First time here. I did feel my age of 66 yrs old given the vibe and clientele, but having said that, service was good, folks were friendly. We only had a beer and some pretzel bites but it was all great. We hope to come back and catch a show (even if we are old 😄) I'm optimistic the younger folks won't mind.

Fun venue to watch your local performers and entertainers. Known by locals as a dive bar, it is full of character and sticky floors up stairs. There are two performance venues here. Downstairs several areas, has a bars, food, booths, pool tables and a DJ on the night we went to see the Judies. Servility felt good with with ID check and a quick pat diene at the door. The place has convenient parking across the street. Upstairs can handle about 350 people. Reasonable prices and helpful friendly staff.

Smith’s olde bar always has something going on. From live music to comedy shows watch their calendar for a variety of events. The vibe of the bar is always laid back, but the crowd varies wildly depending on the events and/or night. Like trivia attracts a crowd that has just reached legal drinking age. Post 30s will feel ancient among these youngsters. If anyone reads this and is like “ah, that’s how I like it”, don’t be a creep. If there is a major game on, there’s going to be people yelling sports things. They have pool tables, a patio, and tvs. Additional rooms for events are also on premises. The food is decent and the drinks are standard for a dive bar. I liked the pretzel bites. They were actually bite size. There is plenty of free parking across the street in the Ansley mall parking lot. Pay attention to signage.

This is your neighborhood bar with lot of locals. Great vibes and happening during the weekends. They have trivia nights, improv and some good Dj after 10 pm. Really enjoyed the music.

My son and his band performed here. The Atlanta Room was the perfect intimate size for their band. Limited seating but standing room is good. The sound was great and stage set up was awesome. He enjoyed himself! We ordered chicken fingers, waffle fries, and Cocktails. Food and drinks were reasonably priced. The waffles fries were very tasty but the chicken fingers could use a little bit more flavor in my opinion. Overall we didn't have any major complaints and look forward to him performing there in the future

Wasn't very pleased here. Lines to get to the bar were way long. Shoulder to shoulder. People all on your shoes. Music selection was very outdated (maybe that's the crowd here?) I think there's alot of other spots I'd rather go.. bathrooms very small and not very clean.

I recently had the misfortune of visiting a bar in Atlanta and I must say that my experience was extremely unpleasant. This establishment exceeded all my negative expectations, both in terms of cleanliness and the attitude of the security staff. First and foremost, let me highlight the deplorable condition of this place. As soon as I walked through the door, a nauseating smell hit me. The toilets were dirty and overflowing, which demonstrated a blatant lack of cleanliness and maintenance. Sticky tables and dirty glasses only intensified my sense of disgust. It is evident that the cleaning crew is not doing their job, making the overall experience even more repulsive. Unfortunately, that is nothing compared to the attitude and behavior of the bouncers, who added an extra layer of contempt to my visit. Not only were they disrespectful, but they also displayed blatant sexism. Their violent behavior towards customers, especially women, was unacceptable. They seemed to take pleasure in exerting their power and intimidating those present. As a patron, I expected to be treated with respect and courtesy, but the bouncers at this bar clearly fell short of their duty. Their disdainful attitude created a hostile and unwelcoming atmosphere for all customers. One would expect the establishment to enforce strict standards for their security personnel, but it is evident that this was not the case here. In conclusion, I strongly discourage anyone looking for a pleasant experience from visiting this bar in Atlanta. The deplorable hygiene, the violent and disrespectful behavior of the bouncers, make this place a true nightmare. Customers deserve to be treated with respect and dignity, which is far from the case in this bar. I highly recommend exploring other options in the area to avoid such an unpleasant experience.

ATTENTION!!! There is no parking! On this night, there were no servers to seat you or take orders. You have to go to the bar to get your menu and place your order. The food will be brought to you...after you take a number. For the most part, the staff... SHOUT OUT TO BRYSON...THANK YOU SIR! He was nice and very attentive when we asked for items. The bartenders/bar backs stood around and chatted amongst instead of serving. I don't want to say that race played an issue because a few staff that we spoke to were super nice - RIGHT ARMED SECURITY GUY with the two cycles on the wrists (I apologize, I 4got your name). He answered our questions and was super friendly, we felt welcomed. NOTE: The wings are tiny!

Music was great. Bar service however, terrible. honestly maybe worst I’ve encountered. At first when I got there, The bartender walked by and didn’t even acknowledge me despite my money being out, and then at 11:07 told me “we are only serving liquor shots, no beer” which makes absolutely no sense considering I’m driving home after this. Just don’t go here unless ya love the band and even then, maybe clarify with the bartenders what serving rules they randomly decide to go by that night 🤷🏻‍♀️

Monday night open mic is legit. They provide a band if you need one. I performed there this past week. The band knew Under the bridge. Ask what they know if you’re doing a cover. Just project your voice, as the band plays a bit loud.

This is a great place for live music or catching a game with friends. My girlfriends and I attended a show upstairs yesterday. There was ample seating. The drinks were reasonably priced plus the bartender was super friendly. It was really cool that the General Manager was out mingling with guests to make sure we all had a good time. When we left, we walked downstairs to find the patrons were really comfortable, having a great time watching a football game. It was all good vibes upstairs and downstairs and lots of laughs! We’ll be back for sure and recommend this place to our friends and family. Keep up the great work SOB!

