We've loved Papis for years, but we've been relegated to take out during the pandemic. I stopped ordering through take out services (e.g. Doordash) because they always seemed to forget part of my order (particularly drinks) when I ordered from that particular restaurant, and I'd have to spend 30 minutes on the phone with the company trying the get a credit. When I realized the Krog Street location was now open, we were thrilled so I placed an online order last night. I was surprised to get a text and email pretty quickly confirming that my order was ready for pickup, but we decided to head over anyway. When we got there my husband said the front desk person first said he didn't have an order under my name, then told him it would be ready in "2 minutes" (again, we received confirmation that it was ready BEFORE we left home). 10 minutes later, he got our food. The biggest shock though was opening the entree containers. They smashed all the foods together (rice, beans, meat, maduros, sauce, what appears to be pico de gallo) so it looked like an absolute mess (please see pics). I didn't even want a sauce, but the online service forces you to pick one. I've never in my life seen a restaurant mix a side sauce into your food (and not serve it on the side). Our kids wouldn't eat any of it (for obvious reasons). I was absolutely shocked they would serve food this way. I've ordered takeout from Papis MANY times. Entrees are always served in the multi section type containers so each item is separate. Beans are always served in a separate container with their natural juice. I've never seen anything like this - it's not an appetizing presentation to say the least so beware if you order from the new KSM location. I suspect it's only happening there and hopefully they will correct these issues as the food is usually quite good. I will continue to support them on the rate occasion when I can trek to Ponce/Myrtle in person, but the KSM location has some serious issues.

Empanadas were filled with good meat. Usually they aren’t and the meat is unrecognizable. 5 Star. The fresh fish and Chicken sandwich were great also. They had other great looking options. Nice space and more room than appears outside. The plantains and Yuca don’t have much flavor and the salad is basic, very basic. I still think this is a great spot and didn’t want to take a star off for the basic salad. Was able to find seating on a busy Sunday

For me this place was amazing and worth more than 5 ⭐️. Food is very tasty, drinks on point, the staff is friendly and the bartender (lady, unfortunately can’t remember her name) was specially nice. I 100 % recommend this place.

Absolutely wonderful in every way! Service was superb and the food delicious. I honestly can't wait to go back!! The only thing was the parking. I had to park in the street and received a $75 ticket. I was not aware of the very limited parking adjacent to the building. I would suggest you try to park there. Other than that the food, atmosphere, and service at this place was top notch!!

Very delicious Cuban food. This taste really authentic and we had a variety of things. The appetizers are amazing. Delicious empanadas.

Tasty and nice restaurant in Atlanta... Every time we have the opportunity to visit Atlanta, Papi's is a fixed stop to go to taste their dishes and cocktails, the attention of the servers are impeccable... 💯 recommended

Papi's has good Cuban food at a great price point. I had the Jerk Chicken sandwich. It was not spicy like west Indian style.

Went here with the family while visiting Georgia recently and Papi's was solid. Part of my family is Caribbean, so I'm a tough critic in this category. In relation to other comparable restaurants I've dined at, this place wouldn't crack the top 10, but it was still a good meal that I'd recommend to others in the area. The plantains were really good and the rice was equally delicious. Everything else was okay in my opinion. The service could have been better as well. Our server disappeared for long stints and made little effort in terms of demeanor. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I'm unsure if I'm motivated to go back. Food: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Overall: ~ 3.8/5

Food was generally delicious, especially the beef. Maduros overcooked and not as caramelized/sweet as preferred. Server delivered coffee spilled all over plate. Tostones and green sauce amazing. Very kind service and beautiful decor. Art all over the walls. Drink menu not updated to reflect new pricing but server disclosed that. Busy place with 20 minute wait.

Food was good, seasoned well. We had beef and chicken empanadas, a Cuban sandwich and shredded chicken with rice.

Food was amazing, full of flavor! I ordered the Palomilla Steak and I was not disappointed. My friend shared her empanadas with me and they were mouth watering my good as well! We were in Atlanta for a conference and she paid with a card (using the electronic tablet to input her email for receipt), and I paid in cash. I was suppose to keep my receipts for reimbursements and since I paid in cash I forgot to get the receipt. The next day, I called the restaurant and the manager gave me his number to call and he found the receipt in the system and he texted it to me! Now this is what I call service!!! Amazing food matched with amazing service…definitely a winner in my book!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Service is friendly and great location. Parking can be tough but we got Lucky and found a spot right away. Food is ok at best. My Vaca frita was a over condimented. The Platano Maduro was not fried all the way through. Yellow rice was just ok. My wife's Lechón asado was more of a stew. We ordered tostones and didn't get them, so it dropped this experience to 2 stars.

