Found this quaint Ethiopian/Eritrean restaurant in Briarcliff for lunch. The food was fresh and tasty. I loved the ambiance. The space was decorated with cultural pieces and ya girl loved all the plants. FYI the menu no longer includes meat, it’s mostly vegan with two fish options. When we visited it was not busy at all, service was quick. Hubby & I enjoyed our intimate lunch. My favorite was the sambusa.

Delicious and ❤️ heart warming. I love the food. It's beautiful and healthy hot food. As in streaming hot made fresh. The Brussels sprouts were amazing with the sauce. The Chef special is the bomb. OMG. I forgot to a take pic. I dived in the plate so fast .I ate half of it before I remembered to take a picture. Hot coffee ☕️ with chocolate dessert. Perfect. This is my new favorite restaurant. Hand down. Try it. If you like spicy foods they have it. If you like it mild they can make your food just right for your palate. The chef special is perfect. Salmon vegetables over beautiful yellow basmati rice. Great cuisine. Great customer service. Great atmosphere. You will love it.

Lots of vegetarian/vegan options! I got the vegan platter & it was delicious. I also ordered sambusas and man, I wish I had gotten more than one order, they were SO good! I also enjoyed looking at the large photographs on the walls; gorgeous.

This quiet tucked away GEM is truly a hot spot for Delicious Ethiopian food. The ambiance, the art work (breathtaking), the music, the cleanliness of the restaurant, and the food made this my favorite go-to place. In addition, the service was impeccable. Kudos to my server that recommended the “Chef’s Special Tibs” and to the Manager that checked in and interacted with us. Thank you for the great service and food.

A great atmosphere to unwind. The owner went to great lengths with an authentic and captivating ambiance. The food was nothing short of spectacular and the service was well above standard. I'll be back for more and I highly recommend it.

Love the atmosphere, customer service and most importantly the food! I really enjoyed my meal! Highly recommended. The server was really nice and asked if any of us were vegan. It was so nice that they are vegan and allergy friendly. They will customize the ingredients for you 👍👍👍👍

How this place has a single bad review is beyond me. Y'all, everything was perfect. Walked in and was greeted promptly. Place was clean and beautiful. Saw someone sitting at the bar and asked for advice on what to order and surprise! the lady introduced herself as the owner! She then kindly and patiently goes over the menu, a brief description of Eritrean food/history and she suggested some delicious food! Got my food a few minutes later. Everything was expertly packaged and divided. Got home and food was delicious! I don't have a single complaint. Not one! And I'm not exaggerating. Go here! Yesterday! Thanks Feedel! You have a regular customer now!

What an amazing experience Feedel Bistro 🔥 not only was the food absolutely extraordinary but the service and warmth from the staff took the entire experience to the next level. It was such a rare treat taking my mom visiting from Peru to experience new foods she’s never had before. The food is flavorful, comforting and healthy. So many vegan options! Feedel has officially become a part of our repeat ATL roster. Cannot recommend this gem of a restaurant enough!

This place was very good! I’ll definitely be back. I had the sambusa appetizer, the vegan sampler plate and a traditional coffee which was delicious. Service was also great, and a very nice atmosphere.

Outstanding! I ordered the sambusas and the vegetarian sampler and both were fresh, light and very delicious. Also, the bread and coffee were very, very good. Good customer service in a very attractive and clean restaurant.

