Overall the meal was good but I have to admit I was slightly disappointed (maybe because of the hype of this place). We enjoyed stone crab legs which were one of the better choices of the night. sweet and delicious. $30 for one stone crab. The lightly fried lobster tail was another favorite. steaks were up to par with the other big name steakhouses. In my opinion nothing special. The whole lobster was the best plate ordered of the night. Sides were all good but nothing that left me craving more. We had reservations to celebrate a milestone birthday. Service was below par for the price. We often had empty drinks and it did not feel personalized or special. The waiter was knowledgeable about menu but that is it. We lost our waiter for a while I tried to reach out for drinks to someone else and they could not help us. At this type of establishment and price point anyone should be able to serve you and make your experience a good one. I am glad we tried this iconic place in Atlanta but I won't be returning soon and I wouldn't recommend it.

Had an amazing belated holiday work lunch. We had reservations and a larger table in the middle of the restaurant. We were seated right away. Service was perfect. Friendly waiter that let us take our time. We ordered drinks and shrimp cocktail and calamari to share. Everything was excellent. Big and juicy shrimp. Crispy calamari with peppers. I had the signature lobster for lunch with broccolini instead of fries. Super yummy and good portion. Others had the lobster roll, crab cakes, steak....everyone said all the meals were excellent. We finished with a few sharing desserts ..key lime, creme brulee, and chocolate torte with coffee ice cream and whip cream. Perfect ending. Brought servicing spoons and we were all able to try a bite. They were all great!

When I sat down a cloud of gnats flew up from the table… I have never jumped up in disgust at a restaurant so fast in my life… I was ready to walk the hell out… there was a very much nonchalant attitude from the host about it and I did not feel comfortable. The young lady I was with insisted on staying after they “sanitized” the booth by wiping it down. The food ended up being delicious and quite amazing. But gnat introduction was extremely upsetting. So definitely go for great food but let someone else sit first to make sure your table is free from gnats.

It would be tough to decide who is number one for me. Chops, Bones and I’ve recently moved Marcel to my top 3. All great places. We did all 3 for dinner in 3 back to back nights. And still figuring out top 1, 2 or 3 placement would be tough. Great place, and honestly Chops and Bones are traditional Atlanta. Let’s just say we should praise God you have 3 steakhouses of this level.

Tbh, for the cost, I thought the food was mediocre. Went during lunch and ordered from the lunch menu. Server was very nice and very helpful. Ordered filet mignon. Food was fresh and hot but not seasoned as I would have hoped. Didn’t care for the crab cake. Possibly try again for dinner for full menu.

The service was outstanding and ambiance amazing. This place is inviting, relaxing and oh the music was a nice touch. The food: my steak was cooked to perfection, Brussel spouts and mushrooms, I had more mushrooms then anything. The side dishes are way over priced. This is why I didn't give them all stars. BTW, the cocktails were on point. We were celebrating my birthday, so they did bring out a delicious dessert for me. Thanks to our waiter!!!

The food was awesome! The service is very attentive without being overwhelming all the way from the host to waiters. Great ambience. It is important to point out that they’re two restaurants in one with one being on top of the other. I could myself upstairs searching for the rest of my dinner party when they were already downstairs. Upstairs has more of speak-easy vibes while downstairs (Lobster) is more focused on fine-dining.

Went for our 5th year wedding anniversary. Service was impeccable from hostess to server. First time eating downstairs. Nice ambiance. Upstairs is being renovated. Absolutely loved the Warm Spinach Salad. Was disappointed that menu said Brussels Sprouts Leaves and it was only Brussels Sprouts. As gardeners, who are growing Brussels Sprouts, we were disappointed. The leaves actually grow on the top and people cook them. My Peach Martini was delicious! My hubby asked for medium well and it was more rare. He thought it was ok. Had to return my Crab Cake, it was extremely wet inside. They cooked another one and it was perfect. I ate the Seafood Trio, it was decent but the Salmon was just OK. I made some sockeye salmon this week for dinner that was savory! For dessert they treated us to Bread Pudding with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Bread Pudding was dry and wasn't sweet to our liking.

The newly renovated space looks great, especially the new courtyard out front. The service was prompt, respectful and responsive. The food was excellent and the libations were tasty. Great place for a work dinner or a date night. You can park in the garage but valet is easier

We came here for NYE to say goodbye to 2020. They have a very everything l efficient and hardworking staff that really took care of us. Although we had walked in last min without a reservation, they made us feel comfortable and got us fed some beautiful food. Only thing I can say is that two of our foods came out earlier then the other two peoples and by the time the other ppls foods came out, the steak was cold. The asparagus and the creamed corn were very good. The fried lobster tails are legendary and for good reason. They come with melted butter. The burger was supposed to be the best in town but I think they were just good. They had some party hats for us and they're were some balloons for NYE decor but nothing more.

