Maybe the WORST SERVICE EVER I’ve experienced in my life! First off the lady seating us sat us next two four tables maybe 2-3 feet away during the pandemic (May 2021). There were ten to fifteen other tables open with no one in them socially distanced. Next our waitress was EXTREMELY rude! She acted like we were idiots for not knowing we could download the menu on a QR code on the table. Every time she came back she had an attitude like we were idiots and not welcome. Maybe she could tell we weren’t locals? Honestly I can’t remember the last time I’ve had this poor of service. The food was good but it’s a shame that horrible service ruined our experience at this restaurant. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Our server Dom didn't know what the soup of the day was, I didn't even want soup but still. The menu was literally just a tiny piece of paper with a barcode on it, he told me to take a picture of it...why would I want a picture of that??? Very crowded and no one wore a mask while eating, UNSAFE. Will come back, but not anytime soon. Thanks

Lunch here was a treat. Our waiter Derek was great! Shortly after we were seated he brought us water (finally someone just took the liberty to give water without us having to ask for it) and took our appetizer order. We had the Green Chili Chicken and Cheese Flautas and 1 1/2 lb Jumbo Chicken Wings. The wings were big and hot. They are some of the largest wings I have had in Georgia. This was a good choice it wasn’t heavy and they were good. For an entree I had the Herb Crusted Salmon and it was delicious and filling. My companion had the Steak Frites which he enjoyed. For our drinks we enjoyed the Bottomless Mimosas. Derek continue to fill not only our mimosa glass but also our water. Even after we paid our bill and we sat to talk for a little while Derek continued to fill our water. He was very nice, friendly and sweet. Thank you Derek for making our first visit to Kaleidoscope a pleasant and welcoming one!!

We had Austin as our server during Saturday brunch and he was incredible. This guy is the best. I've never had service like this at a restaurant before in Atlanta. I brought my friend here for the first time and we both agreed that based on our service today we're definitely coming back all the time. Even when we thought he forgot about us it turned out the delay was due to him trying to get us even better service. Thanks for the vibes today! Kaleidoscope has two new loyal customers!

I can’t recommend this place enough. This was always one of our favorite restaurants/bars when we lived in north Atlanta. The food is delicious and the bar is bountiful. Ask for “the Deuce” when ordering a drink. He is the greatest bartender that ever lived. There’s not even a close second. Beyond the great bartender, this place has an award winning delicious burger, bottomless mimosas on the weekend, and is a just great spot for watching sports. Definitely check it out if you are in the area. There is parking behind the building. My minimal pictures don’t do it justice.

Nice place for lunch. Food and staff were very good. Unfortunately they only served craft beers with no major brands… for those who are not familiar with the many craft breweries. We also were seated on a rear table, right next to the kitchen which was unfortunate. Our adjacent table also had chairs added at the end, that made it quite tight. We had burgers, a chicken sandwich and Cobb Salad. Parking available behind the shops.

I visited this place for my b-day w/friends. The interior is nice and very spacious. We ordered a side of fries which have an sauce drizzled and the pot stickers for apps. I ordered the Thai Basil Fried Rice, it was a decent sized portion but I felt it was slightly under-seasoned. I requested the sauce that came w/the pot stickers to drizzle over. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate mousse, it was very tasty and well-portioned, we split it amongst 3.

This place is absolutely awesome I visited them about a week ago during their Sunday brunch. They offered $20 Bottomless mimosas and the outdoor patio was a great place to enjoy any meal any time of day. We had an epic time on the patio was filled with high energy. We were there celebrating a birthday and when we sang Happy Birthday or celebrated other tables started singing with us and started chanting with us. So we did the same to the other parties and it was sooo fun. The menu items were priced very reasonably and did I say the mimosas were off the chain? They were. I ordered a tuna Tatar and it was unbelievably amazing and I don't even eat raw fish. I also had a taste of a chicken taco that was amazing. I highly recommend this place for great food and a great time.

3 tables were sat and attended before we were waited on. the only reason someone attended us is because we asked for a manager twice. our calamari was as if were chewing on rubber. Definitely stay away if you don't fit there criteria..

Food is always eh. Bartenders take forever to get to you unless you're "part of the click" from the hood. They also are never really thrilled you're there. Often sit for several minutes at bar before they take an interest. Also, experienced severely rude and inappropriate comments by a bartender. Walked out. Never was a great experience before that and clearly is a no go now. Not worth it. Place sucks. Live a mile away and would rather drive across town to somewhere else.

Nice local place. Food isn't what you'd expect, there are appetizers, entrees, burgers and salads, heavy on pork- based selections. We had Cubano, Philly steak and chicken tacos, all excellent. Very friendly service. Great outdoor patio.

