This was a bucket list thing for me honestly. I’m an experienced pilot 👨🏻‍✈️ and have loved aviation for many years. I have to tell you being up close and seeing and touching the displays and realizing how enormous the Spirit of Delta is. And what a fabulous story about the employees buying the 767, incredible and a wonderful reminder of what employees do for a great company. Learning how Delta started a seeing the rich history was exciting. I highly recommend seeing the many displays.

Words can't describe how cool this place is and pictures don't do justice, must visit to really capture the experience. It's amazing. And the 747 is one of the coolest things I've ever been in!

I would dare say this is a completely underrated attraction for people of all ages. We took my three boys (5, 3, and 18-months) and they were completely in love with this place. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Atlanta! If you are thinking about going, take the time to do it!!

We had an amazing time at Delta Flight Museum. Its a huge facility where they have displayed early time frame of flight. Displayed planes are very welled maintained. They also have a gift shop of Delta goodies.

This place was an absolute gem among all the other looting attractions in and around. Pretty large hanger converted to a flight museum. Free parking is available and entry tickets are just $15 for adults and $12 for kids. Flight simulators are extra cost. Even without the simulator, which we skipped, it was pretty engaging, highlighting the rich history of Delta Airlines and planes. This place has a small confectionery store associated for souvenirs. Also this place has restrooms to use.

Nice place, make sure to check online before you go to make sure everything is open. When we went there, Hanger was closed, which has the museum and most of the stuff. But we were still able to look around the 747 and the other plane. They have a store that sells all different types of Delta, leftover merchandise, ranging from airplane seats to T-shirts to wing parts, all for a great price. It’s definitely worth checking out that store and the person in charge Judy is the nicest person in the area. Just keep in mind what time the store closes.

Great place and cool exhibits that are interactive. The staff weren’t like too amazing but not bad. They sort of just were there and when I asked for a price they just held up their fingers instead of talking with you. Pretty cool place though and the gift shop had a lot of cool items that were unique to Delta, not just the same old stuff that every other gift shop has.

Great experience! Friendly staff. Lots of cool history about the world’s greatest air line! Also a good deal of educational information about flight for the kiddos. The simulator is an amazing idea for anyone interested in flight, although it is a tad on the pricey side. But what an amazing experience for someone who wouldn’t have the opportunity otherwise!

Super cool museum. Be ready to have your items scanned at the main hanger and at the side plane. Well kept and lots of things to do and see. Took a few hours. Delta and Militaty discounts. No law enforcement discounts. Indoor and outdoor portions

Absolutely AMAZING place! As a student pilot, this place is a must see!!!! I only wish they took more time to show the African American pilots, as opposed to having it tucked away in a corner. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The 747 IS WONDERFUL!!!! Next time, I will partake in the simulator experience!

Very nice museum about the full history of Delta Airlines. From the prop era to modern jets. Nice meeting location inside a plane and the visit to the 747 is a must do. The sheer size is just amazing. The highlight for me was the visit, take-off and landing in the 737-200 simulator! Just an amazing experience. Highly recommended.

Brought my son here for part one of his birthday adventures. He loves planes and I thought this would be a great experience . I was right . 8/10 only because I wish a lot of things were closed the day we went . you should go ! Only about $23 bucks for both of us to enter.

What a fantastic experience! I highly recommended this place if you have a few hours to kill. Call first! They’re sometimes closed due to special events. There are plenty of interactive activities and tons of history. The Boeing 747 exhibit has different hours than the museum so check that also. All around a good time and friendly people working there.

Every thing, just wow..we really had good time..we took our 3 year old daughter, we had fun and enjoy clicking some amazing pictures. But the stimulator is for1-2 people, for 45 minutes, for 450 $ dollars , which I think is too expensive. And gift shop shop is little expensive. But if we only have general admission then 15 $ per person is worth visiting.. Adding some pictures to help.😊

I went only to see the DC3 but got surprised with all they have inside like a 747 when you go inside like the cockpit and transparent parts to see how it’s. There some olds simulators and an top notch one that I’m not sure if I could try. An small store as well. You gonna spend about 2h if you want read all and watch the movie, everything well organized. It’s a place to bring children, there some entertainment for them.

Really cool experience visiting this museum. Lots of great history and very well displayed. I enjoyed the interactive parts of the museum in addition to being able to walk into some of their Boeing planes. My favorite part was the evolution of the flight attendant uniforms. Really cool to see how the uniforms evolved over the years in different countries. Highly recommend visiting!

The Boeing 737-200 full-motion flight simulator and Delta's instructor, Rudy gave us an enormous experience. He taught us firmly even though it was only an hour lesson. We really appreciate it. $425 might be not affordable for everyone but it's definitely worth it.

The museum was cool, but a bit small. It was likely due to the group I was with, but there were a lot of things closed / not attended. The flight Sim was fun, but we only had a truncated experience of it.

