Great place to eat and enjoy a rotating view of Atlanta. It takes about an hour for the restaurant to go around in a counter clockwise circle. Only the seating area moves, so you see outside views slowly change and also the internal view change from the kitchen to the lobby to other stations. Food was excellent. Our server was a very attentive nice guy. I wish I recalled his name.

Great first time experience! We came here for my friends birthday dinner. Our waitress, Antoinette, did a fantastic job. She knew what kind of drinks to recommend, which did not disappoint! The food was delicious. I do wish the portion sizes was bigger though. Just a heads up, the restaurant changes their menu according to the season we’re in. I thought that was refreshing. I also wish that the spin was a little faster. At times, it felt like we weren’t moving at all until we looked outside and realized that the spin is very, very slow. Overall, I had a great first time experience. I will definitely be making a second visit!

I think I would have given 5 stars if I was so disappointed about not getting my birthday dessert. I was actually my birthday, and my husband surprised me by taking me there. It was an awesome experience. The food and drinks were delicious. The drinks came a little slow because there was only one bartender. I can understand that. It was a little slow getting our check at the end. I really was looking forward to the birthday dessert. Our server knew the occasion, but it never came. Other than that, it was great. I would return.

A wonderful dining experience with great atmosphere and excellent service. This restaurant is more about a high quality, flavorful quisine experience so if you're looking for a big meal it might not be the pick for you. However, the quality is the best I've ever had and could find no flaws in my meal.

Such a cool and inviting restaurant. Perfect for a fancy date night or just grab some drinks in their lounge. The wait staff was incredibly polite and professional, the drinks were expertly crafted, and the food was exquisite. Although this was my first time at Polaris, I was treated like a friend or a regular. My only bit of advice is to make sure to remember to make a reservation!

I made this reservation back in December 2022 for my birthday (December 20th). That was the reservation closest to my birthday. It also allowed my partner and I to celebrate our birthdays around the same time. Hers was on January 22. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. God I was disappointed! The much ballyhooed view of the city's skyline is at best, mediocre. Compared to, say a view of the Golden Gate/Bay Bridge, the view from Polaris, of Atlanta's skyline is unimpressive. However, this was the least of our worries. The biggest disappointment was the food. It was absolutely atrocious. My loftily named "Smoked Black Pepper Crusted Seabass" was bland, tasteless, and soaked in oil. My side - "Caramelized white beans" - was equally tasteless, mushy, and hot! My partner ordered the Crispy Dr. Joe Duck Leg & Cassoulet was equally unpalatable. In short, everything about the evening was bad. Really bad! Even the service, at best, was tolerable. What's the say - "live and learn"? Yeap, but sheesh!

