I normally don’t write reviews but… This restaurant keeps their customers waiting for 2 hours to get food. They forgot to put the ticket in. Our waitress kept telling us that our food would be right out knowing it was not. We came in at 9 and we didn’t get our food until after 11:00 pm! A lot of people were walking out and people who came in after us were eating while we sat there hungry. I can tell by the responses to the comments that our complaints won’t matter ❤️ It took them 45 minutes from the time we sat down to take our food order. Trust me, we won’t be going back. The DJ was good. If it weren’t for him, we would have left-And I did not ask for anything for free, we all expected more of a discount. I never said I wanted anything for free, Ma’am. We did not ask to be pumped with liquor, we only wanted our food. We gave most of the pitchers away for free to the tables next to us. I asked you to step to the side because the music was way too loud. Those were my family members and we were there to celebrate my husbands birthday. It was ruined. Thank you and thank you for responding.

Worst bar experience for me. Food was not good (ordered chicken n red velvet waffles), waiter must have been new or his first day, and the atmosphere was just average. I feel bad that I have to give them such a low rating, but it's true. On the flip side, the drinks are great and strong, happened to have a random conversation with the bartender as she walked past our table and she was very nice and knowledgeable. She gave me better customer service than my waiter, and she wasn't even getting paid for it....

My fiancé and I have been regulars at the pub for years now. We have met there countless times before we even started dating, during dating, and now being engaged. Before the bar rescue and before a Publix was built behind it. The pub is hit or miss really depending on what shift is working at the time. We have experienced long waits (hour plus) for food, poor service, and still repeatedly go back due to the pub being the only place near the house with a bar (drinks are ok) and food (literally never know if the food will be good or not just hope for the best) if you don’t feel like driving to camp creek. It takes servers 30-40 minutes at times just to bring a beer from the bar. This past Friday (11/18/22) was the worst experience we have ever had at the pub. We came with friends after leaving a birthday celebration, we arrived at 11:15 pm and did not get our food until almost 1 am. Some people with us became so frustrated with the terrible service they just left (embarrassing). Other full tables around us hadn’t received food either, people started walking out, taking frustrations out on undeserving servers, and it became an uncomfortable environment. When the food finally came it was cold and the orders were wrong. (A chicken Philly with NO CHEESE..like is the cook high? cold fries with the other orders) the server was trying her best but clearly I see why they never keep any of their good waitresses. Until another place opens nearby this place won’t change, as you can see the owner saying thank you under such terrible feedback from customers should tell you that she is comfortable because she knows she has a monopoly on a prominent black area of southwest Atlanta. It’s sad that we have to go outside of our community to receive good service. Only leaving this review here because my comment was ERASED from their Instagram instead of addressed. Extremely disappointed in what we always called our spot, a place we have spent thousands, in how they treated us. Bar rescue can’t fix professionalism or simply doing the right thing to those who have patronized this business for years. If your considering going to this place, don’t. Just go to Harold’s in camp creek.

Any suggestions on what to order from this place because it's not wings smh this is my second time ordering wings to go. The first time, they were hard and extra crispy so this time I specifically asked for them wet!! I figured if I said wet it wouldn't be so damn crispy! Still hard, crispy and some wings don't even have sauce on them smh simple instructions! $50 wasted! They don't even look good. I wish I would've picked it up myself. I'll go to a wing spot next time.

This used to be me and my husband go to spot to come to after work when we first started dating. Drinks are great. I see they have made some updates as far as adding new booths, paint , wallpaper and tables. Food wise, Is a big disappointment. No effort at all put into the food. I would compare it to food that you would get from a concession stand at a high school basketball game. The turkeys burger is pretty good. Nachos are a big no no! Wings are decent.

I recently visited Sand Town Pud, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. My companions and I had to wait for an excessively long time, a staggering 1 hour and 30 minutes, to receive our food order. It was disheartening to witness people who arrived after us being served and leaving before we even got our meals. Seeking to address the issue, we politely asked to speak with a manager, but to our dismay, we were met with hostility instead of understanding. The lack of professionalism in handling our concern only added to our disappointment. I usually don't complain about such matters, but the service at this establishment was far from satisfactory. The long wait and poor attitude from the staff made the experience less than enjoyable. As a result, I regretfully recommend against visiting Sand Town Pud. I hope the management takes this feedback constructively and works to improve their service, so others don't encounter a similar unpleasant experience in the future.

I should have known what to expect when we walked in and the house dj was laying his head down on the table. The wings were mediocre at best, there's a forced 20% gratuity added to bills over a certain amount and it took forever to get served. More than two people and a la cart options, you're getting hit with that 20%. It has potential but I probably won't be back to see it. Oh, the soul rolls are very tasty...greasy, but tasty.

Went in to watch the 49ers vs Cowboys game and was sitting there for God knows how long and a waitress finally came to us and apologized for it taking so long and said there was confusion as she is off the clock and the other waitress thought that she took our order. So fine, ok, but the other waitress never came to us to take our order and we were still waiting a long time. When I looked over, the waitresses were just talking so it was obvious that they didn't want to serve us, the only two non-black people there. Left and now spending money at Hooters. So much for supporting local small businesses. Never going back!