We had a great time here for my son's birthday. There is so much to learn and the tour takes us back to Delta's beginning. The theater is spacious and nice as well and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Lots of affordable options in the gift shop.💯

Really awesome place to check out the history of one of America's largest and oldest legacy airlines. The exhibits were well laid out, the staff was incredibly friendly and the CEO of Delta was even around so my friends and I managed to get a picture with him. All in all, it was well worth the price for admission. I will absolutely come back again and again!

Great place to visit if you are at the Atlanta Airport with some time to spare!! Only 4 starts because the 747 exhibit had a sign for 757!! A little confusing! I loved being in the 747 and learning all about it! The staff here were all friendly and knowledgeable!!

Good place to hangout on a break . Expected there will be an option to sit in pilot seat but all of them are closed when i visited . A good place to educate yourself about passenger aeroplane , and other different flights especially from delta origins. Only con : entrance ticket even for a working employee is half the normal ticket!!!!! Not sure why do they do that . Definitely a best place to hangout with kids .

Small museum. Quick turn around. Great if you like Delta and it's history. Planes on display are great. You can visit and take a walk inside the first ever built 747. That's almost as cool as hanging out with 007.

Came to Atlanta to go to the Southeastern Railway Museum & to sightsee Atlanta. Trains are my interest, but I like anything in Transportation. This was also a great museum to visit. The museum is located in a hanger & has planes outside as well. It has many real life planes to see including 2 you can go into & sit in the seats. You can go right up to the planes, stand next to the tires, walk underneath them, see what the cockpits look like. Definitely worth going to see.

I came to the Delta Flight Museum for a Delta Flight Attendant graduation. Google did not do a good job in directing us. We had to ask for directions. Once in there it was great. So many airplanes from different eras. I didn't get a chance to look around as much as I wanted to. If you are an airline history buff you will love this place. If you are going for a graduation, give yourself extra time to look around. There is a lot of cool stuff here. Parking is ample and free. There is easy access for handicapped folks too.

Visited with wife on Tue Oct 18. The two hangers are very spacious between exhibits. There are exhibits from the early days of Delta up to the present including live diagram of Atlanta Airport. Check schedule at https://www deltamuseum dot org to see what will be open outside. For us, the 747 was open but the DC-9 was not. The photo is from the upper deck of the 747. Panels removed so you can see pipe and wire. The 737-200 simulator is worth the cost. The instructor set me up with 3 mile final for several airports. He started easy (straight approach with no wind) and then did Juneau, which has a dogleg due to a mountain. My wife took video and still shots. The graph shows when we were too high or low and approach. After we finished the instructor took a picture of us (with great framing showing location in the museum).

The museum is relatively small compared to other aviation history museums. The Boeing 747 exhibit is the most impressive part. Overall, my family enjoyed the visit, but Delta could do more to extend the visitor experience.

Delta does an amazing job at preserving their history here. An important task in the airline industry due to consolidation of so many companies. I grew up flying Northwest and was happy to see them well represented here.

Probably not high on tourists must see list, it is a decent diversion to spend 1.5 hours by the airport. Would've been nicer if it was free but I guess this isn't a good use of the company's capital from shareholders POV. Museum has some interesting artifacts including the 747 jumbo. A couple exhibits were closed when we were visiting. But overall it met my expectations as a minor attraction---probably would've never visited if it wasn't for the extra time on hand before flight.

Great for the whole family! We have a large family, with 8 children. At the time of our visit, they ranged in age from 4 years old to 16 years old. They all really enjoyed the museum. They liked being able to see everything in person, go inside of things, touch things, etc. A wonderful experience for all and it wasn't as expensive as the zoo or aquarium.

As someone that loves aviation this place is amazing. The 747 is full of history and so iconic, it was just amazing to get into the first queen of the skies that was built for passenger use and flew for 30 yrs she has history in every corner! Everyone here was amazing and very helpful! If you use Google maps to get here it will tell you to make a left at the very end of the instructions on how to get there but it's wrong, just keep straight for another 8th of a mile and the actual place will be on the left. You can see the hangar that says Delta flight museum. Stop at the front where the guards are, they will check your Id give you a parking pass and give you stickers that read Delta museum guest. Find a parking Spot put the stickers on yourself and walk into the brick building to the right of the first big hangar it has landing gear posts on the outside of it. Go in and the building through security get your passes and hit the 747 before you go in as I closes earlier than the building. Also they have guided Douglas DC-3(Ship 41) tours every second Tuesday of every month, for a very short time so make sure to call before and be there. This place is awesome for young ones and parking is free!!! You can also see incoming and outgoing traffic in the airport from the parking lot which is a big plus for me! There's a fully working B737 simulator in there that costs a little over 400 bucks for an hour for up to 4 people if I'm not mistaken check the website for the details and have some fun. Plan to be here 2 to 3 hours for an in depth visit!

