I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights with a room switch that cost me extra money. The positive: The staff is friendly and the location is nice The negative: I think this was by far the worst sleep I ever gotten. The beds are dirty, the rooms shabby and most annoyingly the metro feels like it goes through your room adding extra noise to the already noisy thin walled environment. It feels like they aimed to put as many guest as possible in this house without any regard to comfort or standards. The breakfast dining rooms is overcrowded, and dirty since they cannot keep up with the turnover of guests eating there. On top of all they charge for everything, e.g. WiFi, room changes, extending the already early check out time of 10:30. All in all the only argument for this place is the price buy even then I would argue go for a hostel. At least you get stellar WiFi then. I would not recommend spending a night in this hotel and I will look for alternatives for my next time in London.

So I booked this hotel as it was a fair price especially for london. I booked it for Our Anniversary as we was in London to see Frankie Boyle. When we arrived at the hotel on 14/03/19 we were told that it was full and there was no space for us, even though I had booked it online at the end of January. They then went on to say that they will help us by sending us to their sister hotel which was a couple of minuets away. ( help us?! We’d booked and paid to stay there.) So we arrived at their sister hotel and after a few minuets Of talking to the receptionist he handed us some keys and asked if we wanted to pay an additional £5 for breakfast which we had already paid when making the booking, I then explained that I had paid for breakfast and was told that this is not included at the sister hotel so if I wanted to have breakfast there I would have to pay again or when I wake up in the morning I’d have to go back to the Aquarius hotel for our breakfast. How ridiculous.... So we get to our room to find the door was wide open and when we stepped inside there was a man in the bathroom painting the walls?!?! We was on a schedule and as the check is wasn’t until 1.30 we had to rush to shower and get ready to make our way to the centre, the man in the bathroom told us that we could not use the shower as the walls were still wet. I can’t believe the experience!!! I then called up after we let to let them know that we wasn’t happy with the service and explained they maybe need to be a bit more organised as this shouldn’t be happening, especially with the booking made Months in advance. The man then proceeded to tell me he deals with people like me all the time and was very rude talking over the top of me.... more like raising his voice over the top of me. The hotel looked okay but this is possibly the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I hate to write bad reviews but I think you need to know what you may be dealing with in this case. Would not return to this place. I’d give no stars if possible. It was just disaster after disaster. And as for an extra £5 per person for breakfast I wouldn’t bother... save your money and dine elsewhere, you literally get toast or a little selection of cereal. I’d give no stars if possible.

Tiny rooms, almost no space in dining room. Had to take it from dining room, to my room, and use cupboard as dining table. Breakfest itself was just a classic cereal, with toast n' orange juice. I do not recommend staying in this place if you're on business trip, but if you're staying 1 night (E.g. Transit), it's fine.

Budget hotel. You get what you pay for. Room was tiny but I only used it to sleep. Toilet was shared and looked as if it was in a closet. Shower was the same. Close to the tube! Convenient location. Don't expect much from this no frills location. Perfect for the lone traveller who is only looking for a place to sleep.

SCAM!!! This place needs to be avoided! Let me share my thoughts about this absolutely low profile hotel: 1. Our room was without window! Basically there were doors that were probably the main entrance in the past (see the pic). 2. The bed for two (really??) Was so small that only one person could sleep well. 3. The room has no chair, table, functional closet. 4. The shower is absolutely f...amazing (not). If somebody took a shower there, he deserves a medal! 5. Breakfast: giving only toasts with butter and jam is not worth to call breakfast! To sum up: the worst experience in my life! Have fun in london, anyway :)

When we were there this was the worst hotel or B&B experience ever! A minimal room, with a poor shower room, wc that was probably last refurbished in 1960. A dreadful bed, a broken minimal open cupboard with 3 bent wire hangers and a broken small bed stand with a non functioning tv. The breakfast was unbelievable... stale bread next to a toaster, jam, no butter, a shortage of plates, cutlery, cups and so on. A room 15 ft max from the trains thst run from 4 am to midnight.... After 7 years it still gives me nightmares. Travel lodge is cheaper and miles better, cleaner and more central.

