We
love
our
primary
care
provider
and
the
staff
in
the
clinic.
However,
I
recently
brought
my
minor
son
to
the
ER
for
what
I
considered
an
emergency
situation
regarding
mental
health.
Dr.
John
Woods
was
not
compassionate
to
the
situation
at
all.
He
informed
me
the
ER
is
for
"true
emergencies"
and
I
was
tying
up
his
emergency
room
and
making
my
problems
his
problem.
He
was
rude
and
he
made
the
whole
situation
10x
worse
for
my
son
and
I.
When
it
comes
to
the
health
and
safety
of
our
children
we
should
always
be
welcome
in
the
ER.
Even
if
we
are
being
"hypervigiliant"
I
think
it's
better
to
be
safe
than
sorry.
It
makes
people
less
apt
to
seek
medical
attention
for
mental
disorders
when
they
are
treated
like
this.
I
understand
North
Caddo
doesn't
have
a
"mental
facility"
and
I
in
no
way
was
asking
for
him
to
be
admitted
there.
I
was
simply
asking
for
help
to
get
him
in
patient
care.
I
will
do
everything
in
my
power
to
never
use
this
emergency
room
again.
Every
time
we
have
it
has
been
a
bad
experience.
I
will
say
the
nurse
we
had
was
pleasant
and
I
appreciated
her
kindness.
Mental
health
is
just
important
as
physical
health.
He
has
no
compassion
for
kids
suffering
from
this
and
his
attitude
is
awful.
He
seems
to
have
a
very
arrogant
attitude,
looks
down
at
people
and
thinks
mental
illness
is
a
made
up
disease.
I
would
never
recommend
taking
your
family
members
here
to
the
ER.
It's
sad
to
think
this
man
is
"Chief
of
Staff".
He
shouldn't
be
a
doctor
with
this
mentality.
His
behavior
was
unprofessional,
unacceptable
and
undermines
ERs
as
a
safe
place
for
mental
health
emergencies.
This
is
the
reason
many
kids
with
mental
disorders
get
no
help
until
something
bad
happens.
