Amazing place and food. I totally like their concept of having different chefs there creating their daily dishes and food you can just choose from when they coming by your table. So it never gets boring going there are from what I've tasted, the food is soooo good. We also had some cocktails, also very very good. I liked everything we had but my favourites were the octopus, bear tartar, mushrooms and ravioli. Reservation is highly recommend and if I am the next time in the city, I definitely try to go there again

This is the funnest dining experience I’ve ever had. I love that you can see right into the kitchen and that the chefs describe the dish to you as they come out. The rotating menu keeps things exciting and there’s always something on the menu that I haven’t had before, or even thought about.

Stunning food and a great experience - fully deserves its reputation. We were a little cautious about the concept at first: worried that by turning down some dishes we'd miss out, but it ends up being very intuitive in the end. The chefs and staff deeply care about the dining experience and as a result you have a great time. We especially loved the goat and the dessert! Went for my birthday and they made me feel like a star.

Before our visit to Atlanta, I checked their online platform for reservations a thousand times, but unfortunately no results. We were so disappointed since we are fans of Chef Kevin Gillespie. My husband called and the staff told us there was a group of two people who canceled at the last minute. Therefore, we were so lucky to get a reservation to enjoy the fun & unique dining experience from Gunshow. They serve 10-course Prie Fixe menu for $99 and will adjust the menu by season & available ingredients of that day. Everything was amazingly delicious and delicate with full of surprise & inspiration of different cultures. Our favorite entree was the short ribs, it was tender, braised soft and melted in our mouths. The desserts were also wonderful, especially their signature Banana Pudding, which was creamy with multiple texture. Their cocktail was also great and worth a try with additional charge of $12 for most selections.

Fantastic experience! Interesting concept, where you are served all plates from the menu and you can pick the ones you like. Something like an American Dim Sum. Food was delicious! And cocktails are good. Recommend to try the corn dogs 👌

Fantastic experience! We sat outside and instead of the dim sum style offerings you get inside, we got to choose from a smaller a la carte selection. Still delicious! We were well looked after and the cocktails were amazing as always. Definitely get the Banana Pudding!!!

The re-opened Gunshow is a skip. The service style has changed to a prix fixe menu I'm assuming for perfectly valid health concerns. However, with the elevated price, there just isn't an elevated experience compared to the old Gunshow. The dishes were competently constructed and tasted good, but were completely unmemorable. There weren't any particular standouts that I feel I would recall months or even weeks from now. For the price point, there were no premium ingredients used in any of the dishes as well. Maybe in a world were choices are less than normal, the pricing is fair, but this offering definitely would not be competitive if you are coming in with the mindset from when all restaurants were open. I left the restaurant slightly disappointed.

One of the worst meals we have ever had in our lives. The food is less than mediocre at best. The first course was the chicken liver mouse which was fantastic, but then we were hit with course after course of the most mediocre food and drink experience we have ever had in a restaurant. The servers were great and ambiance was nice, but do not expect a decent tasting meal. The worst was the tamale. 100% do not recommend.

My wife and I enjoyed our experience and meal overall. It was a good evening. That said, there were definitely some missteps with a couple of the dishes we had. I won't go into detail as those dishes might not even be an option when others visit. The dim sum concept here is very fun and unique. It's not a usual dining experience. I would definitely recommend coming here to eat. It's a very unique experience and I'm sure you'll find some dishes you like!

Gunshow by far one of the best places to eat to Atlanta from The atmosphere, the rotating menu and overall experience. You sit in a community style table setting where the chefs come up to you with their prepared dishes off of the that nights menu, you get to see it, smell it, and get to hear about how they prepared that dish before you either say yes or no to having it. It’s a creative of scale version of a dim sum . It’s ideal to go with a group of four so you could share all the items on the menu. Their drink selection is amazing and they even have a barcart that goes to your table and prepare it in front of you. 11 out of 10.

