Soooooo. Let me start by saying, whatever you read in the comments are true. You WILL go through something during your dining experience. We made a reservation for 4 a month in advance. We arrived earlier than expected. Parking is valet. Online the restaurant advertises Valet is 10.00. Upon arrival, the gentleman stated 20.00 😒. Once in the restaurant, seating was confusing. The host finally suggested outside seating. Which was a heated and covered patio. We accepted. Upon seating, our waitress greeted us and immediately asked for drink orders. We all chose the bottomless mimosas for 30 pp. A single mimosa is 10 a glass so it makes sense. A friend of mine had questions and the waitress had a huge attitude. Drinks were brought to the table immediately and the order was placed shortly after. I will say, the drinks were STRONG. The music was good. And the brunch turned into a whole day party. My issue is at the 2 hour mark, the waitress abruptly gave us our tickets and stated that the next guests were there and waiting. We took our last round of bottomless mimosas and went inside to the bar area where party number 2 went down. Overall, I had a great time and would definitely recommend but with warning. Food was amazing. Hot. Fresh. Atmosphere was lit. Try it out sometime!

Came for lunch and was over charged $5 for the crab cake combo. The menu states the price is $20 and the server brought out my receipt and I was charged $25. When I brought the issue to her attention she stated that she had to go speak with manager… 15 minutes later she came back with $2 dollars and said the manager told her that the correct price is $22 and tried to hand me $2 because she didn’t have any more change. Absolutely unacceptable and not to mention they charge a 18% gratuity per ticket not a party of 6 or more. I’m beyond disappointed in this establishment because it WAS one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta

Update review! My last experience here after many years was actually a very enjoyable one. Service was outstanding, food was great as usual and I was actually glad to be back in the spot. Does look like things have slowed down a bit in this area overall but could be the weather changing. Greens and fried chicken are delicious, check em out!

Allll the way from South Florida!!!!! Pro reviewer and this place is LIT 🔥 IF your looking for hiphop/ rap popular song selection. Strong well blended drinks!!! LEE was my server!!! Wonderful service she was prompt and courteous the whole evening. I arrived made a reservation ahead and it was honored immediately!! I was seated immediately she took my drink order immediately and i ordered a hookah along with it currently 50 bucks with options for refill at an additional charge. Refill on drinks were quick (not in cute glasses) but still tasty. Food came out in a timely manner. Its in a rough neighborhood but (i went alone and im female) a positive attitude helped of course!! I ordered hot wings cooked hard and that’s exactly what I received and they were crunchy and delicious 🤤 ordered fries no salt and they came hot and no salt as requested LOVE IT AND THE VIBE IS ON POINT

1st time here was for comedy night, so it was good. My 2nd visit was not so good. Apparently, to order your food using the bar code, you needed an iPhone: droids don't work with the app. Then, you can call me "spoiled," but I'm not used to eating with plasticware when I go out to eat dinner. Second of all, why bring out the food for 1 out of a party of 2 so that the other party sits there waiting. Third, no dessert tonight...on Valentine's day?🤔 Then, when we get the bill, we are charged extra for different wine that we didn't drink. The problem was fixed right away, but the reasoning was, "Our menu is not updated." Altogether, I had to score them a 3/5 because the food & music were good.

I heard nothing but great things about this place, but my experience was not so great. Let me start off by saying, our food was delicious. That’s why I’m giving this place one star. We arrived at 11:45(they open at 12). We were the first ones to be seated. We didn’t place our orders till 1230. 30 mins to place our order is crazy. Waiter was just walking around. Place wasn’t even packed. We received our food at 1:15. The only thing that came in a timely fashion was our drinks. The waiter was dry and not friendly. Didn’t ask if needed anything, if we wanted another drink, nothing. The restroom was NOT clean. We asked for the check and it took about another 25 minutes for the waiter to come. Although, the food was delicious, every thing else trumps how good the food is. I understand people come for the “brunch experience,” but the staff needs to remember that this also a restaurant and you do have PAYING customers.

Search google for a good brunch spot and this place is spot on. The food was amazing. Made a reservation and still had to wait, which was fine. The place is small inside we went on a Saturday around 12 pm and I swear it felt as if I walked into a club We enjoyed our food and service but if your looking for a place just to eat and talk without ppl dancing around while you eat, this is not the place for you. It gives club like vibes just with good food. i was told they were having a day party, we were fine with it because It was my cousin birthday so it was cool. Overall good food, music and service. Downside VERY LOUD MUSIC 🎶 ONE last thing you pay for water FYI no tap water only bottle

We weren’t sure what we were walking into, but we knew that it had great ratings for food, and this place did not disappoint. The food was so full of flavor, and potions were a nice size and the vibe was great. They had a live DJ, who played all types of hip hop music. The music was loud and it was a bit warm but I would go back in a heartbeat.