***Disclaimer: My actual rating is 4/5. The only reason I am giving it a because of our server Antionette who was beyond amazing. *** After 4 months of advance booking, I finally had a chance to celebrate my first anniversary at the coveted OG revolving restaurant, Polaris (on the top floor of Hyatt Regency in Downtown Atlanta) Here is the summary of my experience and why am I giving it a 5-star even though I was not mesmerized by it. --- Few things: --- This place is not open on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday so make sure you take that into account --- Make sure you make a reservation 2-3 months in advance because you will not get a reservation most likely even a month in advance as this place is always booked --- Now that you have reserved the place, please make sure that you do not reach here before 30 minutes of your reservation unless you want to pay for valet parking. The reason is that they do not let you upstairs 10 minutes before your reserved time and they validate your parking for 3 hours from the time you reach there. So unless you want to be in a rush, make sure you a just a little earlier than your reserved time. --- When I visited the place, there were NO chicken dishes. So if you are allergic to fish and do not eat beef, you will have to be content with limited vegetarian dish :( Now coming to my experience: -- Ambiance 4/5: Please hear me out. This place has an amazing decor and ambiance. There is a live chef that you can see working on your dishes. The reason I gave it a 4/5 rating is because I missed the USP of this place. The revolving restaurant has a slow movement and you truly do not witness it unless you are making a hyperlapse video. Plus this place is now surrounded by taller buildings so the view is kind of hidden and scattered which leaves you wanting for more. If this was just a regular restaurant, I would give it a 5 for decor but since it is a revolving rooftop and I kind of didn't find it that way hence giving it a 4/5 --- Service 6/5: Our server Antionette was beyond amazing. She made sure that we were comfortable, brought out helpful suggestions, and even took our pictures with ideas on the way we should pose. She even complemented us with a free dessert for our anniversary. Also, the chef gave us complimentary bread just because he did not like the presentation which was a pleasant surprise! She would be a major reason for us to be back :) --- Food 4/5: The food for me was a mixed bag and I definitely want to highlight the absence of chicken dishes from the menu. We started with the drinks: Drinks: a) Sober Mo - A hibiscus mocktail that was not my favorite as I am not a fan of hibiscus. Also, it was very sweet. b) The Dauntless: This is a pineapple-based mocktail that we both liked. Shareable plates: a) Bread is good cheddar + herb Sourdough: The bread was soft and fresh and the side of herb dip with fresh butter with sea salt went well with it (the butter tasted like ghee to me). In addition to this, the chef gave us complimentary bread just because he did not like the presentation which was a pleasant surprise! b) Pistachio-crusted GA quail breast: My wife loved it and completely devoured it. Main Course: a) Roasted Bone-in Monkfish: My wife did not like it. It was spicy (listen to your server when they tell you this :) ). I was not a fan of the gravy either. So if you like monkfish and spicy food, try it on your own accord. We didn't even like the Japanese eggplant in it b) Lentil Falafel + Spiced Couscous: This one is only for the brave who loves couscous. We only liked the lentil falafel was great and finished it quickly. Recommended from my side. Dessert: a) The Polaris blue dome: We went for the famous dome. Make sure you have some space for this because we loved this. The dessert was delicious and instragrammable --- Value for money 5/5:The bill here is not going to be light on the wallet but given the overall service and experience, we were happy with the overall value for money

Great experience at a stunning location! Have been wanting to try this unique rotating restaurant since it recently reopened, and it was definitely a fun and unique evening with good food! The cuisine was fusion style American, and the menu seemed to have a mix of everything. The Pearl Pina Colada was amazing and unique, and the lemon Basil sour was also tasty - both drinks were very good!! We tried the Spanish octopus and foie gras tart starters, and the octopus was the standout. It was grilled and seasoned perfectly with a delicious sauce! Everything on the plate tasted good, but there were a lot of elements that didn't necessarily feel homogenous. The foie gras was very buttery, and the apple jam was a welcome addition, although I think it would have been improved by more pastry/bread to pair with it. Tried the wild boar with sweet potato gnocchi, and again while the meat was cooked perfectly and everything on the plate was tasty, it felt that there were too many flavors that were competing with each other. The blue dome dessert was outstanding. We had a memorable experience, and the views were gorgeous! Amazing atmosphere and service, and it would be nice to return during the daytime when you can see more of the city.

What a great experience @ Polaris in the Hyatt. Our server J was top notch and so was the food and the atmosphere. However we were charged for parking in the "Hyatt " overflow deck on Bakers Street because the valet sent us there. This happened because the parking attendant said "we were @the Hyatt but our car wasn't. What a terrible end to our great night. This should be considered when planning a trip to the new Polaris.

When I initially arrived at the Hyatt Regency, downtown Atlanta, I was expecting the Polaris to be closed. The receptionist in the lobby allowed me to go up anyway. The bartenders who were closing down, essentially reopened the bar, the kitchen staff allowed me to put in an order for the quail. The drinks and the entrées were fantastic. On the way back out of Georgia. I stopped at the Polaris during normal operating hours. Again the service was unbelievable. The views are fantastic. The speaker box is an amazing cocktail. I recommend the blue dome for dessert. Brandon on the bar was amazing-he took the time to explain the high-quality tequila they had procured. I was able to purchase a bottle and bring it back to Colorado. He also explained how the pastry chef was also a certified beekeeper, and as the building spun around, pointed out where the beehives were living on top of the high-rise.It was really cool to see the kitchen put out such high-quality food with such a small line. Wonderful experience!

Chic, upscale dining experience with stunning views of the city from the rotating dining room. Our reservation was just before sunset so we got the full experience. The entire staff is gracious, attentive, professional, and make the experience a joy. The menu changes seasonally, and on this occasion I had the rabbit entree which was unbelievably good. Beautiful place, great food, exceptional service. Rather expensive, but worth every penny. Highly recommended.

