Very good chicken and fish. The wait time is painful so order ahead of time. The price per portion will leave some folk hungry but they have great flavor if you have great patience. The staff was super friendly and kept checking in to let us know the food was still cooking. Personal Note: This feels like a fast casual food joint and the portions are small but they have big flavor. All except the Okra as that was extra trash. If flavor had an enemy it would be the Okra from this place. Please rethink that batter recipe.

Soooo good! The chicken was so crispy and juicy with the sides complementing the chicken. Service wasn’t too bad. Our waiters were busy with other tables and would frequently check on us when they were coming by with other orders.

The Fried Chicken Won today! Great taste, crispy, great flavor and fresh Raven is on point! She did an amazing job. She was very considerate, gave great suggestions for food and was very knowledgeable. We are from Colorado and it was a great visit.

If you don't want COVID-19, or a clean dining table, I don't recommend this place. The service is terrible. They don't sanitize the tables! I watched a guy clean up the table, he picked up the foam plates and plastic forks and grabbed some napkins off the table dispenser and wiped it down without one drop of any cleaner. We came to this restaurant because it's supposed to be "world famous" so we went in and there were only a few people at the tables and the rest was empty but they took about 6 minutes before they even looked at us to see why we were standing there waiting. She asked me across the room what we were waiting for so I pointed out the sign that says "please wait to be seated" and a server wasn't sure if she should find a table for us. She pushed together some tables and sat us down. Meanwhile 3 other tables filled up, so I'll tell you how it was when we were seated first, but our order was taken last. While we were sitting there for about 15 minutes, a couple had come in, one of the other 3, and they had taken their order way before us. All in all they took our order, waited 22 minutes to bring our drinks, don't expect a refill! After another 35 minutes we were served the food that was sitting so long it was room temperature. The food was so-so which is why I give 2 stars instead of 1. Check out the photos.

What can be said about Gus? Excellent fried chicken? Of course. Is this better than your national chains? Indeed. Is is the best one I ever had? Probably not but I cannot remember a better one. The beans were excellent and the other fixin’s were good too. I am sure the mac ‘n’ cheese has its fans, but I am not one of them. Now the star of the show is the Sweet Potato pie. Holy sweet desert. That is the perfect Pie. Balanced. Have it w/o ice cream and ask for it to be heated. The smell is intoxicating. Whatever was on your mind is gone, and your body is shaking in anticipation. You will not be disappointed. The vibes are from a 70’s restaurant. To close, don’t miss Gus if you are around.

The chicken here is juicy, delicious, moist, and crispy. The batter is just spicy enough to get the tongue tingling. Collard greens and potato salad don’t miss. Do yourself a favor and go with the dark meat.

We stumbled upon this place because it was close to where our conference was being held. I ordered the 3 tenders plate with ranch, mac and cheese, and potato salad. I got a water, as well. Damien was our server, and he was very nice! The food came out after about 15 minutes, and I was very excited. The food itself was delicious! The chicken had a good amount of heat, which went well with the ranch. The potato salad was creamy and savory. The mac and cheese was flavorful. The food had my nose running and wanting a lot of water, so Damien helped me out with a refill. All in all, this was an amazing experience and the food was delicious!

We walked through the door at 5:55pm on a Saturday night. Our order was finally placed at 6:04pm. We ordered fried green tomatoes which came out pretty quickly. However a few of the tomatoes were frozen. They were kind enough to replace them with a new order. Our meals of fried chicken and tenders were finally delivered to our table at 7:02pm. The chicken is crispy with decent flavor. However i would not recommend. No refills on tea in our entire hour here. The chicken is good. But i wouldnt come again.

While the food I ate was delicious, getting it was a little bit of a problem. No one seemed to know who was supposed to be my server. Everyone was very pleasant to talk to and tried to be helpful, but there must have been some miscommunication between the staff as I sat for ten minutes before getting my order taken. Then when I went to pay after eating I had to wait again while they figured out who my server was (again) in order to pay. Not sure why that was necessary since I had the ticket that needed to be paid in my hand, but it happened. Food was good but might not be worth the hassle.

