It's my first time experience. Enjoyed the band and the ambiance. The sweet potato fries and wings with homemade sauces were scrumptious, especially the Cajun sauce. Spike the bartender has a great personality and made great drinks. I would definitely recommend anyone to enjoy this establishment.

Great local intimate spot for live music. Good jam going on! Good beer choices, did not have food. Good service!

Great place for Blues music. The kitchen is closed, but they let you bring food in from other places. Decent bar where you can get mixed drinks, bottled and tap beer. Check their calendar for acts. The price at the door ranges from $5 to $15, depending on the night and performer. We went one Wed night and there was dancing, which seemed usual for Wed. Parking on the street, but there is a pay lot across the street that we typically use. Every seat is a good one, but it can get crowded on the weekends, so get there at least 15-30 mins before the start time to get choice seats. Servers are always nice, and you can run a tab. Enjoy!

BEST BLUES BAR EVER! Go early!!! I had dinner down the block at Thai spot finished at about 9 and walked to the bar.. It was packed, so go early if you want seating. The atmosphere and music was such a vibe. I can't wait to go back!

The band that played the live blues that night was great! Seemed the locals there knew each other pretty well because they were swapping dance partners all night & pretty much everyone there was dancing, which was great! They had a decent menu, considering it was a bar & my husband & I enjoyed the appetizers we got (Cajun wings & house chips). I like mixed, fruity drinks & ordered a Bahama Mama, which they said they couldn't make, so they gave me a substitute which was pretty good, but when I ordered a double on the second drink, I could barely taste any alcohol in it. The venue itself was a little rundown & could use a face-lift, & we had to move our table a bit because the AC was dripping on me. The cover charge was only $5/person to pay for the band & the price of the food & alcohol was fair. Overall, we had a great time & would definitely go back.

Amazing place, took my mom here to get her back to the community, to get her back to society and socializing. We definitely met alot people. Beautiful and great live music🎶, you can also get up and dance. The drinks are pretty strong so go head and uber or lyft there. The Waitress was amazing she worked the whole room with no problems, all by herself killed it! My mom had a blast and I had a blast, I'm 27 and my mom 62(this place is for all ages and all race)

We arrived in Atlanta for a Muy Thai competition, but stayed longer for the atmosphere. We didn't get to the establishment in time to eat but The Cazanovas are awesome! The music from the band absolutely matched the mood of the bar. The energy was positive and even though I was sitting next to strangers in the audience we are all focused on the music. I was honored to have witnessed this experience.

This is my favorite Atlanta location for live music. It is tiny, get here early if you want to have a seat. Also, their kitchen can be unexpectedly closed. Another reason to arrive early and dine at the fabulous Truva next door. Some of the bands, or leads, that play here aren't for everyone. I personally like the variety

I took my second & best hubby & a couple friends here & we danced, laughed, drank, danced some more! Had one of the best times in my life!! That's saying something considering I grew up in & around New Orleans! If we didn't live so far away, I'd drag him there every weekend!

No food served here, but you can bring your own. Drinks and live music! Small place but people found room to dance a bit. Many were standing because no seats. Drinks were great and so was the waitress.

Didn't have food but cannot say enough how much FUN this place was and how excellent the music was. I was only there for a couple of hours but it did not disappoint. It's a small hole in the wall but was exactly what I would have expected. Can't wait to go back and enjoy more music.

Blind Willie's is a staple here in Atlanta. They have good music and a great atmosphere. I didn't eat the food because I had already eaten. There's a parking lot and street parking options as well. I believe they all charge a fee, but I'm not positive about that. We paid ten dollars on Thursday night in the lot and a five dollar cover. I hadn't been here in many years, and I am glad I went! Thanks for a fun night Blind Willie's!

Great date night with my daughter. Excellent and entertaining music with friendly service. Casual and relaxed. You can dress in shorts or cocktail as anything goes. This 80 year old, New Orleans themed Blues Bar is great for all ages and people who appreciate Blues, talented musicians and looking for something to do in Virginia Highlands.

The music and atmosphere are great! Seating is the only issue. We didn’t eat so I can’t say anything about food.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD FOR A TAB! We have been patrons of Blind Willies for many years - always enjoyed the live music, and loved the environment. My husband and I went Sunday, 2/25/2023, which was the first time since the COVID shutdown. Against my better judgment, Hailey, the server, said she needed my credit card to run a tab. Sure, that's normal. What's not normal is that when I was ready to close my tab, Hailey said she had 'mistakenly' given my credit card to someone else and she still had theirs. I'm fuming because I, obviously, made a mistake and trusted her. We exchanged numbers in case the other people returned to get their card. I froze my card and the next afternoon, someone in Morrow, GA tried to get $100 on my card at the Sam's Club. Wouldn't it be interesting if Hailey lives in or near Morrow? Needless to say, I have not heard from her and cannot get anyone to answer the phone even when they are supposed to be open. Can't send an email either because there's a "glitch" on their website. It has left a very bad taste in my mouth. Other than that, the music was great but get there early because for the $20 cover charge, you will be standing up!