Don't stay here. It's a rat infested dump. The rooms are not cleaned between bookings. When you have a problem as in the rat kind the staff suddenly don't speak English. They refused to give me my money back even though the place is a complete health hazard. The so called breakfast is in a small dirty room with toast and cereal. I only had the coffee and that was only because there are no facilities in the tight cupboard they call a room. The electric socket fried my phone. There are now scorch marks on the wall casing. They didn't care about that either! Also, prepare to get cosy with the neighbours as there is no covering over the clear bathroom window.

I wish I had an option to select 0 star for this place. It is unhygienic. It feels like the bathroom has not been repaired for years. One of our rooms didnt have towels and soaps. We had to ask for it. Breakfast only has bread better jam and corn flakes. The furniture is of the cheapest quality and broken. Floors make squeaky noise. The tube rail tracks are too close to spoil your night sleep. After checkout the hotel management even charged for storing our bags. £2.5 for each bag. I even heard someone complaining at the reception that their toilet was clogged. Take this place only if there is no other option left with you.

The best price in central London. But that's all. Tiny rooms with space like in wardrobe. Not so clean. Disgusting leaking toilet and filthy shower. Our room was in second entrance.. So one wall was door... and only tiny non working window. There also was some noise from the tube. But if you're not living in the basement, it's not that bad. But yeah, for one or two days oversleep for this price...

Absolutely terrible. By far the worst night I've ever had in a hotel. Paid for a double room and got put in a tiny cupboard barely large enough to fit the single bed we were expected to share. Small toilet and shower crammed together and smelt very bad. Electrical cables sellotaped to the wall, and electric sockets were so loose that power kept cutting out if wires were slightly touched. The hotel itself creaks so badly and walls were so thin that you could hear everything that other guests were doing. Trains right outside the single glazed windows ran all night and were loud enough to actually drown out speach. Needless to say neither I nor my partner got more than an hours sleep all night. When we did finally nap in the early hours, we were disturbed by a hotel cleaner who walked into our room at 7am without knocking, then walked out again without apology when he saw us. The "continental breakfast" (which you need to pay extra for) consisted of toast. Checked out a day early and stopped at a premier Inn in the centre of London, with views of the river and London eye for less per night than we originally paid for the Aquarius. Absolutely pathetic that they charge the prices they do for such an awful place. We often travel cheep and cheerful, expecting little from a hotel, but this place was beyond a joke.

This hotel was ok but it depends what you're looking for. It isn't perfectly clean but totally fine. The bathroom was ok, the bed as well. The bedroom isn't huge but that's enough. If you're a student willing to travel it was totally made for you. I would recommend you eat outside. You have the subway right outside, grocery stores everywhere... I feel like it's a good deal. Not accessible for wail hair too...

Very dirty place. Felt like a prison more then a hotel. Good for once. Location was ok. Close to the station.

Room 25 smelt of cigarette smoke and I asked to move. I did get moved after some back and forth and bring told I needed to pay extra. I was given room 14 which overlooked the underground tracks which was very loud until the trains stopped running. The mattress was very worn and the metal inside was very prominent. Not a great night sleep.

I stayed here and wished I had not. The room was a health hazard. The mattresses were soiled and had brown stains, the carpet soiled too. The showers and windows were mouldy and the electrical applications such as TV were not very safe, and did not work. Went to the reception to complain about the window handle being broken and television not working, amkng other things only to be told they couldn't help until morning when the maintenance guys came. Went back in the morning after I discovered how grimy and unsanitary it was and was told that I should have told them sooner, that the soiled carpet was "not that bad" and that they would change my room. Definitely not suitable for human use and have made a formal complaint to Chelsea and Kensington council.

Dear management, i tried to contact the receptionist for some important concern and the person that answered the phone named Santosh refused to even let me explain whats the matter and he aggressively harassed me and started swearing and being rude then he hung up!!! I would want to report this employee and i will follow this further as this is highly unacceptable. The worst experience I’ve ever been in.
