As always the OK Cafe produces great home style meals and by theamount of customers that come through their doors. The food is FANTASTIC, the Servers are out of this world... Whenever we return to Atlanta we plan on stopping in .... Below they ask what we recommend and we checked a few BUT there are many more items that should be on that list.. - Braised Pork Chops - Salmon Croquettes - Meatloaf

I’ve driven past this restaurant many times and finally visited for a meal with mentor. It has an old school retro feel from the pen and paper waitlist at the front door to the waitstaff bring clothed in diner style uniforms. Let’s get to the good part… so many options to choose from and everything sounded delicious. I opted to order the country fried steak and it was stellar!!! Needless to say I’ll be coming back for more items in the menu. 👌🏽

Upscale diner that's immaculate. The food was good and server hustled to get everything right. The bathrooms were very clean. The line to get into the restaurant was very long, but worth the wait. Most notable was the filter water. A nice accouterment.

Great interior and absolute awesome staff. So friendly and comforting you barely find nowadays. Food is great, great variety of options for all day. Prices are great and the place was very clean and organized. Almost no wait. Love the OK cafe. Had a cheeseburger, fresh crunchy fries and OJ and coffee on the side.

It’s a nice local Atlanta classic restaurant with great service. The servers have this nice good looking old school uniform which is unique and I like it. Oh and there’s also a take away section in the back which is pretty cool because you get to select whatever you wanna eat. The milk shake was really good. The crispy fried chicken wasn’t oily which was just want I wanted. Over all, the food and service was great and I’ll definitely come back soon!

This place is so good! Great comfort food, the thanksgiving turkey plate was amazing the hero was the cornbread dressing. One of the last throw back diners left. Our waitress was so nice. Visiting Atlanta highly recommend the trip over for a meal.

Oh my goodness! The food was absolutely delicious!! If you haven’t had this food yet you should! Absolutely a great place to eat!! I have absolutely nothing bad to say except I had to wait my turn for a booth but the wait was worth it!! Staff was just as amazing!!

Second time eating here. Short wait , signed in upon arrival. waitress seemed rush which was fine I’m sure they are short staff like everywhere else. Food came out & the presentation was awful. And a little bland. I ordered salmon croquettes and my husband ordered the crispy chicken , both dishes were $15+ and looked like they should not have been more than $10. The food on the Togo side looked visually more appealing. I probably won’t be returning anytime soon.

This is the most comfortable and enjoyable restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner in Northwest Atlanta. It’s a Staples and a place that everyone in the area knows exactly where it is. Easy place to get in and out of, excellent weight, staff, and food quality. They also have a carry out area. Top tier 🇺🇸

OK Cafe is still outstanding. Eat in with table service not a problem. Order to go customers are asked to order online. The only way around that is to sit at the counter and place your order. The waitress will bring you a large paper bag and large plastic to go trays. You've got to move the food from the plates to the trays. Time from placing your order to walking out is less than ten minutes. Moving the food is a pain but only takes a few minutes. Awesome meal at home. Quality food. Large portions. Pay at the counter when you leave. Tip your waitress when you pay. I highly recommend you visit OK Cafe when you want to eat a great Atlanta home cooked meal. The meal comes with everything you need. Thank you

Love this restaurant. Fresh, delicious southern comfort food. Collard greens & real corn muffins today were the best I have ever tasted! Squash casserole was just perfect and flavorful. Green beans were amazingly delicious. Southern Fried chicken was full of flavor & tender with crisp batter. The servers are quick & friendly. Price range is on target. Worth the wait.

This place is always consistent with service and food, not to mention an ambiance that goes very well with the menu. I started with the Vegetable Soup; hearty and succulent. For main course, the Chicken (grilled) Caesar Salad, fresh and tasty. For dessert the Apple Pie was served hot with whipped cream, yummy. I have been patronizing this place for the last 15 years and never really had a bad experience.

