Love this place! The staff is always always super kind. It’s honestly a safe haven to be able to nerd out with my friends. The food is really good, especially the tots. The drinks are cute too. They’re always running events too. I’ve been going for the mead and minis which is great! If you’re questioning checking out this place - don’t! Just go!

What a cool place to get drinks and play video games or board games. Feel free to bring in whatever board games you own, they have a pretty decent selection as well. The servers were very kind to us, the drinks were really great (even the non-alcoholic ones), and the food was better than I thought it was gonna be. A little pricey when compared to playing games at home, but the atmosphere and food is worth. I can definitely see us coming back a few times a year.

Quite literally the most fun I've had at a game-themed restaurant and bar. Nearly every game you can imagine is housed inside. The food was great and fairly priced. For me, the drinks were the best part. Featuring pop-culture influenced names and Mixologist levels of bartending skill, lovers of spirits will be pleased!

Love this place. They have perfected gaming and hanging out with friends. Great atmosphere

This was a cool place! My husband is a gamer so I figured this was a spot with trying. They have social distance measures in place! They clean the gaming stations after every use! The food was delicious and we were able to place unlimited games for a fairly reasonable price! My husband truly enjoyed himself, I’m not much of a gamer but I had a great time also! Definitely worth checking out!

This is a nerd’s paradise. They have board games, consoles, and pc to play. The drinks are reasonable priced. The staff is super friendly. My favorite is the Tardis in the back which you only understand if you watch Doctor Who. A great spot to come with friends and hang out.

Went here for the first time for a child's birthday party. I was really impressed by the space and the food particularly. I hadn't thought much about coming here before as I thought it was purely a gaming spot. But now I would definitely come back for the food. The burgers were yummy and the Chicken Parm Fries were awesome! Also don't miss out on the desserts - the Thicc Brownie is exactly that - about the size of my hand and warmed up so it's extra fudgy inside. Great atmosphere, even if you don't game, to come sit and enjoy some good food and drinks. I didn't partake of the cocktail menu but there were so many tasty sounding ones that I will be trying next time (sans kiddos).

Amazing food! Such incredible flavors! Don't let the menu confuse you! Your palate with rave! We ordered the Joichiro's special with a Caesar salad and Don't call it Hotlanta with Mediterranean pasta salad. Incredible flavors on all! Also got a Potion of Clarity drink. Just wow! If you are a flavor seeker, this is your stop!

I've been here a number of times, and have had mixed experiences. Overall environment is good if you like nerd stuff, and prices are of usual theme bars. Though reason I'm putting at two stars is from my bar experience. I'm a huge Craft beer nerd, and try many different beers when I can. This night I started with a nice sounding sour they had on tap, and chose the 12oz. When I received it in a plastic cun I was questioning, and noticed that it was your standard 16oz plastic cup. The questionable play was it was half way full, meaning 8oz. My friend had already drank and ordered half way drank his second when I pointed out this pour. Then I showed him the pour of a 12oz can in the same plastic cup and he was rather taken aback. I pointed this out to the bartender who acted surprised, then never gave us a under pour again. Please don't continue this for your customers, even if it was a honest mistake. When your spending $10+ per pour in craft beer, you should get the full amount.

We came here for a Birthday party for an adult Gamer. What you get for the price is amazing. We had the 2nd tier VIP experience and our area was private enough for our needs. Our server was the best! Shout out to the hospitality manager that served us during their staffing shortage. He MADE the experience worthwhile. Will definitely be coming back. The flood and drinks were great too!

This place is amazing. The menu is great, the atmosphere is very fun. Came and played smash with some friends and had such a nice experience. On top of that all the food I had was delicious. I ordered the mushroom burger and the lil mac n cheese. So good. I came for a friend's birthday and I'm pretty sure I'm going to come back for mine. Also they have SO MANY events that like if I lived closer I'd definitely frequent this place. Highly recommend if you're into gaming at all.

A must visit for any nerd/geek in the area. Meet some friends who said it was a good time. The “chicken tenders” with the waffles were great and the drink choices were plentiful. They tasted great to boot. It was a busy night but service could have been a bit better.

I've been a patron of this establishment for 2 birthdays so far. Always a blast and the food is great. Had the pleasure of delivering a rock order to David today. Very kind and professional. Can't wait for my next visit!

As someone who hadn't been to Battle and Brew before I had honestly no clue what to expect when a friend invited me out to hang out. Many many of my friends are frequent visitors of the establishment and so I have been wanting to check it out for myself for a while. I was very excited about this new experience. We arrived and of coarse my friend was welcomed by name as we entered.

Great atmosphere for hanging out with your friends - you can play board games, video games, and even VR. They have a number of events too, so this is a great place for gamers and geeks to hang out and meet. Food isn’t the best for its price, but it’s passable. They serve a wide array of themed drinks, which is pretty cool too. Overall service is really good, and the servers are pretty attentive.