Talent is within the walls of this restaurant. Each dish was prepared with a great depth of knowledge of flavors and there was respect for each ingredient as it went into creating these dishes. The top 3 dishes of the night were... 1. The Pork Wellington 2. The Chicken Liver Mousse 3. Tie between the Black Cod and the Duck Pressé. ( I preferred the duck and my husband preferred the Black Cod) For dessert, we really enjoyed the Cheddar and Apple hand pie with french fry ice cream. French fries were literally in the ice cream. The drink of the night was The Sea Witch. I didn't want to have any other cocktails because this drink was so unique and delicious. Loved our experience and this really was an excellent New Year's celebration.

Come hungry or bring bag of will 🫣 cool dim sum concept with modern American dishes. Chefs will bring out dish, show it to you and you can take it or leave it. Each dish is sharable by two, potentially more. Came in determined just to try and share 4 but… plates look like art and delicious. So ended up trying more. And don’t forget to save place for dessert. If first time, get banana pudding. Cocktails are nice and different, since selection is limited.

If I could give Gunshow more than five stars, I would. Dining here is probably one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. First off, you don’t need to be super formal for the occasion. It’s high-end, but not with the normal pressures of “fine dining.” That said, I’m not trying to sound over-the-top, but it truly is more than just dinner. The staff all working like a well oiled machine. Plates of fancy food appearing at just the right moments in front of you. It’s a whole performance. There’s nowhere else I can imagine hearing Cardi B and eating the most imaginative dishes I’ve ever eaten. Oh! Also, they took into consideration that I’m sober, and made sure to tailor my experience with that in mind. Such an uncommon thing, but it was wonderful. Truly something special. You’ve gotta check it out if you’re in Atlanta. You won’t be disappointed.

A chaotic-good orchestral dining experience. Come here with a group of +4 people and try every dish. Also, order your first drink from the bar cart for a show. Remember, the person cooking the dish is also the person delivering the dish to you, so be sure to thank them and ask em a question or two. The Fluke Fish and Chips was my favorite followed closely by the Oxtail Donut. Yeah, I said an “Oxtail Donut”. After all the courses and rich foods we were all ready to take a nap and the Muscadine Sorbet woke us up immediately. Don’t forget to get rowdy.

I had Gunshow on my list for a long time. I brought my family to experience it for the Memorial Day weekend. Interesting concept, flavors were bold, everything seemed okay, didn’t wow us. Flash forward to later that night, I’ve experienced the worst food poisoning I’ve had in years. Maybe I’m extremely unlucky, but I can’t provide a favorable review based on the side effects of my visit. On a positive note, they change the menu up frequently, so it’s possible this was a one-off. Very disappointing

This is a cool concept and a high priced “experience “ but not at all worth $250 (pre-tip). Everyone was courteous and really passionate about their culinary dishes and they accommodate my dietary restrictions but the best part was the music and the desserts. My guest and I did not even car for the drinks which can not be modified . For the price, I want to be WOWED and full. If you are wondering how to dress, casual!

Gunshow was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The service was warm, friendly and fun. The food was innovative and delicious. I love the dim sum style program. The chefs come around with the dishes they’ve created, show them while describing what they’ve created, and you choose if you want the dish, and how many. (Tip: if you love a dish, get multiples while you can. Often they sell out and move on to the next dish.) The drink program was limited, but creative and unique. I loved the Toasted Old Fashioned. We celebrated a birthday that night, and a good time was had by all. I can’t wait to go back and try the new creations.

The food was delicious. You come here for the food experience and that is what you get. There are items that are served that must be eaten together or the flavors get lost. Our server was wonderful. If you are looking for a quick low cost meal this is not your spot. If you are looking for a food experience and an opportunity to taste items that you may normally not eat then this is an amazing place to visit.

Does not worth the hype... there were so many different ingredients in the plate that it was hard to understand what the dish was about. The feeling from everyone in our table was that the plate was just trying too hard but getting nowhere. Also, there is no logic on the plate order making hard to really appreciate the flavors (a scallop being served after chicken liver for example). The music is too loud so if your party is bigger than 4 people you might have a hard time to interact.

