I stumbled across this place my first time in Atlanta walking from the parking garage to my hotel. We grabbed food there on one of our first nights there. The service was great. The staff were efficient and the food came out quickly. Everything was good. Several nights later we went back to enjoy the bar. It’s was karaoke night and we had a blast. The drinks were great and the bartender was awesome. At the end of the night I lost my cell phone. I began to panic as my ID was in the case and I was set to fly out just several hours later. The manager Mario was PHENOMENAL and when I had finally given up hope of finding it he rounded the corner with it in his hands. I recommend stopping in the metro diner if you’re ever in Atlanta!

Breakfast was good, tasty and freshly made. Really lovely lady serving went the extra mile and engaged in conversation too. I really like this place but there's two things which lose you one star. It's a bit dingey inside. All the wooden 'venetian' shutters are locked closed. I'd prefer to have daylight for breakfast, not dark room with blue and red neon lighting. And you only offer Smuckers breakfast syrup, and not maple syrup. I find it much too sweet and it doesn't feel as healthy.

The place is nice and clean. I went in for breakfast on a Sunday morning and it was quiet, just as I wanted it to be. The service was good and the food also. Kn my french toast scale, that was a solid 7. More cinnamon would have helped :) I won’t give it 5 stars because it was a bit pricey but the place is good for breakfast at least!

At first, I was excited the presentation looked good. Got a closer look and my eggs have some weird gray, possibly melted plastic, bacon was gross definitely don't have real maple syrup it was just corn syrup and it was $20 for my breakfast. Best waitress was very nice and made fresh coffee for me. Overall not the best place for food .

Great aesthetic. Second floor dinning with privacy windows/blinds. I could easily people watch from my porch upstairs in the dinning area. Bathroom was simple, but nice. Food proportions are large, which supplements the price. Tax included in meal made calculations easy. Had the lasagna with a salad, and a gyro with fries. Ended up taking home the salad and a few fries because we were so stuffed! Staff weren't particularly smiley. Our wait staff didn't appear like they wanted to be at work.

First time in Atlanta Georgia and I’m happy I came here for some late night eats. This place was ALIVE. First floor has a bar and a dance floor. People singing kareoke and dancing the night away. Upstairs are dining tables. Wow- food is fresh and great. Great people watching. Great service. Great food. Atlanta!

Great atmosphere, it is very different than the other Metro Diners I’ve been to, none the less the ambiance sparked. They had karaoke here tonight and it was a treat. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the singers and having a Guinness.. We’ll be back!!!

My breakfast was just OK. I'm not sure I would eat there again. My server was very nice and we had good conversation. I was disappointed with the sliced ham. It was more suited for a sandwich. The coffee was good though. 4 stars go to the server

Great food, really reasonable portions. Absolutely nothing to complain about. The desserts looked great but was so full after brunch that I couldn't order any.

My 1st time eating here. Omg the food and drinks got my taste buds jumping all over the place. Ordered the new York strip, wanted crusted parmesan cheese added 😋 my waiter wasn't sure if the chef could accommodate me. The chef made it happened. 👌 my new spot for lunch and evening dates.

My $30 steak was overdone. I had asked for medium, but got well done. It was very dry and very bland. Like no seasoning whatsoever. I traded my husband for his ribs, which were pretty good, because our server never came to ask if the food was ok so I could send the steak back. I don't think it was our server's fault, though, he looked like he had more tables than he could handle. I liked the atmosphere, my husband did not like the rowdiness. It was a loud karaoke bar with very loud music. This was the only place open at the time we went and I'm grateful we found it. There are elevators to get up to the higher levels. The servers and hostesses were all very nice and helpful.

Nice and clean diner. Great service and good food. Drinks were slightly inconsistent, but okay The dj was okay kinda all over the place with no real flow. They have karaoke, which is always entertaining, lol Would definitely recommend for a late night bite and good vibes

It is very hard to put into words the best description for this place. It is a meme but a meme in a good way. Upstairs is a diner with many patrons and downstairs is a bar full of middle-age party-ers. They have TV with sports on, karaoke, music videos, dance music, and cheap drinks. Food was kinda mid, except the fries which were crispy asl. We went on a Wednesday and it was packed. Just go here and experience it for yourself.

