We came here for the first time to check out Tuesday night Trivia and were very happy we did! We tried their Buffalo Cauliflower, Black Wings, and the Shaved Ribeye Dip and enjoyed everything we had!! We will definitely come back to try out more of their menu as well as some of the desserts, as they looked very delicious also!!

I came here today with my girlfriend to celebrate valentines day with her. The food was definitely worth the price, our filets were cooked perfectly and the lobster was delicious, which can be quite hard to do. Everything was an awesome experience and the two brothers were professional and provided great service. I would definitely come back here.

It is absolutely wonderful. I'm trying to show how great everything is. We ate all of it. The table started empty. Then it was filled with appetizers. The Black Chicken wings, Buffalo Cauliflower with Blue cheese chunks, Salmon dip with Pita bread is what we had. We ate all of it. When you go, reader, you will to. Our main entrees we're the same way. The Pork Ribeye is the juiciest Ribeyes One will ever have. Crab stuffed Salmon, Ribs, and Shaved Ribeye Steak sandwich completed our orders. It is Happy Everything here. I highly recommend that when near Big Oak Tavern Stop and Go in. A SuperDuper ShoutOut definitely goes to Big Oak Tavern. Thank You for Great Service,Great Food, Great Atmosphere.

This is my first time visiting the Big Oak Tavern and the experience was PHENOMENAL! The restaurant was set up within a historic building, the atmosphere was fantastic (also with great live music), and the food was Divinely Delicious! I had the crabmeat stuffed blackened salmon with a grilled lobster tail and it was the best grilled salmon I ever had!! Treat yourself and come enjoy this hidden gem!

I did not enjoy my experience. I ordered the crab stuffed salmon ($42, pictured below), it came out raw on the inside. Asked for another, got a completely different entree. My nephew’s grilled cheese came out cold and the cheese wasn’t melted. My sis’ drink was wrong… too many wrongs to make it right. Unfortunate, as it was my first visit. It will be my last. The live musician was excellent however, and my nephew enjoyed dancing to the music. That is the only reason I give 3 stars. You can spend $45 on a single entree literally anywhere else.🤷‍♀️

I visited this black owned establishment on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Upon arrival I noticed how raggedy and run down the parking lot was. The parking lot was not paved and a bit treacherous! It did have a lot of gravel and some holes in the parking lot. I was able to cautiously park my car. Keep in mind this parking lot is free, however it is located in the back of the restaurant. I feel the parking lot is definitely a safety hazard! Someone can get seriously hurt if they fall in this parking lot! The ownership needs to do better and pave this parking lot because it is terrible. I noticed the restaurant has a nice outdoor seating area right in the front that reminds you of a patio. Once I went indoors, I was greeted by the host who informed me I could be seated anywhere I desired. I noticed that the restaurant itself was clean and had nice open seating areas. I also noticed they have an upstairs area, which I believe hosts parties and events. They also have an upstairs patio area as well that looks great for outdoor seating in the spring or summer. I seated myself right in the front of the restaurant since they have beautiful large windows that let the sunlight in. Once I was seated, the waiter came over and provided me with a menu. I love that this establishment was offering breakfast and lunch this early in the day when I went. This means they had a plethora of menu items available. I ordered the following menu items: Buffalo cauliflower, Big oak black wings, Jalapeño cheese grits, and Roasted Fuji apple buttermilk pancakes. I wanted to have a mix of brunch and lunch together. Therefore I ordered menu items off the brunch and lunch menu. Keep in mind they do have a “10 stack one man eating challenge” on their menu. The waiter didn’t write anything down that I ordered and actually took my order from memory. I felt that he provided pretty good service. He even wiped the table off for me without incident at my request. I noticed that they have two restrooms for patrons to use. I used the restroom without incident which was clean. I also noticed they have a 95 A health score, which is pretty good. They also sell paraphernalia such as T-shirts, Seasonings, Cups, and other items at the front of the establishment. There’s also a pretty nice bar located towards the back of the restaurant, which we would be great for someone that is solo. You can make reservations online if desired, but I didn’t feel it was necessary since I came right at opening time. My food came to the table after about 20 minutes. I requested all my food to be brought to the table together. The Grits were pretty stiff and not good at all. I did not like the consistency. They didn’t have any type of give and it was like eating sticky rice. The Pancake was falling apart when it was cut. Although it had lightly crisp edges, the pancake completely fell apart and I couldn’t even really enjoy it. It had absolutely no firmness or consistency to it whatsoever. The Wings were crisp and seasoned well. I love the sauce they put on them and I greatly enjoyed the flavor. The Buffalo cauliflower was extremely delicious. I love the buffalo flavor and how they provide you with a whole cauliflower for this dish. Also the blue cheese was a great complement to the dish. I finished this portion of my meal without incident since it was the best part. I see why the Buffalo cauliflower and Wings come highly recommended. I’m not sure what other brunch items are good, but I was not impressed with the ones that I ordered. I didn’t even attempt to eat the Bacon that came with the Pancakes. It looked limp and not very crispy. I definitely could tell this place has a family friendly vibe. I wouldn’t not recommend this place, but definitely heed my warning when it comes to the food items I ordered. I probably would not return, but I think it’s a decent neighborhood place for those who live in the Roswell area to come and fellowship with friends and family.