I went in for a friend's birthday and it was my first time visiting. The whole staff was insanely friendly and made sure to take care of my group even though we stayed from open to close. The place itself is a nerd haven, having all sorts of games and nerd culture everywhere. Even the drinks were gaming based like this mana potion drink I had in the attached picture. Josh was our server and he made sure to take great care of us the entire time and I truly appreciate the great care he took of us. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

Pretty cool concept, where you can play games and drink/eat. The drinks are pretty expensive and kinda small and not really strong, but they have some fun ones that taste great. The food is pretty good too!

Came here for an impromptu date night. Cool little spot. We ate, drank, played games, what more can you ask for? It also wasn't crowded which was a plus. We've been debating about buying a Nintendo Switch & this gave us a chance to test it out before buying. Definitely enjoyed our time here. This would be a great place for group outings as well

Went for NYE and had a good time! I had a mixed drink which was good and some loaded tots that were a little overdone (dry) but edible. I'd go again and play console games all night. Have fun!

The drink selection is great, the fact that they have mead on tap is just perfect for me! I will advise against going here for the food however. Maybe its because I've eaten at places that really put thought into the flavors and quality of the food, so I might be spoiled 🤔 The food is essentially non offensive. I tasted the preservatives more than anything. I've always laughed at "white people" food jokes, but this establishment really made a joke into a reality with their mac n cheese. It was simply uninspired kraft with super bland bread crumbs. I will say in their defense that the Peter Parker's Pickles and Peppers were okay. Fairly standard fare but I will be eating prior to drinking here in the future. Otherwise it is a clean establishment with basic service and excellent drink selections.

Unique themed restaurant. Only had one server serving entire restaurant. Very slow service. Food was great and prepared professionally. Be prepared to show ID; however, observed that this was not consistent with other patrons after me.

The place is spacious. Plenty of seating for game playing and dining. What I absolutely love is that the food and drinks are just as great as the purpose of the place. I hate going to a game bar where you're served poor bar food. B&B does not disappoint my belly or my dopamine time hanging with friends. Also, they have a great event calendar- always something new and fun. I hope they open more locations! ((( Grant Park specifically, ha )))

I had a great time at Battle & Brew. They had all the games I grew up playing. From Mario Kart to Halo to Madden. It brought back all the nostalgia. And I got to try some new game I'd never played. I definitely plan to go back.

What a unique find! I was taking my girlfriend to the area I went to college and she found this place. I'm so glad she did! Food Great options. Lots of fun things to try. I got the classic burger and fries and they were great. Service They give you a button to call the waitress when you need her. I thought that was great Atmosphere For a place with gaming, I don't think it gets much better than this. Posters, TVs, video games, costumes, you name it. You really felt the vibe when you are there.

All is still well, just sad that after a year of not visiting, they have removed the brussell Sprouts from the menu. *sad face* However, the Doki Doki is still delicious, and the salad and fried pickles were also great!!! And last but not least, the drinks are still yummy!!!

Amazing place. To play games it is 30 dollars and hour and the server comes and puts you in the game. They have PC games Xbox and PlayStation and the switch. Most of the titles are new and I was able to play the new Tekken 8. Board games are 7 dollars an hour but most are complicated and if you haven’t played them before it takes a while to learn. The food was great burgers were well seasoned and the fries were crispy and seasoned. Water came in a pitcher and you can pour it. The alcoholic drinks came in many different choices and were strong. One drink and I was tipsy. Bring your wallet for a family of four I paid over 100 dollars for food. Kid meals are cheap though.

Pros: Not crowded on Friday around 6:30 PM, mocktails available, fun drinks, great service, family friendly and overall fun environment Cons: Food was mediocre My boyfriend and I visited and had a great time we were there for an hour and a half ($15 per hour/$7.50 per 30mins) and played about three games. We both had an entree with a side, he had 2 jack and cokes and a beer and I had three drinks. Total was $116 which was pretty reasonable with everything we did. I enjoyed my time. Highly recommend. We left around 9 and it was crowded.

Great place for a family dining experience, place to hangout with friends, or a date experience (assuming you like playing video games). They have table top games as well, but the video game play is the real draw (console and PC options). The food was delicious with novelty names and interesting combinations. We had the Bulgogi With Luv (tots) and Chicken Parmesan (fries) appetizers, The Dragon King and Doki Doki Formagio entrees, and the S'mores Bunt Cake dessert. OMG! Everything was like flavor heaven on a plate. The Dragon King had mild heat and savory flavor that complimented each other so well. The S'mores Bunt Cake was decadent! The Tardis bathroom is so well executed it's worth mentioning as another added feature to this awesome place.