Went for brunch. Service was ok. Need to clean off tables and floors. Food was subpar. Bacon low-grade and cooked poorly. My husband's eggs were cooked in bacon grease. Ok for Grandma's but not a restaurant. Grits were absolutely horrible, bland, and overcooked. Was expecting bacon to be in omelet. Eggs were not cooked thoroughly, still was runny. Omelet would have been the best part of meal if it were cooked thoroughly.

May have been the worst restaurant experience I’ve had since living in Atlanta… music way to loud, waitress way to rude, service takes way to long… and then the food after 1 1/2 hours comes out Luke warm… Never again… shameful (Why do we always have to do this with our local black businesses 😩

I really want to give my neighborhood pub a 4 or 5-star rating, but I have to write an honest review. You’re best bet is to order takeout (if you’re lucky enough to get them to answer the phone). The dine-in wait for food and drink is ridiculous, even when it’s not crowded. I’ve given them multiple chances, going on weekday evenings and on weekends. Always the same. A 2-hr avg. wait for food (and I’m serious). I’m bummed because I’d much rather keep it in the community and patronize my own. But I expect at least mediocre service. Do better Sandtown Pub!

The service here has gone downhill tremendously. We have gone there quite regularly and the service is consistently bad. It seems that post the Corona shutdown, the staff there doesn’t want to be there. The waitresses don’t come to your table. You get better service if you sit at the bar. I really wish they would get it together. It’s a great local spot.

Here on a Fri evening about 8:30pm. About 50 people inside, all locals. DJ has sound up as if the crowd size was 10 times. Few inside as in my group of 10 are able to converse. WE have to learn that all our social establishments don't have to be club like. Especially local crowd establishments.!!

Came after seeing bar rescue and the daughter of the owner was in. It was a busy time there were quite a few events but very hospitable and not a long wait for anything. Food to perfection. Love the place

I am so disgusted with this restaurant. There was a roach in my food!!! The manager simply called it a “water bug”. I asked to speak to the owner and of course she was unavailable. I would NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy!!!!!!

Very underwhelming experience. 1. They called himself a “pub”. A pub is a bar that specialize in selling beer. (This establishment doesn’t even have a tap machine.) 2. The food is pretty basic. Nothing unique to the menu. It taste as if they just buy frozen food from the nearby, Publix and air fry it. 3. The staff is pretty friendly, but it’s obvious that management and the owners don’t know too much about the restaurant/bar industry as shown in the show bar rescue.

Food is good. Service is super slow. The last time I ordered food, employees were standing around talking while the kitchen was behind. I was told my order would be ready for pick-up in 15 minutes, it took 40 additional minutes. Ridiculous!

I wanted to read the other reviews I wasn’t really going to do a review but I’m just really confused by the reviews I read.I went last night after work so it wasn’t super crowded so that May have been why I received great service in my opinion.I asked my waitress for a recommendation and she said she had the catfish and it was good to me&the other waitresses even asked if we were ok and there was a lady I believe was probably the manager even came by and checked on me and the dj played good music so again I’ve only been there once but I enjoyed my total experience and plan to go tonight a little later and more clean see the atmosphere and the vibe.

The customer service was great but the food was terrible. Me and two others ordered from here and they are super nice but the food is not something I would come back for. There also were chunks of the skillet or pot in our food. I started crunching on the eggs and realized something was not right. Its like they scraped the pot in the eggs and waffles.

Called in a order at 938 they said it would be ready in 20 mins. An hour later while waiting in line, I get to the register and my order isn't ready but I had to ask about my food because they started talking to and serving customers behind me.

This was my first and LAST time at this restaurant. Initially I wanted chicken nachos, I was told they were out of chicken tenders so I settled for shirmp. My friend ordered a turkey burger and onion rings, on which THEY WERE OUT OF ONION RINGS! This was on a Tuesday around 6pm, why are you out of food? There is literally a grocery store in the same parking lot. I even asked if we could be discounted for then not having items we Initially requested, we were just told NO. The nachos were nasty, I literally took 3 bites and left there. The waitress came to the table twice and we literally had to find her everytime we wanted something. I rate my experience a 3 since my friend said the turkey burger and Long Island was good, once the bill came we both agreed it was not worth it and we will not be back.

BEST wings in town! Always come here for wings and Incredible Hulk. Not the best looking place, but worth a bite. However, placing an order online or over the phone is HELL. It’s never ready on time and they’ve forgotten to put in my order multiple times.

Although the wings were generally okay. I have a problem with their sketchy business practices. The fact that they would charge 33% ($5) more for all flats/all drums but proceed to give normal orders with all drumsticks is absurd. When ordering wings you expect a mix of both drums and flats but this business is trying to over capitalize on the flat only crowd. 10/10 wings were drums.

