authentic
yoga
teacher!
- Deepika
and
Ankita
really
understand
yoga
and
are
passionately
devoted
to
it.
- Deepika
is
an
excellent
yoga
philosophy
teacher
who
is
also
ready
to
discuss
topics
after
the
class
with
great
patience.
- The
school
managed
to
integrate
asana
practice,
meditation,
anatomy,
philosophy
in
the
YTT.
- We
tried
out
everyday
a
different
type
of
meditation
technique.
These
evenings
were
my
personal
highlights
of
the
course.
- The
school
has
two
amazingly
fantastic
cooks!
They
were
there
only
to
cook
for
us
and
provided
genius
and
authentic
vegan
Indian
food!
And
now
the
challenges:
- Deepika
and
Ankita
are
all
the
time
on
their
cell
phones!
This
does
not
fit
to
the
yoga
philosophy
about
awareness
(that
they
teach
constantly)
at
all.
- None
of
the
teachers
seem
to
have
any
idea
about
sport
science:
o there
were
many
injuries
in
my
group
and
some
received
(from
a
medical
view)
wrong
advices
o they
have
strange
ideas
about
what
warm
up
means
(do
headstand
as
warmup
at
05:45
in
the
morning)
- The
school
is
not
well
organized:
o They
write
every
week
a
schedule
and
then
they
do
not
stick
to
it.
o Except
me
all
other
students
received
a
welcome
message,
weeks
prior
to
the
class,
so
I
was
surprised
when
I
was
there
that
I
should
have
brought
a
laptop
with
me
for
writing
my
assignment
on
it
(Do
not
book
over
Yoga
Dhyan,
but
directly
at
Abhinam
Yoga
School!)
o They
really
should
have
told
us
in
advance
that
we
need
to
bring
some
pass
photos
with
us,
it
would
have
spared
money
and
stress
when
we
were
there.
- The
“guru”,
Namito
spent
only
2
x
45
minutes
with
teaching
us
philosophy.
The
little
time
he
spent
with
us
was
pretty
convincing
that
he
is
just
a
money
lover
opportunist.
Smart
person
but
not
really
authentic.
- Ankita
is
a
terrible
anatomy
teacher.
Her
way
of
explaining
things
show
that
she
has
no
idea
about
teaching,
she
just
talks
as
she
would
read
out
loud
of
an
anatomy
book.
It
seemed
to
me
that
in
our
group
only
those
were
following
it
who
already
studied
anatomy
before,
due
to
their
profession
for
example.
I
personally
do
not
feel
myself
ready
to
teach
yoga
with
the
anatomy
knowledge
that
was
provided
to
me.
- We
had
the
SAME
breakfast.
Every
single
day.
Some
started
eating
outside
on
their
own
costs…
- My
husband
joined
me
on
this
trip
but
did
not
take
part
at
the
YTT.
We
were
the
only
ones
who
had
their
room
500m
away
from
the
school,
at
the
other
location,
Villa
Mango.
That
means,
we
had
to
walk
daily
2
km
more
than
the
other
students
which
I
consider
a
lot
of
time
and
effort
considering
that
our
bodies
desperately
needed
rest
and
sleep
between
the
course
programs.
Except
me
all
other
students
had
A/C
in
their
room
(okay,
for
one
person
it
was
not
working).
We
did
not
even
have
proper
furniture
in
our
room:
No
mirror,
no
table,
almost
nothing
to
store
our
stuff
in.
It
is
crazy
that
they
even
charged
extra
500
INR
per
night
for
my
husband’s
accommodation!
This
experience
was
a
life
chaning
event
for
me.
I
really
learnt
a
lot
about
myself.
I
would
recommend
everyone
doing
a
YTT
in
India
who
wants
to
be
a
yoga
teacher.
But
maybe
at
another
school.