It took them a while to sit us down. The chicken was good, but too spicy and it well done inside. The location was great within the area we stayed at.

One of my favorite places to eat when I'm in Atlanta. I love fried chicken and spicy food so putting these two together makes me HAPPY. The side dishes are delicious and the sweet tea is on point. The staff is very friendly but the wait time needs a little work. If you don't mind a little wait and are looking for some good ole southern fried chicken and sides check them out.

I don’t know if it’s world famous but I can see that it’s probably pretty popular around these parts. There’s nothing like a good southern fried chicken with some greens, coleslaw and fried green tomatoes. Guess this is located in the lower level of a mall so you have to look for in a bit. If you’re in Atlanta, it’s definitely worth checking out.

The meal tastes good. Coleslaw tastes delicious, French fries tastes good, collard green tastes okay. I don't eat collard green. My friends tasted them and like it. I ordered chicken thigh and wing. It tastes delicious. Little spicy. My friends ordered chicken tenders. It tastes okay. It was a bit overcooked. Other than that, I would come here for chicken thigh, chicken wing, and coleslaw.

Hubby and I were in town for the weekend from CA and wanted to try some yummy fried chicken so took to Yelp to search. Came across Gus's and was super happy about our choice! Their chicken is never frozen and you can definitely tell! The chicken was so moist and the seasoning was perfect! I'm a little wimp when it comes to spice so we ordered the 4 piece tenders meal ($12.05). But still wanted to try the real Gus's seasoning so we got a chicken breast a la carte ($3.95). Both were delicious but yes the chicken breast definitely had a kick to it. Their baked beans and slaw that came as sides to the 4 piece tender meal were also very flavorful and perfect sides. So happy we got to try Gus's and apparently they have some locations in Cali too! Yay!

I was in Atlanta for a convention and we’d seen Gus’ in a Google restaurant search. From the photos, it seemed charming with ambiance. They have a small menu but there was nothing lacking and the place was hopping. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was great (the chicken did have a little kick to it). Despite it being crowded, it wasn’t loud and we were able to have a pleasant conversation. If you order a soft drink, you get a souvenir cup. The person I was with had ordered water and was bummed about not getting a special cup. Just before we left, our server brought us our checks with a to-go refill for me (he brought it to be kind, I’d not asked for one). It came in a souvenir cup, which I was able to give to the person who’d ordered the water :). I highly recommend this place.

Love fried chicken so decided to begrudgingly try this “self promoting” place (hate self promoters, too egotistical of an approach for me), but boy was I surprised. First the slaw: crunchy cabbage, not soaked or softened by the sauce, not overtly sweet either, very solid as a side (the way a side should be) not to overpower the entree. Second fried okra: as good as it comes, solid, cooked to perfection with nice breaded crust Chicken: LOVED It. Not breaded beyond recognition, very lightly in fact, crust and the were skin very nice and Crunchy and full of flavor, just enough heat so that this hot and spicy food eater didn’t need to reach for any sauce to augment any flavors, perfect. I love dark meat so what I had were two thighs and a leg, all the pieces were cooked excellently and tasted just as good. Drink: sweetened iced tea, I usually stay away from it because most places just make it toooooo sweet, this was EXCELLENT, just sweet enough without leaving that aftertaste that ruins your next bite. Mac and Cheese: my wife ordered it, but man it was guuuuuuuuuuud! Gooey, cheesy, perfectly cooked noodles that held their consistency instead of being over cooked and a mushy mix in cheese. And the sauce and cheese and flavor were spot on.

Ordered two items but one is missing, the fired okra. We found out when we were back to Hyatt Regency, which is one block away. We called them and they refused to refund. They said they can deliver it after work, but we never got it. Fried chicken is good but service is terrible.

