Great location if you’re attending events near downtown Atlanta. The parking lot is a nice bonus, it cost $25 per night and is billed to your room credit card. We wish they had a restaurant or some sort of bar but they got nothing. The check in staff were fairly nice. The hotel room needs some updating but that can be said for the vast majority of the Hampton Inn and suites it seems.

We enjoyed this hotel. I loved the historical aspect (I was told the building was built in 1874, wow!). The breakfast was great. The scones are delicious, I have never seen these at a Hampton and I gobbled them up! Only issues I had was the smoke alarm was hanging by a wire in the ceiling (but the light was on so I'm assuming it was operational), the bathroom door lock was broken, you could push it in when the door was open, but as soon as your shut it, the door unlocked. And lastly I had a parking charge on my bill and I did not bring a car to Atlanta. Location was wonderful, would stay again.

This is an older hotel, it shows plenty of signs of wear but it's comfortable and the rooms are spacious at an affordable price. I was pleasantly surprised with the free breakfast-the attendant made sure everything hot was actually hot throughout the morning. The free parking is a big bonus making the rates even more affordable. Walk to everywhere in the Olympic park/aquarium/stadiums area. Friendly desk staff make it worth overlooking the wear and tear. The building is secured with key card access to the entrances and elevators.

After calling 10+ hotels who were "sold out" at 2am driving with an overly tired and screaming baby, this hotel gave me what I needed. Rashad was AMAZING! He was beyond friendly, and informative. I wouldn't have booked without a company face like his. Once I saw the room, I went back to book another night. It was so clean, inviting, and comfortable that I couldn't just stay until checkout. Kenya was amazing! We woke up and decided to see the city a little. She was so friendly and made us feel at home. We returned that night and I had an amazing conversation with the overnight security Glenn. He is an amazing man with so many good stories and great advice! This place, and more so the staff, really made me feel at home. Definitely more than a 10 out of 10!!!

I'm so grateful that I walked here after an unsatisfactory experience at another Hilton property! Josh was amazing! (Another lady was present, attentive, & accommodating, but I didnt get her name.) He allowed me to gripe for a view seconds & validated my concerns about a clean, comfy space for such a long stay! The room is less expensive but larger & MUCH CLEANER than the nearby property I left. Would definitely return!

Wow what an amazing stay! I stayed here with my best friend as we were visiting for a local concert. The staff went absolutely above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had a nice stay. Shoutout to the night crew and security team and also William who was so kind to us! This hotel is close to everything and much of the area is walkable for local cafes, a walgreens and things to do. We were able to relax undisturbed and also check out the nearby National Civil Rights Museum. I felt safe staying here and we truly enjoyed the hospitality. The breakfast was good too and the complimentary tea and coffee was a lifesaver. They also held my luggage as I had a later flight and I was able to relax in the lobby. Thanks for a great stay! We will be back!

Let me start off with what I love about this hotel. Location is everything and this particular hotel is convenient to everywhere. Hotel parking is good but you have to be there early to get a spot because they fill up fast. Walk or Uber so you don’t lose your spot. It’s $30 per day with unlimited ins and outs. The hospitality is superb! Hotel desk attendants are the best. Breakfast is hot or cold and breakfast bars and tables are well attended to. What I don’t love is the cheap hand and bathing towels. It’s as if you’re washing with sand paper. It’s sad to say but bring your own. The room doesn’t smell as fresh as they could so bring candles. The business center was not available. “Computers were down”. Instead of the hotel staff announcing that they chose to keep quiet about it, which really upset me because I could have made other arrangements for remote work. I had to ask everyday up until checkout, if computers were working. No other accommodations were offered. A roach or two were seen hanging out in the lobby area near the front door, maybe looking for a room for the night. For this location, I give a strong 3 stars.

I'm sure the hotel itself is nice, but don't expect to stay here if you're driving with any type of moving truck/trailer. We booked this hotel during a move because there was supposed to be safe, secured parking- we arrived after 10pm after a day of driving with 3 small children and drove around the parking lot for over 30 minutes hoping we could find somewhere to park with our uhaul trailer. Although there were sufficient spots, they said we weren't allowed to take up more than 2 side by side spots, which would have been impossible. Thankfully they cancelled our reservation for us, but finding a new hotel that late at night wasn't ideal.

Great location for downtown area, smaller older Hampton property. Some say it is dated with no parking, I say it has character. I've stayed at 4-other properties in the same general area for business at the Georgia World Congress Center. Unless you want the Ritz level service with on-site bar and hot breakfast this place is perfect for the business road warrior. Easy walk to trade shows, sports events etc. Location location location. Many dinning and drinking choices within walking distance. Hotel staff is very chill and will do whatever is needed to make your stay more comfortable. Well done Hampton would recommend to anyone who asks. CU again....