I stay near so I come here often. Most recently When I went I ordered Jack Daniels (it’s $10 when I usually order) but the other day I went I asked for Jack while waiting on my Togo order of wings, so the lightskin bar guy rang up Jameson for $12 and gave me my check. I said “I asked for Jack” he said “it’s the same thing.” No. It’s not the same. Jameson is an Irish whiskey and Jack is Tennessee whiskey. Jack is $10 and Jameson is $12, that’s not the same. Tabitha and another girl are usually working the bar and do a good job. I came on Karaoke night a few weeks ago and that was fun. The wings r okay..but not always fresh.. And They don’t measure the liquor. They give “1oz” but they eyeball it instead of truly measuring (I prefer measuring) and add lots of ice. Ice is ok bc I use it as my chaser. But If you’re going to charge premium prices for 1oz drinks at least measure the liquor 🥃Overall, it’s a chill neighborhood pub I frequent after work, on the way home.

I frequent this local gem in our community often for lunch. Found out a couple weeks ago that they have started Karaoke and wing and drink specials on Wednesdays. My girlfriends and I enjoyed it! Neighborhood joint, sports bar atmosphere, catfish bites are good. Drinks more $$ than they should be, but that's pretty much everywhere in Atlanta. Waitress was great.

  • 4/5 E T. 8 months ago on Google
The neighborhood bar is just that for the neighbors. It is small and trying to hold large events here is not the place. They didn't have enough wait staff. The computer system went down and they were taking cash only. It took 45 mins to an hour wait for our food. The wings however, were delicious. They were not those Itty bitty wings but good size juicy wings. The drinks were ok and expensive but who can go wrong with a beer. Oh they didn't have a large selection of various beer, so that's the bad part. The dj was jamming. It's a cool spot to hang out on a day when there is no event. I would go back just to see how the wait staff is then.

This has to be a front business. Horrible and extremely slow service. Ok food but desserts are usually week old, and usually out of several brands of alcohol. How is this place still in existence? Hire some people and stop making excuses for service. Could be a profitable business with the right management but obviously that’s not the objective here.

I can say, the only reason I came to this establishment was due to me watching Bar Rescue. I seen the twin brothers on there Darrly and Derrick and I just had to make my way up there. I introduced myself to one of them in the morning I think his name was Derrick if I’m not mistaken; but he’s a pretty cool guy, nothing like what was portrayed on TV. He made both my husband & I food, which came out freaking AMAZING! He also mentioned to us that his twin brother Darryl Works evenings so we’ll definitely be making our way back there to meet him as well. But one thing I do know is, I’ll only be going back when Derrick is in the kitchen because if one of the brothers is back there throwing down in the morning, I can only imagine what Darryl food taste like!! Can’t wait! 😊

The service is simply put, bad! I have tried this place three times, each time the service has gotten slower and slower even with two to three waitresses. They are forgetful, rude and act as if you are bother. I tried multiple times but I just can’t patronize poor service or risk eating under cooked and oversized chicken! I really hope service improves and they could stand to turn the music down! Honestly I should not have returned after the first time in January when my waitress was so drunk, but I dismissed it as a one off! If you are going to drink at work, be able to function still! Know your limits, I sincerely hope things turn around!

DEC 2019 REVIEW Randomly went in here to get some food on my lunch break, first time trying it out like about two weeks ago and the food is amazing. I always order the honey bbq wings and fries lunch special along with this drink that the bartender makes special for me. BTW, i don't know her name, I just know that she is a sweetheart and provides excellent customer service. mon - fri, the waitress and bartender in the morning/afternoon shift are very nice. I will continue to come here for my wings. They are so good! Music always popping! See photo attached.

I asked for a full refund. They were unbelievable tonight. No sense of urgency. It was empty and I see why. It took over 40 minutes for a take- out, the wings were very small and overcooked. I am like these are not the regular wings. He replied they are now. No sir....I waited almost an hour for wings that's 2 inches tall. That's not how you do business. You can't provide anything and except people to pay.

Food was ok. My friends wings we big but he wasn't impressed by the sauce. My burger was also big and relatively good. When I bit into my burger I found two hidden toothpicks. They were short of somethings early and the system went down so we couldn't pay for an hour. I think Covid has greatly effected their way of service so hopefully my experience was a fluke.

I thought they retrained the staff here after John Taffer rescued this place. The music and TV are always too loud. The staff is still untrained. The bar tenders are inconsistent and don't know the basics of bartenders. The owners need to start paying attention before this place loses enough money and go completely out if business. I keep giving this place the benefit of doubt.

I like this place, but the service is entirely too slow, please if you can hire more people!!! Too many places in Atlanta to go to for slow to no service to occur, I was told to wait by the bar tender after waiting 25 minutes at the table for no waitress, then I stood at the bar for what felt like 30 minutes if it wasn't for a friend's birthday party I would have left. I've been here before that's why I gave 4 stars. Black owned businesses is where I like to spend my money but things like this makes it hard.

With everything going on I try to shop in the black community. Unfortunately we don't display the customer service etiquette. Called in an order for 50 wings and the service sent me to American Deli. It was like night and day in placing my order. Smh...let's do better.
