We had a party of 2 at 3:30 pm on a Tuesday. Service was good! We got our food in a timely manner. We split both dishes. Here’s what we got: - Lil Greek Salad ($7.95): Even though it’s “lil,” it is enough for 2 people to split as an appetizer. Their portions are so generous. Always quality ingredients. I love dipping the pizza crust in the Esperanza dressing. - Small Cheese Pizza with Mushrooms & Pineapples ($10 + $3.20 for toppings): Good. But there were pieces of sausage on it and we didn’t order that. If you’re allergic, make sure to tell your waiter so you don’t accidentally get unwanted ingredients. Mellow is consistently good across all locations I’ve been to. A great staple for pizza and salad, though they do have other things too!

We used to get mellow mushroom all the time when we lived in Conyers but ever since moving to Midtown the pizza has been bad time after time not only is the crust burnt the pizza wasn’t really made well and also was cut so oddly. You cut a pizza into eight equal slices I don’t understand why that’s complicated but two out of every five pizzas I get from mellow are cut incorrectly like this one

Went to use my free pretzel bites and custom pizza. It was ok. Their pizza is usually good. But today, the crust was very hard on the bottom.

What a surprise! They have several vegan options and even have a separate Vegan Menu! And it was good! We ordered a large pizza and half Miss Mushroom and Half Vegan Supreme(I believe). My boyfriend liked Supreme and I liked Miss Mushrooms, so it worked out great! We ate half at the restaurant and took half home. Photo of Miss Mushrooms on the menu had more mushrooms than the actual pizza, but it was tasty! Service was great, we contacted two ladies and both of them were friendly and super nice. It’s not the best pizza dough in the world, but overall, we enjoyed and liked it!

The pizza was half cooked we had a large with veggies on it. The second large buffalo chicken was a fantastic pizza. Just poorly cut. Just a heads up y'all can do better in the middle of midtown.

Our waitress Breona was excellent but the establishment overall was not clean and very unorganized. It was like a bunch of kids working there with no adult supervision. Never coming back

Fun place to eat. I had waiter Jacob. He was wonderful to us! The food is champ! Suggestions: I think that the hand towel receptacle is perched too high on the wall and not quite accessible for wheelchair users or small children. My friend's small child couldn't reach the touch sensor. Maybe lower the hand towel receptacle would help.

Dogs are not welcomed on the patio here.....weird policy considering it's on the beltline and all the other restaurants in the same plaza welcome dogs on the patio. Hope they reconsider this policy

Came here on a Sunday night around 19:00 and waited over an hour for one pizza. The pizza was fine, nothing to write home about. The food and drinks here are extremely expensive. A large pizza is upwards of $30. We ordered an IPA and were served warm beer in what was possibly the smallest glass I’ve ever seen for a beer. $8 wasted. The service was not great. The waitress was extremely awkward and took forever to bring us our drinks. Moreover when we asked for a side of ranch she brought us the smallest condiment cup I’ve ever received. Truthfully, we likely won’t ever return. Would much rather cook a frozen pizza and enjoy a cold beer for a reasonable price.

The food is *ok* -- I was there a few days ago, had a calzone. However... I got booted today, while coming to see a movie (mainly to support Landmark -- could have seen it elsewhere). I blame the businesses at the mall for allowing such draconian enforcement of the booting: I was with my friend today. He wanted ice cream; I wanted Starbucks; we decided to get ice cream first, bring it back, have Starbucks coffee; and then later see the movie (Lamb). We left the lot for like 10 minutes, to get ice cream, but returned empty-handed (I didn't want to wait in line). Went to Starbucks, and then Trader Joes (to get cheese, to sneak into the theater to have with wine -- wine purchased at theater). And then I returned to my car, and found it was booted. I told the woman I had left the lot for only like 10 minutes, told her about Starbucks and Trader Joes, and she said, "I know... we saw you." The bill was $75. I'm not going to spend another dollar in this mall again (and Landmark can go out of business for all I care) -- and I spend a *considerable* amount, including a few times at Mellow Mushroom -- again, it's not my favorite restaurant by any stretch (and service could be better); but it'll do in a pinch.

Wife got thin crust for some reason. They must have heard "wide crust." There are only ingredients on the center 40% of the pizza. At mellow prices you should be able to reasonably expect mellow quality.

