If you are the kind of person who thinks you would enjoy a museum dedicated to paper making, then you will likely greatly enjoy this museum. Covers both history and technology, lots of actual artifacts, machines, and materials from papyrus to modern day mills. No cost to enter, but a donation box where you should put a few dollars per person. I was the only one there on a Thursday afternoon.

One of the coolest museums I’ve ever been to! If you’re a writer and a book lover, you have to see this place. I learned a lot about Paper Making from clay tablets to book binding. Entrance is free and it’s so worth the time. It was also easily accessible by bus.

Amazing place unfortunately most people living in Atlanta don’t know that this place exists, in addition to the great collection of books, there’s a remarkable collection of watermarks, papers, tools, machines , and manuscripts.

This place is smaller but an excellent museum. They do workshops and research. Check online for speakers. I enjoy book binding and print making and I learned a lot from this museum. They had an impressive collection spanning hundreds of years. Make sure to check out both sides. On the right is the history of paper and printing and on the left is a model mill. Paper was such an important technology that we take for granted these days. The museum does anexcellent job of explaining in detail how amazing this medium is. Admission is free. It is located on the college's campus in one of their buildings.

This is a worthwhile stop if you are near Georgia tech. Parking was $4.5 for 2 hours in front of the entrance. You have to download an app to pay to park.

This museum is a hidden gem of Atlanta. It's educational, interesting and uncrowded. I took my first grade class here on a field trip to learn about the history of paper and paper making and we had an excellent time. The staff was very helpful and nice.

We went as a homeschool group and had the tour amd paper making activity. Lots of details and good explanations throughout both. Plan extra time to look back thru the museum after the activity because the tour doesnt allow browse and read time. Small but GREAT. Worth the time and drive.

You may think.. "Oh boring, a papermaking museum"... Well, that's not true!! It really is amazing how much paper has evolved, and how much we take it for granted! Not only do they have the museum but the also offer workshops.. Very neat place!

Very comprehensive museum explaining the history of paper and paper making! Lots of original artifacts and very contemporary and clean design. I only wish they were open after 5 so I could bring friends to see it.

Tiny but filled with interesting objects. Did a very good job showing paper making from all over the world. Free and easily accessible if someone in your group has a disability or you have children in a stroller. We went when school was out I would imagine it be very hard to find parking in session.

Very informative displays and some really cool antiques. It's a small museum but still worth a visit if you're nearby.

Great free self guided tour on the history of paper making. Gift shop has some true gems. The paper education center in the building is also great for looking at models of the machines used in modern paper making.