So, the location is really great. Lots of things within blocks to walk to. Our check in clerk was great, friendly. We had a corner room that was nice. Living room with separate bedroom. We had a yappy dog next door but wasn't so much an issue. Now to the 1 start rating.... We went out with our car and returned just after midnight. NO PARKING!!! We spent over 30 min talking with security in the lot and front desk. She said we can park in another paid lot that isn't part of the hotel and they'd refund our parking fee. Yes, we had already paid it hours before. I just had surgery on my foot and can't walk very far so that wasn't an option. Plus was super tired. The clerk said this happens a lot and was told that if they got complaints, to refund the parking fee. So why would the hotel let you pay and not sell limited spots AND inform that it could be an issue. They offered no real solution. We've been with Hilton a long time. But this left a very bad taste in our mouths. And, the parking hasn't been credited. Really poor poor job. Not happy!

Beware of this hotel. My credit card was being billed three days after we left to a different hotel because the room we booked for our family of five was given to a group that were in town for a function. Christ offered extra blankets so that my son can sleep on the floor Yuck 🤮 we had no choice but to go to a different hotel that can accommodate us. I am extremely disappointed that this hotel wants to charge us for the entire stay when they couldn’t provide the room that we booked. We contacted Hilton customer service and the manager told me on the phone that “ we have to go back and make it work” in order not to be charged for the booking. This is when I lost it on the phone because you are not going to tell me to have my child sleep on the disgusting hotel floor when I already paid for his bed. Hilton quality is obviously going down.

Staff member Eric was amazing! He really showed my brother and I real southern hospitality. He suggested places surrounding our hotel for some fun. Our room was great and clean. We’ll definitely be returning on our many trips to ATL. Thanks Eric!

Overall this was a great experience. The staff was super friendly, there was coffee available up front 24/7, the breakfast was great and super clean all around the stations. I didn’t like you had to request housekeeping or they come on the 4th day. I’m sure not many guests stay 4 days and to have to request it is an inconvenience. When I stay at hotel I expect the beds to be made every day when I leave. When I come back to the room it’s a great feeling to have everything done and clean again. I hope this trend does not catch on as it’s steering away from hospitality in its entirety.

Great location! The hotel keeps the doors from outside closed to public and only if you have a key you can enter. This makes the place safe. Staff was friendly. Big major plus — GREAT breakfast! Lots of food options as it is a breakfast before covid. Check out my pics of the breakfast. They just cleaned the carpet before we moved to the room so this is nice. They also have their own parking, $30 per night. The only minor issue I had is that someone forgot an item of clothing before and it was left in the room. We got a night for $120 so good deal. Overall, recommend.

Front desk, was great. We let them know the issue with the room temp/thermostat. They got some guys to come up pretty quick and they fixed the problem. The shower was great and HOT! The next morning, breakfast. Before I get onto Victoria, lots of options available. Victoria is the lady setting up snd staring and watching everyone like a hawk. You do one thing wrong, and she’s coming after you. Just take this as a warning when you make your way downstairs for breakfast. Prepare yourself. Other than ole Vicki, stay was great!!

The location is actually very nice! The hotel itself is also fine. Room was very clean. The blinds are power operated and were kinda finicky. The reason for the 2 stars taken away is customer service. The front desk was rude when we checked in and we inquired about the parking spot we had paid for ahead of time. She informed us that their lot was full and we would need to figure out alternative parking without giving any suggestions. We had to request the refund for the parking! That should’ve been a no brainer to give the money back and should’ve been offered without asking.

I would not recommend this hotel for the following reason listed below. 1. When I arrived at the hotel after 3pm my room still wasn’t ready. 2. The hotel staff was very rude , I was spoken to as if my service wasn’t welcome. 3. I went to take a shower and the handle for the tub fell completely off and there wasn’t any maintenance on site so I was asked to fix it myself so after 30 minutes a staff member came up and helped cut it off and said it would be fixed in the morning so when I called to follow up the person I spoke too had no clue about the issue and spoke to me like a child. 4. Some of my towels had hair already on them before I used them.

