I’m giving them 3 starts because the customer service need A LOT of improvement, I walked in with a scarf wrapped around my face and asked if they could provide me with a mask since I didn’t have one. The general manager literally yelled at me “ Get out, get out, no mask no service!!” Even tho the had just opened and there were no other costumers inside (and only 3 sitting at the outside patio)I needed a mask to even order at the outside patio too. I’m a tourist trying to support a local business and I was not expecting to encounter hostility especially from a GM. But the waiter outside was great and the wings were yummy. Tell your Gm to take an anger management class or maybe give him more vacations he might be over worked . Ps: I bought a mask across the street and came back to try the wings.

The Local is 21+, so make sure you have your ID! We had a group of 4 people at 6:00 pm on a Saturday and were seated right away. Service was great! Here’s what we got: - Basket of 10 Wings ($14): WOW. I get the hype. We tried the Korean BBQ, Buffalo, and Korean Buffalo, all of which were great. I didn’t taste much of a difference between the Korean BBQ and Korean Buffalo though. The meat fell off the bone, it was so tender. But the outside had a good crispiness to it. These were the best wings I’ve ever had. - Half Order of Spicy Boiled Peanuts ($3): Tasty! - Basket of French Fries ($5): Delicious. Crunchy on the outside. - Basket of Tater Tots ($5): Amazing. Perfectly crunchy on the outside. 10 wings for $14 is a great deal, especially for how delicious they were. Also, well drinks are so cheap!! I got a whiskey coke for $5, with tax!! I can’t wait to go back.

Man I can't explain the food. 1st off the food was absolutely amazing . The okra is what caught my eyes and them smoked fried wings. Omg can you say so good hot fresh food. The waitress made sure I had the drink that suited me. The service was definitely exceptional. The cook was so friendly he came out and made sure the food he served was amazing for every item he served out. I will most definitely be visiting back out. Everyone was most definitely friendly and kept asking was we alright.

The wings here are the best I’ve ever had, without exaggeration. This is one of my favorite bars ever and I literally cried when I found out about the sale of the property. I literally don’t know how I’ll survive without these wings and I hope the owners will be able to find a new location and reopen soon.

The Local is a ~Five Star Establishment~. Get there at 6 oclock and get some wings. The new window ordering system is awesome and way better than the old way in my opinion. I would not come here with a larger group as the seating is hard to get. The wings and tots are amazing. I like lemon pepper dry rub and sun dried tomato bbq.

I was visiting from Pennsylvania and this was definitely the best karaoke bar my friends and I have ever been to! The drinks were amazing and the karaoke was great. So many songs to choose from. The vibes inside are chill and it’s decorated so cute inside!

Literally Had 6 different people all tell me that the wings here were the best in country. I won’t argue with that now that my hunger has been silenced. Thank you for the Epic Buffalo and Korean BBQ. Also, this place is right next to all the best tattoo and the beltline. Peaces

I come here for the service, vibe then food/drinks. Jeff and Erin are the bomb. I'm not a huge drinker so I get a Budweiser. Always cold. I love wings and sides. Request fries/tots to be crispy for better crunch. Okra is on point. Get it.

The smoked wings here are the best. They run out quick, so it’s best to get there earlier especially if you have a larger group. If they run out, the hot dogs are also fantastic. For sides I love the fried okra and tater tots.

By far the best wings in Atlanta, and that's a hill I'm willing to die on. The meat nearly falls off the bone. Their sauces and dry rubs are mouth-wateringly delicious. Literally all of their sides are perfect accompaniments to however you get your wings. The cocktails leave a little to be desired when it comes to flavor, but they pour heavy and quickly. Make sure you get there as soon as they open, though - they're almost always slammed, the parking's guaranteed to be full and I've seen them run out of wings as early as 6:30pm on a Thursday. Totally worth eating yourself into a wing food coma at 5pm.

First time here and was planning to get a burger but alas it's literally wings and hot dogs. So when in Rome we ordered wings which were delish and their chili cheese fries which were too good to be within walking distance to my house 😜. Drinks are CHEAP, especially for this area of town and they have a great beer menu. Will definitely be back!

Best wings ever. Smoky, crispy and perfect sauce ratio. Staff was friendly and attentive. Great low lit atmosphere indoors. Would recommend to both locals and those visiting Atlanta.

The wings are worth the hype. Crispy skin, but the meat still falls off the bone. Other wings spots are going to be a let down from now on The service was great there too Go early, they usually run out of wings In the first couple of hours

I enjoyed the karaoke. Kerp in mind, there's a $5 cover charge. Also, if you want to sing, get there early because everyone in the building is singing at least 2 songs. We didn't get to go up, but I still enjoyed watching the show!

Don't ask me why I'm from Atlanta and never been here. Just know that if you haven't been you need to hurry before they close this year! First time having wings that don't need ranch or blue cheese. Slide off the bone deliciousness!

There isn’t a ton of seating in this place, so if your group is larger than 4, try to arrive on the early side (5-6pm). If you’re a group of 4 or less you shouldn’t have to wait too long for a table. A pretty dark atmosphere with rock music makes for a cool experience. Good service and good food. Make sure you have your idea because you won’t get in without it.

