This was my 1st time hiking, and I enjoyed it so much! I got there around 8 a.m. and only a couple of people were there. The whole trail is about 1.5 miles, which is perfect. The stream and waterfall were so serene and peaceful, exactly what I needed. It is dog and kid friendly as well. I will definitely be going back. Nature heals✨️

Nice spot for a short hike. We enjoyed the afternoon out. Wasn't a lot to see but it was enjoyable being in nature and wasn't too crowded so was peaceful

Gorgeous Walking Trail. The Environment is so peaceful and calming. I love coming here for spiritual relaxation, meditation, grounding, earthing, steam releasement, walking exercise, and mindfulness practice too. Another great thing is that this place has two pathways to it ~ the left one which leads to the waterfall, and the right one that leads to a creek. Plus, The Walking trail wraps around the whole forest. So yeah, love coming here every other week. Issue : I absolutely hate the smokers that come here and ruin the peaceful environment along with the fresh air. How am I supposed to enjoy the fresh air and peaceful quiet environment with the smokers and loud music players who come here? So irritating. But aside from that, great walking trail all in all.

What a magical experience! You forget that you’re even near the city for a few hours. These trails are great for hiking and walking. Most trails don’t have specific markers so you might get lost. Bring a snack and some water if you plan to spend a few hours here. It’s awesome for a weekend date idea, just be prepared to sweat a bit. I can’t wait to explore again.

Really nice place to relax and enjoy nature. The waterfall is really nice as well. The yellow marked trail loops around. The only thing missing is a map of the trails...

Came here for a clean up for the river and park area. It is a very nice trail seems like they have about 2 miles of trails on 125 acres. There is no bathrooms that’s the only downfall. Plenty of parking for approximately 40 or 50 cars.

This was a very neat place to check out the trail wasn't that difficult and I still didn't the whole story behind all the flower and food offerings that people had placed through out the trail but it was still neat to see

Nature is normally not my thing. This was incredible. There are choices along the way to be challenging or an easier route. It's winter so I could see around the trees and gauge the incline. Other people were out and about on this sunny day also which I enjoy. Highly recommend. I'll most def be back, I'd love to see during different seasons.

Gorgeous area to spend the day or a quick walk. Such versatile trails for various time frames/skill levels/desire. Although would generally label the trails as easy. Lots of cute spots to just hang out and enjoy nature. Bunch of benches, perfect spot for a picnic. Easy to park and get on trail. Definitely recommend!

Adorable spot to hike. I went counter clockwise from the parking lot, and the waterfall was at the end. I would have given it 5 stars but there were no trail markers at intersections. I took a photo of the map in the parking lot but that didn't help much.

Great place to hike around. We drove through a neighborhood to get there and it seemed like it was very close to the highways and the city but once we got into the woods you can forget you are in the middle of Atlanta.

We hiked this trail on 9/20/2022. As pups, we LOVED this trail, but Mom and Dad didn’t. It was SO muddy! We like getting dirty, but Mom and Dad weren’t fans of that. There also was a bunch of trash everywhere that we LOVED grabbing, but once again, Mom and Dad don’t love us eating trash. The trail was also very hard to follow and we got lost multiple times! We had a fun time even still, but more than likely we would not return to this hiking spot :(

This place is a hidden gem. There are so many cool perks about this park. There’s a place to get married, there’s a waterfall and their are cool trails to venture off too. Words can’t really express how well thought out this place is

Checked out a nearby nature preserve in the neighborhood. There wasn’t a single map to guide you for any of the many trails. Signage on trails is faded or just missing. Nice forest views, but easy to get lost here.

Cascade springs is gorgeous & peaceful. The sound of moving water coming thru the brooks there is just so serene. A couple small water falls , some historic building along the way, and the sound of birds singing is just a nice little escape from the big city that surrounds it.

I like the fact that there are so many different rotes you can go and... it's shaded! The canopy from the trees keeps you out of the blazing sun(which I'm not a big fan of) so that you can enjoy your walks longer. Now it's still gonna be warm during the summer and you're gonna have to stay hydrated, but the variety of trails and shade make this a place I plan on adding to my list of places to walk/hike year round...

I love sitting by the little waterfall really helps me connect with myself and nature. Can def be a little busy but typically nobody stays for very long.the trails can easily be walked with small kids and the fall is a safe depth for them as well. Great secret hideaway in the city

Beautiful trail. Felt a little unsafe with all the “please don’t lock all your valuables in the car”, leading me to believe there were a significant amount of break ins there. Not sure why the parking lot was closed that day but the side gate was open. Definitely a good escape from the city and not too far from the center of Atlanta

A very nice plot of land preserved for wildlife, fairly large for being so centrally located. Went on a warm winter Sunday, mid-afternoon, and the cascades area was crowded with visitors (hiking, taking photos in evening gowns) but beyond that entrance area it was empty and quiet. Only downside it that it is not well-kept as far as being a “nature preserve”: invasive English Ivy everywhere and a lot of non-native flora. Another downside, common among city parks like this, is a lot of garbage everywhere,

Lovely nature preserve. Removing a star as the parking area was a bit of a mess and there were some folks openly enjoying smoking a bit of nature if you catch my drift. Clear trails, a very pretty water fall and dog friendly. A nice set of trails in the middle of the city.
