What a unique tapas bar! The tapas here are unusual! Delicious foods with rice, and many other different tapas! Place is small, and only accept cash!

A warm, friendly bar run by and Englishman settled in Granada. His wife in the kitchen cooks up delicious tapas, inspired by the local flavours, with an international twist. We loved the pork skewer and chickpea salad the most, having tried all 11 dishes on the menu in one sitting! I would recommend sitting at the bar to converse with the host, and other patrons to get the best experience of a lively, and friendly establishment.

Deservedly popular tapas bar, get here early for a table.Original and tasty free tapas, which can be chosen from the menu, the spicy chicken livers and potato curry were excellent.

Tasty tapas, the amount of dishes is slightly limited but variety in type and taste is very great! Ingredients looked and tasted very fresh, the owner is friendly, a true professional, and the atmosphere is cozy and authentic. Limited places to sit but it creates a fun, cheerful environment. It seemed as though many locals liked to visit this place as well, and for good reason: drinking wine and eating tapas with two people for + - 2 hours can be done for less than 20 euros. Most definitely worth a visit!

I loved Poë so much that I came back the next night. Drinks and tapas are very affordable. I tried most of the tapas and my favorites were the spicy dishes, which had enough kick to be a refreshing change from the less spicy typical Spanish food. I also thought that the vegetarian dishes were also pretty tasty! When I came there the crowd was a little bit more tourists than locals, maybe because I came earlier in the evening. However, it seemed to be tourists who were looking for a more non traditional place, so I wouldn't take the fact that I didn't see a ton of locals as a bad sign. I noticed that the owner was very friendly with all the patrons. If I had a bar like Poë near where I lived, I would be there every week!

One of the best tapas bars in the city for very good reason!! Matthew is an absolute treasure and one of the main reasons this tapas bar is so popular. The tapas options are tasty and original and they have a good selection of drinks as well. Super memorable experience and a place I'd happily return to on future visits.

Great atmosphere, friendly barkeep, excellent food and drink. The free tapas situation is clearly defined (we found at other tapas restaurants, it was quite vague as to whether we would get free tapas with our drinks) and comes out quick. Genuinely, eating and drinking at poe was my favourite thing we did in Granada. A true tapas experience.

Homey place that's a little different than a lot of other strictly traditional tapas venues. The menu is eclectic with lots of African and Portuguese influences. If you want spice, finally here is a place to get it. Prices are reasonable, but it's super popular so be prepared to wait for a spot on busy nights and it gets quite toasty inside. The food may take a bit longer but it's worth the wait for all the flavour! Friendly bartender. Really nice guy. Good mix of locals and tourists.

This place is great! Tapas (listed on a menu) come free with any drink and they are delicious! Try the chicken liver or pork and Pineapple skewer! The English gent running the place is very friendly and quick to help you out. Worth stopping in!

Probably the best tapas throughout my stay in Granada. They have a Portuguese theme (thanks to the husband and wife duo who has a Portuguese heritage), the chicken liver packs so much flavour that we ordered a separate big plate. Good wine selection, food all came out fresh and hot. No air con inside (the traditional style!), but very friendly English-speaking owner.

I feel fortunate to have found Bar Poë. Poë is operated by a husband and wife team Matt & Edna. Matt’s behind the bar while Edna helms the kitchen. The drinks are quick and Matt’s a friendly, engaging guy, Edna is a talented chef making a variety of delicious food. It’s a charming place where i met a mix of friendly locals and fellow travelers. I recommend you visit Bar Poë.

My wife and I have just had the best tapas by none, Poe’s bar is run by Matt & Anna I have never seen a ship run so well. The food is amazing proper Spanish tapas with every drink served. Order extra you won’t be disappointed the chicken liver and the salt cod are to die for.

Amazing vibe at this bar where we met Mathew behind the bar, the most affable and warm host in a bar!! Great tapas made by his wife, to go with your choice of drinks. P.S: We made a second attempt to visit here after our first one didn't meet with success as it was crowded two nights ago. So glad we returned!

One of the BEST tapas place in Granada AND in Spain! I studied abroad in Granada in 2012 and went to Bar Poe a lot and came back this summer. It was still just as delicious! You cannot beat the price of a drink AND then getting to choose a free tapa from a variety of choices. Finally some food too with SPICE. So yummy! The bartender and his wife are a fantastic duo and so friendly. Gracias, Bar Poe for the delicious food and best memories!

Absolutely enjoyed our experience here. The place gets crowded so come when they first open to snag a seat. Tapas come per drink and they are delicious and plenty! The closest thing I’ve had to Filipino food in Granada, was their chicken wings- adobo style. The #2 and skewers were excellent. The owner/operator is kind, friendly and gets your drink ready in a heart beat! Loved our experience and spent about 2.30 hours eating and chatting with the guest and owner. Don’t let the crowd steer you away like they did to us our first night. We’re glad we tried it again our second day and didn’t regret it! Cash only!!

