For me, I was super excited to have a birthday dinner here. I even spoke with someone there to ensure everything was set up for my dinner—the number of guests and time for us to be there. However, there was no transparency to the conditions of this establishment. We ordered drinks and food, and it wasn’t until after an hour of waiting was expressed to us that there wasn’t any food or a cook! That should have been expressed earlier so myself and my party guest could make the decision to stay or leave since parking is a fee. Worse bday experience! I won’t be back, and neither of my friends will either.

The service was horrible! There was a fly in my drink and the waitress(Bre) didn’t even want to replace it. She literally brushed me off and said “it must have flew in there after I gave it to you”. I can’t control that there are flies in the establishment. Poor customer service!!!

I actually really liked this spot. The food was delicious! I’ve eaten there on three different occasions. Food was hot and fresh everyone ! The salmon is really good. NOTHING IS FRIED, so that’s a plus. Hookah and drinks were amazing too! Very chill spot. So heads up... Wouldn’t recommend going if you’re looking to be super turnt.

Unfortunately my friends birthday was a horrific experience. They required her to make reservations and gave her strict guidelines on arrival time and departure time however they failed to give that same information to the prep cooks, grocery shopper and the cook :/ We sat two hours waiting on food that we ordered while drinking to be stalled. Oh we were given potato chips thank goodness bc we were starving and drinking which is a no bueno. We won’t be back. That’s unacceptable. Nobody else was in the restaurant so I guess everyone else had already gotten the memo :/ no we know!

Service could be better, food portions are small for the price. The lamb lollipops are good but small, the mashed potatoes take like they came from a box of flakes. The drinks are good and creative. The hookah flavors are good. This place just needs better service. It can be fun in here and there’s not many hookah places in old Fourth Ward/this neighborhood so they get busy. I’ve been multiple times and I would go again, I just know what to expect.

I took myself out on a random Tuesday and decided to check out some local bars and lounges. I stumbled across this place after overhearing two happily intoxicated ladies mention $2Tuesdays at Cru lounge. This was a cozy venue with send green mood lighting… I had a house margarita shot and two tacos all of which were nice for the price. My only complaint is that the music could’ve been reduced, no need to deafen your patrons also the food did take longer than expected considering it wasn’t packed.

Intimate setting, poor ventilation downstairs near the bar/kitchen area so you’ll smell like whatever’s cooking. Eyes starting burning like other reviews mentioned. Bartenders were great. Weekends can be more crowded so earlier arrival is suggested. Good time & good music. Blk owned so that is a plus. Area shares parking lot with an apartment complex so parking on the street is recommended.

The waitresses are NOT attentive at all! I had to ASK to be served. The venue is not even 1,000 sq feet, SUPER SMALL… so it’s not like they were busy or couldn’t see me. By the time I went and ordered my food and drink from the bartender, my food took extremely long! I waited almost a hour for ONE sandwich and fries!!!! Wasted $60. The smallest sandwich I’ve ever seen in my life. Also, they have improper ventilation and our eyes BURNED the entire time because of the smoke in the air! I literally felt like I had pepper spray in my eyes and had to leave. Their kitchen is also DIRECTLY behind the bar, which added to the smoke in the air and I left smelling like old chicken grease! This place is TRASH! Literally. GARBAGE!!!!!

Food & drinks was ok, beautifully waitresses, so I'm feeling good walking out the spot to find a DAM BOOT on my Carr and I was parked at the door of the spot. The workers seen me park and didn't say nothing.. and to make it worst the booting man was sitting outside in his car watching people go in. So that was another $75 I had to spend just to leave. Never getting me or my folks business again!!!

I went Here for my birthday a year ago. The music was Great and the vibe was ok. It was crowded to be so small but it was cool. My only problem was the waitress got us for almost $100 which was crazy. When it was mentioned to her she disappeared. When we asked to speak to the manager from another waitress she acted like she was to busy to pay us any attention. The money wasn’t an issue it’s the principle. I hope that waitress gets blessed because I guess she needed it more than me.

They have the chef cooking right next to the bar and the smoke will burn your eyes. The place is super small with very little dancing room. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Our bartender kept forgetting our drinks and appeared scattered, but always happy and smiling so I guess it balanced. The guy at the door was very nice and tried his best to please everyone with the cards he was dealt. We made the best of it and had fun. We were in town from Fort Lauderdale celebrating a birthday. Good luck finding parking, we parked down the street and Uber over. Bunch of empty spots in front but they were reserved.

Cru is my go to spot . It’s always a good place to go get hookah and light bites . The drinks will get you where you need to be everytime as well . This visit in particular the lemon pepper wings were perfection and the service was A1

First time in CRU and YOU have to go! It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The fries are to die for. IT WAS FIRE!! The service we received from BRE was so amazing and we will definitely be back again; she made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience.

This place so dope I'm writing the review while we are still here. Here with 5 other women. The place has such a nice vibe. Not over crowded. Servers are on point and customer service is even better. The food is amazing!! Place should get nore credit but I guess if you don't accommodate 200.peiple.your considered under rating. Bull. Give it a try if your in the mood to chill, eat and smoke with good service

I went to cru on a Monday there hookahs are free on Monday . So I asked the bartender for a hookah and everything was cool . The bill comes it said the hookah 45$ I told her to immediately get the manager while doing that she kept apologizing . The manager comes over here’s my story and tells me that she’s gonna side with the waitress and still make me pay 45$ It was the worst experience ever she tried to make it seem like I was lying about what I said . It’s like why WOULD I COME TO A BUSINESS ON MONDAY THAT HAS FREE HOOKAH TO PAY 45$ . I didn’t wanna argue with anyone so I paid it but I will never being attending that location again !!! People be careful because the manager had a attitude and immediately sided with the waitress . When I know exactly what I said !!