Not much has changed! Great Bartenders Everyone is so friendly. I can understand being nice to someone who is nice to you. But they are Nice to everyone. It’s best to visit this place as much as possible. I have been here a bunch of times and each time was amazing. The Rugged Big Boned Bearded Bartender is overly friendly. And the Towering Danty on is a better than most Stand up Comedians. I guess they are extremely happy and want those who pay for drinks to feel that as well 🤷‍♂️. Help is hard to come by these days so good for this restaurant in having some of the best

*Review #3 (8 months from 1st review): I don't usually leave tertiary reviews but I feel compelled. I've sampled much of the menu. It has never failed me. Tonight was served by 2 "new to me" bartenders. Both were really friendly, engaging and kind of funny, but Shannon was just awesome. Instant friends. That's how it should be at a neighborhood spot like this. * Review # 2 (5 months later) : I've been here maybe...5 times since my initial visit. The food is really good, some fun and on point servers, and their self titled IPA is really pretty good. But...my server sucked tonight, and she had juuuust a smidge of indignance about her. Just a bit. And I ate my dinner sans a 2nd beer. I guess we lost our spot in her rhythm. * 1st review: Tasty wings. Cool vibe.

My girlfriend and me came here after a failure first stop at a restaurant near by for dinner a few months back on a Friday. We came still hungry and wanted to eat outside since it was a warm night for October. I was looking to eat on something more healthy and found comfort in the Gyro, it filled me up well and I left with leftovers. Overall, we are thinking of coming back for one a weeknight when they have activity going on/sport games to watch. Definitely recommend check them out at night, get atmosphere and you can bring your dog on the outside section!

It has been hard feeling comfortable enough to dine out during the pandemic. My friends and I selected this place because of their heated patio option and thought that it would be the safest selection in trying to spend a bit of time outside of our homes. We arrived right as the restaurant opened and were able to sit at a table on the fairly quiet patio. After about 10 minutes, additional parties began to come in and unfortunately, a party of 6-7 was seated directly next to my table of 3. There were no true distancing protocols in place. My friends and I moved the table ourselves, but shortly after another party of 4 tried to come and sit directly next to us at an available table. Considering the current climate, I would implore the restaurant to take more care of their patrons and follow basic CDC guidelines for dining. Inside was also quite packed, chairs and tables were not 6 feet apart and you would imagine we were not dealing with a pandemic. I am disappointed in how the restaurant has handled the situation and will not be dining here again.

1st time dining here. We stopped by because of the crowd on the patio. Our server was definitely A-1! A customer recommended a few dishes for us to try. We started with the Verde Wings ,my husband absolutely loved them. That would probably be the dish I’d say try. Followed that with the Korean bbq bowl. Now that was the oddest combination of foods that I’ve ever had. Won’t ever try that again. He had a burger slider with pimento cheese, he wasn’t a fan of that either.

Went to brunch with some friends. The parking is street parking and they have a parking lot in the back. I liked that they have TVs all over the restaurant. I was able to watch the football games during brunch. The food was good. I enjoyed the southern fried chicken breakfast sandwich. They brunch menu, however, is very limited. They have egg dishes, biscuit dishes, and French Toast along with dinner options. They only have pork bacon, sausage, ham, etc. So, for non pork eaters like myself, your menu options are even smaller. Now, while I enjoyed the food and atmosphere, the service was not good. We kept having to flag our server down to order drinks and food. I ordered an orange juice and had to ask for it 3 times over the span of 20 minutes before I finally received it. When we finished eating, we had to find the server again to ask for our bill. The bad service took away from our experience.

Wife and i met our friends here for brunch sunday. We've been before but first time trying brunch....don't think we'll come back, tbh. The hostess looked extremely sleepy, didnt say a word to me when I approached the stand, all i got was a blank stare. she took us towards our table, and when we got about 15 ft from the table she just pointed at it and turned around without saying a word, lol. Then our server came over, young guy, no greeting, no smile, just super bland. Looking at the staff no one in the whole store was smiling, no one looked pleased to be at work. My bloody tasted wonky, switched to a beer. Bacon was super greasy, gravy was super thin and runny, food was just ehh. Average tasting food can be saved with great service, but overall this was like a 4/10 experience at best. I expected more overall since we've had good experiences here in the past.

I would give zero stars if I could. I gave 5 stars for the food because the chips are good, and that’s only because that’s the only thing they don’t produce. What they do BREW is a culture of hostility brewed by a bald, incompetent bartender. If you’re looking for an environment where you’re not welcome, even though you are a recurring customer, this is the place for you.

Took my girl for the bottomless mimosas and she loved it! I read some reviews on the shrimp and grits and they made them sound basic but the grits were bangin actually. From the cheese used in the grits, the sauce they make to the seasoning of the shrimp did not disappoint. Will come back again!

Was decent. A bit on the pricey side for lunch. The poutine was... not the best I've had (to be fair, I've had some ridiculously good poutine). Would definitely give it another go, and will update experiences if it's any different.