Nice vibe but the drinks seemed watered down and especially for premium liquor, I couldn’t taste any alcohol and didn’t even have a half of a half, half buzz. The server was nice, but they stopped selling food around 11pm or 11:30pm. The weak drinks wasn’t worth the money at all. We left and went to this like underground place across the parking lot from here that had 2 different rooms and bars and it was lit 🔥 their drinks were delicious and you can definitely taste the liquor on the first sip and the vibe was awesome. I will update with the name of the place once I can remember it.

Some of the best wings you’ll ever find, I tried 3 different flavors (barbecue, sun dried tomato, Korean lemon pepper) and they where all pretty delicious but the Korean lemon pepper was by far my favorite good portions on the sides, service could have been better though.

Do you like wings? Then all you need to know is that you must go to The Local. This is a no frills dive bar with amazing food and solid prices on drinks. The wings are incredibly tender and the selection of flavors leaves nothing to be desired. There are also other great bar food items on the menu like loaded tots. I have never had anything bad here. make sure you get here as early as possible; they sell out of wings very quickly these days.

Spicy Korean wings were in the Mt. Rushmore of chicken wings I've had across this great nation. Fun dive bar feel and clientele without being sketchy. Most importantly I heard and then saw two Barred Owls in the parking lot which was a real treat.

Finally got to try the infamous delicious wings, and delicious they were. Korean lemon pepper was a good twist on lemon pepper wet. The boiled peanuts were very good, a bit salty. Loved the fried hotdog with French fries basket. Will definitely be back for wings. They were a little pricey at 10 for $16.

21+ only so have that ID ready. The local boasts good prices and even better wings. The fact that you can combo the sauces such as Korean buffalo or buffalo jerk is a novel and well received idea. The wings are always fall off the bone (literally even the trimmings) every single time I come here. Tater tots or fries are a great side item and the service is always on their game. Mind you it can be a bit slow though as they are usually packed out. Would reccomend to anyone coming to Atlanta.

The Local is officially my new obsession! This is the first bar I’ve been to since the pandemic began. No physical menus but no compromise on fun! The atmosphere was calm/chill. Much needed. We met some friends here and lost track of hours. The drinks were on point! From whiskey sours, amaretto sours, beer, shots and more we were grounded for a while. Lol. The food was quality and super affordable. The waitstaff was phenomenal! They swiftly collected glassware and replenished food regularly. The music made it a relaxing place to catch up with friends. I love this bar and can’t wait for my next visit! #ashsaidit

The wings are pretty good, not the best like everyone seems to rave about but they are good. The bartenders are awesome and the music playlist is pretty damn good too I heard Sonic Youth, The Pixies, Nirvana, and I think QOTSA. My only complaint is the pretentious vibes with the menu. Seems kinda ''cool kids''-ish with the sarcasm. It's kinda funny but not funny at the same time IMO. Although the wings were good they were not hot (temperature-wise) just mildly warm when I got them. Otherwise, it's a good spot. Oh and I had to dig out my wing sauce from underneath all my fries. Reasonable prices for beer and wings that was my main goal. Goal achieved.

Came for the wings and they did not disappoint! The Jamaican Jerk and Spicy Korean were great. Really good fried okra too! Definitely recommend.

Karaoke Carries this Bar I very much enjoyed Karaoke night and I understand why people come back. The unassuming atmosphere with a 'everyone's a friend' vibe makes this a great spot to bring your friends and enjoy a few drinks. With karaoke night, no food is served so be sure to eat beforehand. Also, my bill was 21.00 for beautifully mixed drinks. Was quite bummed there is no food served due to karaoke and I believe I understand why now since it's fairly busy but I was looking forward to eating Would visit again!

Awesome dive in the heart of Atlanta. The wings are phenomenal. Not only the quality - probably some of the best I’ve had from the chicken perspective - but also the sauce/rub selection. Got the Tika Masala and stole some Lemon Pepper and Jerk wings from the table. The Lemon Pepper were perfectly seasoned, not the type to instantly make you dehydrated or feel like your wings were dipped in the Dead Sea.

Seating can be tough sometimes, the place seems to fill up quick, and it’s because these wings are so fire!! Best wings I’ve had pretty much anywhere. Also very consistent in my experience.

Went for the first time with a group of 6 on a Thursday evening in January. Got seated quickly. Temperature was in the 30s but we sat outside in front of the heater and felt great. Service was excellent. Wings were the best I’ve had in a long time. We got 8 baskets of different flavor combinations and all were delicious. Korean buffalo and tomato rub + barbecue were the favorites. I will be coming back as often as possible.

Some of the best wings I've had. $12 for a basket of 10 or 5 and a side. With a variety of dry and wet sauces that you can go wrong with which is more than most places. You can also do combo sauces and/or rubs. They smoke the wings daily in certain amounts so when they are gone they are gone! If you're looking for wings where the meat falls right of the bone this is the place. They also have a decent beer list on tap and bottle or can. Some beers that you won't find at other places and specials on tap that are in rotation.

What's in a name? The Local defends its title as the bar for the people. Every Monday, a gladiatorial battle to initially sign up to sing, is followed by an equally arduous round robin of fantastic singers putting on shows rehearsed only moments before performance.

  • 4/5 Naim A. 2 years ago on Google
Very, very nice spot. Someone got my hopes up claiming "best wings in the city". I hope not, for Atlanta's sake. They were really good, but some flavors were just bad. Not gonna write which - go and find out.

Karaoke on Monday nights. That's it. That's the review. Because that's all you need to know Just kidding. Also a pretty good selection of draught beers and super friendly bar staff. But seriously...the karaoke.
