I came here with high hopes that I would get a good late night meal, but I was let down. I came around 10pm and was a bit confused at the signage on the To-Go window. The wording and hours were inconsistent with Google which said they "closed at 11pm" (though I knew it was said to be 24/7). We decided to ask the man at the window if they were closed or closing soon and he just walked away without a word then came back. We asked again and he kept looking at the sign as if we didn't read it before saying yes. That was an odd first impression, but he ended up being nice otherwise and I understand being a worker in a night shift isn't very fun so I wasn't too upset anyhow. What really disappointed me was the food and the pricing. I ordered one of the special combos with French toast, eggs, chicken sausage, and cheese grits. There was also a "Take Out Fee" of almost $3 for some reason which I was unaware of until I had to pay. It was all around $20 which is quite steep for one meal with no drinks or anything, but I heard the portions were good so I continued. When I got home and opened the food I was met with a very disappointingly small portion. The French toast pieces were tiny with only one tiny slice of banana on each but they tasted great otherwise, the eggs were mostly tasteless, the chicken sausage was tough, but the grits were pretty good. Maybe the food is better when you are dining in or something, but I don't think I want to waste another $20 trying to find out. I wanted to like this place but I am not so sure I can say it was a great experience like I expected.

Adorable and quirky spot, perfect for brunch! Our whole table ordered the Buckhead Betty and we all sat in silence while eating because it was that good. Diverse menu with vegan options and unique drinks - everything sounded delicious and I’d come back to try more! :)

One of my friend has reserved this place as we were meeting him after a long time. A nice restaurant. Menu has vegetarian options in all sections of the food. They have a famous breakfast options. The parking is free so remember to take correct turn. The adjacent parking lot is paid but not the one behind this restaurant. The street on this restaurant is quite busy so it is slow to get it to it. People welcomed once we were there. The service as quick. The dessert was also good.

Delicious spot! Came with a friend for breakfast. Delicious! Great portions for the price. Egg whites were great, as were the pancakes! I didn't try the French toast, but my friend seemed to really love it. Coffee was good. Staff was friendly and masked. Would for sure recommend!

R Thomas is one of my favorite places to eat especially since it has many dairy free and gluten options. I decided to get the Mediterranean bowl and it didn’t disappoint! The food was delicious especially the sun dried tomato quinoa. If you are looking for a unique restaurant that serves all day breakfast, pasta, sandwiches, etc this is a good choice.

A Mystical place !!!! From the entrance up to the table you feel in a nice magical an nice place and why can I say about food..... tasty ! And drinks are so good omg!! I love this place my first time there and I wanna come back soon. Pasta is really tasty, wings are so delicious I felt that every piece of food was make slow with passion every plate that I saw in different tables look pretty tasty and good. If you want drink some try coconut drinks they are coming with abreka coconut. The decorations on the walls in the entrance ara very cool ! Just a negative point is they have a kinda birds in a cages and isn't good animal should be free specially when the can't take a good rest due to they are in the main entrance and people is coming and come out in there cars.

Despite being busy and short staffed, we received excellent, quality service that we are always used to! I’ve been going to this place for years and I always enjoyed the menu and the fact that they stay vegetarian/vegan friendly. Their hours are insane and they serve breakfast all day. My kind of people. The lattes are naturally sweet and warm, the meat is always cooked perfectly, and the pasta was extremely addicting. All in all, yet again, they continue to provide quality service and food in these trying times and that’s why I will continue to go here. P.S. say hi to the parrots on the way in and out the door!

Raven took great care of us. I ordered the spicy fish tacos gluten free and "The Champ" fresh made juice absolutely wonderful. My Dad got the big breakfast special with the French toast and strawberries and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I have been here many times. This is my favorite place to bring people when I go to Atlanta.

Was here for my first time last week and it was amazing. Great smoothies and awesome food. Next time in Atlanta I’m definitely stopping in again for a meal

The food was very fresh, especially the fruit side. The omelette was very good but the toast was a little off. The blue moon tea was excellent and was hot! I would like to return to try some of the other fare.

Eh, honestly this is a late night last resort spot. The food is similar to a diner and if that’s what you feel, go for it. The food came in a reasonable time. The tacos were good, having broccoli on them was weird but good. The Pasta was good, but it was very basic like it was for children. DO NOT get the chicken in this pasta, it was a bit dry. The salmon was very good and the potatoes was good. The green beans were a bit undercooked but I suppose that’s good if you want to be healthier. Lastly the teriyaki bowl was pretty good. Mine had Tofu and the tofu is soft and chewy (you have to like it). Really pay attention to the vegetables in the dish, maybe you could have some removed like the celery. Also if you’re looking for a drink, they don’t have good ones, mainly a wine and beer spot. Wear warm clothes. I’m here in the winter and they sat us near the end of the tent, so my butt was freezing but my friends were fine.

