I came here on a Monday afternoon looking for a good burger and was not disappointed! The service was very, very fast, and polite, and generous (the whole experience took no more than 27 minutes). The fries were better than good, and the burger was honestly one of the best I've tasted. I was pleasantly surprised as I took my first bite! After finishing a great meal, the entire experience was less than $10! I will definitely be coming here again. George's Bar & Restaurant is giving Yeah Burger down the street a serious run for their money.

Absolutely delicious! We ordered the black bean burger and the veggie burger because we couldn’t decide which vegetarian option to try, so we went with both. They were super tasty, the veggie burger was more mushroom forward. The black bean ended up being our favorite, however, as it had a bit of a spicy kick. The tots were also honestly some of the best I’ve ever had - perfectly crispy and light. The price was incredibly reasonable and the portions were generous too. We loved the little outdoor area out front. All of the staff we saw were wearing masks and being very covid safe. Overall, a wonderful experience and we will gladly return soon.

Staff is always awesome!!!! I go with my friends all the time! The fries are great! And if you go you have to get the mozzarella sticks; the cheese pull is out of this world.

This place has some very delicious cheeseburgers!!! It was full of flavor, kinda had those crispy edges, they cook it to your preference although I asked for medium well and it was well but that was okay. It wasnt dry at all. I liked the bread too, seemed like a wheat. Tator tots were just ok. Next time I'll try something else. Their drinks were kinda weak. I ordered the Georgia peach tea and a long island iced tea.

We had a delightful experience at George's. The mushroom and Swiss burger, along with the barbecue burger, were delicious. The service was good, and the atmosphere was perfect for an intimate night out with friends. Highly recommended!

Decent burger, fries and chili. Great service. Neighborhood tavern atmosphere, but very welcoming. We were in town for my husband's work. But if I was local, I'd return.

Rudest staff I've ever encountered in Georgia. Do not bother, brunette hostess has no class and zero idea what hospitality is all about. Was denied a seat at a four top because I was told there was a private party when three other tables outside were clearly not part of the party. Of course, two guys just sat down as I walked away. I'm also a regular which is even more outrageous. Place is a total dump inside anyways but you just gave me a reason to never come back.

Worn but loved neighborhood pub. I'm here a few times a month. My family has come here for many years and loves it. It's interior has seen better years but that seems to be part of its charm. The patio is nice The chili is hearty and a bit spicier than most. The wings are big and come with several flavors. I like the lemon pepper wings. The rest of the food is typical pub fare. My kid and wife like the burgers. The onion rings are big and my kid never finishes them. My wife usually gets the tots, which is also a generous portion. It's a comfortable neighborhood fixture with a enjoyable sidewalk patio. It's just ok by me but my wife takes me there anyway.

I went here to meet a friend for the first time and I loved it. The area is really walkable, and parking was not hard to find. You can park in front of homes as long as you aren't blocking driveways/fire hydrants or there aren't any signs mentioning otherwise. The vibes of the restaurant were casual and comfortable. Our server was really nice, she complimented my outfit. She helped me pick what I wanted and it was so good. The only thing I didn't like was how long our food took. We got there and ordered before the rush but we still waited about half an hour for food. Our server was super attentive during this time, even though she had many other tables to take care of.

Been going to this great, family-friendly burger bar for years now. Reliable quality and good service regardless of how busy they are.

Really, really good burgers. Had a mushroom swiss 1/4 lb burger (med. rare) w/ tots. Burger was cooked perfectly. Tots were super crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside - fantastic! Very attentive service.

Location A+. Beer, very cold. Food, drink first. Just kidding, the Turkey burger was fine and the french fries were hot and not over salted. I don't do red meat but there are plenty of other options. They used to have a fish sandwich but probably didn't sell well enough to keep it on the menu. I met George a long time ago. He called me to come look at the fireplace in his home.

George's has been and will continue to be a neighbor favorite for our family, but they are currently having a real problem with staffing. Last night was hopefully a one off... Perhaps the worst service we've ever had anywhere. Food was fine.... Just prepare for a very long wait and to be understanding of a staff in transition.

Came here on a Friday night a hr before closing and miraculously got food. My friend recommended getting a burger since I guess that’s what the establishment was known for. Our server was friendly, patient and knowledgable. I had trouble deciding on a burger. Upon recommendation between two difficult choices I went with the lamb burger with onion rings which were also recommended over the tater tots. Good draft of Guinness, perfect head and fresh from the tap. I asked for my burger to be bun less and most importantly medium since it’s lamb, it came closer to well done truly disappointing. I was afraid of asking them to make it again so I just ate it. This is not a Gastropub. They also brought it on two buns which I just didn’t eat. Good thing I only have a gluten sensitivity or else I would’ve had to order a salad. The onion rings were however delicious the batter was perfect and the sauce given with it was condiment nirvana. However after four large pieces I had to pace myself and stop eating the breading… 😕 I do have to maintain my figure. My friend had ordered a burger and tater tots and seemed happy with his food. I tried a few tater tots they were good too but onion rings are definitely better choice. Maybe I made a mistake in what I ordered as a burger? Overall I’d say this makes it into the Top 10 burger places in ATL but not the Top Five.

I would have left 5 stars, but I'm confused about something my waiter did. To his defense, I came to this bar to have appetizers while waiting on my friends to arrive at an oyster bar across the street. They were running late, so my girlfriend and I decided to have a small snack while waiting on them. I've waited tables before, and told my girlfriend I was going to leave a $10 trip since we were ordering such a small amount of food. When I asked for the check, the waiter brought it to me, but wrote FU at the top of the receipt. Maybe this is code for something, but I think he may have been saying FU to me. If this was innocent please clarify. I only left a $3 tip because of the FU at the top of the receipt. Burgers smelled good and I'd probably have come back to try them if this hadn't of happened. Ps I posted a picture of the receipt in question.

Where does one even begin! This is by far the BEST restaurant I’ve been to in my entire life. I was on vacation and we stumbled upon this restaurant one afternoon. The service and food was so great that we came back for the second time. The GM joe is such a kind hearted individual. We returned the second evening and he remembered us. Made sure everything met our satisfaction which it did tremendously. Patrick the operations manager is yet another great individual. He made sure all his guests were satisfied with their service and even also remembered us the second night. I have never done a review but if you’re ever in the area please check out the restaurant. To the host, chef and everyone else. Thank you for making this an unforgettable experience. May your business never lack anything.

How could you not love a low-key, divey bar with great burgers and the best onion rings on the planet? Oh yeah, and they have beer too.

This is one of my favorite bars in Atlanta. Tasty burgers, great beer and atmosphere. Personnel is very friendly and helpful. This is an old American-style bar founded in early 1960-ties. Visit ir when you’re on Virginia Highland, it does worth it!

A hidden neighborhood gem. The food doesn’t have any particularly unique twist. In fact the opposite, it’s exactly as described and priced at a bargain. If you are looking for just a good ole local pub, look no further.