Went for a show in the Atlanta Room. Always a good time at S.O. B. It's got a great vibe. It's an Atlanta institution for good reason.

Show was great but was billed as 7 start time and didn't start until 9. The first band seemed to take most of the time so the band we really were interested in didn't have as much time. Bartender was rude. Door handler was super nice.

Smith's Olde Bar is back and better than ever!! Wonderful renovations during Covid downtime. The Music Room is the best place in town to see live music - sound is fantastic! The Atlanta Room has had some upgrades. Plus the staff is wonderful and the food quality very high. You'll love it - go!

In general, a great place. Been coming here for years. But now the overhead 'music' has devolved into rap. Complete with the 'N' word over and over. Why do y'all think that is even remotely appropriate or desirable? If I had wanted to listen to rap music, I could have gone to a thousand other places in Atlanta. Please just stop it.

They have pool, music, and darts. Bartenders and people there are really nice (I lost my wallet and someone was nice enough to hold on to it for me until I returned to find it). The bar smells kind of dirty, and when I had some pineapple juice, it tasted too sweet. Still, overall it was good.

Great music venue but WAY TOO loud. Must have hired a new sound person. Went to Sun Dogs show. Even with earplugs, the sound was extremely loud. Lots of people walked out. Good music doesn’t need to hurt your head. Do not go to Smith’s without earplugs.

The other reviews mentioned that weekend crowd is young and I can confirm this was true! If you're in your 20s and looking for a young crowd, you should check this bar out. Loved when DJ Anne was on stage. She brought so much energy to the room with her dancing! Tequila drink wasn't so good so don't order that! Appreciated that they gave away free shots on St. Patty's day. Btw music room is free for ladies!

Visited to see a friend's band play. Its a small venue, but it makes it more personal. Nice bartenders, strong drinks. They have pool tables and lots of tvs to watch games on. Fun vending machine filled with various treasures.

Great environment. Felt really crowded at one point and I questioned if there was anyone watching the capacity or was EVERYONE allowed to come in (fire code)?!? You have to park in gas station/Publix parking lots because there is not a lot of parking spaces. Overall great vibe.

Awesome place for concert, food and drinks. Had a delicious cherry cider and loved the tater tots & chicken quesadilla. Perfect snack before hours long concert! Love the atmosphere in this location and all of the employees are very helpful. Food does not take very long to come to the table. Order up at the cash register in the middle of the bar counter, grab your order number and find a table. Parking is available across the street at the Kroger shopping center.

Had a great time seeing Gurufish, Atlanta's coolest glitter soul funk band. Very crowded but fun!

I have a neutral perspective on this place. I haven't tried their food or drinks. But, they do comedy at this venue, alongside other forms of entertainment. They have pool tables. Parking is located on Monroe Drive. It's a tiny parking lot. You'll see a goodwill store. And a Chinese restaurant. Slightly north.

This place never changes. Food prices were up like everywhere else. Small venue is cool, but not always good sightlines for the stage. Overall good place.

GREAT SPOT to see live music in Atlanta!! This place has been around for a long time... It never disappoints! Perfect area, the staff is awesome, and drinks aren't overpriced!!! I love to go see a good live show at this venue, it's just the right size to be intimate, but not too crowded. I would recommend to check it out if you like live music. I saw Rob Leines there, and the show was AMAZING!!! IM SO GLAD THIS BAR IS STILL IN ATLANTA... I'LL MOST DEFINITELY BE BACK AGAIN AND AGAIN!!

Smith's olde bar has been around forever in a cut that's constantly changing and getting rid of anyplace fun. It's a great place to see live music upstairs or play pool downstairs while grabbing some food. Weekends it's usually packed but during the week it's a great place to chill, relax, and spend time with friends having fun. Love this place!

Smith’s is an ATL staple for a reason. Saw a few lesser-known pop-punk bands and it was so intimate. Drinks aren’t overpriced, sound was great, and the bathroom wallpaper is dope.

When we got to the bar, waiting on the Atlanta room to open, there was an Alabama game on so it was packed shoulder to shoulder. This died down by the time the show started. The show was great. You have to go back down to the bar to get a drink, there wasn't anyone at the bar in the Atlanta room, which wasn't an issue, it was a few feet away and security made sure you could make it through the packed bar. The wait for a drink was long. It was hard to actually make it up to the bar to order. The Atlanta room was perfect to watch a band perform. The bathroom in the Atlanta room and one of the women's bathroom in the bar had doors that didn't close all the way.

Went for a concert and didn't realize that it was a Alabama bar. That was fine and the crowd was into the game. That made it fun. Doors for the show were supposed to open at 7 but didn't until 7:15. With the football crowd it made that area super packed and we were all sardines in a can. Of course, opening late only hurt the bar as there were people in line to get upstairs and couldn't order a drink as they would lose their place. Once upstairs the set up was nice. Service at the bar was friendly but slow. With six people in line it took about 15 minutes to get two beers. I do love coming here for concerts and upstairs is awesome.

Live music is back! Smith's Olde Bar is an amazing venue to see your favorite band or just try a new one. The upstairs room holds about 300 people and has its own great bar. Mostly standing room but awesome view!

LOVE Smith's! I've been coming here every week during football season to watch the Steelers for 15 years, and it's so much fun. Also, Mimi (a bartender) is the best! She always greets me with a smile and is super sweet, plus she always remembers my order.
