While
in
Midtown
planning
for
an
event,
I
had
the
only
craving
for
KBBQ.
I
was
so
excited
to
find
this
location
was
fairly
close
to
the
event
site
and
decided
to
give
it
a
try.
I
should
not
have.
Upon
entry,
there
is
a
sign
about
a
"mandatory
20%
gratituity
added
to
all
checks,"
regardless
of
party
size.
Annoying,
but
fine.
First,
the
banchan
(side
dishes)
were
seriously
lacking.
It
first
looked
like
they
charged
for
each
side,
but
I
was
told
the
first
round
of
corn
cheese
and
steamed
eggs
would
be
free,
then
charged
after.
The
"banchan"
was
a
salad
with
an
extremely
sweet
mayo
onion
dressing,
sad
fish
cakes,
3
slices
of
purple
radish,
frozen,
flavorless
corn
cheese
and
steamed
eggs.
No
lettuce
wraps
offered,
but
they
did
provide
rice.
The
kimchi
looked
to
be
perfectly
sour,
so
their
stews
might
have
been
good,
but
I
was
too
far
gone
to
risk
it.
We
really
only
wanted
steak
and
pork
belly,
but
they
were
not
part
of
the
same
course
or
the
AYCE
menu.
Ordering
them
a
ls
carte
was
insanely
expensive
and
if
we
didn't
get
a
"package,"
we
wouldn't
get
any
banchan.
We
just
got
the
AYCE,
had
brisket
and
pork
belly,
a
beer,
and
left
$120
poorer
and
dissatisfied.
Park
27
probably
gets
all
it's
traffic
from
its
fantastic
location
and
good
parking,
but
I
was
wholly
unimpressed.
The
quality
of
the
meat
was
not
amazing,
but
not
horrible.
I've
had
better,
but
I
took
responsibility
for
it
being
my
fault
cuz
I
maybe
knew
too
much
about
good
KBBQ.
Hindsight
20/20,
I
really
should
have
just
left
a
$20
and
walked
out.