Went here on a work dinner and it was really good. The table ordered the cold seafood appetizer which is HUGE, I liked everything on it but the oysters (I won’t touch those things 😬). I was in the mood for chicken so that’s what I ordered and the rest of the table ordered steak. Everyone enjoyed their meals and their drinks. It’s definitely a pricey place so it’s not a place we can frequent often, but if you can, it’s worth it.

You wrote a review for Chops & Lobster Bar 16 hours ago 4.0 star rating12/12/2021 This one of the Buckhead Dining Group restaurant. They validate valet parking and the valet is right in front of the restaurant. I took my parents here for my birthday. I made reservation 3 weeks ahead but it was a Friday night in December so the only availability is at 5:30pm, right when the restaurant opened. Do make reservation weeks ahead if you plan to go on Friday or the weekends. It's not my first time at Chops. Their quality in the food and drinks have been very consistent. They have Christmas decor in December which looks very nice and festive. There's no covid policy here, no one wears mask and no social distance. All tables are very close to each other, and the noise level is loud in here, not the music but the sound of so many people talking loudly in a tight space. The service is kind of hit and miss, not in a really negative way. The servers are professional and knowledgable about the menu, but you don't feel as welcome. I guess what lack is the friendliness, or maybe it's just my luck in all the times I dined here. The restaurant's name say it all so as long as your order is steak or lobster or seafood, it would be good. I never try but I would not order chicken from a lobster and steak house. It was my birthday so the restaurant has a special birthday complimentary dessert, which is nice. Overall, my parents had a good time and the food is good.

Cops and Lobster Bar is a very high end premium Bar located in Atlanta. The menu is very very interesting. The Ambience is very warm and cozy. The service is very helpful and understanding. The food we ordered is just Wow. The Lobster Bar is so so fresh . The Cod meat was really fresh and sweet. The Beef Steak is out of this world. The medium rare meat just melts in the mouth . The sides with Brussels sprouts/ beat roots salad and asparagus was also very good . It was a very nice meal to have and a memorable one too. The dessert is not very sweet but yet full of flavours. Will definitely visit this place again. Was very Happy Eating

Alessandro was by far the best server ever! The food was amazing but our servers smile and excitement as he was describing the dishes made my mouth water. Well definitely be back and request him. Food gets an A+ and service gets an A+!!! Well worth the money. This made our 5th anniversary!

We enjoyed a wonderful evening of fine dining at Chops! A fan favorite, everyone had a great time. Ambiance was perfect, food was great, and service was top notch! As a vegetarian at a lobster bar, I was treated to a wonderful custom stir fry of vegetables! We even closed the place down with our celebrations. Cheers!🥂

I’ve been an Atlanta native all my life but tonight was my first experience at Chops, from the moment i walked in the door the hospitality was 1000%! My waiter KEVIN was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met in my life! He recommended extremely great entrees & made sure i had everything i needed to make my experience perfect! This place is definitely a hidden gem in Atlanta! Everybody should experience Chops & most of all KEVIN! 🖤🖤

The food was amazing! I ordered the crab cake and it did not disappoint. Our waiter said it was the best in Atlanta and no lie was told there. I also order the fried lobster BLT with a side of smoked gouda mac & cheese. Best BLT I ever had! This was my first visit but definitely not my last...Went during lunch hour and there was no wait even though it was quite busy. Staff was pleasant and friendly. 👍🏾👍🏾

OMG!! I enjoyed myself. I went for a birthday dinner. We had to be there by 9:15 and didn't get seated until almost 10pm. Don't recall getting an apology, just seated when our table was available. Not sure why that happened. Other then that, the crab cake was very good and my steak was cooked to perfection and drink was "alright" .I'll definitely go back for the steak and crab cakes

I was very impressed by this establishment. Upon arrival the valet was pretty hectic but worked out. Thank goodness I had reservations, my cousin and I were immediately seated and greeted by our waite team. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and was especially warm and welcoming. The Lump crab cake and Chilean sea bass was outstanding and the old fashion cocktail nice and strong. I knew it was time to go when they stopped filling our water glasses. Overall great experience.