Three of us came to ATL for a quick vacation. We visited Papi's based on the reviews. The authentic flavors were great! The portions were terrific for the price. Fortunately, we beat the crowds who were waiting outside to be seated. We came around 2pm & left 3:30ish. More & more people kept coming so that should give an idea of how popular it is. The three of us agreed that we'd return to Papi's when we visit ATL again. Our hotel was downtown on Peachtree, so taxi & Lyft were reasonable for 3 people, about $15 each way.

I just have to say not only is the food wonderful but so is the staff. Everyone was friendly and inviting from the host to our server. I want to specifically mention someone by name, the Manager Santiago is top notch and once you meet him, you will understand he is likely a big factor in why this place is so warm and inviting. I personally am Cuban and from out of town, NY specifically and this food is on par with the best I’ve had. We dined in the first day and liked it so much we ordered to our hotel the following day. Lastly, the prices are fantastic so what is not to love? See for yourself!

Nice little crowd. But lightly seasoned flavor-able food. I could of did without the Cuban sampler. Cute little place.

Most fabulous tasting food I ever put in my mouth. Despite slow service both times, I have to leave 5 stars. Tostones supremos with beef.

Excellent Cuban spot. Great coffee, Cuban sandwich and super yummy yuca fries. Highly recommended. Great location in midtown. Nice takeout section and inside dining available. Staff all incredibly nice. Great colors and beautiful vibes.

I wasn’t going to leave a bad review. I prefer to call restaurants and give my feedback instead of bashing a small business - but then I got home and have the worst stomach pain. The food sucks. Lechon/pernil/pork was under cooked. Rice stale and crunchy. Chef - the energy you have when you cook transfers to the patrons. Please remember that. The onions weren’t even cut with care. Salad looks like it was thrown onto a plate out of a bag. Worst cuban food I ever had

Food was good as last time i remembered. Server was on point. To-go plate was prepared to perfection. Very reasonable. What’s not to love about this spot. Everything was great 👍

Ended up here by accident (restaurant I meant to eat at was closed) but didn't regret it a bit. Fast, attentive service and solid Cuban food. Pork was tender and moist (though less strongly spiced than I prefer) and the black beans were perfect. Prices are good too.

Absolutely amazing. Reminds me of my Grandmother's cooking. A diamond looked in ATL. A must spot. Angel our waitress was top notch. Makes you feel like home.

The food was SO good. The empanadas were AMAZING, especially the beef with the habanero sauce! We also had the lechon asado and pollo Vaca frita that were delicious. The homemade flan was also good, but the mango cheesecake... Yum!!!!

Had a taste for some jerk chicken. I wasn't disappointed. Food was flavorful and a decent portion, the yellow rice was a bit mushy, but it was good nonetheless. The pineapple soda was a great compliment to the meal.

I can't say if the food is authentic or not, but I can say that I what I ordered, Papi's Bowl or something like that, was really good. I've had other dishes there that were really good as well. My only complaint is the place is small and they cant accomodate large parties. There were only 10 of us and we had to be seated between 2 boiths and a table. And the service was slow. Friendly, but really slow.

This was my first time at this establishment. We ordered an empanada tray. That was delicious! The jerk chicken sandwich was really good! I rate it 4 stars because it took me almost one hour to find parking! Overall, I would definitely visit again, however, I’ll probably catch an Uber next time! 😃

The best Cuban sandwich I have ever eaten! The empenadas were very fresh make sure you ask for the Papi sauce! Warm, inviting service, and you could tell this place is a community favorite. If you are exploring downtown Atlanta, Papi's is a must!

😠 DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Terrible service! The server cannot remember what you ordered…it cannot be that hard to write it down. Friends waited for (Hennessy) drinks…at the same table for an hour and 15min. It took the bartender 3 tries….It took over an hour to get food even with a reservation. YOU CAN...