If you’re looking for large portions and excellent service, check out Ok Cafe in Atlanta, GA. Visiting family and they went on and on about Ok Cafe. So the entire family went for dinner, and we had an awesome time. We were a rather large party, so we sat in the rear of the restaurant near the money tree. Which was a total hoot! Kiddos and adults chowed down on the nuggets and French fries appetizer while waiting for our main entree. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing.

Another stop for lunch did not disappoint. Service was attentive and friendly. The special of the day, 8 large fried shrimp with choice of two sides two sides, was perfection. Freshly carved turkey served with dressing and choice of two sides was enjoyed by my mother. Plenty of leftovers to take home for later. Even those with the biggest appetites may find themselves requesting a take home box for leftovers.

Stopped here on the way to Flordia about a hour before closing and I must say, such a GREAT decision. Server was very polite and food was the best I have ever had. Everything made fresh here and it shows. The decor was comforting and unique. If you are passing through Atlanta, this is a must stop. Believe me, you wont regret it.

This was one of my go to places. My husband and I went in on December 24th, 2020 for late lunch. The sign said zero wait time. We were sat right away and told our server would be right with us. However, several servers waited on other people who had been sat after us. We were ignored for over 15 minutes. We got up and started walking out. The manager or shift mgmt. Asked us how our food was and we told her we didn't get waited on to eat.so she said "come back in and let me get someone to help you". With that we declined. We had already waited and plenty of staff was on duty and they were not crowded. Was it because we are an interracial couple? I don't pull that out as an excuse, but what would you think? I'm so disappointed in OK, This place has the food I love, but I won't sit by and be treated as though we don't exist. ;(

PLEASE DONT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. THE FOOD IS HORRIBLE. I ordered over the phone dinner for 3 and paid with my credit card. This was my first and last time ordering from this restaurant. I work at a large facility near the restaurant thinking l would not have to cook after working late, but that didn't happen. l will advise my coworkers not to patronize the OK Cafe ever. The FOOD WAS DISGUSTING, no seasoning at all, l have never had meatloaf with carrots in it but no salt. l ordered 3 different dinners and my family couldn't eat either dinner. I spent $60.00+. I was appalled to find out with each dinner there was a $3.00 UPCHARGE for each CARRYOUT, making my total 51.00 + $9.00= $60.00 for nothing. I was not informed when l ordered and paid over the phone about this UP CHARGE FOR CARRYOUTS. Be informed, this place is a ripoff.

I don’t like leaving this review but I must be truthful. This restaurant is an all time favorite of mine because it’s been here forever, the atmosphere is really cool and my family has good memories here and the service is great. Today we ordered two identical meals, country fried steak, Waldorf salad and sweet potato. The cornbread wasn’t good at all, it tasted very floury. The steak was thin and overcooked underneath a lot of breading which fell off. Waldorf salad was good. Saved the potato for later it looked good. I could have had a better meal for less somewhere else. I wanted it to be good but it fell short, sadly.

Loved this place. Foods were awesome and great service. Great casual place to have good time with friends and family with good food. We had the chicken pot pie and Rotisserie chicken with with lemon pepper-tamari for brunch. The corn muffin came in the sides were good too. Both dishes were really good! Would recommend this cafe to everyone.

We took my husband & family to OK Cafe yesterday for our Father’s Day celebration. The food there just never disappoints. I had the turkey dinner. Delicious! The squash casserole & macaroni & cheese are so good! Everyone enjoyed the food & the friendly service.

The food was fantastic. Wonderful burgers and amazing shakes. The cornbread is some of the best I've had with the rich flavor and moist texture. The service is prompt and attentive. As far as drawbacks goes, the amazing food comes at the cost of long lines so plan ahead. Waitlists go quickly but it can be a patience game, however, it is well worth the wait.

Very good! Random but make sure that you get some of their fresh squeezed orange juice and the homemade ranch. You will not be disappointed. My table really enjoyed this restaurant choice. Deeeeeelicious. What else can I say. When we go to "BUTTHEAD", we try to stop at One of our Favorite Restaurants. Today we had Lunch at The OK Cafe. Everything is FRESH Daily, No Frozen or Canned Vegetables at this Place. My Staple is the Chicken Pot Pie ($14.95) with 2 Sides. The LOADED Sweet Potato is Great. The Fresh Waldorf Salad is "The Best". You won't Go Wrong with Anything. Everything is OK at OK Cafe. Yummmmmers.