This was such an awesome experience. Elle and Ellie were great with service. I had the battle brew punch and my brother had the Thai tea which we both enjoyed. I had the Ghost Burger and he had the B&B Cheesesteak. Very yummy but my fav was the French fries. We did the VIP area and it was more than enough space for two but it was nice that we both could do something different. He already has plans to come back

Great place for dinner and games. it's quaint with a nice vibe to it very quiet place during the day at least until 6. Huge array of games to choose from including console and board games. Food is amazing there! Cooked fresh to order doesn't take very to receive it either. Great place for older teens to adults. It's definitely a no judgement zone.

Love Battle and Brew and decided to have my birthday here. Was a bit dead which gave us the opportunity to eventually settle into the VIP room. Between the myriad game selection, friendly server, and having the opportunity to hear the staff in the back singing along to persona 4 and cowboy bebop soundtracks, it really felt like a night surrounded by kindred spirits.

This isn't a completely unique concept, but a place like this is few and far between. If you are a gamer, be it video, PC, D&D, UNO, Jenga- whatever, then this is a spot for you. Shockingly large menu and good drink selection. This place is a geek paradise, with references all over the place. It is kind of adorable and a spot for people with similar interests to gather and socialize. Are you the only person you know that cosplays? Go here.

The food is routinely good when ordering typical pub fare. The experimental cocktail drinks are fun. The servers always have a ton of personality. They are using disposable plate wear right now, which is a little distracting from a sit down dining experience. Any board games you use then sit on a shelf for 3 days to ensure limited/no germs pass from party to party.

Unique experience, very reminiscent of chillin with the boys on the couch in your mother's basement... or which ever of your friends had a basement and all the video games. Come with friends.. the introverts here are incapable of reaching out, not that they can't be friendly. Week nights and weekends have a special schedule.

All out amazing. While it may not be the place for a budget night, it is definitely a great once a week or every other week place. Every dish on the menu is ON POINT. The drinks are so tasty that they are dangerous. They charge hourly for video games, but if your plan was to go bowling then you should absolutely reconsider and come here instead. I will 100% be returning and recommending this place to EVERYONE. Family friendly, and a great place for adults to have a night out too.

I was honestly very disappointed in the food we ordered. I've been coming here for years and after tonight, I believe it is my last visit. The quality of service and food has gone down to a point where I cannot ignore. I hate to see this happen because it is such a great concept. If management and the owners start to focus more on the quality of the service and quality of products served, I might reconsider coming back. I sincerely hope the menu gets a second look.

It was very obvious that this establishment is focused on the geeky experience of videogame and boardgame lovers alike. There is a broad variety of games and consoles to choose from for friends and dates. The bar is set at the center for anyone to have easy access, if of age of course. This place is ideal for a fun night out when it comes to good drinks and games. That is what allows Battle and Brews to keep its four-star rating, because it would seem the food comes second. I was very much not happy with my burger and even less satisfied with the dessert. I got myself the "Thicc Brownie" which made my mouth dry up immediately. The fries I got for my side were actually pretty good, but didn't fill me up, so having to take in the below average burger was unfortunate. Thing is, I would return, because the staff was very nice and handled the busy environment very well; additionally, the place is very fun and welcoming. I appreciate the established aesthetic and mood that is set as soon as you enter. I will try something else because maybe it was just the burger that wasn't to my liking. We will see. I certainly recommend this place for gamers. Battle and Brew is really good for dates, especially first dates, and there is a good amount of vegan and gluten free food options to pick from, so anyone can find something to order. As far as whether you like it... everyone has their own taste. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Absolutely amazing. I have no words for how much I enjoy this place. We rented out the private area for my wedding’s after party, and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Our servers (Quentin in particular) were absolutely amazing, so friendly, and made sure everything was exactly as we wanted it. Thank you to B&B for making our special day even more special and nerdy, and booze filled!

Absolutely wonderful experience. Im vacationing from VA and found this on TikTok. My boyfriend is a hardcore gamer and loves when I wanna join in. This met all his expectations and I even highly enjoyed it. They don’t take reservations so a Saturday can be busy but it’s definitely worth the hype and the wait. The food was wayyyy better than expected for place where you focus on games. Phenomenal experience all the way around and wish VA had something even close to this.

Amazing food, great portions, and an unbelievable bevy of entertainment options. Battle and brew is a geek paradise. Tonight we played TV theme song trivia, last time we rented some gaming space and played for hours, and every time we come through it's an awesome experience. Fair warning, it's busy as all get out on event nights - reserve a seat or come an hour early!

Let me start by saying I do not game but my son wanted me to go with him so I went and was very surprised. The place seems to be very organized with certain people doing their jobs and they do not cross over between the food and games. With that being said, I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. For food, we had the Triforce Nachos, The Mushroom Kingdom Hamburger and The Dragneel Chicken Sandwich. The portion sizes were large and the overall quality was ok. I was impressed by their health score of "100"! I had a couple of cocktails, the cactus juice and one of their potions but do not recall the name, pictured below. The only complaint I had was our waiter did not follow up with us and we had to constantly ask him for things!