We loved this spot on our Roswell Summer Sippin Cocktail Crawl. The black wings and buffalo cauliflower were awesome! We got 3 each for our group. They also went out of their way to put their special cocktail slushie in a pineapple.

In short, it could easily be so much better, and no we would not return. Food was just about acceptable, but took forever to arrive during a quiet period. Blasted with loud music at noon on a Sunday ? No thanks. Parking lot is a maze of massive potholes full of water. Really... just fill them in. Walkway at the back has rotted wood in sections and is borderline hazard. No menus on tables as they use QR codes, but no QR codes either, with staff having to shuffle them between tables... even when the place was still only half full. Seriously dude ! A brunch place around the corner had a one hour wait, this place had 80% empty tables when we arrived, we can only blame ourselves for not paying attention. I really want this place to do better. Will keep an eye on it and maybe try again in a few months. A few changes and attention to detail would see great improvement. I'd give it one star but two since the food was edible.

We had a delicious date night meal here! The Big Oak Black wings had a unique flavor with a slow heat at the end. The Buffalo Cauliflower was so good as well as the Summer Sippin! A must try spot and the live music was a nice touch.

First time here but will definitely be back. We ordered off of the Happy Hour menu and I had the best buffalo cauliflower, I have ever had and not too spicy. The Big Oak wings were really good too. The staff and bartender were beyond amazing!!! Next time I will try something off of the dinner menu and the future next time, I will hopefully have enough room for dessert.

Beautiful place, a nice upscale tavern. Food was good (great menu), drinks were good as well. Parking in the back. The staff is super nice and accommodating. They host events too, like music, wine dinners, game nights, etc (follow them on socials). Black owned!! Will definitely be back.

After hearing such rave reviews, I could not wait to try this restaurant! Drinks: 10/10 Food: 7/10 Service: 9/10 Went during lunch and it wasn’t crowed at all, so service was good. The drinks were delicious, had the margaritas. The buffalo cauliflower is some of the best I’ve had, it’s actually spicy. Definitely recommend all my vegetarians to try the cauliflower! Then ordered the portabella burger and it was okay. Not the greatest thing I’ve ever had, but not the worst. The texture just wasn’t for me and didn’t have a strong taste. Though, It was very filling and the fries were good. Unfortunately, I left with a bad stomach ache. Don’t know if it was the drinks or the food or both, but my stomach was UPSET. Would I try again? Yes. But wouldn’t get the burger. Overall experience, 4/5.

Went for brunch, had the crab eggs Benedict and a side of fried brussel sprouts. Food was delicious, no filler in the crab, which I liked, and the fries were crisped to perfection! Brussel sprouts had a nice salt. Mimosas were nicely balanced with Oj & champaign. Very clean restaurant and very friendly, thoughtful service. Great patio seating! Will definitely go back!

A nice hidden gem. They had outdoor seating where you could look up and hear the musician play. The live music was great, service was excellent, and the food was amazing. I’m not a fan of Mac and cheese as a meal, but the lobster Mac was super good. They brought me out another lobster because they said my first one was too small (I hadn’t even complained). That was super nice of them and much appreciated.

Excellent! We tried it out for my birthday and loved the family meal for take out. It was an excellent value and the food was delicious! We enjoyed it so much that we went back a couple days later for the fried chicken family meal, and that was also divine!