The prices they charge are NOT worth the poor quality of food & service you get. I was there last night 12/10 for a birthday party. Instead of charging the person who booked the party each guest was charged a $5.00 entertainment fee & 20% gratuity because we sat on the uncomfortable couches. Uncomfortable because there's no leg room & the table is too low for the high couch side. I ordered the Salmon Alfredo there was no taste. They charge $20 valet to park in their own lot when they know the guests will only be there 2 hours for their parties.. BQE use to have a better experience. I will not go there again. Over priced & Over-rated. It took a long time to get drinks & it wasn't busy. Then the waitress took the food order. Appetizers & dinner came out together. At the 1 1/2 hour make the waitress came over & said we had 30 mins. I was unaware of the time frame. I don't mind spending money but please give me my money's worth. BQE doesn't do that.

Love them ambience. Made reservations. Did not have to wait. Allen was our server. He was very tentative to our needs. Enjoyed the music food and hookah. Best red velvet waffles in town! Definitely would go back.

FIRST VISIT. I enjoyed the gumbo, cheese steak rolls & grits. The drinks were on point as well, FOOD DELICIOUS! Would definitely visit again. Valet parking 20bucks unless you park in area across from the restaurant which I was told not a good idea after dark. Your reservations are only good for a short time so we had to reserve a table again & we weren't finished our meal yet. DJ was EVERYTHING, some new music with the best of OLD SCHOOL flava.

I had seen this on the top lit brunch spots list. So I was very excited to try this place out. I made sure I had a reservation but of course. Easier on me and the staff at this location. Valet was $20 and since I did my research...I was prepared. We didn't wait long for our table luckily. They sat us outside in a tent since there was no space in the inside. The place was definitely packed. They had portable ACs but I didn't feel much. It was a hot day as well. 1 AC was on. We were melting and buying a hookah was out of the question. Too hot. I bought the bottomless mimosas($30)...since each glass was $10. Better deal for me! I was disappointed my glass and the kraft were plastic. Takes away from the brunch experience. Guess since the pandemic its sanitary and cost effective. My cousin ordered the red velvet chicken and waffles. I had the braised beef short ribs. We also ordered a side of Mac and cheese. It took a long time for our food to be brought out. Definitely not our server's fault. There were lots of people, not that many servers plus the running back and forth between the outdoor/ indoor area. Our server was wonderful and the other staff we encountered ..were pleasant as well.My drinks kept me occupied. I read several reviews and this place was hit or miss. The quality of the food is not the best. Especially for the price. I was not impressed. The two hour minimum for your table is crazy if it takes almost an hour for your food to come out. The music was bleh. DJ la bonita was definitely missed. No variety what so ever. Music is important at day parties( any party). I expected so much more. Glad I went to experience it for myself but I do not care to return. I've definitely been to some great brunch spots. This place has potential and the location is dope but it was a miss for us.

Came here a few times. Never had the food here not my type of food. But I’m leaving this review because of the cleanliness and service. There was a roach at the bar which caused us to be reseated. Once reseated we got a high chair area and I like to seat next to my date. It’s early and the place is empty so I didn’t think it would be an issue to seat on the end of the table. They kept saying they need need me to move to get behind me but there was nobody behind me to get to and I’m not a big guy and the women well most of them weren’t big either. Anywho we was moved for a third time. I’m just here at this point so I don’t get fired lol.

Buy everything on the menu like we did. Too much to choose from. Def fulfilled our expectations and warmed our hearts. This is some super duper good soul food cooking here!

I have been to the restaurant for dinner, and I really enjoyed it. The food is good. I recently visited for brunch and my experience was a TRAIN wreck. First of all, we had a reservation for 12pm, only to arrive, and the restaurant wasn't even open yet. We got sat at our table around 12:20. Not sure for the delayed opening. The sign on their door says brunch at 10am. Upon being seated, we ordered drinks, and decided to order an appetizer while we waited for an additional person in our party. Before we could even get our appetizer, we were asked to order entrees because of a 2 hour table limit. It was confusing to be asked to order our meal, when we hadn't even received our appetizer, but whatever. The appetizer came out cold. It was tasty, but cold. Out of the three entrees ordered ONE came out right (chicken & waffles) we also ordered catfish & grits, this came out not as described on the menu. Apparently there was a switch with the sauce this particular day. Customers should be advised of any changes in menu items BEFORE they arrive to the table. The last entree we ordered was short ribs. We waited 90 MINUTES (out of a 2 HOUR table limit) to be told short ribs weren't in house that day. Again, something we should have known BEFORE ordering. Nevermind being HUNGRY and rushed with our meal. The manager was accommodating and our server was VERY nice, but my whole experience was displeasing. Our party spent over $300 to eat, and this restaurant cares more about the table limit. I think the focus should be more on providing a consistent, quality food experience. I don't feel like I received that here.