What an amazing find. This eclectic restaurant located in Buckhead, offers an amazing unique breakfast. The portions are large the prices are reasonable. Outstanding service by the white staff and the food is absolutely delicious. I enjoyed a half order of French toast, small home fries and crispy bacon. The coffee was fresh roasted extremely tasty. While I am known to be very picky about the service in any restaurant, this place does an absolute outstanding job in all categories. As someone who travels 100,000 miles a year, I highly recommend this place for breakfast.

Always come here when I crave some French Toast. The best around. I chose the big breakfast. Scrambled eggs are amazing and so if the veggie sausage. Delicious is all I can say to this. The staff is always super friendly as well.

The key lime pie is very sweet, but has a beautiful chocolate swirl presentation. The beef burger was juicy. I enjoyed the home fries served with the burger. They were made completely from scratch (thank God not from Sysco)!

I have been a customer since 2005. I love everything on the menu! Now, it's my 13yr old's favorite place to eat in ATL! Update: Can you believe she's 17 now & it's STILL our spot! 💕 We loved the birds so much, we stopped on our way home last time & adopted one! 🦜❤️

The lavender Jasmine chai latte was an out of this world mouth orgasm. 💯 The breakfast burrito was amazing and just the egg sampler with chicken sausage.

We try to find restaurants that can accommodate multiple (some very strict) diets. R. Thomas fit the bill! The food was so good! I didn't give it 5 stars because the traffic noise is awful and we were seated right up against the plastic curtain that separates the tables from cars whizzing by. Also, our waiter was okay, not superb. They have a very limited booze menu.

Great late night vegan and vegetarian options! The veggie sausage was tasty, as was the tofu scramble. The french toast was also very good. Great portions and great environment. The service was fast and friendly even though they were super busy.

Great food, slightly pricey breakfast, but as my partner said, "This is Buckhead." Eggs were done perfectly to order. So many places can't get "over medium" right, but here, they do. Homemade bread is used for the French Toast, and as seen in the photo, it's scrumptious. (That's a HALF order, incidentally!) My partner's breakfast burrito eats most restaurants' regular burritos for breakfast, and really, that's my pun of the morning. Fantastic service, great atmosphere, and a fantastic understanding of vegan and vegetarian lifestyles help makes this a place I'll be bringing guests ever onward.

The food choices were vast which makes for a pleasant experience for people with special dietary requirements. Everything I've had there has been amazing. I have never been disappointed. My favorite is the lemon chicken linguine. OMG!!!

Great atmosphere where a delicious breakfast is served up! Even short on wait staff, or service was good AND friendly. One word of warning, if you love robust, flavorful coffee, order a big cup of espresso and just add half and half. That solution came from our server when we asked if he had stronger coffee (not a fan of the regular cup of Joe). His suggestion was spot on. Thanks for a wonderful California Omelet and the fantastic R's Big Breakfast... We'll be back!

We found this place by chance. And now we go there every week. One of the few restaurants that I can say that everything that I ordered is very good.

The food and service was absolutely EXCELLENT!!! Today was my first time dining here and it surely will not be my last. I got the Big Breakfast with French toast, eggs, potatoes, and bacon. Needless to say, the food was absolutely delicious and I can't wait to go back again and try something else. Do yourself a favor and grab the Chips Deluxe appetizer 😉. R. Thomas is hands down my lifetime favorite restaurant for all it's glorious food AND atmosphere AND history. Anyone and I mean anyone can find something delicious to feast upon with anybody else. All preferences and dietary restrictions can easy be accommodated with joy. Staff are good folk. During Covid they are open! Support them by getting take out. They do have dining in but it should be noted the covered patio seating (which is the only seating) is fully enclosed with AC and fans but technically not outside. I can't say enough about the food though seriously eclectic menu! Take a few min to meet the aviary of rescued exotic birds. This is deliberately a high sensory experience as R. Thomas added random bits and pieces over the course of his blissed out retirement and adventures. I miss R Thomas himself but I am so glad he left us this piece of his personality and life, which he put so much love, time, and attention into. Choosing deliberately to never franchise after having come from an astounding career of pushing fast food all across the nation for decades.

The service was very good and courteous! The food was amazing! The big breakfast was very filling and the king chicken omelet was one of the best omelets we've ever had! The white chocolate raspberry cheesecake is to die for! A little pricey but large servings. You get what you pay for. We will be back someday!

Was visiting from out of town. And an Atlanta native told me this was a good mood food spot to try. And I'll say it's a very cool place with friendly staff. Food was phenomenal and reasonably priced. Definitely will be back to try more things.

We love eating here. The food is so fresh. They have the best bacon in town and their eggs are awesome. We brought family several times and they loved the seafood omelette and the French toast. Portions are generous. As of the February all mimosas are half price on Sunday. I highly recommend this friendly delicious place.