We like coming here but last visit (today) was marginal at best. I would give it less than 3 stars for our visit today, but since we've never had a problem before this visit I'll stick with a 3 star. Our server Cole was a great guy; great service, etc, but pizza was burned and we didn't have time to reorder (though he did ask us if we wanted to reorder). We had the House pizza, with bacon and meat and ham and all the veggies, and it is probably normally good, but it was burned and very greasy. I also think Cole misunderstood when we asked how much a pitcher was when we were ordering beer, we just wanted a glass each but we were brought a pitcher. Bruschetta for appetizer was good, but we'd rather have more of the glaze ON the bruschetta instead of trying to make it look cute and artsy and swirled all over the plate. It may look swell on the food network, but it sure isn't easy to scrape glaze off a plate with toast that has tomatoes on it. I'm sure we'll come back sooner or later, but we won't rush back.

This is my second time getting a pizza at this chain with vegan cheese. at this particular location, I got their Buffalo chicken pizza and it was delicious! The crust is perfect. I have no complaints except for the pizza size for the price.

A patron came in with a dog in his arms, which was not a service animal. I requested to speak to the manager. A friend of that dog owner verbally accosted me. I should have called the police as I was fearful for my life. The manager came over & told me that anyone could bring a dog inside the restaurant & there was nothing they could do about the dog or the other patron.

Meg was our server this evening. This beautiful young lady was helpful and very knowledgeable of the menu. We were very impressed with her kindness and professionalism. There was a great selection of music. The staff seemed to like each other and even the cooks had a positive attitude! Although we are out of towners, we will be back!!! Thank you, Meg, for a memorable experience!!!

Welcomed and seated promptly, although first advised there would be a 30 minute wait. Nicole was an exemplary server. Pizza was good although a bit bland, “lil” salads good but at $7.55 each we thought pricey for a side salad at a pizza parlor. Overall a good experience and satisfying meal.

Talk about an amazing place. Visiting from out of town for a conference. 5 minutes away from the hotel & in the same center as Trader Joe’s. Service was excellent both visits. One night we had expected to get it to go because of the time but we welcomed to dine in arriving a 1/2 hour before closing. We really enjoyed the suggestion of the Cobb Salad less blue cheese add feta with ranch dressing.

I am usually a big fan of Mellow Mushrooms, mostly because of the vegan options, but this is the only time I have ever been this disappointed at their service. We ordered our pizzas, and I ordered mine with vegan cheese and some veggies. When it came to the table, it did not look like the vegan cheese I had been served at countless other locations. I asked the server to double check because I had an allergy and was familiar with the typical cheese. He brought it back to the kitchen and asked, and we were immediately shot dirty looks at from kitchen staff. He brought it back and told us that it was dairy-free and just melts differently. Ate half of the pizza before beginning to feel light headed and sick, and noticed that the kitchen were STILL glaring at us every time I looked in that direction. For the rest of the meal, we were barely even acknowledged by ANY of the staff. And felt completely unwelcome and ignored for asking to not be given an allergen, and was almost brought to tears. I am usually impressed by service by other Mellow locations, but severely disappointed with this one.

Like the Decatur location, it’s tough to recommend Mellow Mushroom due to consistently mediocre service. For takeout, it’s hopeless knowing when your food will actually be ready. And it’s not clear why this is hard because it’s not like a pizza place is a new idea. There are better places to give your business.

I have been a loyal customer of the Midtown Mellow Mushroom location for 30+ years, Here is why… From management to serving staff and food prep/cooks…they are ALWAYS, ALWAYS attentive to their customer’s needs so the experience at the establishment is top notch. Kudos to Mellow Midtown for being consistent EVERYDAY, from the authenticity of the menu to the fabulous service at the bar. There is no place like “The Shroom” in Midtown Atlanta!!

Got the chicken calzone. IT. IS. HUGE. You really get your money's worth. Literally two people can share one. And the sauce was so good with it. Our waiter was perfect and it isn't a cramped space. Plenty of free parking available is also a plus. Not to mention the beltline is only steps away.

This is hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had. My pizza tasted watery with a really disgusting after taste. I sat there for 2.5 hrs between waiting on the pizza and waiting on my check. All of this to receive a bill at full price with a hurt stomach. We sat there after close waiting for a check to be brought to us for 20+ minutes. Update: The owner emailed me just to tell me that I was wrong and that she finds it “highly unlikely” that her pizza could’ve tasted bad. On that same note, I find it highly unlikely that our waitress along with one other would’ve told us that multiple customers complained about the strange taste of their pizzas if they didn’t taste bad that particular night. She continued on to tell me my whole time line was wrong - not the case. She did, however, make a strong point that I did eat the pizza (because I was hungry and it was getting too late to go elsewhere) but this also didn’t matter as I didn’t ask for any discount and even mentioned that I wasn’t looking for one. I just simply wanted to report the concern. Regardless, the owner was even less concerned than the restaurant itself. After a long battle within this treacherous war she did offer me a pitiful $25 towards my next pizza (of which I politely declined). I think I would rather eat sleep for dinner than come back here. 1 star is generous.