I really enjoy Ethiopian food and I'm always looking for new spots around the city. I have a few other go-to spots and I'm adding Feedel to that list because they have a few things on their menu that really sets them apart for other Ethiopian restaurants. First, the spread and variety of foods they prepared for the event I attended were amazing and really gave us a chance to try the dishes that set them apart from the rest. Second, everything on the menu was really good and while there were things that just were not "my" preference in general, the way they are prepared here I would absolutely try them again. As I've said, everything was amazing and delicious but my absolute favorites and what I'll be returning to have are: Feedel hummus, fu'ul, tofu fettuccine, and sagla's spris salmon. These are the dishes that really set them apart and dishes I have never seen at other Ethiopian restaurants. The hummus was a nice surprise since I associated it with Middle Eastern cuisine, but the hummus here made me completely forget that. The fu'ul was another surprise for me, as I don't eat fava beans often so I had no expectations but I was blown away by the fu'ul, it might be by favorite of the favorite's. People often try to do bean chili in place of a meat based chili and it rarely works out well, this is the opposite of that. The fu'ul tastes exactly like chili, a very well done vegetarian chili. I've never seen salmon on an Ethiopian menu, so again I wasn't sure what to expect with the Sagla's spirs salmon. Maybe other meat based Ethiopian dishes since the ingredients are the same. It was delicious. And finally the tofu fettuccine which we had at the end of the meal. Another dish I've never had and was pleasantly surprised by. It was light, delicious, and a perfect end to an already amazing meal. I lean more on the pescatarian side, but the dishes are prepared so well here that you don't even realize that most of the dishes were vegan or vegetarian. Over all amazing experience and I can't wait to go back.

The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated and lit, it would be a good place for a date night or a chill hang with friends. I ordered the chickpea tibs, tofu spagla spris, and the sambusa. The entrees said they would come with lentils, but I don't think there were any lentils in the tofu dish. The chickpea tibs were very bitter/turmeric heavy, so if I go back I would want to see if the awaze tibs would be better. The sambusa was great, would order again. The injera was just a little too fermented and hardy. I've had injera from Ghion and Embilta that have had better textures and tastes to them, but it could have just been the batch of batter Feedel used on the night I went that wasn't good. Will update with more stars if I go back and the food turns out to be better!

Where do I start? As soon as I walked in the decor and ambiance caught my attention. The place is absolutely culturally beautiful. From the wine glass chandelier, to the cutouts , to the art on the wall. I was thoroughly impressed. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was not only pleasant when we walked in ( she held the door, while helping a table) but took a moment to make our experience unforgettable. Now that we know that the place is awesome , what about the food..... I only ordered a desert but it was ammmmaaaaazzziiiinnnggg. I had a raspberry chocolate cake mousse and it was delicious, and I paired with an Ethiopian Honey Wine😋. I would recommend this place to anyone, wether it be dinner date , family time , or a corporate business meeting. They have a new customer family member, and they don’t even know it 🙂. Oh and make sure to try the Ginger tea ❤️❤️❤️. Good job Feedel Bistro.

I wish I had knew about this place sooner but as they said better late than never. Ethiopian cuisine is one of my favorites and after the one near me had unfortunately closed down, I was a bit blue about not having quality Ethiopian food near me anymore. I would sometimes go to one in Atlanta but they have only been doing to-go since the pandemic and living 38 mins outside Atlanta, getting to go Ethiopian food and trying to eat and drive back home so that you can enjoy most of the food before it gets cold, isn’t too ideal. Something told me today while I was in Dekalb to google “Ethiopian restaurants,” near me and as soon as I read the reviews and saw the images of the food at this place, I knew this was end game. I dined in with my mom and two sons, unbeknownst we met one of the owners who took in our orders and brought out our appetizers. She was so nice and warming. The Sambusas were HEAVEN... didn’t even bother using the sauce that came with mine (although I regret it because the owner said it was absolutely divine). One of the servers named Chelsea I believe, brought and served our meals in an awesome traditional presentation. My son had the bozena shiro with lamb tibs instead of beef tibs. My mom had doro wat which was the best she’s ever had (and she’s a tough person to impress), and my lamb tibs tasted like heaven itself / my younger son was in love with the red lentils, which was another home run. The restaurant was clean and what I loved about it is how you can tell the owners take care of their staff because it reflects on their amazing service, food quality, and personalities. We will be back for sure to patronize this new gem of ours!

I'm not a vegan, but I was with vegans, so when in rome. I got the vegan sampler. I liked somethings better than others. The cabage was my favorite. I tried the sambusa and it was delicious. It was a quaint place with a chill vibe. I liked the photos on the wall.

Owner was incredibly kind and the decorations were beautiful. They have teff injera option. The food is presented creatively, you get 1 piece of injera for the entire order which is uncommon. But the order I had was lacking flavor and taste and even salt. Lacked authentic taste.

