Perfect location, friendly and relaxed atmosphere - & beautiful home made cakes. We stayed for two nights in one of the ensuite rooms and had a wonderful stay. The place was clean and well looked after, staff always around to help and the views speak for themselves. Perfect spot for climbers, hikers and anyone wanting to relax in the mountains.

Awesome hostel! The rooms are comfortable and clean, the hosts and volunteers are kind and helpful and the services are incredible. They serve delicious meals, there is always food and drinks available for a small fee and the crags are at a walking distance.

I stayed here one night on a cycling trip. The place was a little oasis and just the break I needed. It’s primarily a climbing crowd but all the guests were entertaining and welcoming to this cyclist. I should have stayed 2 days :(

The best located B & B place in El Chorro area, especially when you are hungry of mountainous landscapes and you came for a hiking or climbing sport, or simply to relax and experience the nights under a billion stars. The place have all options suiting to your expectations. You can overnight in a rural house, bunk-house, private room, or a tent under the olives trees. You have also a swimming pool and lot's of space for fining your perfect spot to relax. The owner - Melanie and her staff are making you feel like at home. They cook your breakfast, or a lunch / dinner paella - when you book this place with a group of people. They are creating very pleasant atmosphere, so even when you came alone - you'll feel very comfortable from very beginning. You'll feel also safe since many of this B & B guests are people who are visiting the place regularly. I recommend this place especially for those who came to El Chorro for the "El Caminito del Rey" hike - it's a must see & walk through place, with breath taking views. The splendor of mountainous landscapes you would love to memorize on your photographs. Suggestion for visitors of El Camino del Rey hiking area: for the summer season - what we have done we arrived on afternoon, a day before the hike from Malaga and Marbella, without any stress having to stand up early morning. We arrived to this B & B place "The Olive Branch" which is perfectly located in the mountain with the views to the Camino del Rey area. Some of us have taken the rooms, or rural house and some have chosen the terrain for to sleep under the tents under the olive trees ( - cheap & fun option) The next day after breakfast we (all relaxed) started the hike at 9am with pleasant temperatures. The hike with the stops for photos will take ~ 3h (calculate 3-4h when with larger group. Enjoy The Olive Branch :) One Life - Live it.

Great stay at the Olive Branch, its a mecca for climbers and travellers. Very chilled vibe and good rooms, communal area and pool. It's a fair walk for a resteraunt and choice is limited without a car. We cycled there so we could do the caminito del rey and it's very remote without transport. Its very chilled, tranquill and relaxing, all in all loved it

A home away from home. Great location and value for money. . Incredibly friendly staff that take really good care of you. Super clean and well-maintained . Mel , Gary and the team made us all feel at home . I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend this for a simple but incredibly comfortable stay.

Stayed in the bunkhouse. Great value for climbers on a budget. Within walking distance from many of the most popular climbing areas. Would recommend!

This is a great place to stay if you're a rock climber as you can network with other climbers and many of the crags are close-by. It was very rainy when we were there so that made indoors seem a little crowded. The owner, Mel, was very welcoming and helpful. We ate dinner here one night and it was good. If you're *not* a climber, La Garganta in El Chorro might be a better option. I appreciated having a yoga class to attend one afternoon.

I stayed here for three nights and it is one of my favorite BnBs that I've ever stayed in. The property is absolutely lovely and there are a ton of activities nearby. Mel and Gary are awesome and always there to answer any questions. I can't wait to come back!!

My home is one hour away from from the Olive Branch and it came highly recommended by local Spanish people. Mel and Gary are seasoned hosts and, in my opinion, have it just about right. Their claims are neither under or overstated....just a lovely stay, five nights in total with my own camping equipment. As stated on their website, the camping area is " wild". The reward is beautiful views especially sunrise and sunset. If you have your own tent be prepared for rocky ground. I would recommend renting one of theirs for tiny money, as it will be properly secured. Camping kitchen great, fully equipped and extensive...forget taking pots pans and kettles...it's all there. I lost count of the fridges ! The communal area is extensive and comfortable inside with a lovely terrace overlooking the valley....wifi is strong with no problems over five days. Accepting that Olive Branch does have imperfections, in my world and that of many others they are its perfections. And to the person that moaned about the green pool...hey honey...the pool has green tiles...what is the colour you were expecting?. The pool was really nice located in a very manicured area. A brilliant stay, by the time you read this I will have returned twice for two three day breaks...it's just excellent Relax and enjoy.

Amazing place. If you are a climber : go and stay there. The cold pool after climbing is just incredibly good. I ended up dreaming about it during the crux moves 😅

Staff were extremely friendly, the food was delicious and the facilities were very good! The yoga session with Emily was also fantastic. Would definitely recommend if you’re staying in El Chorro!

Had a lovely stay here. The place has all the basic amenities with a great pool as a bonus. The biggest selling point, however is the friendly community, full of adventurers and like-minded outdoorsy people. If you're looking for a fancy place, this ain't it. If you're a climber, mountain-biker, hiker or similar, look no further. A few random practical info: 30 mins walk from the station, nice view, tent pitches seemed a bit rocky and uneven, great pool, slackline, outdoor gym and boulder wall, communal kitchen, very friendly personnel, pool, darts, arcade machine

I had the best time while staying at the Olive Branch. It was so close to the rock's for climbing and it went beyond the amenities expected with a pool and a yoga platform. The staff were all incredibly friendly and it had such a warm atmosphere/ I had a number of questions on the run up to my stay which were all answered via email and, not only that, but when I left something which meant a lot to me and requested if they could search for it, they did - and they found it! The service went above and beyond, I can't recommend enough.

A real wonderful place, stunning view in morning and evening! Real close to most crags. The staff and volunteers are really nice. They offer dinner for 9 euro and breakfast for 2.5 euro! They provide also drinks with a get it yourself fridge ;) if you're alone and search a good price value place don't search any further, this is it! I will definitely go back in the future for some more climbing in El Chorro! Thanks for the wonderful place! And the lovely evenings!

Friendly, laid back. 30 mins walk from main cliffs. Tent provided was unfazed by a very wet and stormy night and stayed dry. Comfortable mattress provided. Campers' kitchen/dining room is pretty good, but only half the gas hobs were working. Bring felt tip and sticky labels to identify your food - and a head torch!

I booked a private room in the Olive Branch for five nights and it turned out to be an amazing trip. Our trip was primarily to climb and the Olive Branch was in close proximity to the climbing crags. The Staff is phenomenal (Hannah, Chris, Luke, Emily.....) The full breakfast is delicious (Chef Chris and Luke are the bomb). The atmosphere is exactly what we hoped for. I can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a quaint and cozy place with a personal touch. We will be back....

Best place to stay if you’re climbing in the area. Not luxury but amazing people running it and other guests to talk to. Some of the best food I’ve had too! Amazing value for money

Beautiful English run guest house and campsite in the mountains near El Chorro, Caminito del Rey, the lakes and only half an hour on the train from Málaga Maria Zambrano. Super friendly and helpful and very relaxed.