Located blocks from Atlanta's main attractions. Great, clean room. Quiet. Great breakfast and the breakfast crew was exceptionally attentive, friendly and quick to clean/sanitize. Parking lot was nearby, but entrance is small and you might miss it

My family and I stayed here between Aug 3th-5th, the folks working the counter were great. Our experience during the our stay was very welcoming. Unfortunately the evening we left the hotel we realized our son left behind an item of his. I called the same day asking for someone to please look into it. I was told a manager would be reaching out. Fast forward to today the 18th I’ve called multiple times and explained my concerns I was sent an email to pay for shipping of the item which I did. I have yet to receive a phone call from Management or a confirmation of the item being shipped.

Staff was very polite and courteous and knowledgeable of the area. Rooms are cozy and would definitely stay here again if in the area. Only a 10 minute walk to Mercedes Benz Stadium

All was well… continental breakfast was timely but the sausage links and patties need to be browned a lil more. No problems at all and glad it was in walking distance to the Mercedes Benz Stadium.

Loved staying here! The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the room was spacious. Staff was nice. The only negative would be the sliding/not locking bathroom door.

Such a truly lovely staff and the room is clean and fine. BUT... the walls are like paper and I have a group of very loud ladies next to me who have been fighting and yelling at the top of their lungs for hours. I was told there was nothing the hotel can do to help, because it's not quiet hours. I get that...?? I guess the only thing to do is to not book here ever again. A shame because it's a great location, too.

I often get asked how I find such deals. The secret's out: ʜᴏᴛᴇʟᴅᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ This stay? A testament to their awesome comparison features. It took two hours from check in time before our room was ready…the hotel parking lot was full and we had to park across the street. the A/C in the room did not cool. The staff was accommodating but everything was very inconvenient and annoying. Will not stay again.

Booked an overnight stay; checked in via the app and selected our room the day before- requested digital key. Upon arrival, went to front desk to retrieve physical room key and ask for the digital key (never did receive it); service was good. I do have to mention though that while this didn’t apply to us, we did notice while we were in the lobby, there were several individuals trying to check in and there was no one at the desk to either answer the intercom and let them in or to check in them after we let them in-and this was probably for ten minutes that we observed. We would probably stay there again.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel over the weekend. The hotel is secured with a hotel key. Someone can't enter the building or elevator! And the breakfast was a plus! Buying food in Downtown Atlanta is very expensive so the free breakfast saved me a lot of money. The hotel room was spacious and there was cable tv provided. The hotel's location is great. The park and basketball arena is within walking distance. I would stay at this hotel again if I visit downtown ATL. And I would highly recommend staying at Hampton Inn & Suites - Downtown Atlanta!

  • 3/5 Mr. K. 11 months ago on Google
Basic dated hotel walking distance to Centennial Olympic Park. I had to go to the front desk numerous times for things missing in our room (bath soap, tissues). We stayed 4 days and did not see a cleaning person/cart the entire time. They also don’t clean unless you’re there at least 4 days which is pretty gross. It was fine for not being there much but definitely not impressive.

Great location for the aquarium & Coca Cola. Self park was convenient and the breakfast buffet was decent. Room was spacious and clean. Quiet area at night, thank goodness. Would stay here again when visiting.

Hospitality was great. Everyone was very pleasant. Room was kinda dirty with hair in the shower and sink. The mini fridge was also not cleaned well. Excellent walking distance to downtown events and restaurants. Parking was cheap for in and out privileges. Overall, a decent stay.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise in the heart of downtown Atlanta. The amenities and size of the room -- and ample parking right out the door -- made it a great stay. I'm loyal to another brand usually, but I would make an exception for this property in the heart of Downtown Atlanta in the future.

I feel bad. I had talked up the Hampton Inn and suites to friends from my previous stays there. My friends and I have used it several times for Dragoncon. But I recognize now that Hampton Inn never gave a Con rate. But most importantly, the whole time I was there the A/C and fan were not working. There was no air being circulated in the room. I asked for a technician to come by the same night as I checked in and never received any follow up. I asked several times and did not hear anything back. The hotel also told me about how I could use my phone as a room key card......they never got it to work. The biggest part is the A/c. The next biggest part was seeing two staff members not wearing a mask to cover their noses in the hotel.

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay here. Clean, quiet, convenient, friendly staff, great breakfast. I will definitely stay here again as we frequent the Tabernacle, which was such an easy walk to and from.

  • 2/5 James R. 2 years ago on Google
This property should not be associated with the Hilton brand. There is no dedicated parking just for hotel guests. The entrance to the hotel is littered with trash. There is an ashtray by the door, guaranteeing you walk through cigarette smoke to get inside. The shower was warmish, definitely not hot. Our room was recently renovated which was part of the reason for actually getting two stars, and the waffles were pretty good.