Last night my friends and I (Who work at a mellow mushroom) decided to go in and see what Atlanta Mellow was about. We were extremely disappointed and should have listened to locals who told us the Mellow in midtown was not good. We were greeted by a host who was annoyed we wanted to sit at the bar waving his hands around like we asked a hard request. (If the employees did the scoox they’d know how to handle the situation properly.) After learning there was 3 bar stool and 4 of us we said our 4th was fine with standing. As the host asked the bartender(with red hair in braids and a collared shirt who’s probably a manager as well) she said there was only 3 seats and we couldn’t sit there. As a bartender myself I would’ve saw that opportunity as more money but I guess she didn’t want it. We then had a server who was confused by the drinks we were ordering off the drink menu. She came back several times to tell us “they were out” or “the bartender said she isn’t making any more”. It was a very poor mellow experience and one of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve had. It saddens me to know the city where mellow originated had one of the worst ones I’ve been to. TERRIBLE customer service.

Really bad experience with the restaurant... Staff for a take away order was not smiling and literally listless we wait 50 minutes to get 4 Pizzas, they never let you know when your order is ready. We had to ask them every 5/10 minutes to know about the status…

This place was packed on a Saturday afternoon. They share a parking lot with a Trader Joes so that might have been part of the problem. Anywhoo, we (party of 4) were seated pretty quickly. Everything was delicious--we got the Pretzel Bites, a Greek Salad to share and we got a pizza. There was only one piece of pizza left over and it got taken home with someone. It was pretty busy in the restaurant but our servers were available when we needed them and were quick to return. Overall it was a very good experience.

I come here all the time. I understand you might be busy but don’t put a customer on hold long enough that they are able to drive to the location and ask to place an order. THEN tell them they have to wait another 10 minutes to just place an order. As a person who works in customer service the way it was handled was done poorly. The woman did not apologize or at least take my order she basically ignored me. I do appreciate BB Judy because SHE is always on point and pleasant but when she’s not there, you can definitely tell. The customer service is just not there.

Me and my Fiancé went here for lunch, and we left with a very disappointing experience. The server Lukas was very polite, but I can’t say the same for Natalie the “manager”. We ordered a pitcher of beer and our server asked if we would like two glasses. When brought out it was two glasses or beer, not a pitcher. (In my experience when you order a pitcher the server asks how many glasses you want with that, and we said two) We notified the server of the misunderstanding, and that we wanted a pitcher of beer. He was polite and apologized for the misunderstanding. He told us that he “would bring us a pitcher, and do you just want me to leave the two pints for y’all”. We said yes, thinking we obviously wouldn’t be charged for that mistake. As we were finishing up our pitcher and about to leave we noticed the check had charged us for both the pints and the pitcher. (Obviously we would have told the server to take the two mistaken pints back if we thought they would charge us for that) The server then went back to see if he could get manager approval to take the two pints off of the check. He did come back with the adjusted check, but then proceeded to remove the remainder of our pitcher of beer (about two beers remaining in pitcher) and told us his manager Natalie said we could finish the pitcher to make up for the two pints we were not charged for. My Fiancé and I both asked to talk with the manager. (You would think in a customer services industry they would have reacted to the misunderstanding a bit different). “The manager” Natalie was extremely rude to the both of us, said some disrespectful word, turned her back on the both of us and decided to discontinue the conversation. Advice: find a manager willing to provide quality conflict resolution because Natalie did not hold any positive quality I would seek in a manager. GET BETTER! I love Mellow Mushroom, but I will never go back to this location. I will drive the extra mile to go to one of the two other locations in the area.

I would not recommend this Mellow Mushroom location. I had a very bad experience with their staff and was treated rudely by several of them. I ordered online and requested curbside pickup. My pizza was $30 and I added a 20% tip on. When I arrived the person answering said "Midtown hold!" and slammed the phone down. Finally when I was able to speak to person I said I was there for a curbside pickup. I requested that a side of ranch dressing be included, there is no option to do this on the website. I was told I'd have to pay for it. No other locations have asked for this but I agreed. She then said she couldn't charge me because I'd paid online and I said I'd pay cash. Finally a guy came out and asked me for 38 cents and I gave him a dollar. Another 10 minutes later he returned with my pizza and briskly handed it to me and and walked away without saying anything, I said thank you. There was no change nor were there 2 ranches, the pizza was cold and did not have the correct toppings. I called back and was rudely put on hold again and then asked for a manager, turned out to be the same person who insisted on getting 38 cents for the ranch dressing, her name was Candi. She refused to acknowledge how ridiculous their behavior was or to say thank you for my business and gratuity. AVOID THIS LOCATION, plenty of other Mellow Mushrooms in Atlanta.