Im not the type to do reviews but knowing the value of this business makes me feel that it’s only right to comment on the customer experience. I’m a big fan of the quality of food served here. I recommend Gus’s to all of my friends and lately I have visited this location more often than I need to. However, a friend and I called into Gus’s to place a to-go order. The cashier told us to hold on as we heard her take an additional 3 to 4 orders and not return to us. Not making it a big deal, we hung up and decided to just order take out from the store. When we arrived and started to place our order, the cashier mentioned that they didn’t have any wings, so it would be at our expense to substitute. It was odd to me that there was no customer incentive, like offering a tender instead of a wing or anything logical to make the sale happen. Knowing that rules change, I accepted it and continued to order. I did ask to speak with the manager regarding a few things that did not sit right with me. The cashier yelled his names a few times from her micro before assuming that he wasn’t around. She turned to tell me and said that he wasn’t “in house”. 20 or 30 minutes go by and we hear our names being called to inform us that our order was ready. When we get to the front, I am asked if I would settle for a 3 wing meal for one of the three meals that I ordered. Instantly, I thought “what about being out of wings and trying to up sale me?” But I didn’t mention it. Instead, I took the offer. We paid for 2 ranch cups at separate times. The cashier put the first half into the tip jar, I followed her lead with the remaining dollar for my ranch. It was also very odd to my friend and I that she paid herself for ranch and not the store. But we are again, minding our business and moving forward. I start to look around the restaurant to notice a long line forming at the door, a few servers wandering around aimlessly, no manager, and no team work as a collective. Fast forward..we get our food and finally leave. When we get to the car I noticed that I didn’t get the additional small Mac and cheese that I ordered and I went back into the store. When I reached the counter, the restaurant had seemed to have gotten much busier and there was still no urgency amongst the manager-less crew. At 6:34PM after standing at the bar for way longer than expected, I notice that the original cashier is in the back of the kitchen checking her phones messages. Then I noticed her calling someone. This is perfectly fine, when you do not have a restaurant full of guest who haven’t been greeted. There was one server, who I had a pleasant dine in experience with previously, he and another gent were the only two trying to assist people who were clearly growing impatient by the lack of southern hospitality. I waited far to long for a scoop of a small Mac and cheese. Hell, we got our orders before the two women who ordered before us got their food. The whole experience was chaotic. It completely blew my mind that this is the way that a Friday night in Downtown Atlanta was going at one of the best chicken restaurants in the country. Being that I have worked under Wendy, the Owner and Operator, for many years, I know for a fact that this is not her expectations for her store. I left at 6:40PM to only get home and realize that they still got my order wrong. Out of the three meals that I ordered, I personally ordered a 3 piece Dark w/ Greens, Fries, and Mac and cheese. I didn’t get my fries. I have dined at this location many times. Never have I had to bring any insinuation that I have had a relationship with this company. What would be the point? So for me to have mentioned it and still not get any proper service is terrible. I don’t want anyone to get in trouble but I do want this location to tighten up. A similar manager-less moment happened when I dined in my very first time eating at this location back in the fall. The crew did not have each other’s best interest at heart and it’s obvious that they will let a server sink before reaching in to help. Great job Kitchen

This was a great find! My server Nycole was AMAZING! The food was fresh and hot even though I came during lunch with a minimal wait, also the wings have a nice spicy kick with every bite and the fried okra is nice and crunchy! I will definitely be back!

The chicken and service were great. Unfortunately, as with all liberal cities, you're required to run the gauntlet of homeless drunks and beggars. Definitely a deal breaker. Find another location or be prepared. Not a good place for children.

