Delicious! Everything we had was exceptional! The portions are small, but the food was incredible. Our waiter was also extremely helpful and friendly. You will most likely need a reservation, unless you want to sit at the bar, so call ahead. There is also a dress code. Definitely worth the money and the trip there. We will be back!

I was really impressed with Ecco Midtown. We sat at the bar for a quick bite before catching a show a few blocks down. The food was excellent and the presentation was incredible. Each dish was plated impeccably well. The staff was personable and offered great conversation as well as dining and drink recommendations. The merguez flatbread and lamb keftedes stole the show.

A good meal, but nothing especially memorable. The fried goat cheese balls which are a staple were good but left us wanting something else. The octopus appetizer was by far the most delicious dish of the evening. You could taste the wood fire grilled smokiness in the octopus. We also had the gnocchi and lamb. The gnocchi could have been seasoned a bit more. We previously visited ecco years ago and wish the pasta dishes were changed. For a small menu it would be nice to have more rotation or seasonal menu. Ambience is spot on. We had an early reservation 5:30 and felt a tad rushed. I was still eating the octopus appetizer and the waitress attempted to clear twice before brining main dish. We were in and out of restaurant in an hour so it's not like we were dragging our feet.

Been hearing great things about this place, and it did not disappoint. The fried goat cheese balls with hot honey were fantastic and so was the campanelle, charcuterie, and charred cauliflower. The riesling they had was some of the best wine I've ever had. Everything was flavorful and balanced perfectly (salt, fat, acid, heat).

Lamb Meatballs are spicy and dry. Octopus is good but also very spicy. Flatbread is what I recommend. Sourdough bread was REALLY good! The service provided to us was extraordinary. The environment is very pleasant here, and all kinds of people are welcome. We were all different kinds of minority each, and we felt VERY comfortable. It was hard to leave because of the relaxing atmosphere. If they had better food, I’d have dessert and stay. Not planning to come back because two of the dishes I ordered were so-so. I wanted to love this restaurant! BEWARE: the only way in is STAIRS! They do not mention it anywhere. My friend was with a CANE and getting in and out was difficult.

Applause. I was very satisfied with what Ecco Midtown was able to provide me. I very much enjoyed the appetizer, the main course, and the dessert. This was part of an already successful night, and Ecco made sure to keep it that way. Ecco Midtown is...well, in midtown. It is near the Laughing Skull and Vortex. It is pretty easy to spot, and across from a parking garage, so you should not have an issue with parking. There is even some on the road. As you enter, you notice the lighting is low, and it gives an intimate atmosphere. The people working were very nice, and they were actually wearing their masks appropriately. I am not much of a stickler for whether people should, but when people do, may as well wear it correctly. The tables are very well spaced away from one another, and still there was room for many people to dine, and there were quite a few people. Still, my date and I did not feel crowded. The bathrooms are nice, are hidden away, and are kept clean. The menu is relatively small, but has just enough to appeal to the right guest(s). I ordered us some grilled octopus first. It was good, however lacked something, I just could not figure it out. Overall, though, I enjoyed it, and the sauce that came with it, as well as the beans. Never thought beans could taste and feel so fancy! After ordering our drinks, getting our water, and having the appetizer moved, we ordered our food, along with fries to share. Everything was great. The duck I ordered was cooked so well, and the texture was almost perfect. It was juicy and left me happy. My date loved her pasta and I tried it...wonderful. After this, we got our dessert, which tasted just right. The plates we got were not large, and just enough to fill us without making us feel like we can't walk. I appreciate that, and I will be returning in the future.

The Crispy Duck Breast was so savory and perfectly prepared and everything else was great too! After dinner, the 2004 Niepoort Colheita Port was a perfect end to a lovely meal.

Interesting fare and a really cool ambiance, but doesn't quite meet the price tag. Im open to giving it another try, but not going to make a point of going back, either.. Foodwise, the gnocchi was excellent and the fried goat cheese was a fun take; the Flatbread fell a little... well, "flat", and the swordfish was a nice cut, but seemed like the sides tried too hard. Overall was hit or miss. Server was friendly, but overall service (particularly bar service) was slow. With wait staff being understaffed everywhere we're understanding of this, but better communication would've helped to just be aware that we'd be waiting 20-30mins for a cocktail.

My husband, myself and some friends were here on Valentines Day. It was our first time and it won't be our last. Our waitress Amanda was SO AWESOME!!! We never had to look for her and she gave us great recommendations which we ended up ordering. The food was fantastic!! I highly recommend the duck!! We ended up ordering desserts thanks to Amanda and once again she did not fail us. The Bee Sting cake was really good.😋 Thank you Amanda for an awesome first experience. We hope to see you again!!