  • 5/5 Courtney L. 7 months ago on Google • 91 reviews
This place is amazing! Ideally go with at least a party of 4, because they bring you about 7 meticulously crafted, gorgeous, delicious plates. Each serves 2 and you say yes or no, and then they bring the next. It's nice to have a slightly larger party because you will want to try everything! I love that the menu constantly changes to feature what is fresh and in season, and some of their dishes are a bit edgy. We had a "to die for" antelope loin with truffle mole sauce. I cannot recommend them more highly. I would eat here every week if I could.

We (group of 4) dined at Gunshow after high praise and recommendations from locals. The concept of this restaurant is very cool. It’s basically tapas, presented in a new fashion. There is clearly a demographic the restaurant is targeting; the staff is hip, younger, eclectic, and attentively aloof. It’s a foodie spot for sure. If you’ve read any other reviews you’re familiar with the concept. The restaurant is quite loud and crowded, with a controlled chaos vibe, which adds to the ambiance, if you’re looking for that type of dining experience. If you’re looking for a well paced meal in a quiet atmosphere this is not the place for you. If you want to try different dishes and window-shop your dinner, this is a unique experience; you should give it a shot. I appreciate the opportunity for young chefs to tryout new dishes. The portions are small, but that’s the point. Again, if you think of it as tapas you won’t be disappointed. We tried the Cuban Pate (our favorite), the humus, the beef bulgogi, crab salad, chicken with zucchini, beef cheeks, and the crawfish (a uniquely plated experience). The flavors were all great and well plated. The cocktail list was creative and tasty. Desserts were a little lack luster (but for context I am a pastry chef). Not a fan of the warm banana pudding - it was a very strange texture explosion of sludge and slime. I would recommend Gunshow for its unique and energetic take on dining. Would I go again…probably.

This was a great experience for our party of 5. Definitely the most fun i’ve had when dining. I would definitely go back. Our party size was perfect because we were able to try everything on the menu and split the cost evenly. They are really good at seating you at your reservation time.

Service is five stars. Atmosphere five stars. I really can’t say enough kind things about everyone working there. Chefs, staff, hosts. Exceptional. I wanted to love the food and I wanted to love the drinks. Overall 4 stars. Trout dish was outstanding. Clams were even better and I don’t normally love clams. Banana cream pudding, oooooof so good. Im not gonna go super specific. I want to mention that our waitress comped one of the dishes my party and I all particularly disliked. Overall from dishes to cocktails thing were not super balanced. Either over salted, or too sharp, or just too much of one ingredient that overpowered everything. All this being said I would come back. Pricing was fair for the experience and I love a business trying new things. Count me in for the next gun show!

Pretty cool experience. Basically a DimSun concept so all small plates to share. The chefs come to you basically with everything on the menu and you give a yes or no...then a one or two...or however many dishes you wish. I sat down wishing that the menu was larger but then quickly realized that would take all night and it would be hard for the restaurant to turn tables. I do think that the chefs were a little overwhelmed cause at two points it took a little longer for them to bring the next dish...like one of the Managers even came over and looked at our menu to figure out what we had not been served. All in all it was a cool experience. The only thing I think I did not like during covid is that the chefs are carrying the dishes around fully open and they may offer the dish to another table first...so they may have literally placed the dish in front of other customers and those customers say no then they pick up that dish from in front of unmasked breathing customers and take to another table...dish still uncovered. Again any other time when not during COVID that would be noticeable to me just because but it's their concept so other than mayb covering the dishes with a see through cover (which I have seen at a restaurant...you can still see everything but protects the food while being transported) I guess not much else. But when I say I love the team effort of the wait staff and other staff they all help which makes you feel great about the actual service. From my understanding the menu changes not sure how often but my fav dish this night was the Clam Etouffe and my Hubs loved the Ox Tail dish. The service from the staff definitely takes this to a 4 rating. That means a lot in a world of lack of customer service almost everywhere you go. And again cool concept. Bill adds up fast though which is great for the restaurant. Just be prepared to spend $120 - $200 easily and we were a party of 2.