  • 4/5 Erica J. 2 years ago on Google
Room was clean, though the sheets weren't the right size for the bed. Not a big deal. The staff were all very polite and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good, there were enough options to make sure my preschooler would eat something. It's close to a lot of attractions, and an easy drive to Truist Park. Will be keeping it on our list of places to stay in Atlanta.

AC did not work in 1st room I was given. Moved to second room and voila same situation. I was not moving again. Room would not cool and was just uncomfortable for someone who is hot natured. There is not secure parking and they make you pay a $500 deposit for parking and then take $25 a day to park. Yes we were one of the hundred cars that got our windows busted out as well. I would not recommend this hotel and hope Skills USA does not recommend this hotel to any one for the next 4 years. Worst Hilton property I have ever stayed at.

My main reason for a review is because I'm disabled and I would not have chosen this location if I had known. The wheelchair accessible entrance was a good way from the Gated parking. I really did not like that upon my arrival of 9:00 p.m. my room was "just finishing being cleaned". I reached out to the hotel prior to my arrival asking for an early check in. I never heard a response.

  • 4/5 Kara K. 2 years ago on Google
Although we didn’t really encounter issues with the hotel itself (decent location, felt secure and clean, staff was okay, beds were comfy), we would just like to note that you could hear noise from the hallways while inside the room. It could have been the room we had, but we could also hear the neighbor’s bathroom (toilet flushing, running water), though we didn’t hear TV or conversations from other rooms, just hallway noise. The hot breakfast had great options and is such a nice feature to have at a hotel, though the hours were 6:30 to 9:30am, 10:00am end time would have been better especially on the weekend.

  • 5/5 Stephen H. 2 years ago on Google
I really did love the vibe of this hotel. The room that we had took me by surprise on how spacious and comfortable it was. The staff was kind and attentive with a welcoming attitude. The parking is $25 per night but I paid without having any issues. I wish self parking did not cost but oh well…

The room was clean and no smoking or moldy smell. Guests park free even before check-in. Walking distance to downtown attractions. It was safe and secure. The breakfast was yummy and the ladies did a great job. Everyone was friendly.

Great hotel, walking distance or short drive to the Masquerade music venue. Convenient parking right next to the hotel for a small fee. Breakfast was organized and well stocked and the area clean. Room was quiet and comfortable. Exactly what you expect from a Hampton Inn.

  • 3/5 J. S. 2 years ago on Google
Second time here. Good location and the rooms are a good size and seem to be recently renovated, but the maintenance needs to improve. When I sat down at the desk, the whole top failed on my lap. I noticed the screws that are supposed to hold the legs to the top together were on the floor. I reported the incident to the front desk and asked them to fix it because I needed the desk, but the two days I was there, they did nothing.

Someone give me the specifics on the Queen mattress and bed spread because that is the experience I want every night at home. Loved how the sleeping area was separate from the living space. The breakfast was amazing, filled with hot and filling options. The staff was super helpful, friendly and easy to communicate with. The gym was great, the shower was perfect for everyone's individual desire. 10/10

I booked two nights at the Hilton in Atlanta, Ga. I chose the hotel for the location and especially for offering over night parking. It was a disaster. The hotel does not have the service of cleaning the rooms due to Covi 19, it should be the opposite because the virus requires cleaning and disinfection of the places all the time. You had to call the front desk for towels, toilet paper and disposable cups. But that was not all. The last night we spent in the hotel my two sisters and I were in the valet parking it was a Trojan odyssey. We arrived at the parking lot late and we were tired ,the only desire was to get to the room as soon as possible and we had to wait an hour for the employee to receive the car, not only for us, but for 15 more cars. I do not recommend this experience to anyone. Please when you arrive in Atlanta make sure you do not make a reservation at this hotel. Note: We spoke to the valet parking manager he refunded one valet parking night, $37 Reservation was under my sister name: Emperatriz Rodriguez

I am rating 1 for the reasons below, 1. The room was not ready until 6.30 pm 2. Have to wait long hours to get check-in. 3. Toiletries were not provided. 4. The refrigerator in the room was not working. 5. Charged for parking. Before booking I did call the hotel, enquired about the parking and I was informed as it's free parking. 6. The elevator was stinky.

Absolutely delighted with my stay at the Hampton for my 28th birthday celebration! Booking two rooms was a fantastic choice, and even my hard-to-please pregnant cousin found comfort and satisfaction. The front desk staff were not only nice but incredibly inviting, making us feel warmly welcomed. The rooms were impeccably clean, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. The outstanding ambiance left a lasting impression, and I'm already looking forward to my next stay. Highly recommended!