This could have easily been a five star rating. Overall we had a wonderful birthday celebration for my adult son. This is a very nice restaurant in midtown with a great menu and wine list. Great atmosphere and bar area. My main complaints were the Cote De Boeuf was too fatty and grizzly. Ribeye is generally fatty but for $98 this steak should have been trimmed better. My other complaint was the service was a bit spotty. Our server was great but she seemed to get distracted leaving us sitting and waiting for items. Again overall it was a nice dinner, just not worth of 5 stars.

I made reservations for my birthday to come here (option to mark reason for visit in reservation). We arrived early and were seated by the time of our reservation. The place was packed on a Monday evening. We would have waited at the bar had there been a seat at the bar- there were literally none. Which, great for the place, glad they are busy, but just don't arrive around 7-8 thinking you'll be able to grab a drink. Or server was pleasant and present without being overbearing. He made good recommendations and answered all my questions. The fried goat cheese wasn't what I was expecting. It's like a funnel cake exterior in honey, with a goat cheese interior. Good, but just know what you're getting so you can fully enjoy them. The charcuterie board was great, I would get it again. I got the duck, and I love duck, and I'm used to getting an almost oily full flavored meat. Maybe it's because it was smoked (I love smoked foods) but the duck was a little tough and tasted more like smoked turkey to me. It was good, but not what I was expecting. Next time I'll go with one of the flatbreads. My husband got the smoked pork chop and it was great. I got the broccolini and it was pretty good, had a real nice char flavor to it. My husband got the artichoke side and he said it was a great blend of sweet and savory and a good compliment to the pork chop. Both our cocktails were great, I got the Mayan medicine, a mezcal cocktail. It was very smooth and the honey, lemon and ginger weren't overpowering, and the rye whiskey really mellowed out the mezcal while retaining the smoke flavors. I was thrilled that the seasonal gelato was "sweet cream" so I got the affogatto dessert- the espresso was also good. The gelato was fantastic. My husband pointed out that the decor was "curtains" but the furniture was nice and there's an open kitchen. The servers wear white dress shirts and jeans with an apron. The manager wore a flannel with jeans. I'm all for comfort but it did seem to clash with what felt like an upscale restaurant. It didn't detract from my experience, but just was apparent enough for me to take notice of it. I would come back for the cocktails and to try a few other of the appetizers. I would say you can't really go wrong ordering all of those and skipping the mains.

A nice place with excellent service, the food is good. The fish of the day, the duck and the artichokes were excellent. The lamb keftedes and the beet salad are very good except that the beet salad they should add more beet

Really loved the food we had here. The Fried Goat Cheese balls are amazing! We also really liked the Pappardelle pasta. Would definitely recommend this place!

Midtown favorite, we come here every few months or so. We love the trendy ambience and food. Great date night spot. Papadelle is a goto main course for dinner. Anything is their pasta is a hit. Duck breast is also good if you're looking for something different. Always get the fried goat cheese to start. Maybe with patata bravas if you're hungrier. For drinks, if you like bourbon, then try the inspector.

Weird to see everyone praise this place so highly. $45 for a pretty small cut of fish and two baby potatoes cut in half. We were sat at mostly empty restaurant on a Friday night right next to a party… which like okay I get it servers have sections but there is so much room here spread the people out. The two top tables were also really small, even our server pointed out how we’re playing Tetris with the plates! Nothing stood out as awesome or unique. If this place was half the price for this experience I could see it being 4-5 stars. Not at this price point though.

The food was great, especially the octopus, the wiped ricotta and the duck! The prices are a little high, but the quality justify them. The service was really good too. We went on a Thursday and the place was full, but we were able to sit at the bar and have the appetizer while we wait for a table outside. The terrace was super nice for the almost fall weather. I would recommend to make a reservation if you are planning to go during the weekend.

If there were more stars to give, Ecco midtown would get them. I was in town on a work trip and this place came in highly recommended. The ambiance is just what you’re looking for in a European intimate restaurant. Even if you aren’t looking for good food, Ecco just has that vibe that I’m always craving. They have an amazing wine list and cocktail list. Great whiskey selection. But the FOOD…the menu was delicately created to some how have Keftedes (greek meatballs) mix well in with pasta options and Italian inspired flatbreads. The create it yourself charcuterie board with your choice of meats and cheeses was out of this world. I fell in love and I can’t wait to go back.

Dinner with a friend. We each got a drink, split two appetizers (fried goat cheese and pork belly), each got an entree (parpadelle and gnocchi), and shared a dessert. Total was $140 with tip. Drinks were absolutely delicious, and they were happy to adjust for my friend. The fried goat cheese was amazing, would 100% get it again. Melt in your mouth, balanced perfect in texture and flavor. The pork belly was also delicious, but only 3 pieces felt really bad. Both the pastas were out of this world good. I've been to Italy, and this was close. the gnocchi was creamy and perfect pan fried crisp. The parpadelle was smothered in delicious sauce, and the pork was amazingly tender. Only downside was the portion size; although my female companion was very full, I literally grabbed some fast food on the way home cuz I was still hungry (and I'm not THAT big of a guy...Barely 190 pounds). The dessert was middling, the only weak point of the meal. The service was excellent, with the server giving great explanations and recommendations. My water stayed full, and many people made sure we were having a great meal.