  • 2/5 Reneca D. 1 year ago on Google
The kitchen is closed, you have to purchase food from the restaurants next door. The place is extremely small, and they continue to let people inside the building. It is a $20 dollar coverage charge for standing room only. The band was pretty good, enjoyed how they interacted with the crowd. If you like little hole in the walls, this would be a great place.

I've reviewed this place before and it's hard to find something new to say so just to say that this place continues to be one of my favourite live music bars on the planet. Real music and real friendly folks...

I absolutely adore this place. Soulful music to sip a drink to and relax or dance. The band was amazing (Frankie's Blues mission) the crowd was wonderful as well. I will definitely be back anytime I'm in ATL.

  • 5/5 Elsa 1 year ago on Google
My first time there. They had blues, good prices on drinks and good amount of seating (though it was all taken by the time I got there). The door fee was cash only so keep that in mind, but the inside is card.

Blind Willie's is a small venue with a dance floor too close to the tables , tables too close together and a sound engineer that doesn't understand the facility. The only soft surface in the entire venue is the human body. There are to many tables. Customers have to stand and leave their table to let other people access their table. At 120 db above ambient the music was unpleasant . That's not to say that the band was bad but the volume to high to hear the color and quality of music being played. The food was typical bar quality fairly priced with reasonable serving size. The entry fee or cover charge while reasonable is cash only. The parking lot is the big cash cow. It's a scam if ever there was one. The lot is pay to park. Your phone is your meter. They boot the most expensive cars on the lot first time they police the lot. If you actually return before your legal expiration time you have to pay to expedite the removal of the inhibitor. When we provided evidence of legal parking they still want to be paid. They would except cash on arrival. They claim that we recorded our tag or telephone number incorrectly. Neither was true. They send text confirmation of legal parking and your required exit time. They claimed there was no record of payment or my phone number. This persisted until my legal time expired. Now they wanted late fees in addition to the removal fee. It's a hustle. Park at your own peril. Go, no go!!!! My advice is find another venue or park on the street. If you decide to go Take sound suppressors with you

Love this place! The live music is ways fantastic & keeps me coming g back! BTW usually a nominal cover charge like $10. Good variety of drinks. Typical pub fare food...I love the chicken wings.

This small hole-in-the-wall blues joint gets filled up fast, so it's hard to find a seat. But it's clean and the service is great! They have some of the best blues bands in the southeast. Cash only cover at the door.

  • 5/5 Stephen Y. 2 years ago on Google
What a great place! Incredible music, incredible service! Surprisingly, incredible food. We had red beans and rice, chicken wings and the best French fries I have ever had! JP soars rocks!!! The band opening for him was great also. I cannot remember the name of band. Can the owner help me out with their name?

  • 5/5 Erik H. 4 years ago on Google
Amazing place!!! Good finger food, had the potato chips with bleu cheese. Great blues. The band "The Shadows" are superb and Miss Sandra Hall was phenomenal. I was the lucky recipient to go onstage with her as she did her set, which was completely out of my comfort zone but it was such a great time. My girlfriend had a great time watching it as well!!! I will definitely go back and I highly recommend it!!!

The music was awesome. It was a band from Germany but the music was blues. Quiet place to listen to live music without the drama of standing in line forever. Get there early, the sits fill up fast. Great date night spot.

  • 4/5 Egged O. 8 months ago on Google
This is a wonderful place. Expert dancers come to the show to hand dance with each other. Very classy, not a hoochie bar or strip club vibe. Excellent blues music and atmosphere. Great for a date. There was no food that night.

  • 4/5 Jeff R. 8 months ago on Google
Loved my time there...had to deduct a star due to them not serving any type of food. I understand the kitchen being closed but still I still have to take a star away....at least they allow you to bring food from the outside in... .with that being said GO AND SUPPORT THIS SPOT!!! Great vibe and entertainment. We will return.

  • 5/5 Carl L. 9 months ago on Google
The service is excellent and the atmosphere is very chill and relaxing. The bands will keep you entertained and they even come down and interact with the crowd. Unfortunately the day i went the kitchen was closed but you could bring your food from the out side to eat. I definitely recommend this bar for awesome live and relaxing day.

Horrible food but decent drinks and good live performance. I had the jambalaya that was noting more than whole peeled tomatoes with rice. It was the absolute worst and i was tipsey at the time of consuming it. Don't waste money on the seasonless food.

I had a horrible experience. The bartender Jimmy asked us to step outside several times due to closing. The bar closes at 2 am, but was kicked out around 12:30. Keep in mind there were 3 other people still next to the bar. Horrible customer service skills. I do not recommend going to this place.

This is a super cool place for some quality, local music. It felt very comfortable and authentic, and the bar has character. The staff was friendly as well. We went on a quiet night so seating wasn't a problem. There is a cover each night which was completely fair for the entertainment value. Will definitely go back.