I dine at this location on my birthday for the first time because I was in the area. The food was ok. Our waitress was Ok. The carrot cake and the whipped cream seen in the picture was bland. No taste. Whipped cream tasted like water. Our waitress got double tip because she didn't tell us that they automatically add 18% tip to the guest total. Now I see why the restaurant was empty on a Saturday.

My first visit was back in college (2008 alum of Albany State University 💛💙🐏) when I was visiting ATL for the first time for a conference. We came specifically for karaoke and the huge slices of cake which I continued to enjoy through the years once I became a permanent resident. I've had dinner before but most recently I had their French toast, turkey sausage, and eggs and it was delicious. I loved my server's presentation with the strawberries and my friends and I ended the evening with karaoke and dancing. Fun times and great food!

A cool place to hang out. The kitchen was open til late so that was a plus. They were doing karaoke when we were there and there were some impressive performances. Service was okay, some far better than others. The drinks are strong, well we had that Long Island iced tea. For where we were sitting downstairs near the bar by the windows, the 20% mandatory gratuity was not worth it but we had a good time.

The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with plenty of lights and room. The breakfast was pretty tasty and the staff is very friendly. The cakes are Irresistible in so many flavors

Catfish and mashed potatoes were really good. Their ranch is BOMB! Only downside is we were way in the back by the restrooms and didn't think there should be seating that far, especially when the lady came to clean. French toast was really good too, and their fries are delicious. Server was a bit discombobulated, had to ask for a few of the same things quite a few times.

Just went in after a long drive to grab food to take out. Did not like the 20% auto gratuity. Why so much for pretty much doing no work. Food was good but not for the 20%

Stopped here just for breakfast. I didn't notice anything special about the breakfast. In my opinion, the breakfasts in Ihop are more tasty, besides the Ihop is not the best place for breakfasts. Toasts were cold as well as hash browns too. The staff was polite. Watch the that gratitude is included in bill. Nothing unique. I won't stop here next time.

Great food and a amazing place to hangout with friends, especially in late nights! The music is great, the food is nice, and the service is decent. Be sure to try the cakes!

Breakfast Burrito was OK could have used more bacon or sausage. Hash browns were bland, just shredded potatoes. I would expect diced from a diner and prepared with more imagination. Not a good value. Orange juice was $6 even though it was the large, I was never given an option of sizes. I recommend walking 3 blocks down the road to a Waffle-House.

The food was good, the service was about average, the atmosphere was meh. Egg white omelette was $17.00… so not cheap. But solid especially when you have kids in tow. My son REALLY liked the burger.

Absolutely delicious. 10s, 10s, 10s. Our waiter was very polite and we got our food in about 10 minutes. I will definitely come here again next time in in midtown.

Always up to try a different place so today I went here. I love how the restaurant is setup. Nice menu only thing missing was a non acholic drink selection. Breakfast is served all day but the menu has a variety of dishes you could choose from. The cakes are extremely delicious. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area

The food is ok. Don’t expect anything special. The chicken wing I ordered was dry. Even the chicken on the Fettuccine Alfredo was overcooked & was not tender. The garlic bread on the side of the fettuccine was too salty which I didn’t like. I could not finish my food.

  • 5/5 Brittney L. 11 months ago on Google
Delicious food, HUGE portions, and our waiter Najji had the BEST customer service ever. I had the grilled salmon, my mom had the chicken parmesan, and my son had the cheeseburger and fries. Everything was sooooooo good. Will definitely return!!! 💯

The food was good as well as the service in the upstairs diner section, but after eating we decided to go downstairs to the bar for a quick drink before heading back to our hotel. Blonde/tattooed girl bartender was SO rude from the jump, not friendly whatsoever. She let us know they would soon stop serving drinks which we totally understood, but acted like we were an inconvenience to her as a whole, was super short with us and had her back turned towards us almost the whole time. She legit seems like she hates her job. We were hoping to end our night on a positive note & she killed it, not in a good way.

I didn't rate food because I wasn't fortunate to eat there, but I was fortunate to enjoy the atmosphere at night. Was my first time exploring Atl at night, and I am glad this place is a memory I have. Love the environment, the variety of people, ages and music. Great DJ and karaoke.