Last night my husband and I stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. We had just driven up from the Tampa, Florida area and wanted something close to our hotel. We sat at the bar and ended up talking to a local gentleman, Philip, for over 3 hours. The bartenders, Brandon and Sarah, were top notch, the wait staff were stealth like and Chef Alan…who we were personally introduced to, truly understands food, flavors and how to create an amazing dining experience. It’s a place I would drive 6+ hours to experience again. If you’re ever in Atlanta, this must be on your “must try list”! (I wish I took more pictures, but we were too busy enjoying ourselves)

Ecco delivered another terrific dinner. The service and offering is top notch. Loved my halibut and the appetizer rounds were fantastic. Drinks were a terrific choice. Desert choices were all solid. Will definitely be returning! Only feedback is they really need to work on lighting. The mirror lights were like staring into the sun.

Horrible food. Came out ice cold. Steak was smothered in sweet sauce, fries were a day old, like cardboard. Just the worst. Avoid like the plague!

We had a great time there. Went before the Nutcracker at the Fox. We initially couldn’t get a table but I checked the day of and a few tables had cleared up. Service, food, atmosphere, everything was excellent. They asked when the showing was so we could finish dinner and make it in time. They boxed our leftovers for us. About a 10 min walk from the theater. Pricing was not outrageous for the experience we had. Would recommend!

Decent Italian cuisine and a nice selection of wines. In particular, the cinnamon roll streusel was creative and delicious. Be warned though, this is not a quiet place for romantic dinner. It can be quite loud during peak hours as there is not much sound isolation. Still, the service was reasonably attentive and the food was good. There aren't a ton of good Italian restaurants in the area, so if you're looking for options in midtown Atlanta, this is a pretty good one.

Great experience. Just as good if not better than the Buckhead location. Just as in the other location, the service is excellent, and the food is great. I wish they had more variety in the main dishes, but they taste immaculate. Our server, Caroline, had a lot of personality (in a good way) and was very attentive to my wife's dietary restrictions. She was able to help with minor alterations to plates that allowed my wife to have exactly what she wanted.

We ate here with a very large group. They have a nice section in the back that was perfect for our party of 25. Because of our group we had arranged a fixed menu. I had the steak, a bit too rare for me. The desserts were delicious.

Food was good, not for everyone though. Must have a well developed palate to appreciate the great tasting food. Service was excellent. Vegetarian options are available.

2 star due to very few entrees to choose from on menu. We choose the Pork Chop and Swordfish. Both were our best choices only wished they had more items on the menu. Unfortunately due to such a limited menu we will not be back. Just be aware of these limitations before going.

Amazing service, amazing food, free gelato and sorbet after your meal. Waiter was extremely friendly without overdoing it, gave great advice and detail on the menu.

Fun place, our server was helpful and entertaining. The cured meat & cheese plate was delicious and reasonably priced. Fried goat cheese and their french fries were also very impressive. We covered most of the mains and everyone enjoyed theirs. I'm not a wine guy but it seems like a great selection. Pretty minimal beer list so I got a "Tokyo sour" which was well made and tasty. It's a classy place but definitely worth it for the right occasion, will likely be back.

Had a lovely dinner for 4 here for my father's birthday. The food was stunning & delicious, but the star of the show was definitely our waiter, Harold. He walked us though the menu, recommend specials, paired cocktails and wine for us. He was the picture of perfect professionalism. I wish every restaurant experience could be this pleasant. Thank you, Harold! Keep up the excellent work!

4.4 Stars: Great service; Brandon is a great bartender; mostly selected shared and appetizer plates. Definitely get Stuffed Piquillo Peppers with braised beef. Also the “shrubbery” cocktail. Delicious

Wow!! This place was amazing and delicious. We did not have a reservation but was able to get a table. Lucky us! Maria was our server and was absolutely amazing! Food was great. Service was great. Will definitely be back and asking for Maria!

Had a fabulous experience. Had many of their appetizers & entrees- cheese & meat board, fried ricotta honey cheese balls, lamb skewers, arugula salad with mozzarella & tomatoes, mussels & fries, fresh pasta with pistachios, sea bass, etc. All of the food was fantastic! Raspberry sorbet, cream puff and lemon meringue pie for dessert. We could not finish all the desserts but I certainly wanted to lick the plates clean!

Chic looking brick with wood fired stove for various dishes. The wine list is extensive and the charcuterie was excellent and plentiful. Unfortunately their hearth was down the evening we attended, but that didn't stop them from providing the best swordfish I've had outside of truly same day caught.