Horrible!!!! had reservations for 10pm restaurant close at 12am. They obviously didn’t care about cooking the food properly because the kitchen closed at 10:30 the mac and cheese was noodles and milk!!!!! all food should be cooked properly No matter the Time as long as the kitchen is open !!!! The Catfish is frozen strips from the supermarket!!!!!

First time here. Atmosphere, music, food, service and drinks were excellent. A/C wasn't working so it was hot inside.

The fish and grits with catfish was the best I ever had!!!! It was so good 😋 the only reason I don't give them five stars is because we were seated in the overflow tented area and I was not impressed.

Visited the ATL from Rhode Island, BQE was the place to be! The DJ, and restaurant was a vibe. The Fish and grits was my favorite, also the chicken and waffles was Bomb!!

I think the food was good but the service didn't match! I would of liked the music to be just a little lower, so we could talk during dinner. I did enjoy my shrimp and grits just wished the shrimp was peeled.

If I could give the service a damn “zero” I WOULD. AMBER C was not friendly at all her attitude towards my family was horrible. I asked her was she ok because Amber need to be more friendly with working with the public and tourist. Also, please lighten up on the season for the Turkey burger, but the food was great overall. Amber C needs to work on her customer service skills. I would also recommend that you all to make sure that tissue in both restrooms.

I've been to this establishment a few times and never had a complaint, however this time it was very disappointing. My man ordered the crab cakes which was on a bed of lettuce and the lettuce was thicker than the crab cakes and at 28.00 at that. Although he said they tasted okay, he shouldn't have still been hungry after leaving the restaurant, he had the macaroni which was decent but it did appear slightly overcooked. I had the chili wings with Cesar salad along with the appetizer catfish that were okay however, the wings were not coated well with the sauce. As far as the cocktails go you can't go wrong with drinks. the strong island lemonade was a hit. We were Very disappointed with the food. The picture below of the chili wings.

Came here July 29,2022 Long review otw. I was looking for a spot to have my wife b'day dinner.. I called several places over the city and everyone charged in my opinion too much money for a b'day dinner of 20 people.. I came across bqe on google just searching for lounges with a live band experience. I have drove by this place countless times since I'm from ATL. Well my first time here was great... The drinks were good and shavonne was great, she was always around and communicated well. Drawback was big party only one bill that can be split 3 ways but who wants to do all that so we went the cash app the payer and one person pays, but you know how that can go. The band was great and very interactive. She the live singer engaged with the audience.. It was 💯. I had a turkey burger. It was good nothing special about it.. I was told everyone food was great... They seated us very fast and accomdated for more.. I will definitely be back.. Security was nice and they hv valet and a lot one block over to park... CHECK THEM OUT IN MY OPINION

Worse food ever. I ordered FISH AND GRITS to take out. Online it showed the restaurant closes at 4. I’m not sure if the bartender heard me due to music playing or possibly speaking low. She brought my food out on a plate and I told her to go. I take full accountability for not really looking at the plate and not double checking before leaving. my order was incorrect being the shrimp and grits the grits was mushy I’m upset 30.00 dollars I’m filing a dispute

We had our Holiday party here. Jasmine was our Server...she was very professional. The drinks were good. It was 8 of us so everyone ordered something different. I had the fried chicken wings, collard greens and Mashed potatoes. The chicken was very good but the greens were too sweet. 2 people had the Lobster tacos, said they were OK...Lobster was fried too hard. Oh! The music was great! The staff was very friendly and nice. I would patronize this spot again.

Food was great. Decent prices by Atlanta standards too. The music is loud,you’ll probably like it. Not me tho. I had the catfish and grits. It was good. Red velvet waffles were great too. Recommend it.

Food 10000/10 highly recommended Definitely passed the vibe check!! A variety of great music selection and from now on let Ashley do the interviews from now we need more people like her!!! She checked on us like 10 times making sure everything was fine. I really appreciated her services while enjoying my time at BQE. We definitely will be coming back!! A time was had!!!