Great food and great service. Also love the decor and atmosphere. I’ll be back again. I have been here a few times and always good food. We had passed this place a few times, article in the local newspaper and wanted to try. Really cool atmosphere, felt like going back in time. All the food was very good, the only reason I don’t get five stars is because of the portion size for price paid. Some of the best milkshakes you’ll ever have, hands-down. Will definitely be back.

Came in for Brunch, talk about having it together...the food came out hot, fast and fresh. Our server was full of energy and so nice, wish I got her name but she was a young cute Asian girl. On the way out the chef stopped what he was doing to let us pass and told us thank you on the way out. He was smiling and all his cooks were, southern hospitality at its best here.

Did a take out. Got French toast and smoothie. The French toast was really bad and had this bitter taste to it. When I called and told the front desk, they hung up. When I called again, they just didn’t say anything and it was like they were trying to avoid us. Definitely a shady place. Wouldn’t go again.

Was looking for a place to have lunch, Just happened to be driving by and thought it looked like a nice place to stop. Glad we did. Even though we came in through the wrong door, carry out side, Staff was very friendly, showed us to the front, so we got to look at all the decor as we made our way throug. It's surprising bigger then it looks. Very relaxing, and fun place to enjoy a great meal. Our waitress was very fast and checked up on us throughout our meal. I had a milkshake with my lunch, it was GREAT!!!! They not only bring you your shake in a tall glass, but also the mixing container, which is holding the rest of your shake. Just like the good old days. Again Food was great, filled up my tank for sure. The price, very reasonable, especially for what you get. We will be back, Great Place.........

Don’t forget that you pay the cashier up front and not your server directly. It says this on the bill, but we always forget and sit there til it dawns on us. Ha. I enjoyed my hearty biscuits and gravy.

Found by chance just off of the interstate. It felt like I traveled back in time. Wonderful atmosphere of a time in America that has since passed us by. Food and service were both wonderful. If you love a good malt you can't go wrong.

Great menu, great food, and excellent quick service. Very clean restaurant. Wait staff wears visors. A little pricey, but worth it!

This place has a nice retro feel; even the servers have the old-timey diner uniforms. The chicken pot pie was a generous serving and oh-so-DELICIOUS! The banana split was also huge and tasty. The chocolate cake was a little dry though. Finally, the coffee was just plain awful. Overall a terrific meal...will definitely come back.

I did not realize until last night that the OK Cafe serves beer and wine. They offer just one Chardonnay and one Merlot, each $7.99, but the friend who was with me was happy to see that on the menu. We enjoyed the shaved onion rings before our meal of salmon croquettes. We enjoyed all the sides, but the kale salad was especially good.

This place looks small from the outside yet it's huge from the inside. The women's and men's bathrooms were both impeccably spotless and well stocked. The decor is cute and nostalgicaly old school, loved that the waitresses were all in vintage uniforms. The restaurant was very clean, the staff worked well together and the flow from waiting to ordering was smooth and timely. Loved the quality of ingredients stated in back of menu and when the food arrived it showed! The prices are fair for the quality and portions. Appreciated that they offered an herbal iced tea (it was an unsweetned red zinger today), the kids shared a dry aged porch chop w/ black eyed peas, 3 cheese macaroni with a corn muffin (they ate a large portion of it, leaving only the macaroni as it was very rich), i had the tuna salad sandwich with onions added on sourdough + a side a fries, it was fantastic! My husband had the chicken pot pie with collard greens and black eyed peas - the whole meal was a hit! This will be our new go to location from now on! I also loved that on one end of cafe they have a market with a hot grab and go section and desserts! Definitely a good idea of you want a good meal for the road or picnic! Will be returning and recommending!