Rotating rooftop bar and restaurant, on top of the 22 floor Hyatt Regency hotel. It took me a while to notice it was spinning and once you see it you can't ignore it. Our waiter told us it takes 1 hour to complete 1 rotation. Drinks selection was great, we ordered the McAllen 12 and the Cava wine.

The atmosphere was amazing and calming, the revolving the restaurant is a unique concept. It might spin slowly but it can get nauseous if you pay to much attention to the spinning. The service was perfect, server Michael explained in detail every single dish and made sure we knew the details and origin of every dish.

Polaris is absolutely stunning! Went there to celebrate our Anniversary and the staff upon arrival kept wishing us a happy Anniversary. The complimentary peach cheesecake was life changing! The drinks were so good. The food was delicious, cooked to perfection. Our server was great and she took amazing pictures of us. Our experience was absolutely incredible, I’d highly recommend especially if one is celebrating something special. Oh let me not forget the amazing views!!!

An amazing experience! Great 360° view of the city while having great drinks and great food. The steak was so tender and flavorful, some of the best I've had. The service was wonderful from the hostess to the bartenders. I definitely recommend for an intimate date night.

Atlanta fine dining with a spectacular view. Rotating restaurant in downtown Atlanta viewing the skyline. 6-7 entree options between about $25-$40. Appetizer and dessert options also. Lounge, bar, and table seating. Hostess, waiter, and management staff were very hospitable and respectful. Ricotta pasta purses, Diver's scallops, hazelnut orange dessert, and blue chocolate dessert were all exemplary.

Mouth watering delicious food... steak was medium cooked and very juicy! Portions are perfect, more like in Europe where I live, so felt at home! The views are a cherry on top and surprise is that the center rotated counter clockwise - very entertaining!! Enjoyable misic as well. I highly recommended and next time I’m in Atlanta will definitely come back!!

Chef's kiss to this place! I celebrated my birthday here yesterday with my husband. The drinks were smooth, the food was scrumptious, the atmosphere was intimate, and the views were spectacular. This is a great place for a date night. We will be back sooner rather than later.

3 stars because the food and service wasn’t that good but the ambiance and view were. I came here for Valentine’s Day/birthday and enjoyed it but our waitress wasn’t too friendly at all. The bad service was very unexpected for a place like Polaris on a holiday. I will not be coming back because there are other rooftop bars/restaurants with views like this and better service and food.

Went on a Mom and sis trip and the visit to Polaris was impeccable! The ambiance, the service, the food, the chef…! Our server, Antoinette, was just a beautiful soul inside and out. She truly took time to talk with us and share and just helped us have an absolutely wonderful and much-needed relaxing night. Chef Chris was so kind to check on us and explain each course. We truly felt like royalty. You cannot go wrong with this restaurant. It’s a bit spendy but it was worth every single penny. Thank you to the Polaris team for a beautiful evening 💙

This is the place to go for your special anniversary, birthday or any special occasion. I’ve been to many fancy restaurants and the way they treated us here was second to none. The food was on point. We don’t drink alcohol so we were glad to try their mocktails. The vegetarian dish for my wife, let me simply put it this way. She said it’s one of the best dishes she’s tried on her whole life! That tells you something. Our server Antoinette, well she just went above and beyond. Don’t think twice. Reserve your table at Polaris. I know I’ll be back.

Wow, the new Polaris was everything I was hoping for. Our waitress Su was amazing, sweet, nice and caring!! The steak was unbelievably perfect, crab, potatoes, charcuterie board with honey made from bees cared for on site. The spin was slow and the drinks and dessert were amazing. So happy this restaurant is back!!! 3 hours free valet if you eat there.

My husband and I had an awesome experience at Polaris last night celebrating our anniversary. The food was delicious and beautifully plated and the service was phenomenal!! Su was our waitress and took great care of us and offered to take multiple pictures throughout the evening. Another friendly staff member that wasn’t specifically “assigned” to us came by and insisted on taking more pictures for us. Some places make you feel awkward for even asking to take one, so we really appreciated the extra warmth and care that went into the customer service. Thank you so much for a great night!