My friends and I came to Gus's after church and were seated right away. Our server was friendly and patient with us. We had a toddler with us so things were a bit hectic, but our server was so understanding. On to the food: we started with the fried green tomatoes and fried okra. Both were cooked well and nicely seasoned. The fried green tomatoes have a nice little spicy kick to them. We thoroughly enjoyed them and they were quickly scarfed down! The chicken is delicious and perfectly fried. I don't find it to be very spicy, but if you are someone who doesn't like any spice, it may be a bit much for you. The chicken was very moist and flavorful while still being fully cooked all the way through. The collards are also well seasoned. Wash it all down with some delicious sweet tea. You can only get tea like that in the south, so take advantage of it! If you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere with great music, friendly workers, and delicious southern food, be sure to choose Gus's!

The food was so good. Chicken was juicy and everything tasted fresh and perfect. The table was a little sticky and the restaurant was staffed a little light but our waiter was very good. Their hot sauce tasted homemade and perfect for the chicken. It was amazing and you should try it. Fried green tomatoes were delicious as was the fried orca. This is not a health food spot and I don’t think there is anything “good for you” on the menu but everything was delicious.

I honestly don’t know how this food doesn’t have a 5/5 rating ; this is one of the best chicken I have eaten in my life; Also the fried green tomatoes and the sweet potatoes pie Is a must try; staff if friendly, the owner is the nicest man and you can tell he put some love in his food; we loved it so much that we bought a bucket to go on the plane the next day ahaha… don’t take my word for it , try it for yourself… fair warning : it’s spicy but just right

Our lunch in this place was really good! As a chicken lover, I enjoyed the fried chicken and the sides (beans, slaw & fried okra). The spice they use to season the chicken is unique, and already perfect even without ketchup or any other condiments. Overall, food is great! Minus star just because our server is not friendly, not smiling at all and we felt like she's already tired on what she's doing. Lastly, the bathroom needs some improvement!

Read good reviews so wanted to give this place a shot. Very slow service. My girls got chicken tenders in which they said really didn’t have any flavor, their sides were bland. I got the 2 piece chicken and 2 sides- the chicken was juicy, okra was good and they gave a small hand full of fries.

We stayed in downtown Atlanta this past weekend. Although the area was not what it once was, it was a pleasure to see Gus’s hadn’t changed! A young man was too busy watching football to assist us at the counter, blessing in disguise. SAM to the rescue! What a breath of fresh air, vibrant, sense of humor, and knew the menu like she owned the joint! Thanks SAM and GUS’s Chicken for being a beacon of light in downtown Atlanta!

Okay so the first time I saw Gus’s I was walking past them to go to CVS and all I smelled was the fried chicken. That’s when I knew I had to go lol Finally got around to going and I went with a friend. The menu is what you would expect from like a chicken spot somewhere in the country but the food was amazing!! I’ll be honest the chicken was spicy to me and my friend but it was so good I really didn’t care. I had the 3wings meal with potato salad and greens. Greens were great! Potato salad was mid at best, I’m not a fan of potato peels in my potato salad but that’s just me. I’m pretty sure my friend got the 2 piece meal which was a breast and a wing with Mac&cheese and greens. He said the Mac & cheese tasted like Kraft and I told him it honestly looked like Stoffers lol full sized chicken, no baby portions and our food came out really fast. I gave you them 4 stars because almost every table except like 2 had no salt & pepper or ketchup. I had to get up and go look for it. We also got fried green tomatoes and they were amazing.

This was my first of seven locations I've visited! The spot that got be obsessed. This chicken is phenomenal. Always fresh. Always juicy. Always crisp. Perfect spice. Love the okra, pickels, tomatoes, beans, slaw and mac. The staff is always friendly. The restaurants are always clean. I can't brag enough about this place. Hope to visit all locations one day!

It's really the world's famous but unfortunately the half chicken we ordered was a little off, chicken ain't that hot and they put the sides that we don't want. It's fine if they told us that they're gonna replace the beans and coleslaw with okra but it never happen. Hopefully next time let the customers know if they gonna replaced something so the customers won't be disappointed. It's really good with those sides, so without those sides in my opinion it'll be a regular fried chicken from Walmart.