Coming from Canada I was looking for a hookah lounge to check out. CRU was recommended from online. My friend and I got there and the service was good until we go our hookah and literally within seconds the pipe burnt because the plastic touched the hot metal. No one came to check on us and when I tried to get any workers attention everyone just kept ignoring my friend and I. At that point we just wanted to pay and leave. The manager didn’t even offer any type of compensation due to the burnt plastic pipe and bad service. I wouldn’t recommend this lounge to anyone honestly.

It was a good vibe. I've been once before a few years ago but this time I actually tried the food and that quesadilla was good as hell lol I'd definitely order food from them on a regular. It took awhile for it to come out but nothing too crazy. I gave it 4 stars because the quesadilla was $12 and I also tried the Cru Georgia Peach (also really good) and it was $13 but my ticket came out to $41. I didn't question it and they didn't give me a receipt which was weird but it is what it is. I'd recommend this place if you have a smaller group. The DJ was lit too, played a good mix.

Don’t waste your time. It took forever to get seated. It was faster to seat yourself at the bar than to wait for host. Fried chicken grease was so hot, eyes were burning. It’s just not worth it. Another ghetto establishment.

I went last on Saturday and it was only 8 hookahs on the floor and they told me that’s it’s a hour wait on hookahs cause they were out of them. How? At cru HOOKAH lounge then told me the hookah broke while she was changing the coals when I got. SMH do better.

We were supposed to go to Escobar but they told us $60 just to park so the valet man for cru gave us a spot for less and persuaded us to try cru. Went inside the waitress was sweet, took our drink and food orders, brought out the hookah and it was a good time. The dj on fridays is from Florida so that was a plus, the vibe was everything. We had to move to the bar b/c of the reservations but it was a vibe and we will definitely be back especially on a Friday.

I ordered the Cru Seafood Plate which was a choice of salmon or shrimp (I chose salmon and shrimp), broccoli, and mashed potatoes. It was $10 more for the choice of both meats. I only got 3 shrimp. The salmon was not fresh, it was frozen, prepackaged salmon. The mashed potatoes were boxed, processed mashed potatoes. Your best bet is to stick to wings in a place like this which by the way you get 6 wings for $15. The hookah was good. Very small establishment, not much room to dance.

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!! This place is a scam..The sever Jasmine charged me someone else order then came back saying the manger refunded me back the money then charged me again for my order. It been days later in my refund have not been put back on my card. This place is trash will never come back here!!! SCAM SCAM!!! OK THIS IS THE 5th day still no refund.. they gave me their email address in never responded…

I love this spot! It’s all about the vibes. Hookah and great drink specials. Then as a bogus they have amazing food options. Lamb chops and crab cakes are my favorite. Recently, they were taking over by new management and they are just phenomenal. They’ve completely upgraded the inside and seem to be all about upgrading the customers experience. I can’t wait to see how much better this place will get! It’s already 5 stars. Best Cru location in Atl

Fantastic vibes! Chill spot! Forgive the misspelling of names however Liana, Mia and Corey were fantastic. Always attentive and friendly. Met some friends for some drinks, hookah and food and it was all great! I will definitely be back with friends again. Thank you for having such a well run establishment! 👍🏽

waitress charged the bill up and thought we didn’t notice. That’s lame, but we paid for it anyways lol… no biggie, we let karma do it’s thing. Hookah was good, drinks were good, it’s small inside but we liked it.

Yesterday was my first time going to CRU, and I was pleasantly surprised. The Nyak Rita’s slapped and the hookah was great as well. Alyssa was a vibe and although there were items we couldn’t get she definitely made the experience a good one. I’d definitely recommend and visit again.

The drinks were okay the space in here sucks it’s super small about the size of an apartment living room … the ventilation is horrible there is none there is no real kitchen mix that smoke with hookah I constantly had to step out to give my eyes a break and the waitress understood why all staff know there is a problem with inside the building I don’t understand how they are open.. the coal for the hookah is warmer out outside the building on the floor

Service was good,atmosphere not great and the vents need to be cleaned and cleared out my clothes and purse still smells like fried chicken,better lighten might help.having the kitchen at the bar not a good idea

When we first got there, the vibes were good. I didn't care for the lighting too much as it was causing strain to my eyes. The place was very small and the longer we sat there the more my eyes started burning. There was no ventilation. Everyone was smoking cigarettes, weed, hookahs and it wasn't the best combination. However, the food was AMAZING!!!!!! We got the street corn, the wings, the quesadillas, and the lamb chops. I would go back to eat, but maybe I would try another location.

Service was wonderful! Everyone was friendly, the food was good, drinks were good, the hookah was good. No complaints at all! There was five of us and none of us had anything bad to say. One of the waiters even ran out to us after we left to give us a ten dollar bill one of us had dropped.

Nice vibe . Great servers. But why it’s only ONE person cooking . Almost waited an hour for shrrimp. Y’all know shrimp Only take lkke 7-8 min to cook. I ont like that.
