Family members have had history here, it's been a long time since I've visited. Older brother would've been sitting and having a good conversation about anything going on in and around ATL and beyond. We would've sat down with the people of Atlanta and totally enjoyed ourselves to the fullest . Good place to have lunch or a light dinner or a party of friends . A Staple in this city for a long time. 👍👍👍👍

I love this bar! Full of friendly faces, history, and they have such good food. I can't recommend it enough 😊 If you get the nachos, add the BBQ pork (you're welcome). Try the chicken parm or country fried steak if you're hungry.

The food is pretty good and the atmosphere is great. It's definitely a political atmosphere. But it's really just like minded people having a bite to eat and some beers... I like to get the Ruben sandwich. with fries. I like cheese on the fries but make sure you get the queso and not the shredded cheese on the fries. Also the nachos are pretty good with chicken and olives added to them. being a southern boy I like to drink sweet tea with every meal and they have that. I usually have them add a little bit of Jack Daniels or vodka to it to make it electric.

My Little Princess had the hot dog plate and Brunswick stew. I had the McCloskey burger and a bowl of chili. Our selections were very good, burger was excellent, and happy to see that the Brunswick stew was made the way old timer's made it with beef, chicken, (maybe some pork?) a little corn and no potatoes or butter beans. The only complaint with the stew was it was a little sweet. Service was excellent.

First time stopping in and overall pleased with the experience. Very cozy and warm atmosphere, great place to watch sports while enjoying some delicious food. Can be confusing waiting for staff to serve you but hang tight someone eventually comes.

Okay where do I start? I was an actor in a made-for-TV movie that premiered a couple weeks ago. I just moved to town and I don't have many friends and I don't have a TV. I thought about throwing a small viewing party with a couple people I recently met, and called around to a bunch of bars, but only Manuel's could make it happen. Once I got there, not only did they find the channel on one of their many televisions, they gave me the entire back parlor area and a wonderful man came to wait on me and my friends. I believe his name was Brian, but forgive me if I'm wrong, it was quite a night. Brian walked up to our table when he realized we couldn't agree on an appetizer but wanted a lot of drinks. He had a family-size bag of popcorn with him. He said, "It's not a movie without popcorn." I love this man. Never hesitate to step into this lovely pub. Only the sweetest and most wonderful people are qualified to work there.

Food is okay. Best bartenders in town. Not my politics, but a staple in Atlanta that should be supported.

Call me crazy (I know my grandkids do), but Manuel’s Tavern in the heart of Atlanta is home to one of my favorite dishes: Chili. Plunging my spoon into a bowl of Manuel’s hearty chili makes me reminisce of days of old growing up in rural Illinois. Times were tough and winters were cold, but the glue that held our family together, after my now deceased father left our family for the cashier at the local Pep Boys, was my mother’s chili. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I would recommended a bowl of Manuel’s chili to anyone who craves a meal that brings them back to childhood memories. Also, the bathrooms are very clean and handicap friendly.

Manuel’s Tavern is a restaurant and bar. My time time here I had a great experience. My food was served hot and fresh and in a reasonable amount of time. My server was polite and courteous. Prices was fair. For food, a sprite, and two alcoholic beverages I paid less than $30 before tip. To top things off every second Saturday they hold a game night where people gather to play “Werewolf”. To sum things up I will be back every second Saturday night.

Seating was spread out but the atmosphere was too quiet for a bar. I felt like everyone had to whisper for private conversations. They were out of my first two beer choices but my third choice was still good. I wanted to eat but my options were extra limited because I’m vegetarian so I ordered the mozzarella sticks. They were nothing to rave about.

Classic Southern Democrat Atlanta tavern. So much history in this place, visited by many politicians over the years. The atmosphere is definitely the showpiece here. The food was good, above average bar food. Be prepared for the bartenders to let you know their thoughts on any story of the day, in my case with a very liberal slant. I enjoyed my visit and will probably go back.

Amazing place top to bottom. Incredible food, great prices, awesome service, and just magnetic energy. The wings with Terry sauce are my favorites, but I also love the ribs, burgers, hot dogs, and everything else I've tried.

This has become one of our stops while we bar hop on Sundays in the Highlands! Manuel's has an old bar vibe with the best conversations with random people and the BEST mozzarella sticks, and let's not even mention that marinara sauce! Like they should put it in a jar & sell it because it's that DAMN good! In between drinks, we go play pinball and take it back to the old days when we were kids. This place is a must and a whole vibe!