I came down to Atlanta to celebrate my birthday with friends. Chops delivered on fare and service. Do yourself a favor and try the Jumbo lump crab cake. It made me forget about Maryland for moment. 😂 Seriously, it was that good! The Dover Sole was amazing. And, special thanks to our waitstaff for making sure was made to perfection! For sides, I highly recommend indulging in the Lobster Mash Potatoes. Lots of Morsels. I will definitely be back.

Best crab cake in Atlanta, hands down. I have been here many times and have never had a less-than-perfect experience. Service is top tier, staff is incredible, food is off the charts. Bonus, if you’re in Atlanta, you will always run into someone you know here…for good reason. One of my favorite restaurants in the metro area overall

TL;DR. Great place to eat! Reserve ahead of time. Can be pricey. We came to eat here as a party of 5 with reservations booked ahead of time. The establishment does have a dress code so make sure you are dressed the part. They do have valet parking available here. Once you enter you have a gorgeous place. They have two floors. We were sat down and our waiters took real good care of us the whole night. Plenty of dishes they could recommend. The A-5 Japanese Waygu was fantastic! A great environment to socialize with your company. Can get a bit loud (85+ dBs) but great experience overall. Would recommend to eat here if in the area.

If you want an excellent all around dining experience, Chops tops the list. One of Atlanta’s staple, high end steakhouses-I’ve never had a bad experience here. The seafood and steaks here are fresh, seasoned, and wonderfully prepared to order. The Maryland crab cakes and the South African lobster morsels are perfect starters. Pro tips : Valet only charges $2 per car. The dress code seems to be more relaxed but still No athletic gear or graphic tee shirts (for men).

I love this place. Even though I live in California whenever I can get to Atlanta I made sure to stop in here. The food and service are excellent! Whenever I go everybody from the management to all the servers are all very nice and friendly, they make you feel like you belong there. Next time I am in Atlanta I will return ~

My wife and I have been coming here for years. The food is amazing and they serve some of the best steaks you can get in Atlanta. Unfortunately they no longer enforce any type of dress code or level of class. This used to be a nice place to have a nice dinner. Now you can show up wearing a sweat suit and slippers and still be seated. Very disappointing. I initially wanted to give only 3 stars but the steaks really are spectacular.

Order the chopped salad for lunch. Thank me later. Chops has been a staple in Atlanta for restaurants since the mid-80s. It will not disappoint. Our family loves going to Chops for birthdays anniversaries retirement parties even bachelor parties. You can reserve a great private dining room downstairs in the lobster bar but you're going to need to call ahead. Chops and lobster bar is my absolute favorite most memorable restaurant in Atlanta. You will not be disappointed at all. Thank you chops for being the best place to celebrate big events in our family's life.

I didn’t have a pleasant experience at Chops Lobster Bar our reservation was at 9 PM I got there at 9:13 and when I arrive they told me they were closing shortly. They implied that they weren’t willing to wait on my guess however, I explained to them he would be there shortly. After they sat me but Before my husband arrived they told me the kitchen would be closing soon. I had to promptly order our food before my husband arrived. I couldn’t enjoy myself because I felt rushed I was to consumed with managing the time remaining to eat our meal. With this being said the food presentation was OK however, the taste was mediocre. Maybe my expectations were too high for the well known Chops. Or maybe this is a place to be seen in Atlanta who knows I do know that I have had better experiences in other Well known Establishments in Atlanta such as McKendrick's Steak House, Kaiser Chophouse, and elsewhere. Sorry I can’t recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Great atmosphere, the service is second to none and the food is outstanding!- I recommend you try the surf and turf if it's your first visit especially. You can't go wrong with the fried lobster tail and filet- the best cuts of meat in town. A-5 Wagu is amazing might I add with truffle butter - the seafood tower is an appetizer that is as visually stunning as it is good. Either as a special occasion night out, romantic date night or business lunch this place can't be beat. We've been coming here for years however the wait staff remembered our names after only a visit or so. Highly Recommended!!! We'll see you guys soon!

