Fantastic atmosphere & service. Brunch is served until 3pm on weekends. Many affordable brunch choices on the menu. Creative cocktails & a nice wine list. The H+F cheeseburger is always available. Liked the original H+F down near Peachtree Battle and love the new spot at Colony Square.

We were looking for something different, and H&F checked all the boxes. The ambiance was so cozy-- somewhat of a dark walnut-leather-hunt club kind of vibe. Almost expected someone to whip out a cigar here. Service was great. Reservations are recommended on the weekends for sure. You can probably get away without one earlier in the week. There is underground parking underneath Colony Square-- entrance is off of 14th street. They also validate parking, so bring your ticket with you! For starters, we ordered the braised white peas and fried oysters and pickles. The fried oysters and pickles were so good! The red remoulade really elevated the dish. There were "house rolls" as well that come from The Buttery. The pickles that accompanied the rolls were so addictive! For the entrees, we ordered the cheeseburger for sure. This is definitely the golden child on the menu (almost every table had a burger). It wasn't completely a smash burger, but it sure had all the elements of one. The buns were toasty and buttery. The melty cheese oozed everywhere. The patties were crispy and locked in the juices. A burger to indulge in for sure! The fries weren't crispy, but they were still good. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience.

I was very excited to visit Holeman and Finch to try their famous burgers. The experience started out good with a elegently laid out floor plan and well designed bar. Bartenders had good knowledge and cocktails were good. The bad. Fruit Flies at the bar, a large cluster landing on bartending equipment and making their way on customers food. Then came the wait. Slow execution for their famous 17 dollar burger. Then came the burger. Overcooked and underseasoned is an understatement. Very unfortunate because the bun and pickles were great. Cheese was lost and flavorless. Fries were cooked well and crispy. I had high expectations and the results of my visit made me feel I could have done better at Taco Mac . My hope is this was a one off experience.

Pros: The ambiance was nice. The food was delicious! I enjoyed their beef tartare, rabbit toast, and burger. Random but their pickles were amazing, haha. Service was average. Wasn't packed and we were able to get seated quickly late on a Friday night with no reservation Cons: No major cons. The carbonara was made well but wasn't up to my personal taste palette. It had a unique smokey taste/smell to it.

I came alone the first time but had to bring a friend so they could experience it as well. We started with oysters… which we typically don’t enjoy, we LOVED these. We also had a half serving of shrimp and grits- everything was perfectly textured and flavored. And we finished with the highly recommended burger… which are about $24 with fries….. and definitely worth it!!

Great charcuterie, small plates, and burger. I love the beef tartare here, as well as the meat and cheese plates. My boyfriend and I are burger snobs, and the H&F burger is one of the best in Atlanta. They also have an oyster special during the week that is pretty solid. The cocktails are always on point. We have found that they are also very accommodating with squeezing us in on busy night. We know that if we go here for a date night, it will always be a good one.

HAIL the new king of Colony Square. Busy, busy, busy. Higher end craft drinks vibe unlike the PCM location. Bar should be twice the size so you may wait, but worth it. Unlike the other Colony restaurants, no 20% surcharge!! They actually fairly price their food. Thank you management. Highly recommended

I came into Holeman & Finch with high expectations for their famous burger, but I was honestly a little letdown. The burger is a double patty with cheese, pickles, and onions. The burger was not bad, but definitely not great in my opinion. My first issue was when I realized that the burger didn’t have lettuce and tomato on it, which I consider essential. When I requested lettuce and tomato from the server, he was really nice and brought me lettuce but told me the restaurant didn’t have tomatoes because they aren’t in season (haven’t seen that stop every other restaurant serving burgers). My second issue was that I really couldn’t taste any flavor from the cheese. Finally, I was disappointed by the ketchup. I’m not sure what type of ketchup they serve, but it definitely isn’t standard and to me had an odd aftertaste. These are the reasons that the burger didn’t live up to my expectations, but I should mention that the beef and bun were good quality. My boyfriend enjoyed his burger more than me, and I think this is because he likes meaty flavors, while I prefer a combination of flavors when I’m eating a burger. The saving aspect of the meal was the fries. They were amazing!! Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was okay but felt a little cramped. The servers were courteous and quick with their service. I will not likely return since I didn’t love the burger, but it might be worth trying if you’re interested in developing own opinion about their famous burger.

