An amazing, emotional and educational musical experience. My family and I had no idea about this concert, happened to come across it, and we were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, the beautiful music composed by Luc, the knowledge and passion he shows for the harp and music. 100% worth going if you're in Brugge!

This was a pleasant surprise for us in Bruge. A mini concert in the heart of the city. Mr. Vanlaere is a great musician with experience in wide range of stringed instruments, flutes and other acoustic instruments. He plays originals from his own catalogue. What was also impressive for me was he had built a few of the instruments himself, while he collected the instruments from various cultures. Really had an amazing evening. He is a humble person, who believes that music should be accessible to everyone. Such a nice gesture! We also bought a collection of his music in the end to support his journey in music. Wish him all the very best! Please don’t ever stop!

I was not expecting such a beautiful performance with such a wide array of instruments- all by one person! Definitely recommend checking this out! It’s free but donations are appreciated at the end.

An 'out of the world experience' is how my 10 & 13yr olds, who I dragged for this, described it! And I couldn't agree more :) I haven't heard or seen anything as unique as this in the 'music world' or otherwise... Lovely, original compositions played on, at times, original self-created and unique masterpieces (instruments)!! The experience is magical and Mr Vanlaere's passion for his melodies and his musical instruments is magical and palpable. His versality and fluency with a wide range of complex stringed instruments, flutes, tanpura from India, singing bowls & gongs from Tibet is as diverse as it can get. What's even more special is that he played an original on a self-created replica of a 5000 year old harp from Mesopotamia (which has mother of pearls, blue stone from Afghanistan, gold plating, solid gold bull and silk strings). And finally what's even more special is that it's a free concert, because he believes culture should be accessible to all!!! What an amazing person, artist and experience. Highly recommended for clearly all ages and don't leave without buying a collection of his soulful and unique music or at the least supporting his cause and art... Mr Vanlaere' please don’t ever stop! My kids & I are rooting for your 5000 milestone free concert 👍

What a fantastic concert from a professional artist, especially considering he has three concert a day in summer time. This is not just a harp concert but a full musical experience! This was a highlight of my holiday (except the mentioned beneath). My favourite was the last piece which incorporates many instruments. As an amateur musician this concert was so magical, and I must especially mention the part with tibetian singing bowls and gong++ I would gladly go to a full concert with this style music with singing bowls. His professionalism comes across particularly well when you get certain in the audience who totally disrespect the art he is trying to perform. Several in the audience brought their dogs, who breath loudly because of the warm day and flap their ears around. I am a dog-lover, but the whole crowd almost burst into anger when two dogs startet to aggressively bark so loud it hurt your ears, and this just as the concert was about to start. Please put a ban on dogs! Seriously - who brings a DOG to an indoor concert where they especially state that the audience have to be quiet to respect the artist and the calm relaxing atmosphere he tries to create?

The concert was my highlight of visiting Bruges. Luc was playing about ten instruments at once in his original compositions. In addition to the music, he teaches you about historical harps. Such a treat!

Went today to see Luc again and it was as wonderful as ever. Although this was our second time seeing him, it feels like it's been more since he moves us so much each time. The way this man captures feeling with his instruments is truly magical and worth seeing over and over again. Attending his concert is truly the highlight of any trip to Brugge. Visiting the city without stopping by his concert hall just doesn't feel the same