A lovely place with unique spicy tapas. Amazing owner and good value for price! You get one tapas for free when you order one drink. I highly recommend everyone in Granada to try this place at least once! PS: the place is small and fills up quickly, so go there earlier! PPS: no card payment

Great tapas. Nice beer. Reasonable price. Helpful service. Very popular place and you can see why. Its not a big place so you may find its standing room only. We had the vegetarian tapas and they were moreish!

Utterly amazing experience, simple tapas menu, well cooked and presented with fabulous choices of local wine. We particularly enjoyed the genuine, warm, vibrant atmosphere. We popped in for a quick drink and tapas and stayed the entire evening. Simple and wonderful.

Such a great place! We were recommended to go there for tapas by our hostel where we stayed for a couple of days. We ended up going there both nights because the owners are welcoming, warm people, and the tapas are definitely the best in town! Delicious and unique. On our way back from Morocco we decided to stay over in Granada again... mostly because of this place!! And again we went there both nights we were in Granada, and on our last night, it felt like we were saying goodbye to our long-time friends 😍

Really delicious and unique tapas. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Granada. There is limited seating space so be prepared to wait if it's busy although the owner is quite polite about moving people along if they are not ordering anymore drinks and food. I would highly recommend the chicken liver tapas and the pork stew tapas; they were delicious. One of the best dishes I've tried in Granada.

8 drinks with 8 free tapas for less than 15 euros. The food tastes great, creative dishes and not all the same old tapas. Bar is popular among Spanish, expats and tourists alike. Friendly English owner/bartender

To share a drink or to share an experience... Bar Poe... They know the difference. A beer serviced without looking at a mate in the eye misses the connection... The catalyst to say "Hope your day was great and if not.. here is to making things better." Mr and Mrs Poe understand the difference and bring that passion to each and every patron. Working a bar on your own can't be easy but you know when you walk in that you aren't coming for a drink... Rather you are coming to connect. You might not be family, but they will miss you while you are gone and not too many bars or pubs can say the same thing. As they say in the TV show "Cheers" you come where everyone knows your name...you can say at Bar Poe... "Everyone comes to be seen." And that my friends means just the same... I highly recommend Bar Poe and let them know I sent you.

Delicious and unique tapas. The pork dish was amazing! Super small place - would be nice if they were bigger or had a terrace but it’s super affordable. Would absolutely visit again if in Granada and highly recommended. English is also spoken.

We've tried more than 6 places in Granada in our short trip but I can assure you that this place is the most delicious and cheapest tapas bar in Granada. The owner of the place also very friendly and you can feel that he loves his job. Prices are incredible if you compare with other places; so cheap! Fully recommended.

Funny little (limited seats) bar out of the main frenetic centre of Granada. Fills up but you can spread outside with the smokers and vapers. If you are staying this end of town worth a look. Tasty tapas. Limited but adequate range of drinks. Has a nice calm 'hood' vibe.

Cheap and excellent tapas. Doesn't take card... Thought the tapa were inventive and spanned quite a few cuisines, which is a nice change of pace. The Portuguese style bacalau and piri piri wings I had were both good. Jovial owner as well

We went there in the evening. Ordered drinks which were good, but we hoped to get some tapas with them. Unfortunately, we didn't get any, probably because it was pretty crowded so the owner just forgot about us. Overall, atmosphere was not that good because there was no music and it was overcrowded. Cheap drinks, great working hours, but I liked some other bars in Granada better.

Delicious tapas, good prices! You get a free tapa with every drink that you get to pick. Run by a friendly Englishman. Quite refreshing for English speaking tourists to speak to an English speaker. Finally found some spicy food in Spain. Would definitely recommend!

Went to this place in the recommendation of folks we met in Seville. It was great!! Tasty tapas which are included with each drink purchased. Tiny place with relaxing atmosphere. Great prices too! We had 3 wine, 2 beer and 5 tapas for a little more than $20 us.

Delicious tapas that you get to choose from a menu. The chicken with coconut sauce was or favorite, but you can't go wrong. The only downside is if you can't get seated!

Bar Poë is a unique little typical local style Spanish bar. Owner Matthew Was very engaging and friendly and stopped to chat with us. My son lives here and told me.we must visit. It didn't disappoint. The atmosphere was lively and very friendly and the tapas prepared by his wife were amazing. From spicy coconut chicken to pork stew and skewers its a mix of fusion food like I've never tasted Don't miss this one on your visit to Granada

We never visit Granada without visiting Poë. The owners are extremely friendly while the sheer quality and variety of the tapas sets them apart from any bar we have visited in Granada. Do not miss this experience.