We had a great experience here, having dinner before a concert at Symphony Hall. A $24 cheeseburger? Yes - I wouldn't splurge for that every day, but their blend of meat including brisket made it a nice treat. Pimento cheese appetizer with their butter-baked crackers was awesome. Our service was too notch. We were very pleased with this restaurant and will return. Pro tip - don't leave your car parked at the Colony Square parking garage during the concert. There are cheaper options nearby. Save your money for more food here!

This place is so underrated. We strolled in on a Sunday afternoon just looking for some GOOD food. Holeman and Finch was exactly that. We ordered the cheeseburger. We knew it was going to hit when our server, Ashley, didn’t even ask how we wanted it cooked. The burger was perfectly crafted from the crunchy bread and butter pickles to the melted cheese and potato bun. It was so good my boyfriend ordered a 2nd burger to eat! Even their sauces were homemade and different. My favorite was the ranch with a hint of dill and the mustard. The chef James was fantastic. He offered us the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and omg it was to die for. Just get it. They also validate parking. Going to Holeman and Finch was the highlight of my day.

Update: over the last year quality of everything here has suffered as they prepare to leave this location. It remains to be seen if they re-attain their former glory once they are in Colony Square. Previous review: Best mixologists in the city! Definitely the place to go if you want to get adventurous in the offal, because they do it right, but they do everything else well too.

As someone who had dined at the previous location a handful of times, and would often regard it as my favorite restaurant in ATL, I was eager to see H&F return after three long years. My fiance and I went on their second weekend in the new location, and we suspect they have some kinks to iron out yet. The new location is nice - it feels less cramped; the furnishings, while different from the old location, feel appropriate for the menu; and it's nice to be able to park one's own car and get parking validated. Our server was delightful and funny, if a little slow to return to us from time to time. The Winged Rabbit cocktail and the flounder were the highlights of the meal. The Crunchy Gentleman and burger didn't live up to their past selves, unfortunately. I look forward to dining at H&F again and would readily recommend it to others, but I'll give them some time to get their feet back under themselves before doing so.

Oh my gosh! I just had the best burger of my life! It was sooooooo good! The restaurant was extremely clean and had great service! It has a great appearance from the inside, too!! Overall, I think dining at the Holeman and Finch Restraunt in Atlanta was a great experience and I 10/10 would recommend it! If you’re in the area make sure to check it out!

This restaurant had been on my radar especially the considering the rave reviews of their cheeseburger, well they praise is well founded. The atmosphere is very pleasant with an open view of the kitchen and wait and hostess staff were very pleasant. The plates are tapas small but very flavorful and prepared with care. The flash fried oysters were great and the table bread starters with the house made pickles were awesome. Our waiter, Tommy had a welcoming attitude and gave a great overview of the menu. The cheeseburger was phenomenal, juicy, hot and fresh. The fries were hot and crispy the entire time, which is rare. Their ketchup and burger sauce is excellent and overall we had a great time.

Creative and delicious food! Atmosphere was upscale but casual at the same time. Service was friendly, and food was well priced for the quality. Caesar salad with fried oysters was great and the cheeseburger is a nice rendition of a classic greasy spoon dish.

Had an awesome experience with Jarren as our server. He’s very attentive to details and has the ever evolving menu memorized well. He refilled our cups and suggested amazing cocktail and wines. The ambience is nothing short of amazing. Highly suggest reservations. Started off with oysters which were fresh and delicious on a bed of ice with all the fixings! Nice presentation! My friend got the infamous H&F burger. It was her first time and she devoured them. I got the smoked trout. It was a show stopper. Well executed fish entree. The wine selection is stellar. I got a nice red wine. I will return soon and ask for Jarren. He’s the best !

If I could give Holman & Finch more stars, I would! The ambiance is classy yet cozy, service is attentive yet never overbearing (thanks “Super Jaren”), drinks are thoughtfully made and contain a fair amount of liquor, and their signature cheeseburger (one of my top 3 ever) lives up to its award winning status with its freshly baked bun, fresh never frozen double beef patties, and house made pickles (I don’t like most but I’ll eat theirs), ketchup, and mustard! I’ll stop there because even typing this makes me hungry for another cheeseburger and 1/2 plate of fries 😋 Parking is annoyingly claustrophobic and expensive at Politan’s Row, however, Holman & Finch validates 2 hrs worth of parking!