It looked spacious fron the exterior but the interior was to closed in. The booths were uncomfortable. I found it difficult to get the attention of servers or other staff. My meal was basic. The menu was sparse. To be fair the fries were crisp and plentiful!

  • 3/5 Sarah B. 7 months ago on Google
This is not my kind of place - I don't really love just basic restaurants with "American" food and mainstream decor and atmosphere. As I looked at the menu, I was really prepared to get mediocre food. But the food actually exceeded my expectations - my BLT came with fries that were fresh and crispy and my BLT was also good. The service was attentive and fast for our relatively large group. They even got us all separate bills which was great. It's not a place I would go back to - because I don't enjoy this genre of food - and the prices felt high for what it is - but they actually do a good job serving basic food in a basic atmosphere.

It was super quite when we came in to eat, but it seems like this place is fun later at night for karaoke. Our server was so friendly and gave some good recommendations. Funny enough, I felt the need to praise the French fries in person, and again here. They were so so good. Thanks for a great meal with a decent price tag!

Every year, during DragonCon, we go to Metro Diner sometime in the middle of the night (often multiple times over the week). Each time the food has been great and the atmosphere is loud and fun! We love the low lighting, the vibe, and the Karaoke! In the past, we have had quite the gamble when it came to the wait staff, however, this year, we hit the waiter jackpot! We had a very large, somewhat inebriated, costumed group. We were seated immediately and our waiter was not only very attentive but he got everything right! If I can remember his name I will certainly update this to include it! We had the opportunity to meet the owner and tell him how much we appreciated the attention we received (especially under the circumstances). The food was great, as always. If I had one small complaint, it would be that the nachos used to be covered better, with the toppings properly distributed and the cheese was a better flavored queso. The ones we had were still good but not as good. 😊

Service is great and food good. Can’t beat that combination. My family and I enjoyed this place and will be back. Thank you for your hospitality Ms. Nancy. You’re awesome.

Breakfast was SO good. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and on top of things. Clean and cool decor! A little pricey, 6 bucks for an orange juice but that’s atl.

  • 4/5 Anthony P. 11 months ago on Google
Service was decent, restaurant was clean and even had a 100 on their health score. We stopped by for dessert, the cheese cake was good and the portion was reasonable for $10 all be it a bit crumbly. The rest of the menu seemed a bit on the high side. The place is very loud on Saturday nights, absolutely skip if you want a quiet dinner or want to talk to people at your table. With the area this is expected but parking is a challenge.

Had an excellent breakfast experience at Metro. Place use to be the site of an local chain eatery in ATL that, quite frankly, I'm glad no longer exists...alas, Metro's offerings were/are far better than what was once a terror on the digestive track. I had the breakfast burrito with home fries. Food was hot, the home fries weren't what I expected BUT they were great. A slice of the Crazy Cake topped off the meal. If you're in need of a great bite at affordable pricing, and you're meandering around downtown, Metro hits the spot.

My son and I came to celebrate my birthday and my daughter flew up to join us. Her flight got in a little late; but we planned to go get a late dinner when she got there. We went to 2 other places and it didn't look safe. The present of the police officer, at the door; was extremely nice! Metro was definitely; a great choice! The food and drinks were good. It was karaoke night and that was so much fun! Music was great and on point and the vibe was really nice.

  • 3/5 Cc M. 2 years ago on Google
Service excellent, food presentation perfect, but when i bit into my chicken panini overcooked chicken. I give 3 stars because I know they come through with an amazing pasta! Atmosphere is nice too, and the Buffalo chicken wrap and fries are good. A bit overpriced for the quality. $34 for 2 meals without tax

  • 4/5 Jeremy M. 2 years ago on Google
I had the Mediterranean omelet with potatoes and toast. It was good but $20 plus for breakfast with 18% gratuity added automatically seems a little high. Great service.

  • 3/5 Shashwat P. B. 2 years ago on Google
Overall, the food and service were good. My biggest issue with this restaurant is the value for your money. There is no doubt that the prices are high because of the location, not because that’s what those dishes should cost. Combine that with additional service charges, before tip and tax mean that you’re going to be overpaying for sure. I would have expected more for the money.
