This place is so amazing!! It's not just the Lincoln family home but 2 blocks of beautifully maintained homes!! We didn't do the guided tour we just walked around on our own and we absolutely loved it!! All the staff that we did interact with were very friendly and knowledgeable. If you're a fan of all things Lincoln or a history nerd like me you will love this place!!

Enjoyed the video that was shown. Husband took the tour of the home while I walked our dog in the village. He really enjoyed the tour and the Lincoln impersonator who gave a speech before the tour began. Friendly staff working there.

This is a fantastic place to visit if you're interested in history. The tour guide is very knowledgeable and really brings the site to life. You'll learn a lot about President Lincoln's life and the historic significance of the site. One of the things that I really enjoyed about the site is how well-maintained it is. The grounds are clean and the buildings are in good shape, which makes for a really pleasant experience. The staff is also incredibly friendly and helpful. They're always happy to answer any questions you might have and make sure you're having a great time. There's plenty to do and see, whether you're interested in history or not. You can take a free guided tour of the site, explore the visitor center, or just wander around and take in the sights. Overall, I would highly recommend the Lincoln Home National Historic Site to anyone looking for a fun and educational experience.

Went on the tour twice and couldn't recommend more! Ranger Margaret was very approachable and friendly, and was willing to help with photos and recommendations for what to visit next. The visitor center was clean and inviting, and the movie on Lincoln was well made. Incredible quality for a free experience.

LINCOLN HOME NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE- Saturday was a beautiful day to go on a walk through Lincolns old home in Springfield. This was an interesting tour. I enjoy putting the pieces of the past together and learning about how society did things, then vs. now. What worked and what didn't. How things worked. It is so interesting seeing the "progress" we have made. Some good and some not so necessary.. This tour was free. The walk through Lincolns home was guided. It is best to schedule your tour ahead of time. After that, we were able to walk through a few other homes by ourselves and check out the neighborhood around Lincolns home. There is a cute little garden and a couple bee boxes. I did get bit a few times, so make sure to bring the bug spray or wear pants and tennis shoes. The parking is $2/hour, but on the weekend, street parking is free. Dogs are allowed, just not in the homes. Strollers will be left outside of the homes. No food or drinks are allowed in the homes. There is a fun gift shop inside of the visitors center. So feel free to leave with a souvenir of your visit.

I took my little sister there for a field trip and it was very educational! In my opinion I think it was very cool seeing the original pieces of furniture (ect.) In the house! The whole town was very cool, we will be planning on going again soon!

This place was amazing! The actual artifacts throughout were unbelievable. Having a bit of Lincoln ancestry made it very interesting to see where the family lived and grew before becoming the legend that the nation reveres. We walked around on our own for a while before getting the guided tour. The guided tour was entirely worth waiting for.

This was a wonderful free tour of Lincoln’s home in Springfield, IL. We had to get tickets and come back a few hours later for the last tour of the day but it was well worth it in my opinion! We enjoyed learning about how the Lincoln’s lived here in this house and seeing the original house and some original pieces of furniture. Very educational. Definitely recommend taking the tour. The tour guide was very sweet and knowledgeable.