The atmosphere is excellent! Very very cool and the playlist they had playing fit really well too. The cheeseburger was to die for. My grandma and I both agreed we haven't had a burger that good in maybe forever? The pork chop was tender and juicy, perfectly cooked. The flounder was perfect, and my dad said he was very happily surprised by how many shrimp were in the shrimp and grits. We will definitely be back!😊

Food was great! Flavors were awesome and curious. The bread and butter are divine. Price was fair for the quality. Decor is lovely. Very classy gentleman vibes all around the room. Service was great from the server. But greeting from the host stand was very delayed. Every server in the room saw us but didn’t speak or step in to get us seated in the mostly empty restaurant. All in all, would come back again.

This restaurant is my daughter's pick because her bday was the same day. She wanted a good burger and Holeman and Finch didn't disappoint her. My meal was very good. I forgot the name of my meal but it had crawfish and shrimp on a bed of leafy vegetables. It was very tasty. My drink was pretty strong so I asked one of the bartenders for some juice to dilute the drink. It turned out good after that lol. My daughter loved her meal and lemon tart pie. The service was exceptional. The bartender validated my parking ticket. I paid $3 for parking. We were at the restaurant for 2-3 hours.

Really good food and great service. Their bread is amazing. The best dish I liked (apart from the burger) was the pork confit.

So before I talk about the food, I must start with our server! He was incredible! He related to me and my husband and made wonderful recommendations for both food and drinks. Now... On to the food! I wish I remembered the name of the food itemsin order to assist in this write up. The deviled eggs 3 ways was superb. The 7 lettuce salad had just the right amount of dressing on it. The shrimp on brioche was... so good that world's can't describe. They also have a toge toffee bread pudding that I wish I never had because now I want it everyday. Thank you holeman and finch for making my husband's birthday phenomenal.

One of the best places. Restaurant is small and chic.I mainly get the burger and fries when I visit, but it is probably one of the best burgers you'll have. Nothing extra, but its the details of how well the burger is cooked. Also was treated to some nice rolls with garlic pickles for an appetizer. Nice dining experience.

This restaurant is my preferable site. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to that place. Whenever I I need a decent dinner, this place comes instantly to my head. extremely good and varied food and a large list of dishes.generous crew, and good atmosphere. In addition to that, the pay is affordable. I praise this place with no doubt.

Prime rib was cooked well and the gravy was good, but the popovers were crispy but empty inside (had to get a second one because the first one arrived cold). Service was ridiculously slow, over 20 minutes to take our order and almost an hour to get our food.

  • 2/5 Stafford B. 6 months ago on Google
We had been super excited to try out this place giving the long history the name has in Atlanta dinning. The place was nicely furnished. However, the service could use some attention. We had 3 different servers which seemed not communicate with each other whatsoever. It felt like we were baby sitting them and constantly reminding them what we ordered. It took them 10 minutes to bring out our waters and they even managed to get that wrong. The staff did realize their mistakes and comped our first round of drinks which were good. We would have ordered another round but no one ever asked us if we wanted another drink. I would expect slow service in a slammed restaurant but I think we were 1 of maybe 4 tables dinning. The food was very forgetful other than the fries which were very good. This bums me out because I thought we had finally gotten a good restaurant in colony square. Even the service was spectacular you would be better off eating in the food hall.

Normally a good place. Went there last night and they where shutting down early. Unfortunately they rushed us through the evening. But not before a server felt like he had to announce to the whole bar that a manager was leaving and for us all to wish her well.

You know what I'm here for! My first time visiting the Public House. It has a wide variety menu compared to the location at Ponce City Market. I ordered the cheeseburger with fries and a lemonade. I don't know how to describe the perfect burger but I'll try. The bun was soft and buttery and the meat seem to melt in my mouth. The pickles were the perfect match to go along with the double smash patties.

  • 5/5 Joy H. 4 years ago on Google
The food was excellent as were the cocktails. Drew and Sam are great bartenders and did an excellent job with cocktail recommendations and creations as well as food recommendations from the menu. I strongly recommend the Johnnie cake (add the foie gras!), the chicken liver mousse, and, of course, the cheeseburger!