This was a great experience! I would not take anyone here that is a picky eater though as the menu changes regularly. There may not be something on the menu that evening that they like. You're not getting chicken fingers or a well done burger here. Our whole experience was great from being greeted as we walked in until we left. We really felt welcome. The food is outstanding and you can see the chefs take pride in all the dishes. I enjoyed having the chef that created the dishes come out and explain what we were going to have if we chose the dish. Don't feel bad if you don't want a certain dish though, as there will be another right behind it. However, if you like to try different things, this is the place to experiment. Each entree is good for two people to share. Although there were a couple of plates where we each had our own because they were so good. The service was excellent. We never felt rushed or wanting for anything. The cocktails are delicious and I recommend getting one from the strolling bar cart when you are seated just for the show. FYI for those sensitive to noise that it can get a little loud in the restaurant, but it completely goes with the energy. It took us about 90 minutes to get through our meal so keep the timing in mind. This isn't an experience you want to rush through. Highly recommended.

Gunshow has consistently been a favorite restaurant of mine in Atlanta since they opened. Kevin Gillespie's willingness to take a leap with a unique concept (that has yet to be replicated) while Atlanta's food scene was still quite young was bold and beautiful. Its difficult to talk about the menu because it constantly rotates (aside from a dessert on the menu). However the amount of talent behind the line speaks for itself. To me, Gunshow's roster represents a handful of individuals that have put in the blood and sweat, and have their fair share of scars and stories. They have the passion and experience, and they are steps away from an executive role or their own concept. So go with an open mind. Some portions are quality over quantity. Others can be difficult to share. (If you're looking for a paced out meal of appetizers, entrees, and dessert, might I suggest you look elsewhere. Some of my best food memories and bites have been at Gunshow. Embrace the flavors and savor the moments, because it could be your one and only chance.

Given the hype and the cost, I was a bit dissappointed in some parts of the experience. The service is top notch and I was happy to learn they split tips equally front and back of house (terms which mean little here). We tried 6 of 10 or 11 courses, plus 1 of the 3 desserts. Some were amazing (lamb, fried bison foie, etc.) and some were all presentation and less substance (shrimp). The duck bao was burnt and bland. These latter two I wouldn't get again, but the other 5 were solid. Street parking nearby. Standard dinner experience takes 2 hours and you'll spend 50-75 per person plus drinks, plus tips ($14 cocktails - the mezcal one was amazing).

I'm a big fan of Kevin Gillespie. I love all the flavorful restaurants of Atlanta. We've been excited to try Gunshow for years. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed. The service was 110% awesome, but the food was disappointing. There were various flavors among the dishes, but each flavor was really bland and not exciting. All of the food was served lukewarm or room temperature and at the end the Banana Pudding was runny, which is a petty issue but it was really cold in there and we were hoping to warm up with hot food in our bellies. I hate this was our experience, but I want to be honest so others can know what to expect or so that the chefs can crank it up and be bolder. Maybe we went on a bad night(Friday before Thanksgiving). Our expectations were high and I think this restaurant should be meeting that standard at $99 per person.

Gunshow is a super fun dinner. It’s Tapas style, so expect small plates and a fair amount of diversity. The style of bringing the dishes to each table of a revolving basis is very fun: servers bring the dish to the table and explain what is in the dish and then you/your table decide how many of those dishes you want, and they are dropped at the table right there. Expect very fast service, as at some points the dishes can come at you very rapidly. We had a table of 5, and found that any more people, and we probably would have had troubles getting the proportions of each dish right. The cocktails are very unique and well done, but for the most part, they are batch-made. Throughout the night there is a “mobile” bartender that makes some of those same drinks fresh and in front of you. All in all, Gunshow is such a fun and open atmosphere. The staff is wonderful - friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive. The food is good and has some unique twists throughout the course of the meal. Definitely worth eating here whether on a date, with friends, or with family!