Great place for like minded gamers with some pretty good food. I would stay away from the pretzel and beer cheese as it was tasteless cheese colored water. The burger however (the Ghostbuster) was amazing. . Pretty cool corlored shot flights and decent beer list make for a great time.

I randomly found this place looking for somewhere to take my friend for Father's Day and they did not disappoint. Customer service was great. We came in and the hostess explained everything thoroughly. The drinks and food were awesome. Even tried the mystery shots lol. This is a gamers dream place. We had so much fun playing the video games. .... great atmosphere.

10/10 great experience. Went for Minis & Mead. The host/instructor (Brian) was awesome and super helpful to everyone at the event. Our server (Gaby) was so sweet and charismatic and did not miss a beat. The food was fantastic- not a single complaint from my table, and I didn't hear any complaints from any other tables with food either. The whole place is really cool. You can go in and play video games and/or board games, outside of the events that they offer. They have a full bar (with fun and delicious menu drinks of the spirited and non-spirited varieties) and a clearly fully functioning kitchen. I absolutely intend to come back. I just wish it were closer to me lol I'd be there often.

My friend and I visited for the first time after hearing amazing things, and they're all true! It's a great environment for people like us!! The waitstaff and bartenders are all very friendly, the food was fantastic, and while we didn't do any gaming while we were there, the setups all looked great and we will definitely be doing that next time we go!! The menu items were all named cute nerdy things, my friend got one of the potion drinks which came in a really cute glass - I just love the themeing of everything!!

The food and drinks are delicious! My second time coming here and I’ll definitely come back. I had the Ghostbuster Burger and fries and stamina potion drink and they were absolutely delicious.

It’s a great place to play games with your friends or solo if desired, but after coming here 2 nights in a row, I’ve noticed it’s nearly impossible to get someone to your table to take your order. They have a call button but after hitting the button and waiting 10-20 minutes, and after going to the bar to be told I have to get my order from the table, I’ve given up on trying to order. I would love to try the food and amazing sounding drinks, but it’s just not possible unless you’re sitting at the bar, which defeats the purpose of coming here. Hopefully in the future they can get more attentive staff. Update: Was just told our server was “very busy but would be back later for us”. Included is the picture of the place that is “busy”. Changed to 1 star.

Pros: -the staff who work here are amazing. I can’t imagine the groups of people they have to deal with, especially ours. We had like 20 people, but everyone who helped us was so kind, fun, and attentive. -the cocktails are phenomenal?? If you like ginger, I highly recommend the sailor Venus I think is what it was. I could’ve had 5 of those -couches/chairs/tables for either eating, drinking, chatting, playing games, or hanging with friends. -they have an entire section just for eating if you don’t wanna play video games but wanna do something lowkey like a board game or card games -they also have a bar to sit at! This place just has so much. I’ve only been here twice but each time I was amazed by everything they offer. Such a wide range of specialty cocktails and brews from different locations. Food is great. Atmosphere is fun. They have so much here.

Fun place. Great staff. Korean food was meh. Best menu options are the American food choices. Had to wait a good bit for the check before we could leave. We had fun.

I haven't been here in years and it's gone under a major face lift. The "new" (to me) look is fantastic and so warm and welcoming. The seating is so much better for groups and tabletop games. We had some of the garlic bread and fried pickles and there's an overwhelming polarization of enjoyment. The garlic bread was by far one of the best things I've enjoyed whereas the pickles while heavily in abundance were way way too salty. Before you yell at me and tell me pickles are salty, yes they are. But added salt in the breading makes the sheer amount of salt just painful. That said, the service was great, cocktails were nerdy inspired and delicious. I had the princess peach and it was a great cocktail to sip on. I could complain and say it was uncomfortably hot, and it was, but with the amount of TV's, consoles, pc's AND it being summer...it was the best it could be I imagine. Getting a couch to game on was smooth and easy, setup and assistance was fantastic and overall it's the B&B I remember from years ago. Definitely coming back and not waiting years to do it.

I love coming here! Once you get inside, the general layout is very flat and spread out, so there's room to maneuver and lots of games to play. There are a few specific sections where certain games are placed where, if you want to gain access to them, you will have to climb two steps. Nothing insurmountable. There's plenty of board games, console games and retro games to spend time on. Also, the menu is also video game themed. There's also many events that you can go to for fun, like trivia, Magic the gathering and figurine painting.

Had a great time at Xanathar's Brunch. Great storytelling and fun times. Food was pretty good. I had the brunch burger. It was not cooked to order, but the egg was just perfect. Wife had the chicken and waffle. Great breading...good waffle. Bloody Mary's were on point.
