Went here during my time in Atlanta. Was shown on Guy Fieri Diners Drive in and Dives and was a great experience. Food is incredible. Love the decor and staff were sooo friendly. It's not a place you'd find simply online and expect good quality food but don't judge a book by its cover. This place is amazing! Im not from the area and wouldn't have gone if it weren't recommended by the DDD show. GO check it out!

Almost everything was good. Wasn't in love with the tater tots but the Philly was juicy and well seasoned. The buffalo chicken chunks we're crispy and not too hot. I enjoyed the water here and my waitress was sweet and attentive. Interested in coming back when they have live entertainment.

Great dive bar, with a trendy feel to it. If you've spent a bit of time in the Ansley mall/Midtown area, you've heard of this place. First off, pricing was so low, I thought the food not be as good. Boy was I wrong. I ordered the Mother Clucker with house chips. Probably the best chicken sandwich in Atlanta. (Prove me wrong). Beer selection wasn't that great but I enjoyed the local brews they have on tap. Great service, and decent crowd. I'd love to try the other items on the menu, so any suggestions for my next dish would be great.

Great spot near Piedmont Park to snag a bite to eat and a good adult beverage. The jerk chili is phenomenal! Great service with friendly staff.

Had good late night eats here, I ordered a pastrami reuben which was very good and my wife had smoked wings. We were both pleased with our food and the decoration of the place, although we did feel a bit out of place because the crowd is punk rock, but no problem at all. What I did not like was that you can smoke inside, us being non smokers it was not a pleasant sensation, and all our clothes and hair smelled like an ashtray when we got home.

We only stopped in for a beer while waiting for our movie to start next door but the service was great! This is a classic dive, hole in the wall definitely worth visiting! We love the atmosphere and decor. We will have a meal next time as well!

The Highlander is a delicious pub/restaurant located off Monroe. Pretty much anything you get here will be delicious. The burners, blue plate specials, chicken, chili, doesn't matter. Today I got the Mother Clucker. A wonderful chicken sandwich with pickles, siracha, and cheddar cheese. Was not disappointed and will definitely get again. Service is quick and friendly too

I love me some chicken chunks and tater tots. The Highlander is an Atlanta institution for a reason. Super beer selection. Great bar food. Everybody feels welcome at The Highlander.

Good food, affordable, doesn't come across as the most inviting environment, sure they have regulars. Outdoor smoker seating. Positive for smokers negative for those who don't

Atlanta friend and I were at The Highlander on a Sunday night. We sat outside but had to contend with trivia night announcements while trying to converse. Other clientele outside may have been local/neighborhood hangers-on or street people with nothing better to do. Our Greek salad was nice enough.

Still the best chicken sandwich in town for over 35 years! Best bar food in Atlanta also. Wish you still had the Elvis porkchops though. Love that place!

Went for lunch on a Saturday. I'm new to Atlanta. It was such a relief from the crazy. The Bartender was awesome, relaxed, the place wasn't packed to the gills. The food came out perfect. People at the bar talked and had a good time. It was exactly what I needed for a Saturday lunch. A getaway with great bar food at a reasonable price and a relaxed environment. I'll be back.

I was completely surprised by the local customer service I received at this small mom and pop type bar. What you get is completely different than what you would expect by the causal nature of the bar and the array of tattoos and piercings. Of course it's a fairly casual bar and restaurant but the food was awesome(I had the mother Clucker) and the staff was naturally amazing. Great for the fellas or large parties, I've been coming here on and off for years when they had the all you can eat crab legs etc. Highly recommend this place. Darby was really cool

Yes, the drinks are stiff. Started with Cuervo and ended up on another tequila. Had a great time. Needed a night out after this long time inside...right. Played Golden Tee... anyone remember that one? Always loved this place. The food is great also. Try the chicken pot pie or beef stroganoff.

Waiter was drunk so it took forever for us to get our meal. He kept taking shots with a customer and totally forgot about the others. Service was shorty but the company we had made it good. Would only come back sparingly.

The menu is small due to the pandemic but the food was good and our waitress was nice. Black bean burger and potato skins were good.

Pastacheese sticks were a hit. Mother Clucker was a flop.....missing something...salad was good! Waitress was great!

I had an enjoyable experience at the Highlander. It kinda reminded me of Grinder’s back in Kansas City with their atmosphere and their beer selection. The food was amazing and it came surprisingly fast to the table. While trivia night was fun, I didn’t stay till the end of the game because my tiredness from the pretrip jitters the night before visiting Atlanta caught up with me.

😠 DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Terrible service! The server cannot remember what you ordered…it cannot be that hard to write it down. Friends waited for (Hennessy) drinks…at the same table for an hour and 15min. It took the bartender 3 tries….It took over an hour to get food even with a reservation. YOU CAN...