After a meeting downtown a group of 5 of us walked to Benihana for dinner not aware that they had gone out of business. Since this was next door we decided to give it a try even though there was a significant wait due to many people that were there for a conference in the nearby hotel that were also waiting to eat. We waited 35 minutes for a table but we were seated without menus. We sat discussing the meeting and other things for a significant amount of time before we realized a server had not been to our table yet. Since we didn’t have anywhere else to be we decided as group to see how long we could sit there before someone that worked there noticed that we had not been served anything. The answer was 43 minutes! An unapologetic server finally realized we were in her section, brought us menus and took our drink order. After getting menus we realized all the chicken options on the menu were listed as spicy as well as many of the sides. When our server returned with drinks we inquired if any of the chicken entrées could be made plain, not spicy. Our sever then got very snotty with us and replied “no, all the chicken is served spicy, that’s why the sign says Gus’s Famous Spicy Chicken!” We informed her the word spicy was not in the name at all and we had no way of knowing from the sign outside that all the chicken was only served spicy. Again, no apology for her outburst or misinformation. How do you work somewhere and not know the actual name of the place on the side of the building? Now we were in a predicament as 3 members of our group could not eat spicy food. After being there for over and hour and half 3 of us ordered grilled cheese sandwiches and mashed potatoes from the kids menu for dinner while the other 2 got to enjoy this allegedly famous chicken. At least we know not to come back.

Came here from out of town and this will be my to go to spot for fried chicken. The spicy chicken had so much flavor it was not greasy or too hot. It was just right , well cooked. Even the baked beans had flavor and I don’t eat baked beans. Very inexpensive and worth the money. If you are in the area and looking for some good fried chicken look no further.

Da South Got Sumthin 2Say!! I'm so glad that we searched correctly for this restaurant! We were on a trip with 3 small children with big appetites! We were in town for the Universal Soul Circus and the Georgia Aquarium! We had some time to eat in between so we stayed downtown! Its about a 15 min walk from the Aquarium depending on your fitness level lol. Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken was our lunch of choice! I loved the music choices and family atmosphere. We didn't spend alot and we were full! The chicken has a special flavor just enough spice! It was crunchy and crispy 😝The baked beans and slaw were awesome along with the collard greens and Mac and cheese! Oan: can't forget the fried green tomatoes 😋😝1. GOOD FOOD 2. FAMILY ATMOSPHERE 3. GOOD LOCATION 4. GREAT PRICES!!! 👍 😋😋

The food was so good. Honestly this is the best fried chicken I’ve ever had, the Mac and cheese, beans and pecan pie were so delicious. I’ve been to so many fried chicken restaurants around the country but this beats them all. Service is slow and you will need to flag a waiter to help you but the food really is worth the wait.

Went in prepared for a long wait for food based on the reviews so I was pleasantly surprised when it only took about 15/20 minutes (dined in on a weekday). The fried chicken was piping hot when it came out, super crispy and delicious. Service is sparse but the staff are kind. Got a slice of pie as well but best just stick to the chicken here.

Recommended by locals, we stopped by for an early dinner and Gus's did not disappoint. We ordered fried green tomatoes as a starter, two small dinner plates, a side of mac 'n cheese, and coconut pie. Perfect portions, tender and tasty. Friendly staff, great vibe. We highly recommend Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken for dine in or take out.

I lived in Memphis for 12 years. We often went to Gus’s Chicken Downtown Memphis. The chicken was always flavorful and delicious. This was my first time eating at Gus’s Chicken here in Norcross. The chicken was tasty and well done , but was lacking the flavorful taste that I’m accustomed to at Gus”s Memphis. Nevertheless, it’s worth a try if you’ve never had Gus’s Chicken.