Reviewing on behalf of my husband’s visit, as I didn’t go. I’m a very picky eater with many dietary restrictions so this is not a place for me. The menu changes every week, so you never know what you will get. Overall my husband and friend enjoyed their experience. It’s small portions. Tapas styles. Suggest ordering family style so you can try out various dishes. Their favorite was surprisingly beef tartar. Most dishes were good. Some okay. They couldn’t stand one of the dishes (beet, radicchio, morcilla). The liver was also not a hit. The desserts were incredible - banana pudding and macadamia/ white chocolate / coffee. The menu is not super descriptive which makes you rely on the chefs explaining the dishes. As for the vibe, it’s very eclectic. It feels like a bit cafeteria, which is an odd pairing with the high priced tapas dishes.

Spectacular. Lots of fascinating combinations. Unexpected twists and turns. Table side presentation was lovely and only weird on the fish and chips in the explanation. It's definitely a journey - the menu gives you very little to go on, but you must trust. The antelope was incredible. It's hard to describe how they magically elevated chicken on a stick. They made Frenet taste good. I hate mussels, but the curry crepe with squash, spaghetti and mussels was somehow delicious. Best banana pudding I've ever eaten. Try the things you think you won't like.

Been here several times over the past few years. Decided to go for my wife’s birthday. The food was a hit or miss this go around. By the time the food we wanted to try came around, we were too full to try. The only consistent things from the past visits compared to this one was the Old Fashion and Banana Pudding.

The team here is so talented and friendly! An awesome, one of a kind culinary experience. Each dish was creative and interesting, and even if something wasn't a personal favorite the preparation and presentation were interesting and made it worthwhile to give every dish a shot. Definitely a splurge but worth it for special occasions. Bring friends so you can share! The only downside to the open kitchen concept is that it was pretty toasty all night- dress accordingly.

Gunshow lives up to the hype! The atmosphere is lively and comfortable and the service was absolutely perfect. The entire evening was an incredible experience and it did not disappoint! If you're on the fence about going then this is your sign to pull the trigger, and be sure to get the banana pudding! Important things to add: the staff was so accommodating when they heard we had an allergy in our group. They really went above and beyond to ensure that we were safe, happy, and fully enjoyed our dinner!

Start to finish - everything was considered. I have dietary restrictions and the crew at Gunshow were determined that I would have plenty to enjoy - and they were right! Some of the best food I've ever eaten - everything prepared with care and just the right balance of flavors. The timing of dishes meant you weren't overwhelmed - just excited for what might come next.

I enjoyed every moment. The food was awesome. We received about 8 tapa style selections we were able to decide if we wanted to try them or pass on them. We tried 6 out 8 and were pleased with our selections. The drinks were delicious and the right amount of alcohol. My favorite was the duck. The desserts were amazing. The banana pudding was made to perfection. I wasn’t impressed with the lamb as it was my least favorite item. I do recommend trying this restaurant. I probably wouldn’t have tried antelope if it wasn’t for this place. It’s fun to go with at least four or more people.

I love a restaurant that elevates food without being pretentious. This is Gun Show. As usual, we ended up getting everything on the menu, and the variety of flavors was everything. If we had longer than the 90-minute seating, we would have stayed another hour. If there's room at the bar, that's an option btw. If you love new flavors and dishes that are unlike anywhere else, Gun Show consistently hits the mark.

Let me start by saying that I came into this dining experience with an open mind as I’ve visited similar restaurants in the past and had heard great things. From the jump things felt off. We walked into a hot restaurant where fellow diners were quite literally crammed into an area by the hostess stand. Once seated, it took two or three passes for anyone to come over and explain the concept. My dining companion ordered a cocktail which they enjoyed. So the show begins and we snag the crepe with mussels which was unexpectedly chilly. The service itself is fine with dim sum style coming by the table but we felt skipped over with the items more than once and had to flag a member of the staff down to get the items we saw landing on tables around us but never us. Our piece of lamb belly was super fatty and it was something we were both looking forward to. The plating also seemed inconsistent based on what we saw around us and the staff helping our table asked us the same questions over and over as the room grew warmer and warmer. We both mentioned it felt like someone from the staff had called out which understandably makes things more complicated and tough. Favorites of the night were the oxtail and krab. My partner also liked their cocktails. I want to come back, I just might give it a beat before I do.