This is a time I need more than 5 stars ⭐️ because this restaurant was more than a meal - it was an experience. My husband and I are both Georgia natives and somehow neither of us had ever visited’The Blue Bubble’ but fully intend to visit more often. Let’s start with our food - every dish was prepared to perfection by what have to be world class chefs. I don’t think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. The environment was amazing - turning ever so slightly to take in the view of the city while we dined. They do have a lounge area so you can just visit for light apps and drinks as well if you don’t have time for the full experience. And I can’t end this review without calling our our server - Antoinette - from start to finish she was by far one of the best servers we’ve ever had. We chatted like we were old friends, she answered all of our questions and made recommendations and took photos for us at ever turn like a professional. She truly elevated our visit. You will need to book reservations well in advance but you won’t regret the decision.

This restaurant is amazing! The staff is exceptional and the food is out of this world!!! I had the steak Oscar and my husband had the sea bass. I also got the chocolate peanut butter martini…..so yummy! The food at the Polaris is so far above the quality of the food at the Sun Dial that there is no comparison! This restaurant is worth going to if you have never been and once you go you will want to go again! I am already making another reservation to take my daughter next time.

The whole experience was great. We ate here to celebrate our 13th anniversary. The restaurant is beautiful. Our server Michael was very knowledgeable and explained the whole menu. We ordered the charcuterie board, my husband had the lamb, and I ordered the sea bass. His entree was spectacular. The sea bass was delicious but I found the accompaniments to be a little salty. The charcuterie board was my favorite dish. We also received a complimentary anniversary dessert which was really amazing! The rotating view was my favorite part. It was breathtaking watching the sun set over the city.

  • 5/5 Edwin L. 1 year ago on Google
Let me start off by saying that I don’t see this place like just a restaurant. THIS PLACE IS AN EXPERIENCE. You can valet to the hotel and they will validate the ticket for you. Restaurant has its own elevator to the top and you get a beautiful 360 view of the city. The octopus here is to die for and the the best you’ll ever have!! The cocktails were so good had several of them but the “Mind your bee’s knees” was by far the best one! The beef filet melts in your mouth. The service from Michael was just outstanding, he took his time going over the full menu and was very knowledgeable.

This place was nothing short of spectacular for my wife and I. I had placed reservations for her birthday two months prior and it was definitely worth the wait! It began with the valet parking which was an included bonus to my reservation, I just had to take my receipt down to the basement for validation and boom, paid. The drink I had was very aromatic and tasty. It was the pina colada drink special. We had the pork belly for appetizer and omg, it just melts in your mouth....as well as everything else we had. We had the steak oscar and also two different types of desserts, one being the blue dome chocolate which i highly recommend especially because they make it from the honey on sight that is visible during your rotation through dinner. I will definitely be back and recommending this place to all of my friends who visit. Much love, FLEA Much love for our server Haley and food runner Antoinette! They were delightful, friendly and extremely charismatic.

Celebrated my birthday here. It was wonderful. Drinks were amazing. Lemon Basil Sour is a must have. Ask for Antoinette, she is an amazing server. Brussel sprouts are boiled (too soft) with the sea bass. Crisp would be better. The octopus is excellent. The vibe is amazing. Will be back.

Over priced for small bathroom,no vent to remove steam or smell when room mates do things. No stove less kitchen. It looks like a motel. Buckhead hotels are nice. I understand dragoncon can be messy. But at least make corporate rooms or vip rooms better. I am willing to pay more for better choices. Probably not staying here again during dragoncon.

The food and the staff made this meal a wonderful experience. Add on the atmosphere and views as Polaris spins, and I have to recommend everyone try it at least once. Weekdays are typically easier to be seated and allow the staff to provide even better personal service.

This place is amazing. Chef Jennifer is fantastic and I have always had the most fantastic food here. I love the artistic look to the food and it tastes every bit as good as it looks. Entrees are priced between $30-$38. Chef James Gallo makes the best desserts that are very unique. I would highly recommend going to the Polaris at least once if you're in Altanta!

  • 4/5 Kimberly J. 4 years ago on Google
Lived the decor. Lots of art books all around. Mix between a lounge and restaurant. The kitchen is out on the main nonrevolving floor so its cool when you make your way by. Had a wonderful server. Food was amazing. The curried cauliflower soup 👌... Gave 4 stars bc the parking situation was a mess. The reservation said to valet and they validate for up to 2hrs. There was a conference going on when we went and valet was non existent.

The Polaris was a fantastic fine dining experience. The food was delicious and beautiful, the staff was helpful and attentive, the view was stunning and constantly changing. Great food and great people! I'll definitely be back.