Used to work up here a d go occasionally. Today was my first visit I think since the Fire. I know, too long. SUPER food, great service from Laura. I really wish this place was closer to my home. If you ha e not been or have not been lately, give it a try. Usually have to wait for a table but worth iy.

I love this place!! I always try to come at off hours so I don’t have to wait! I pretty much order the same thing every time - the turkey avocado bacon sandwich with sprouts. This time, I didn’t have the bread. 10/10 for taste. Love how the fries are crispy on the outside yet soft in the middle. The service is excellent as well - always very kind and polite. Very southern diner charm. Super sweet and attentive wait staff!

We are new to the area. It’s been a long while (decades) since I’ve been in a restaurant where everything seemed to matter to them. Service, atmosphere, cleanliness, food quality. It’s an older place, but everything is well-maintained in every aspect. Such a pleasant experience. Gives me hope in the good of America. We will be back!!

Great spot for lunch. Extra friendly service. Had a wonderful time visiting with our guests before we headed to the airport. Definitely try the meatloaf sandwich. Delish!

This restaurant is popular with my family but this is the 1st time I'd visited in quite some time. We arrived around 11AM on Sunday and were seated right away. Timing is everything; when we left, the line was out the door. My son had the mushroom omelet, which was pretty big, but I was surprised that cheese cost extra. And it doesn't come with any sides, so his cheese grits and sausage were also extra. All of it must have been tasty because there wasn't a crumb left when he was done. His only complaint was that the fountain Coke tasted weird. It was definitely not the normal color and the taste was off. I imagine they need to adjust the ratio on their machine. My daughter had the grilled cheese and fries which she also polished off. I had some veggies and a power shake. Everything was delicious but I was disappointed in the quantity. For $4.75 per vegetable, I expected more. The shake was good. To be clear, these are not milkshakes. They're protein powder with fruit blended in. It was what I expected. Service was pretty good but it definitely became more sporadic as they got busier. They have an option that allows you to pay from your phone using the qr code on your check. The process was quick and straightforward.

As travelers, it was nice to find a local spot away from the busy downtown area. We waited 20 minutes during lunch, and it was worth it. It is classic American food with the charm and the nostalgia of the late XX century cafe/diner. The menu offers a wide range of classic American comfort foods that are absolutely delicious and seasoned just right; we highly recommend the fried cheese grits (perfect in flavor and crunch) and the tomato basil soup that was served that day. It was evident that their commitment to quality ingredients and attention to detail set them apart from your average cafe. The overall experience was enhanced by the attentive waitstaff who embraced their roles wholeheartedly, making for an immersive dining experience truly reminiscent of retro diners' past. Thank you, OK! Cafe

My husband and I have been going to OK cafe for about 7 years and we have never had a bad experience. The southern comfort menu never disappoints. I am a big fan of the roasted turkey dinner but I also enjoy the crispy fried chicken, pot roast, and chicken pot pie. My husband and I always split the pimento cheese or fried pickle as well, both of which always hit the spot. And of course you have to finish your meal with a creamy milkshake or a fresh cobbler. My only complaint is the lack of a changing table. I was very disappointed when I had to go outside to my car and change my baby in the heat on our most recent trip to OK Cafe.

This place is literally like sitting at your Grandmother's table eating her breakfast. The food is great and so is the service. The pancakes 🥞 😋 are my go to! They make you feel warm and fuzzy inside! But I can only order 1 because they come as big as the plate!

Always an enjoyable dining experience. Had dinner here Monday night (15Jan’24)at 7:30PM and was pleasantly greeted by the hostess/cashier and seated immediately. The OK cafe is great for home cooking /comfort food. Our server, Chanel was personable and very customer focused. I ordered the Turkey dinner with broccoli and the outstanding Waldorf Salad. The restaurant brings back memories of the all American diner from years past. Always great and consistent food with excellent friendly service. I would recommend and will dine at OK cafe again.

😠 DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Terrible service! The server cannot remember what you ordered…it cannot be that hard to write it down. Friends waited for (Hennessy) drinks…at the same table for an hour and 15min. It took the bartender 3 tries….It took over an hour to get food even with a reservation. YOU CAN...