Delicious..our server Chris was excellent. He was very attentive and went above and beyond for us. We did have another older gentleman with a Serbian accent that started off taking our orders( which the orders were put in incorrectly) and he just ignored us once a more familiar group was seated. Which resulted in us waiting and waiting, but Chris came to fix all of that. Thank you so much for making my sisters pre birthday a memorable one

I came here to dine alone for a mini celebration. For a starter, I had a which salad that is not pictured but it was really good. I was going to try the bread basket however with a nut allergy I was unable to. Before I even picked up a piece the waiter asked if I had allergy which I shared with him that I did. He immediately told me to hold off until he could confirm what kind of nuts were in the proximity of the bread. When he returned, he let me know that I he cannot be for certain if the bread came into contact with nuts but it is up to my discretion I want to eat it. I truly appreciated that and the rest of his service for the duration of my visit. My entree was the surf and turf in the lobster was amazing. The steak was great too but I love seafood. The restaurant's was nice and kind of reminded me of Noni's on a chill night. You can hear the buzz of light conversations wherever you are seated and the lighting is dim but bright enough for you to read the menu and enjoy your meal. I will return and try something new.

Meh. It was okay. The place was packed and not socially distanced. I had a salad, a fillet and a few sides. The broccolini and mac-n-cheese were luke warm. The french fries were hot but were basic truffle fries you could get anywhere. For $100+ a plate, I deserve better. Maybe next time I'll stick to seafood. My martini tasted basic (and not like the fantastic lemon drops I get at Houston's). The creme brulee was meh. There was nothing remarkable or rememberable about this meal except the great customer service. I'll stick to Marcels.

Chop still remains hands down my favorite restaurant in Atlanta. I know years ago I wrote a sorta bad review because valet lost my car keys & we took raggedy limo home. It was my birthday & I wanted to go out and enjoy myself after dinner & couldn’t. But, it was not Chops the restaurant fault. Anyway, my son’s & I celebrated our birthdays there on the 20th. Man oh , man oh ,man was it too freakin good. Omg , Good service & above excellent food. I want to go now. Lol. We are in Nashville so can’t. The crab cake are to die for. Omg , so freakin good. Lol.

Time to celebrate my birthday!!! This is an elegant dining experience that's actually kid friendly since we don't go anywhere without one in tow. We called ahead since most reviews said there's not a kids menu...well not entirely true! The chef can make traditional chicken tenders and fries if you request. The fried lobster tail will please any kid's taste buds. I started with an appetizer of tiger shrimp with a chili glaze..absolutely delicious! For my entree I had lamb chops well done with tender green beans and mac n gouda cheese. The chops had a nice crispy brown texture on the outside, yet tender and juicy on the inside. The green beans were brightly colored, salted and buttered. All were at the perfect temperature. I'm full but there's bread pudding served with a chocolate glazed icecream...well maybe just a few bites... Can't wait till next year! Shout out to Matthew, our waiter, you're a kind and patient man....

I literally lived near this place for over 10 years and never experienced dining here! After 15 years of living here in Atlanta me and some friends decides to dine here last night. The ambience, the food, the drinks, and our server Brendan was amazing and beyond impressive!!! I will definitely be returning to experience more of what they have to offer!

Loved my meal- ribeye and fried lobster tail. Generous portions and the service was excellent!

I took my friend out to celebrate their birthday and we enjoyed the experience! The food and service was great. Our server Derek and the short guy pouring our water made our experience more fun as well. Would definitely come back and recommend 👌.

Delicious! However, there were small bits of shell in the crab cakes. Other than that we really enjoyed our experience!

We had a reservation for 2 at 7:00 pm on a Wednesday night and it was crowded! We were celebrating an anniversary and they really made us feel special. Everyone who came over wished us a happy anniversary and we got a free piece of cheesecake! The service was spectacular. Here’s what we got: - Sushi Grade Ahi Tuna Tartare ($22): The portion was super small. Not worth it. This is the only thing we wouldn’t get again. - Warm Spinach Salad ($16): Delicious! - Filet - Genuine 1855 Black Angus (8 oz. - $54; 12 oz. - $68): Super good. I got the 8 oz. and my husband got the 12 oz. We both had plenty leftover. We tried the steaks with the Black Truffle Butter ($5) and Béarnaise - Hollandaise ($5). They were both good, but it’s ridiculous that they charge extra for the sauces. - Brussels Sprouts Leaves & Mushrooms ($11): Delicious! - Creamy Curly Mac & Smoked Gouda Cheese with Lobster ($34): Very tasty! We tried a few red wines on our waitress’s recommendations and she nailed it every time! We appreciated that she didn’t suggest the most expensive ones. I also got the Espresso Martini ($14) - also good!! Chops & Lobster Bar was very good. We had so much food leftover, enough for a whole other dinner!

Such a vibe.. we were there past closing and they didn’t even kick us out or make us feel burdensome. Very accommodating, great service and vibes. The steaks were mostly dry and not well seasoned but it was such a vibe with great friends and awesome conversations, we didn’t even care about the food.