It was wonderful revisiting a place I use to go to in college. Sat at the bar and try to do my own social distancing. Ordered a beer and a club sandwich. The sandwich came with turkey, ham and roast beef (asked that roast beef be taken out) & fries. The sandwich had alot of carved pieces of salty tasteless meat in it (too much meat). My tomatoes were mushy which made the toasted sour dough bread soggy and the heat from the bread wilted the lettuce. Had to eat the flavor lacking sandwich with a fork and knife. However the large French fries were awesome. I ate them all! 😋 I'll revisit again but I won't get the club sandwich 😊

Food is just decent, but I do love the staff, atmosphere, and people I visit at this bar. A nice homey feel which I enjoy in a bar. A good variety of drinks. Parking can be hard to find I usually park a long the neighboring residential street when I can't find something in the parking lot. Both are no cost to you.

We threw a surprise birthday party for my friend and I am so glad we chose Manuel’s. This was my first time at the restaurant and I honestly will be back. The venue has a neighborhood feel. The hardwood floors are great with the natural design aesthetic. The big windows provide ample natural light and allow you to experience the area as a whole while sitting inside. We booked the back room which is a huge area. There is also a speaker connection which is great as it allows you to create your own ambiance that you desire. There is also a curtain you can close which allows for you to be off in your own world while still being present at the venue. Along with the booking, you get your own servers for the room. This is a great addition as it makes the service and experience as a whole very personal. The service provided was amazing. The servers were friendly. They knew the food and drink menu very well and were able to keep everyone’s orders in order and keep away from any confusion or mix ups. The food at Manuel’s was AMAZING! I decided on the Steak Quesadilla with a side of Tater Tots. I’ll be honest, I think I’m addicted. LoL!!! The steak in the quesadilla was tender, meaty, seasoned, and most of all a perfect portion. The quesadilla as a whole is a healthy portion and great as a personal meal or one to share. (I want another one now. LoL!)… the Tater Tots took me back to childhood. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They were a perfect pairing for the Quesadilla. Furthermore, the fixings that come with the quesadilla were fresh and good. Can you tell I enjoyed my meal? Overall this was a great experience. Manuel’s is perfect for a group of friends or a personal meal. You can’t go wrong with dropping in.

Picked this place for dinner over many other recommended Atlanta institutions, and it did not disappoint. So glad I made the trip. Had half plate smoked ribs with a side of slaw, toast, and MacNCheese. Wasn't sure if I would finish it, but I did. My God, it was delicious. Service was top-notch.

Have eaten in the restaurant before and food/service is always great. Tonight we ordered online and really loved the letter from owner (includes his own cell # if you have an issue! Which obv we did not) and the checklist with a kind note from David. Awesome y’all added that personal touch, will definitely make sure to visit again soon!

Celebrated a friend’s retirement here last night! The food, drinks, and service were great. It’s a place my friends have come to since they turned drinking age. Lots of great memories and stories like seeing Jimmy Carter here. They have some new menu items that I’ll have to return to try. We’re fortunate to have a place like Manuel’s in the neighborhood. One wish is if the lighting in the main dining room was less bright at night.

It was okay. They were a little crazy when I was there. The sweet tea was mixed up with unsweetened tea. Staff had spilled a huge thing of ice water and took some time to clean it up. They definitely were under staffed. The meal was good though.

Laura was great! We are out-of-towners and she’s helped us w the layout of Atlanta. My burger was GREAT (and I know good burgers). The wheat beer I had was excellent. And she let me try two wheats before I chose. Excellent food, excellent atmosphere, excellent service-how could anyone give this place less than 5?!!!!

Food was good, as was the beer. Had to hunt down staff to order and pay my bill. That may just be the new post-Covid reality. Or maybe because it was Sunday night. I'll try it again sometime.

Old Atlanta tavern. Big bar for those who want that. Next is a very large room with tables for 4 to 8 people. Friendly staff. Tavern type food good. Something for everyone. Also an outdoor covered area with picnic like tables. Reasonable price level.

Service was great, there were 3 of us dining! I had the greek salad, and fries.. salad was overflowing with fresh, abundant greens, tomatoes and thank goodness lots of olives. My husband and friend loved the chili. Great atmosphere very affordable! Will definitely return.

It’s been a long time since I visited Manuel’s Tavern. Last night we popped in to watch the World Series. We had drinks, the French dip special, and chicken tenders. Service was welcoming and friendly, food was delicious, and the price was competitive compared to other taverns in the area. Thank you, Manuel’s!

Some friends and myself came on a whim and we absolutely enjoyed it! Service was fast and the wait staff was very friendly. The menu has a good variety of things to offer and their beer/alcohol selection is quite large. The food came out fast and was very tasty! We will be back again soon.