Due to limited open availability and the way they service, was hard to lock down a time. After making a reservation, we were able to visit. Worth the wait and patience on our part. Every dish was unique and flavorful. Meant to share, we had to settle on what we loved together. Even so, there was plenty of attention to detail and friendly service. Space was intimate yet cozy.

Love the place because it is not pretentious or pompous, you do not have to dress up to have an amazing gastronomical journey... and we did.. oh my.. I can't even describe everything. Food is presented by the person who made it, everything is fresh and delicious, beautifully presented. Drinks are the state of the art. Look at these pictures It is expensive but if you like food it is totally worth it

The experience at Gunshow was simply extroardinary. The chefs are beyond talented serving dishes that are as artistic as they are delicious.

I really loved this place. Bring your hunger - portions are generous. Food is similar to a cafe in Portland I liked.

They're doing pre fixe tasting menus right now. This place has food combos you never knew about and it's all good. Pre fix is 10 courses, 2 people, $99/person. Drinks $11-12/each They tell you about each dish before you eat it but honestly you may catch half of it because there's a lot going on. They'll answer questions or leave you to it. Currently serving such things as grilled octopus with sunchokes wrapped in Lardo and tigers milk curry over asian pears. Everything has crazy flavors and complexity and just super interesting to see and experience. Definitely come with an open mind and an empty belly. The 10 courses meal is a ton of food.

This entire experience was amazing. I came for my birthday and the food was incredible (due to Covid the are doing a fee per person) the cocktails were also amazing. It's pricey but it's a dinning experience I can't wait to have again and would recommend to anyone!

It like dimsum style. The chefs come out with their dishes and tell you about it and if you like it you get it. It's meant to be shared but portions are small but it's high quality ingredients so it's an experience. I think the menu changes often. It's a lot of fusion food which makes it fun and playful. Dishes can be anywhere from 14-26 and you can order more than one. It's a bit pricey but I really enjoyed the whole vibe of the people here. Parking is in the back and it's free. Drinks were good and they use metal straws ! 🐢 ❤️

Definitely my favorite restaurant in the city. The food and drinks are amazingly creative. The service is awesome. This is one of the few places left where people seem to really take pride in their work. COVID precautions were very well executed- felt very safe and clean the whole time.

We had an amazing time at Gunshow! The chef's showed genuine excitement when explaining the dishes as they were brought out which made for a great (+ unique) dining experience. We will definitely be back!

“Dim sum style” as in they bring plates to your table and you decide if you want it. I think the only downside is that the music is extremely loud, which means you can’t hear what the chefs are saying. Otherwise great experience. Food was unique and good and the service was great.

Great experience and atmosphere! Chefs are clearly talented, and the idea of seeing the dishes in front of you in order to choose is unique. Flipside: If your palate isn't on the more adventurous side, you may find yourself a bit hungry after leaving. Each dish can comfortably feed two; for our group of seven we ordered three and it was just about enough. Cocktails are amazing, as is the presentation of the at the table.

Fun 1 time experience. Overpriced considering the lack of consistency. Been 4 times for work. (don't go here for work dinners as you won't be able to have a conversation, to loud inside.)

Next time I'll be back with my friends. Feeling here is like a restaurant in Fort Worth I liked.

😠 DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Terrible service! The server cannot remember what you ordered…it cannot be that hard to write it down. Friends waited for (Hennessy) drinks…at the same table for an hour and 15min. It took the bartender 3 tries….It took over an hour to get food even with a reservation. YOU CAN...