First off, I’ve been here twice. And both times I’ve had an amazing experience. This time, Hunter was our waiter and she was such a joy to have. She was polite, attentive, and joyful. She made our experience so memorable We’ll definitely be back just for her!

Our waitress was amazing. She was super sweet and made sure we didn’t need anything throughout the dining experience. That’s where the stars come in. The food was just okay to me. I had the fried snapper, yellow rice and greens. My bf had the fried chicken and waffles. My snapper was cooked perfectly, but not seasoned at all. The rice was okay and the greens was a no for me. The fried chicken was a 5 on a scale of 1-10….and the waffles were good. But I wouldn’t go back.

The restaurant’s policies/dress code/table limit do not match the actual quality of the establishment. We were sat right in front of what looks like what’s supposed to be a private lounge area with sheer curtains, you can see the waitresses getting ready putting on deodorant etc. They had only one type of beer and drinks were served in flimsy plastic containers. We ordered our food and it came out literally 3 mins later which made me question the freshness/quality.. & it was not good. A friend ordered gumbo and didn’t receive the bread that comes with it because they were out. Our waitress was really nice but overall, 1/10…would not recommend!

We had the best experience, so much that we were there for almost 5 hours! Lee our server couldn’t have been anymore kind, attentive, and accommodating than she already was. Lee added to an already 5 star experience. The food was bomb, the love DJ was needed, and the groups that we interacted with made it that much more amazing!!! Definitely coming back for this experience!

Our waitress threatened me not to share the mimosas though I had my own drink and didn't have any of the endless mimosas myself. Though I was told the Bellini was a great choice. I enjoyed the food and BQE.

Great atmosphere, but the waffles were a meh experience. Thankfully, the wings were seasoned quite well, though. My biggest concern was when served Sweet tea, it was carbonated?? When replaced with a coke, it was a different and odd taste also. Maybe the fountain machine requires a deep clean? The worst part of the experience is the waitstaff charged for beverages we didn't drink, and when asked for, the manager copped an attitude. Let's discuss this automatic gratuity for a table of 3? Really? Being a first experience, it will definitely be the only.

BQE did it right! My husband and I went for brunch with some skepticism based on other lounges we visited. We were in from out of town so we opted to do the “valet” which is a joke but nevertheless we paid $20 to have our car parked in a parking lot that we were already in by a parking attendant. We figured at least the car will be watched during our visit. Other than parking, everything else was great! They opened a few minutes late but when we walked in we were greeted and immediately sat down a table. Our waitress was friendly and put our orders in and we had drinks within 3 minutes, appetizer within 10 mins, and our entrees shortly after. Everything tasted amazing. We had the red velvet chicken and waffles and they were delicious. The Bellini carafe was just enough for the both of us, and the catfish appetizer! Omg! The best I’ve had! We would definitely attend again when we are in the city, thanks for good service, great food, and the vibes.

Great food and drinks. Live entertainment. OMG! Negative- $20 parking AND I parked my own vehicle, two others in entire lot. I would visit more, but parking fees keeps me from doing so. When visiting diverse environments, I don't worry about ridiculous parking fees or sometimes none at all. We must do better.

I went to the BQE for my friends’ birthday and I enjoyed my waitress Victoria. She was so hands on and the service was the fastest I have seen in the city of Atlanta. They were on it the staff was nice and everyone made us feel welcomed. Victoria got us everything we needed and had the best advice on what to eat and drink. Victoria really made the experience at BQE worth wild. I will definitely go back again.

Great place to eat had a great time drinks were on point just thought the wings had too much salt with lemon pepper the bartenders were beautiful and the dj got it popping. All night

Good food. Max in cheese was too good be in such a small bowl. I need more. Live comedy on a Wednesday. Get there early seating is very limited. Small lounge but I really enjoyed my self.

The atmosphere was a club. There was a live DJ! The kitchen was open and we were able to order food and drinks and seat at the bar to eat. It was a real Vibe! The music 🎶 was loud and it was a vibe! The area was downtown Atlanta. The bartender was great as well. I ordered the Fried Lobster 🦞 tacos 🌮. The lobster was heavily breaded. Maybe 2 of 5. The fried catfish was good. It was seasoned well and came out in good timing. Overall I would recommend this restaurant. 👌🏾

This weekend it was my niece's 18th Birthday 🎉 we had an Amazing time. The waitress ( Summer) was super nice she was awesome. The entire experience was a 10/10!!!! They treated us like super stars!