Cute place to eat in Brookhaven. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of it. The food is good, not great but I really enjoyed my steak frites. It was definitely greasy, but the flavor was very good. The dining room is spacious with a lot of tv’s by the bar. Overall, pretty good choice.

I thought the kaleidoscope burger was pretty average. It was a lot of food, but I wouldn’t say the taste was extraordinary. The fries were super bland. The outside seating is nice, and there was live music Wednesday night. Lastly, I have to give props to our waiter. He was very attentive.

This place is TERRIBLE. my husband picked us up dinner last night and this is what was given to me. This is supposed to be the hanger steak salad. And this photo was before I even took a bite! I tried calling and everytime I got a message saying voice mail full. Beyond unprofessional. I even reached out to the manager via email and got no response . I would save my money and go elsewhere if your looking for a quality meal.

This place has always had good food. Forgot about it for year until a friend brought it up and we went. I highly recommend the burger. It is a bit small so might want to make it a double. The pub fires, egg rolls, and calamari are all amazing. Definitely a nice spot to try if you have been or are in the area frequently.

Nice lively spot in a great location. Parking available behind and on the street. Several great gluten free options. Calamari was extremely tasty and crispy but very small pieces so for me the ratio of meat to coating was not great. Wings were fantastic. Big, crispy, delicious buffalo sauce. Steak frites were good but the chimichurri is more oil than herbs, and coated every fry and piece of steak. Another review described them as greasy and they are not wrong. Ordered one to go and meat was very very salty, even with all sauce on the side. Food came out lightning fast. Bar is attentive and cares very much about their drinks, which is well appreciated.

Never been to an establishment where the host/hostess were extremely rude, We stood at the door not knowing where to go or what to do unti we seen a very young female and male talking at the host stand. If we didn't approach them we would've been standing there forever, even when approaching them it's like we were a bother to them. No greeting/No smile this is not a very welcoming environment at all. The best thing was the calamari, I've never had a cocktail that was terrible ( very bitter and no alcohol) overall just a terrible experience.

  • 4/5 Felicia T. 5 years ago on Google
The grilled cheese BLT & cheesy grits were extremely tasty...so a definite 2 thumbs up to the chef. The reason I'm not assigning a 5- star rating is due to the service. Everyone in my party had received their food except me. Our server advised me that my food was ready, but had been left sitting in the window. She didn't offer an explanation or an apology for the oversight, so... As a side note: I'm glad that my cousin had an enjoyable birthday celebration.

It's very clear that Kaleidoscope doesn't believe in social distancing. I was hoping for a covid-safe patio brunch, but was extremely disappointed when the servers tried to seat parties right beside our table. The tables are extremely close to each other as it is. I shouldn't have to try to physically move or tell servers not to seat people beside us. It's clear this restaurant only cares about making money and not the safety of its patrons. I'm trying to support businesses during the pandemic but I can't if I feel unsafe. Because I was uncomfortable, I couldn't really enjoy my meal. Do better, Kaleidoscope.

Always a favorite neighborhood spot. The menu has something for every taste or mood. The bottomless mimosas brunch is a great value too. Recently discovered the pork chop with chimichurri and eggs with a side of home fries. I prefer to sit at the bar because the bartenders are great. If the bar is full, the patio is great in good weather.

In an unique time for everywhere globally, I highly compliment them on meeting, if not exceeding the standards for - The New Norm. Additionally, we sat on The 🍕 side outdoors. All service was exceptional. The waitress was bubbling with high positive energy. The additional staff engaged us with service and conversation. Along with, the Manager checked on us two times. Last but not least, we had pizza and it was superb. Pizza clarification, true thin sliced pizza the way it's made in Italy. However, in Italy the topping are ok in the amount served. The toppings we enjoyed were abundant. . . No, I do not work for them. Felt great to get out again. Stay well and be safe.

The service is good, the food is delicious and they even have a separate fryer for gluten free fried chicken! Good food, only dined outside (patio is dog friendly which is a plus). Was not impressed by the service. Both servers outside had extremely rude mannerism and were very short. I never leave reviews (unless it’s an AMAZING experience or really bad experience). I’ve never had service like this ever and couldn’t believe the two outside servers were unapologetically giving off a “I’m so annoyed with everyone/I hate people” type of vibe. Maybe they were having a bad day, but it was sad. So for this reason, I’m giving this place three stars instead of four. I would go back again in hopes to get different servers and have a better experience since it seems like a good neighborhood spot with decent pub food + outdoor seating.

10/10 experience, Denise was an amazing server!! She gave great recommendations and was super funny! I came with my friends & got the calamari appetizer & the chicken flautas courtesy of her recommendation and they were phenomenal; I finished my plate in like 5 minutes no exaggeration! My friend got the cuban sandwich and it was also great! We used her mojo & poured it on the flautas and they tasted even better than before somehow! We were speechless from how good everything was. We will definitely be back!