  • 5/5 Antonio C. 5 years ago on Google
Excellent food, excellent drinks. I’d recommend getting the trout and adding grits to it. The dish feels like it needed something extra and the grits were a perfect compliment. They have a small wine list but I enjoyed the cab I had. They have a large variety of custom liquor drinks. So if your a bourbon or scotch nut, enjoy!

First time experience, my cuz wanted to try the cheese burger and I wanted to try everything 😄 The atmosphere really was quite during lunch time and the booth was comfortable and decorated with lovely paintings. The cheeseburger was enjoyed by my cuz while I enjoyed the red snapper meniere and fried oysters. Now let me tell you, I have had a terrible experience with pickles but theirs, which is served with the bread, was extraordinary! So tasty….I couldn’t get the secret recipe cos it didn’t come out of a jar. And lastly, I enjoyed both non-alcoholic cocktails and service was smooth and enjoyable.

Today, my family and I had the amazing opportunity to visit the renowned Holman and Fitch establishment. As soon as we stepped inside, we were warmly greeted by a delightful hostess who wore a constant smile. The entire staff was not only friendly but also worked seamlessly together, creating a captivating sense of synergy. The restaurant's decor and ambiance were both inviting and eclectic, adding to the overall charm. While the drinks were delightful, the true standout was their famous burger, bursting with flavor and prepared with tender loving care. The management team, Tara and London, were exceptionally outgoing, professional, and always ready to assist. If you're seeking a remarkable dining experience, I highly recommend booking a reservation or heading straight to the bar without delay!

It’s a nice quaint restaurant with an intimate vibe. It took a minute for us to get acknowledged when we came in. We sat at the bar and Tyler was phenomenal!! He carried the bar and had great recommendations. The food could use a little more flavor but outside of that it was a nice experience.

Beautifully decorated interior, with warm and inviting vibes. Service from the host stand, to our server, to management was stellar. Definitely a great spot for a business lunch. Parking is validated. The food was flavorful and cooked perfectly, the mushrooms were a crowd favorite. Great selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. The whole experience was an absolute joy. Thank you Hopkins!

Seated quickly but once seated It took 20-30, minutes to get a wine & cocktail. Then 45+ min to get our burgers. It wasn't even that hot once we got it . The cocktail was delicious..but the entire wait for everything wasn't worth the experience. Our server was behind the bar, the kitchen, just all over the place so it was hard to get ahold of her.

Great staff, we surprised them with a large group with no reservation. They were very accommodating getting us a bar tab while we waited, and opened their outside seats for us. The food was excellent and we will definitely recommend them to others.

Pro tip: Order one of everything on the appetizer menu instead of doing the typical app/main (maybe omit a couple because they have a lot of apps). Loved this place.

Great Food - Long Wait Times For Drinks I live in the neighborhood and have been looking forward to Holeman and Finch opening for a long time First the positives - The food was amazing. We ordered the following: Clams Pimento cheese Berkel ham plate Cheeseburger (of course) The waiter and support staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered 2 cocktails (pictured) to start which were incredible. The Cons: As I said the cocktails were fantastic, however the wait time to receive the drinks was incredibly long. We ordered when we sat down. It took 30 mins to receive the drinks which was very frustrating. We really wanted to try more drinks but didn't wait to deal with another long wait so we opted for wine to pair with our meal. Sadly the wine was slow to arrive as well. So much so that our meal was almost over. We loved the food and drinks but the long wait times really tainted our experience. I anticipated ordering more food and drink but didn't wait to deal with the slow drink times. We may be back after the bar gets its act together.

Came in to have a few drinks with a friend and sat at the bar. The sommelier (I think his name is Kyle) was super friendly and helpful with the wines. The food is great of course as well. We will be returning!

Basically the originators of the "gourmet burger", this is a must try place if you are in Atlanta. It lives up to the hype, and there are also lots of other things on the menu worth trying as well so you don't have to feel like H&F is only good because of the burger.

  • 3/5 M 5 years ago on Google
The food here was good, but we were a bit disappointed since the fried chicken skins were no longer being served but still showed on their online menu. Similar to some of the other reviews the service seemed cold. This restaraunt is also fairly small which makes the seating tight. If your going for the burger I'd recommend skipping the public house and just going the place in Ponce City Market. It would be a decent spot for drinks and snacks though.