We love this funky little gem in the heart of Atlanta! The food is scrumptious and satisfying for us and our picky young kids as well! Benny’s fast, thorough yet unpretentious service was beyond compare! He was gracious and attentive with a friendly genuine smile and complete knowledge of the surprisingly complex flavor index presented on the menu. The icing on the proverbial cake is that parking is free and they are open all night! I can’t overstate how much we enjoyed this restaurant and we will go back on EVERY trip we make through Atlanta, Georgia! Way to prove that local is better!

Pretty cool menu with a focus away from artificial additives and fried foods. Very impressive beverage menu and for our vegan friends...PLENTY of options. You won't find ice cream or chicken tenders on the menu but lots of organic options.

I visited the r Thomas deluxe grill while in Atlanta to see a friend for the week, I was definitely pleased with their product and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. I had a chicken noodle dish and a piece of wonderful vegan carrot cake that was quite delicious there are really cool live parrots surrounding the building outside in cages that you can stop and interact with and the staff was quite pleasant the atmosphere was friendly and I would definitely recommend return visits to this location if you're looking for a good meal in a friendly nice clean area.

The good old days ❤️😊 The decorum is fun and service is great and the food is spectacular. I have a long list of favorites Penne Pasta, Portabella Linguine, Lemon & Herb Linguine, Chicken Wings & French Toast. This visit I indulged in The Bubba Gump and Gaucho Love drink and as always I was delighted.

Great great spot for breakfast! Brought a vegetarian friend and she loved it. Ample parking & fun menu. Good portion sizes too - my pancakes were absolutely amazing. Would come back here in a heartbeat.

Hungry late at night? This is the place to eat! I ordered a ginger tea that was very refreshing. Then I got the French toast meal with chicken sausage. My waitress was amazing so go check it out.

If I owned a restaurant, it would be a lot like this. Enjoyed visiting with the birds, one started clucking like a chicken. 😂 Decor feels a lot like my friends' homes. The Frozen Champ beverage somehow cools and warms me at the same time. Lemon and herb linguine is very delicious and reasonably priced.

Started w/ 1 lb. of marinated free range chicken wings, slow oven roasted, chargrilled, and tossed in R's Classic Wing Sauce. 2nd - R’s Breakfast Special: Gluten Free Pancakes with no powdered sugar but with strawberries, 2 eggs scrambled well w/ cheese, chicken sausage, and home fries. 3rd - 9 Dollar Shake: Whole coconut, raw cacao, strawberries, gojis, super protein mix, maca extreme, super green, mesquite meal, blue manna, and doubke shot of agave. We so love the food here. All was so Yummy 😋 🍽

R Thomas has consistently served atlanta some of the healthiest and tasty options in the city for over 30 years. Internal flair and café bistro vibe. Always a colorful crowd. Tons of vegan options and carnivores have quality sourced meats. I’ve been coming here as long as I’ve lived here and it never disappoints. Plus it’s now open till 5 a.m. nice to know if you get the munchies in the middle of the night you can eat quality fresh goodies.

Service is always great, coffee occasionally iffy, food spot on. Really enjoy the French toast and maple syrup. My go to place for quick delicious breakfast/lunch. The birds are always interesting and hold their heads so you can scratch them. Parking is on a steep hill but free!!

My wife and I had the tofu curry wrap which was to die for. Yes for you none vegetarians they have chicken 🐔. Also had the Donkey Kong smoothie which I have every time I eat here. Left happy stuffed and satisfied 🤙🏽

The food was delicious, and dessert was amazing. Lots of vegan options when it comes to food and drinks. Staff was efficient, professional, and compassionate towards the children. R. Thomas is a must see for anyone coming to visit (or currently living in) Atlanta. Each dish I’ve tried is delicious and made with care. The juices are awesome as well! Excellent options for vegetarians and those who don’t eat gluten. Plus, the ambiance is whimsical and wonderful.

Love this place! I'm sad that they reduced the menu due to Covid. I miss some of their dishes. Great spot for taking out of towners who want to experience Atlanta's healthier food choices.

Finally a restaurant that has many plant based options and stays open late. This place is great for brunch or after the party. I come here every time I visit ATL. The menu selection is huge and more than enough to try something different every visit from Smoothies, vegan meat loaf, Pasta, etc. This is not 5 stars because parking can be a hassle but mostly enough behind the restaurant, service is not fast and that is well known . Don’t go there in a rush.

This is a great place to go at any time of the day or night! The atmosphere is unique and fun! The service is spot on and the food is amazing! No matter what you order it’s going to be delicious! We went today with a large crowd and the server was top notch and very accommodating! At the end of the meal we were able to meet one of the owners and staff members and a very special guest! Unfortunately, I didn’t get any pictures of my food but trust me when I say it looked and tasted amazing!