Absolutely phenomenal experience. We had a table for three and ended up needing it for six and they accommodated it very quickly. Our server was timely, polite, and just did a great job of making us feel like we were at home with our friends.

I’ve been to Chops many times but finally getting around to writing a review. I’ve had the opportunity to visit a couple times since they’ve opened. My favorite meal is the crab cakes! They are some of the best I have ever had. Full of crab meat with almost no fillers. Recently I tried the Holland Dover sole. They filleted it tableside. It was just okay. I also tried the black grouper and it was amazing! As far as appetizers, I love the calamari and the cut up lobster tails. For sides, I like the truffle Parmesan fries, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The baked potato I’ve had was just okay. It was a bit over cooked. Photos of lobster appetizer, sole, and grouper.

This place we decided to go for drinks & appetizers because the garden room was closed & man I'm glad we did because this was exactly what my wife & I didn't think we needed. Great service, mature drinks, and even better food. We'll be back we've already recommended the place to a couple of our foodies like ourselves.

Loved it! Went here for a birthday celebration. The service was great and my strip steak with a broiled lobster tail was delicious. The strip steak might have been the most tender steak I've had.

The food was amazing. I had lobster bisque 🦞 and crab cake 🦀. The lobster bisque was smooth and buttery. If you would to add lobster morsels it’s an additional $15. The crab cake is in a pool of buttery goodness 🤤 it is composed of nothing but lots of crab meat. I ordered my typical Mexican mule which cost around $15. Which is not bad.

Great food, awesome service. Only minus was them seating a party of 4 who was very loud and annoying It's hard to have a nice, calm, intimate dinner . The crazy part is that there were at least 8 other tables in our immediate vicinity open.

I was a bit disappointed this time around, my lamb chops were tough and the lobster mash was bland. I feel as though it was rushed because it was close to closing time. Our reservation was at 9:30 we were celebrating my birthday and they didn't even offer a complimentary dessert. So unfortunate. Very different from my last dining experience. It will be a long while before we drive an hour to eat there.

Went for dinner with a friend. Items ordered- Jumbo Crab Cake from apps, Black diamond New York strip, Bone in ribeye for main entrées, thin green beans & potato mash for sides & last but not the least chocolate & coffee ice-cream for dessert. For beginners got the bread & butter. Bread was super hard & butter was extremely cold. You couldn't break the bread with hand and butter was unspreadable. The only way to eat it was as a chunk. Crab cake was nice but didn't look like 1/2 pound at all as advertised. Coming to steaks, they were nicely done. Have attached pics for reference. Sides were decent too. Parking - Paid valet at $10 per car but if validated came down to $2. Ambience- Not very nice. I will not recommend it for date nights at all. Group dinners - sure. It was very dark inside with half the lights either not working or were kept turned off. On my particular square table with 4 chairs, it had only 1 ceiling light which focused on only 1 chair. I had to eat in dark. Same was the case with the adjacent table. Bathrooms - Only 1 for which there was a constant que consisting of both men & women. No facility of washbasins for folks who just want to wash their hands before & after eating. Upon asking if they had hand-sanitizer rather than having to wait for Bathroom to become available only to wash hands, they said they don't have it. So much for charging $250+ for 2 people & not even basic facilities!!! I had been to other well-known steakhouses & found them much more reasonably priced for the quantity & ambience they offered. In my personal opinion, the price was not justified at all. It costed us over $250 for just 2 people with just 1 app which we shared. I will not tell anyone to try it or not. It's upto you but as for me & anyone I know, I'll not be returning neither will be recommending it to them. Atlanta has no shortage of good steakhouses which justifies their prices with quantity, ambience & facilities among other things.

We had another great evening at Chops. This restaurant is an iconic Atlanta location. We eat here several times a year. The food and atmosphere are superb. Last night Rodney served us. He was perfect. He knew the menu well, made excellent recommendations, and showed genuine interest in making our anniversary special. You won’t go wrong by choosing Chops.

The fillet minion was just meh. It was perfectly cooked but the flavor was just not the wow I was expecting. The sea bass was wonderful and the sauce was amazing. Service was excellent and the facility is very upscale albeit very loud. All in all we had a nice birthday dinner and was worth the trip to Buckhead....but not something we will crave.

😠 DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Terrible service! The server cannot remember what you ordered…it cannot be that hard to write it down. Friends waited for (Hennessy) drinks…at the same table for an hour and 15min. It took the bartender 3 tries….It took over an hour to get food even with a reservation. YOU CAN...