I’ve come here so many times over the years for various large group events and I cannot recommend Manuel’s enough!! Best group event bar space in Atlanta and BEST group event servers!! I’ve got to give a BIG SHOUTOUT to our event server tonight, Matt, for going ABOVE AND BEYOND with phenomenal service in spite of our extremely high volume and many changing needs!!! Seriously amazing service, selection, space, and overall experience :)

One of the best dinning experiences we've had in a long time. The history of Manuel's Tavern is worth the visit alone but the food was exceptional and will definitely keep you coming back time and time again. My wife and I found the staff to be very welcoming and family oriented. Our waitress was Molly who took her time with us and made great dining suggestions and she also introduced us to Terry who is a wealth of knowledge on the Taverns history. We would highly recommend visiting Manuel's Tavern soon and often as we will!

Booked the back room for a private event and it was fantastic. No exorbitant food and drink minimums or rental fees. They were super easy to work with and our server Peyton/Payton (I forget which way she spells. I’m sorry Pæyton!) was fantastic. Would definitely recommend for a small event!

Manuel’s is really great for big groups. They can do separate check for large gatherings, and are good at making sure everyone gets the right food and drinks. They have really nice circle wooden tables.

The wife and I visited on a weekday for dinner. The dinning room looks nice. Bigger than I expected. The food was ok. Nothing to rant about. The server didn't really offer anything that was good on the menu. "Yea that's good is that what you want." It seemed that he just wanted us to order and not ask about the menu. We could have gotten a not so great server, however the food was okay. The burger didn't pack any flavor the Hot dogs were just that. 2 plain no toppings Hot dogs. Toppings were extra. Condiments like honey mustard $1 extra. The fries basic. No presentation skill in this restaurant. I'm sure this place does well. Could have just been their B team that night.

Strong bar food, the beer is cold and the selection wide. Edit: Came back here to add another star because I have been coming often and the consistency is pretty amazing. Go to: burger, the barbecue rack. Beer selection is tops.

Had chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and Collards. Steak was lack luster, don't think it was homemade. Mashed potatoes were like paste and Collards were very sweet. My fault for ordering this item. They should take it off the menu. Leave this type dish to Colonnade on Cheshire bridge road. I love Manuel's, just picked the wrong item this time.

I've been a patron literally all of my adult life, but what I experienced last night was nothing short of a tragedy. I'm sure Mr. Maloof is rolling over. First off, several items are off of the menu reportedly because of the pandemic. Secondly, the waiter forgot to pour my spouse's beverage. Next, our appetizer was served to another table so another eventually came out with the entrees. But wait, there were 2 (two) rubber bands in my child's salad and I know it should have crossed the eyes of kitchen staff and the server. The waiter apparently has no clue of menu items as I ordered a loaded dogzilla and he thought to load with jalapeños (this is not Chicago). The finale was menu prices not matching the receipt. I'm not sure who, what, or why, but this experience was less than satisfactory.

I know Manuel's is struggling right now, but they shouldn't be. They are following all the safety protocols and they need your help. My favorite dish is the French Dip. It is not only excellent, but it only costs $11! Their entire menu is very reasonably priced and the staff is extremely friendly, too. Good food, great prices. I will be back again soon.

It's not the same In the kitchen. Ordered a Reuben and it was basically a sauerkraut sandwich on bread that was hard one on side and stale on the other. Thinking they don't sell a lot of these. That sandwich hurt my feelings as a native NY'er. Husband had the ribs (what I should have had) and they were great. Falling off the bone with plenty of lick your fingers sauce. Appetizer of mozzarella sticks always hits right and the burgers are always a good option. Brunswick stew and hot dogs, too. Bar wasn't the best, as my margarita was more like whiskey sour mix with a splash of liquor. Thus place has been a favorite for years in our family and it had been awhile since we visited, but we were disappointed in the food with this visit.

Had the chicken Parmesan and it was mostly burned. We have been coming here for years and this is the first time we had bad service. Brian was our server and he wouldn’t even talk, he will come and throw the plates on the table, not even come to check on us, the table was so sticky than the menu got stuck and he just looked and laugh. He was watching the sports games so we had to catch his attention.

Stopped for lunch after exercising my right to vote, which was easy peasy at the library on Ponce. They weren't exactly open yet, but seated us outside and let us order lunch. I had a fabulous chichen fried steak, mashed potatos, and greens. Delish. My companion had chicken tenders that also rocked. Reminded me of lunches when I lived in Fort Worth. I wish I'd taken a pic of the plate full of food to share with you.