I was visiting from Oklahoma and was told I had to come have Gus's. The restaurant was small, clean, and comfortable. Waitress was friendly and fast, and you could tell she meant business. I ordered the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. They must've come right out of the frier, which I very much appreciate, and I burnt my lip, so I pouted during my wait for them to cool off enough. Cornmeal batter was crispy and tasty. Tomato was fresh, and the ranch was homemade buttermilk. For my meal, I got a thigh, drumstick, and a tender. Sides were beans and fries. Beans and fries were good, but they were beans and fries. One of my students ordered Mac & Cheese, and let me try it. It was pretty good and made in house. The chicken on the other was perfect!! Perfect crunch. Perfectly juicy. Perfect flavor. Perfect amount of heat in the batter. If you are in Atlanta, I highly recommend grabbing Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

For the record, I need you to understand the level of excitement that came over me at the fact that I was finally able to try Gus’s! I have a girlfriend who has told me on more than one occasion that Gus’s was the best fried chicken she has ever had in her life. As such, I had to go! After years of saying “I’m going” I was finally able to make my way in. I love that there is parking directly across the street from the building. Upon walking in I was drawn to the cafe style setup presented. It looks like a weekday cafe mixed with a small family restaurant. Great aesthetic for a friend lunch or personal meal. We were seated upon entry and greeted by our waitress Nicole. Nicole walked over very upbeat and all smiles. She was super friendly and instantly connected with us as we laughed and joked as we discussed our drink choices. Note to Management, Nicole’s service was above standard and worth recognition. I decided on a Sweet Tea and the 2 Piece. For the record they do NOT have cornbread. Nicole comforted me by letting me know I wasn’t alone in my thoughts that cornbread would be on the menu. LoL! The Sweet Tea was Southern Sweet Goodness and exactly what I needed on a warm Spring Day. As I sit here and write this I want some more. LoL!! The chicken was a true experience. Crunchy on the outside. Moist and meaty on the inside. Well seasoned with a noticeable blend of flavor on the meat as well as in the batter along with being perfectly cooked. This 2 piece hit the spot in the exact way that was needed at the moment. I will admit, when it comes to GREAT Fried Chicken, Gus’s has made its way to my Top 10 List!!! If you are near a Gus’s I suggest you make it a point to stop in and grab you an order. Make sure to sit down before taking a bite as it will cause a sensation of flavor-goodness throughout your whole body. HaHa!!

Great, spicy flavor. Super crunchy, crispy, juicy, and good size. Everything was great!! The mac and cheese is some of the best i’ve had in a long time. My favorite food is fried chicken and this place is probably one of my favorites. Super quick, super friendly staff, super down to earth, and reasonable price. + the chess pie is great too!!

It was our first time here. At first, I was skeptical because the place looked empty. There were a few diners. The young lady server was amicable. The music in the background was a nice touch, soft r&b. The food came out promptly. The chicken was moist, flavorful, and delicious! The sides were also really good! The only thing is they use Styrofoam for all dine in too, which is not environment-friendly, but all was good.

Went and experienced Gus’s World Famous and it was a HIT! The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and well lit. It gave me the down home family restaurant feel! The chicken was crispy, freshly cooked, and juicy!

Had fun visiting Gus’s for the first time during my lunch break. Our server was fun and kept a smile on our face. She was very accommodating as well. We all tried the lunch special that was very reasonably priced. The fried green tomatoes were nice and piping hot. The chicken is very crispy but could use a tad bit more seasoning. Still very good. I tried the Mac n cheese with baked potatoes. Let’s just say my plate was empty at the end. Thoroughly Gus’s.

Fried deliciousness...and the okra and Mac & cheese were the bomb. Definitely a must try!!!

My brother and I tried this place out based on reviews and proximity of hotel we were staying. Unfortunately, I was not impressed. Chicken was ok but I’ve had better. I had a 3-finger chicken plate with potato salad and slaw. Sides were good and the chicken finger were enormous. Sweet tea was good as well. My brother went for the bone-in chicken and said it was extremely hot, so he really didn’t eat a lot. If you are into the really hot style chicken in may be more for you. Service was friendly but a little slow on coming back to the table when needing refills to cool the burning mouth from the chicken. If I’m the area again, I would probably search out a different choice for my meal.

