I booked the hotel because I wanted the style of an old palazzo. Other reviews were critical and I even thought about the FourSeasons or Armani. But: This hotel is a real amazing place if you look for history and 5* feeling. The staff is as great or even friendlier than in all other 5 Star hotels. But the building, its entry, and its rooms are well renovated but still in an old style. Imagine you get into the lift and it is still in wood? Imagine your room key is still a key? Imagine the concierge is still a concierge and not a computer? And somebody opens the door when you enter the hotel with a smile? And the rooms are amazing? This is all what you get in this hotel.

We stayed at the Windsor suite. What a gorgeous suite. The hotel is adorable. The bar and the restaurant were beautiful and the food and drinks were delicious. The location is excellent. Within walking distance of the Duomo and as soon as you step out of the hotel, all the shops are there. The staff was very nice. We definitely recommend this hotel.

1 night stay March 2023. Beautiful property. While several Milan hotels are sleeker, none feel as old school luxurious as this one. Restaurant was fantastic and location can not be beat. We stayed in the one bedroom suite and the combination of insanely high ceilings and large windows made the room feel amazingly roomy.

Our favorite hotel in Milan so far! Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, they are always trying their best to accommodate us with all our needs and they go above and beyond. The concierge is always trying to give us relevant information and also follows up with our trips which is so thoughtful. Housekeeping are the best!!! They clean our rooms twice and do turndown service without us asking and always making sure we have enough water and amenities in general. Room service options are very limited however they are also trying to accommodate our request and preferences, delivery is also fast. We asked for 2 rooms for 5 people. And both rooms did not disappoint, the 3 people room was very spacious and every bag had a stand of its own. Location is excellent, and very safe area. Totally recommend Grand hotel et de Milan for an exceptional stay in Milan. We would always come back 🫶🏻

Amazing amazing AMAZING! Exactly what we were looking for and needed. A relaxing respite from the crowds, queues, heat, and noise. Beautiful surroundings, great drinks, and top notch customer service! Everything a true 5-Star hotel experience encompasses. Wish other "5-stars" were like this (hint: don't go to Bulgari hotel)

The epitome of character. While missing some modern touches Eg better acoustics or a more usable fitness center, the quirky classic touches and warm friendly service compensate. Wonderful vacation hotel

A wonderful hotel that’s in need of refreshing as it seems so tired and worn. To have a Tivoli Audio radio in the room was stunning. It’s from 30 years ago. Barely any closet space or drawers. It's like going back in time. Please accommodate some amenities and furnishings that would give the hotel a refreshing charm. The staff is excellent and the service outstanding. One hates to be harsh with a standard bearer of old charm and antiquity.

Love the little cafe downstairs and beautiful lobby. Offer to hold your key at the desk while you’re gone and assist with getting to and from the airport!

Historic building, impeccable service, overall a 5 star experience. The staff and concierge (Anastasia) really met our demanding expectations and even managed to get us reservations in busy places last minute. And the elevators!! Original wood interior! Work of art.

The hotel was neat and very close to train station and town centre,the receptionist was very welcoming and very helpful,there was no language he couldn’t speak. I loved the food at the restaurant. I will definitely return anytime I visit Milan

Super Luxy rooms, the service is extraordinary. Not worth visiting unless money isn't a problem for you. It's definitely overpriced over 1200€ per night for an small room. But the location is absolutely incredible, 500m from the Duomo it's the perfect location to visit Milan. The metro is right outside the door and takes you directly to Milano Centrale station in 5 minutes.

Elegant hotel in prime location in the heart of the fashion area. Short walk to the Duomo, galleria, and La Scala. Rooms are elegant, but small by American standards.

Vintage classic hotel with rich history behind the premises. Staff are very helpful & generous with positive attitude. Vintage components of the room along with unique key to remember. Facilities are very clean & well maintained. Very unique lobby yet service can be faster.

Location is ideal, staff is friendly but overall a bit dated and lack facilities you would expect from a 5 star hotel (no spa, small “gym”…). Frankly much better options nearby at similar price point

Other than the cleaning staff, the staff behind the desk and concierge were extremely helpful and pleasant. The cleaning staff left the door open one day. One day they left an empty plate which had a finished "happy birthday" platter. They left a used coffee cup. They dropped a used tissue on the floor when they empied the garbage pail in the bedroom. The day before checked out, they did not replace the water bottles.

A true taste of old world luxury. Opera chic with style. Close to pretty much everything. We still don't really understand how the breakfast works but we are American so you know how that goes.

We had a great lunch at the restaurant of the hotel. Delicious food and very great service. We even got a small present after our visit, which was a nice surprise. However, one might keep in mind that portions are not that large…however, the Club Sandwich was a good value for money.

An elegant Hotel with charm, character and history.

It looks gorgeous! So I decided to have a coffee in the restaurant. But! The Americano served in the restaurant was an instant coffee. I understand, in Italy you shouldn’t expect the highest art of filter coffee-making, hiwever an instant coffee is no go! So! A bad impression. As a hotelier I know, a great hotel has to pay attention to details.

I love this hotel! Design and atmosphere send you to the times of Verdi and the location just few meters from La Scala will give deep satisfaction to the theatre connoisseurs. Lobby bar worth mentioning. After the performance in La Scala you can continue your evening in the cozy bar, with the soft light and polite barman. If you arrived to Milano for shopping you will be happy to find one amazing Cocinelle shop just in front of the hotel! I bought at least 6 bags)

Like walking into an Agatha Christie novel! Very opulent public areas. The rooms are a good size and have everything you need. WiFi is good but it did drop later in the evening and I couldn't get internet access. Bed is comfortable and the service is excellent. If you love stepping back in time but still have a modern touch then this hotel is for you.

Certainly a classic hotel with the charm of the prior greatness. The whole ground floor are in need of urgent renovation and redesign. It looks like your grandparents house, many nice items and great potential but overfilled, not curated, thoughtless placed and with bad light concept. Without any big budgets it could be so much more stylish and luxurious. Giving the 4 stars out of respect to the age otherwise 3 at best...

We stayed in a balcony suite for a few nights while we toured the local neighborhood … excellent location & good all around experience … tip: the back entrance to the lobby takes you out onto a pedestrian street filled with top quality boutiques … less traffic there too …