Amazing service with an authentic atmosphere. Food was beyond great and I would gladly go back on a regular basis if I lived closer. Keep up the fantastic work!

Loved the ambience of the place. They had some interesting Ethiopian music playing. I can't comment about the authenticity of the food as I tried Ethiopian for the first time. The food is really healthy. I'm a vegetarian and they had good options! And it's close to Indian food as well. Most importantly the service is great! Kibret single handedly managed the complete restaurant. I'd definitely suggest trying the amazing drinks she makes.

GO TO DESTA!!!! The food is NOT good and they over charged me. The lentils had no flavor and the Sembusa was cold. I do not recommend. I should’ve went across the street to eat.

I really love this place! Not only is the luxuriate atmosphere delightful, the food is AMAZING!!! I have been going for years, this is my girl time meet up spot with my friend TK. Its always clean and the owner is the most amazing women I've ever met in my life, she always takes great care of us. I get the Sagla Spris with salmon and greens, so good. I also enjoy the Sambusa and I've recently tried the vegan sampler. All delish! I have tried to recreate my favorite drink from this place and I continue to fail lol. I get a raspberry mule with patron (There are raspberries in it!!!). Ive tried the honey wine I think it is and shots from time to time.....Did I say I love this place? BTW I was so heartbroken during pandemic when I drove to you and was left with Desta for my birthday instead, please never close again.....As long as I'm in the country, ill be visiting! Oh and can you stay open 24 hours in case its 8am and I want a Mule. lol Thanks Shay

This was our first time eating here and it will also be the last. The restaurant is very nice and the sambusa were good. The food however was tasteless. I had the Derek tips, I did not taste kibe (Ethiopian spiced butter or any seasoning) it was just tomatoes and onions. The injera was also not good and we received 2 tiny pieces to eat with out and then were charged 1.00 for extra and did not even get the whole injera just received two small pieces again. They also charged $1.00 for the mitmita which is fine I took it home. The waiter was also not very knowledgeable on the menu items.

I had such a great time here. The food was everything!!! The honey wine (Tej) is really good, sweet and light. The beef awaze was spicy and saucy which is everything I love in a meal. My friend got the rib tips and they were excellent. Everything was served with a salad and injera.

Words fail to adequately capture what it means to my wife, our son and I to have found and frequented Feedel Bistro. The lovely, gracious, kind and loving owner, Tamar swept us off our feet and treated us like we were family. Her food is delightful. Her presentations flawless. Her decor perfect. Her welcoming embrace is a perfect expression of her kindness and warmth. We haven’t seen her for far too long because of the COVID pandemic but there is no doubt that our hearts are stolen by her restaurant, her food and her gracious hospitality. Look no further for Ethiopian/Eritrean cuisine. This is home.

This place has the best Sambusa (samosas) I’ve ever had. The vegan platter is average, lacking flavor and the Tess Injira bread is actually a little sour. Great desserts however. Service is great

Definitely a different experience something I will have to get used to. The vibe was really intimate and good

  • 5/5 Jordan A. 3 years ago on Google
Excellent experience all around! Vegan Sample Platter was beautifully plated, diverse in flavor, and incredibly satisfying. The injera (teff flatbread) was lightly sour, and spongy enough to sop up all the wonderful spices. The waitress, who was also the co-founder (siblings), struck a delightful balance between professional and casual, knowledgable and humble.

I didn’t want to eat McDonalds for lunch today, so I Looked up a new place close to the job site and decided to order from Feedel bistro. So glad I did! The sambusas with chicken were the best I’ve ever had, and the beef and lamb in spicy curry was about as close to perfection as you can get. I’ll be back soon for dinner:) Thank you, Max Levitt

Amazing! 100% recommend a visit. Service was lovely. Ruth and Chelsea were friendly and helpful. Drinks were scrumptious. Highly recommend Mama’s Special — it’s more than enough for 2! Sambusas were also very good. A warning for patrons that the Goden Tibs are on the tough side. It’s possible that this is the way they’re authentically cooked, but you should be warned!