If you love airplanes or have a particular interest in Delta or commercial flight history, by all means go. It isn't cheap, BUT military get in free with ID. The 747 was pretty cool, as were some of the old stewardess (it was an era) uniforms. I may have imagined it, but one of the ones from the lunar landing days had a very Star Trek feel. See pics.

So, you love planes, are a planespotter and want to get up close and personal with the Queen of the Skies? Well this is the place for you. The Delta Flight Museum is an AWESOME museum that not only traces the history of Delta (and ATL to some degree) but also the airline industry at large. The museum is packed with approximately 80 gazillion things that you wish you could own. Everything from Safety Cards to Silverware and just about everything in between. So many cool things to look at and read about you'll wish you had more time in the day. Then there are the planes. Oh, Delta just doesn't have one plane...they have a plethora of beautifully maintained aircraft that you get to stand next to. The Spirit of Delta 767...it's here in all her glory. A DC-3 in fantastic condition...she's her shining like a new pin. Want to see a giraffe but don't want to go to the zoo...they got a gorgeous 757 keeping watch outside. Miss the Mad Dog's...they got a DC-9. And then there's the Queen. A plane so regal, so gorgeous and so amazing it's hard not to get emotional. The 747-400 is one of the most amazing pieces of machinery ever created and you can see Ship 6301 at her final resting place here. Learn about her near tragic history and how this ol' girl served Delta until 2015. They gave her a royal send off and now she holds court here everyday. If you've got time between flights, love planes or love Delta this museum is a MUST visit. And don't forget to visit the gift shop...they have so many cool things you'll walk out being a brand ambassador!

I'm very into aviation and have been to many aviation museums and I can say they did an excellent job with this museum. There is a lot to see and is well worth the trip in the $15 admission. You must check their calendar because they do a lot of events and sometimes close one or both parts of the museum for them. Second time I've been!

Such a cool place full of history of flying and Delta specifically. Really neat to sit in a big engine and see the inside of old planes. Probably the only time I'll ever be able to go in the lie-flat first class beds too, I'm more of a budget traveler lol but it was very neat!

Nice little museum showing the history of Delta Airlines. Several aircraft to get up close and personal with (but not too close for some of them). 747 experience was very cool, especially the wing walk which allows for a great view of activity at the airport. The hangars were large but felt empty. Seemed like there were some exhibits being moved or refurbished. Gift shop prices were very reasonable, $16 for a t-shirt! Clean restroom. Some kind of snack bar would be nice to keep people around longer.

We loooooved this museum. So much great history of the airlines and the industry in general on display including planes available for visitors to walk inside and explore from a completely different vantage including a closer look at the cockpit and the mechanics and statistics behind these amazing vehicles. Staff was very nice - souvenir shop is a bit overpriced but that's not totally unusual. This is a fun stop to visit in Atlanta for the whole family which offers some unique learning opportunities, hands-on fun and something more than your typical museum. Highly recommend!

They were closed to the general public on a Saturday. Which was slightly odd to me. They do have some cool planes to look at, a few little neat things, and perhaps I am just being some type of way...but it was very underwhelming. It was fun, but I was expecting more I suppose. I would come back again.

Great place to visit if you have a couple of hours or more. Staff was friendly and helpful, you can sign up for a 15 minute simulator flight if that interests you. It is pricey but no of no way of experiencing a real simulator just like the airline pilots. Also being able to see the innards of a 747 without all of the seats and plastic molding we normally encounter was interesting and educational.

Perfect for an avgeek or just persons with interest in the topic to spend a few hours. Various exhibits from the whole history of this airline, of which many are planes, of course (including a 747 and a 767 which you can explore from their inside). Nice gift shop, too, with a good choice of items and fair prices. Take the information provided with a grain of salt, though, as it is (obviously) a corporate museum. The museum is located in the Delta HQ. That means there is no separate entrance for it; you just go through the regular gate, get your ID checked and receive a sticker saying you're a museum visitor.

Any avgeek should visit this museum! The museum has Boeing 747, 757, and 767 and McDonnell Douglas DC-3, DC-7, and a DC-9 plus more aircrafts!

Fun place to stop when you are in Atlanta if you are traveling with plane lovers. My husband enjoyed looking at all the memorabilia and my boys,7 and 11, liked getting on the planes.

Amazing visit for someone who loves aviation or to watch the history of Delta Air Lines. I’ll definitely be back soon and recommend everyone give it a visit if in the area.

I started flying at 8 years old and often with Delta. Over the recent years I have preferred driving. The Delta Flight Museum renewed some excitement of the fun in flying. Of course seeing my son's (an Aerospace engineering graduate) enthusiasm helped a good bit. We met a kind lady that shared about her family member that was a flight attendant on the first flight of the plane we were touring.

Great Museum to see some planes up close and learn the rich history and commitment to exceptional customer service Delta promotes as one of their key core values. I really liked their Chairman’s Club! Other companies can learn from their leadership.