The service was slow. The chicken was greasy. The waitress didn't have on a belt and kept pulling on her pants. Not only was everything paper we were given sunbeam bread and one person was given the end bread. To sum it was it a plate that could have been cooked at home.

O M G!!! The best fried chicken I've had in a long time! Be warned... It is spicy 🔥 but man is it good. Our server was attentive and very friendly.

Chicken was good and so was the Mac and cheese...wasn't a fan of the baked beans though..wish they had different levels of heat so my kid could enjoy..but maybe in the future they will...thats where they lost 1 star...but overall it was good

The chicken was great! The fried pickles and tomatoes were good too! No complaints. Check it out if in Atlanta.

While in Atlanta, this is definitely a spot to try. Chicken had exceptional flavor! Okra and the mac & cheese had a unique kick too. Potato salad was on point. Yum!!

Fried pickle spears were so good! The chicken was good too but didn't come out piping hot like I like🙂.

Chicken was very good. I liked the potato salad too, tho I got a few egg shells in mine. Cole slaw was good. Beans weren't my favorite. Service was a bit distracted which is why I gave 4 stars.

We went to eat here Sunday, the place wasn't busy, but customer service was poor. We waited for our food for 1 hour. We ended up taking the food to go. If you want to eat here I would recommend to order in advance. The fried chicken was good.

My first time experience here was great. Sam was friendly and her customer service was on point. There was a slight mix up on my friend’s and I’s orders, but she took care of it with ease. I ordered the 3 piece dark with mac and cheese as a substitution for the slaw and it was delicious. I also had fried okra and that was good. Normally, I wouldn’t eat beans, but that was surprisingly delicious. Overall, I was so satisfied with my experience here. I highly recommend anyone wanting to try good ol’ southern fried chicken to try this place because the fried chicken lives up to its name.

Amazing food we had the 2 dark meat plate with coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad and Mac salad. The chicken was to die for great on the crummy scale for the skin Yumm. And I won’t lie it was spicy but a good level of spicy. But that’s why you get the sides to help calm the spice down. And cuz they are delicious. Very clean with respectful and friendly staff. All staff wore mask and everything was cleaned efficiently. Please don’t miss out on this Atlanta gem!

Horrible staffing. Chicken was pink not cooked all the way through. Sides were delicious. Will not be returning to this Gus's. Never had poor service and food from any of the past Gus's restaurants in multiple states I've visited before. Twice is my limit at any location of chances to get it write I can spend my money somewhere else.

Service wasn't great and seasoned fries weren't seasoned. You had 3 servers all at the bar but only one taking to-go orders acknowledged your presence.

The restaurant in Chamblee was very nice with great ambiance and service. Unfortunately, the chicken was the worst I have ever experienced. At first, we thought a simple mistake had been made and the breast was overcooked, so the hostess very gladly brought another. Both pieces of chicken were so overcooked, my friend had to dig into the center to find any part to eat. Maybe this is the intended mode of cooking, but this does not match the wonderful smell of cooking chicken from outside. To get a crust like that on skinless chicken, the chicken had to be over cooked very deeply, and the outer part of the piece of chicken was not edible. The hostess was so very nice and did her best to resolve the problem, but there was no solution in the room.

Like the cup says if you haven't eaten here you haven't really eaten fried chicken. The meat is tender and juicy. The batter is delicious as are the desserts. Can't recommend this place enough.

Flew in from the Bay Area and went straight to Gus’s after checking into the hotel! Good was great, and service was even better! Nikaya was kind and responsive to our requests and even gave us a small bowl of Mac and cheese to try after we mentioned it. Great job Gus’s! Y’all just got two new customers for life!

😠 DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Terrible service! The server cannot remember what you ordered…it cannot be that hard to write it down. Friends waited for (Hennessy) drinks…at the same table for an hour and 15min. It took the bartender 3 tries….It took over an hour to get food even with a reservation. YOU CAN...
